Sorry for the rant. I am in the 2 week waiting period and feeling rather frustrated doing the mad symptom spotting. This month I have discovered little thread veins on my chest. There are not many and I can only see them when I squint and we all know that they have most probably been there since forever and I have just never noticed them before. I know this and still I check them every time I go to the loo just to see if they are becoming more prominent or spreading. Another friend revealed that they were pregnant. She did the whole head tilt thing and said that she did not know how to tell me because she knew that dh and I had been trying for a while. I know that she is being sincere and is lovely for empathising but it has still put a bit of a damper over the last couple of days. They got it right practically first time too. I am in the spiralling corridor of Googling every type of symptom (as I do every month) and when I cannot possibly search for anything else I just hover over the keyboard, flip from one forum to the other, back to symptom spotting, forum, symptom spotting, forum, symptom spotting forums. I am going to stop now (going to the loo to check my boobs). If you made it this far, thanks for reading.

Big hug lovechoc - lots of bonking and chocolate! I shall keep you posted but I am getting AF twinges tonight As well as the chocolate, I am also rather partial to Bon Maman Madeleines! Currently 2 for 1 at Waitrose. Good luck for next month lovechoc

hope you have better luck than me MyMy, AF arrived this afternoon Really crap. Oh well, just away to eat loads of choc now.

Keep us posted when you get your BFP

MyMyFruityPie · 04/10/2009 19:59

Thanks lovechoc (love the name by the way). I have done one HPT so far and I am sitting, stapling, super gluing my hands to my sides so as not to dive for the other ones I have in the cupboard. I was wallowing yesterday, having one of those moments but it is nice to have a touchstone like Mumsnet. All of my close coupled friends are not babied up now and it is harder to speak about the whole ttc thing. Dh is lovely but I don't want to smother him with the whole whining more than I already do! Fingers crossed as you say, it will happen when we least expect it for both of us.

MyMy I'm like you and I'm ttc no2, so I do have an understanding of what it's like (it's just something that most of us don't talk about on here!). I'm also symptom spotting and wasted two HPTs already, even though AF is a few days later than normal. It's just a nightmare. Glad the chocolate has helped.

It will happen for you too, don't worry about it. From my experience, it usually happens when you least expect it.

MyMyFruityPie · 04/10/2009 11:12

Thanks differentnameforthis. I know, 10 months is nothing compared to some and today I am thinking more positively. I have chocolate so life is good. Lots of chocolate and sex and crossed fingers

10 months isn't too long, dh & I conceived after 12, so there is plenty of time!

MyMyFruityPie · 04/10/2009 00:53

Thank you FertilityFairy. I have read a little about cervical fluid but I shall definitely check out the website noted. The thrush has gone thank goodness and noted about the bd'g everyday. Thank you again FF

Ah you're still awake! Off to bed with you soon.

Your symptoms could be AF but could also be pregnancy ones. They are v similar sometimes. If you don't know all about it already, find out everything you can about fertile cervical fluid and next month have sex on every day that you see it. Not every other day - every day that you have the fertile stuff. www.fertilityfriends.com is a good resource. And hope the thrush is gone completely before then.

MyMyFruityPie · 04/10/2009 00:36

Ha ha. No chocolate - shop is closed.

Not a rude question FertilityFairy. DH and I are in line for test with the sub fertility clinic. Plus, I know what I am like. I went crazy symptom spotting when my last friend announced that she was pregnant. I am also expecting AF within the next week or so and I am sure that my boob twinges and cramps are due to that. BUT looking on the bright side, every baby is a blessing and I cannot think of a better person to be up the duff.

I am sure that we are having sex quite often but I had a stint of the thrush a few weeks back which I have never experienced and that blocked out precious bd'g time so hopefully we shall have a better go of it.

Tomorrows breakfast shall mainly consist of a bacon sandwich and a side portion of Green and Blacks milk chocolate.

She's probably needed the chocolate after reading our rude questions!

Mymy - all the best ttc!

FertilityFairy · 04/10/2009 00:26

She's either gone to the shop for more chocolate, northern lurker, or gone to bed, which is probably no bad thing!

Northernlurker · 04/10/2009 00:23

Here's another rude question - are you definately having enough sex do you think?

FertilityFairy · 04/10/2009 00:12

Why do you think you're not pregnant yet Fruity pie? Is that a rude question?

Northernlurker · 04/10/2009 00:07

I'm invading on this topic - saw your thread in active convos. I've had my kids and we were very lucky with conception.

I'm sure you'll get there too - maybe this month is your month too.

MyMyFruityPie · 04/10/2009 00:05

Thanks baconsandwich. Forget about chocolate! I want a Baconsandwich!

OP posts:
MyMyFruityPie · 04/10/2009 00:03

Ha ha that is a good way to look at it Northernlurker I am genuinely happy for her and have been trying to be positive. I am being stupid and feeling very sorry for myself tonight (late Saturday night tv has gone downhill. What else is there after X Factor?). Chocolate was necked hours ago, I need a second round but have tried to hold back the trip to the local shop so I have a bowl of grapes, some Panda Licorice (the cream variety it has a bit more sugar in it) and a Madelaine. They are not doing the job.

We have only been trying for 10 months, I know others have been trying for longer. I am 33, ttc 1st. How about you Northernlurker?

OP posts:
baconsandwich · 04/10/2009 00:02

I second northern lurker's chocolate advice. Out to the nearest petrol station if the cupboard is bare!

Poor you. Is very hard when other people get so easily what you have been wanting so hard. But there isn't one fewer baby in the world to go around because she's pregnant. You will get there too.

Northernlurker · 03/10/2009 23:54

Well look at it this way - she's pregnant, it's a done deal and you know about it. It will be at least 10 months before she's able to spring this sort of news on you again!

HAve you any chocolate in the house? I would neck it as quickly as possible.

How long have you been trying and how old are you?
