Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

PS forgot to add boodle, I thought you kept your cool pretty impressively (well for the bit I read. I stopped reading after a while as it raises my blood pressure too much)

thefatladyscreams · 09/10/2009 14:58

boodle - ohhhhh I'm cringing on your behalf! Hope you get some relief very, very quickly.

Yes it was the AIBU. To be honest, I've stopped posting on step parent issues on Mumsnet because of the often hostile reaction. But completely understand your frustration - DH's ex has changed schools, let children drop out half way through GCSEs etc all without even bothering to let him know, let alone consult. Sorry for slight thread detour everyone else - will stop now before I get on my soap box!

OP posts:
boodleboot · 09/10/2009 14:52

TFLS - oh yes....the joys of step parenting are sometimes very unclear....i kinda got a bit slated on that thread, are you talking about the AIBU one?

been to GP again today as the thrush i have been suffering with since before the ectopic is still hideous so they have taken a swab today and testing me for other infections....TMI for sure but i have scratched myself red raw over the last month, really tried not to but hey ho, my ladybits are dry, chapped cracked and covered in goo....subsequently every pee and poo i have is AGONNNNNNYYYYYYY.....

aah, feel so much better for sharing......

thefatladyscreams · 09/10/2009 12:02

Love apples's comment about Mr Chamois - probably spot on!

Pain about not ovulating yet apples - sounds like your cycle is still on a go slow.

Glad you had a good day back at work boodle . Saw your other post - didn't realise you were a fellow step mother.

My temps and monitor results are a bit weird at the moment. Could be this cold but my gut instinct is that I've either ovulated early and missed it or will not ovulate this month....

OP posts:
applesaretheonlyfruit · 08/10/2009 19:38

Hi, I am on CD16 and do not appear to be ovulating... Some spotting yesterday and I STILL do not know what is going on.

Well done Chamois, your DH may have asked about dinner, but in his head he was actually saying "YES! Well done, lads".

Cheepz · 08/10/2009 17:06

MrsRigby · 07/10/2009 21:15

Congratulations chamoiscreased.

boodleboot · 07/10/2009 21:09

that is FABULOUS news chamois - totally understand about not wanting to get excited but am praying and praying this little bean sticks....we need some good luck on this thread....

barrenbrook · 07/10/2009 19:47

Yey Chamo, congratulations! I echo the others comments, we'll be excited for you

Just a flying visit as i'm at work, didn't want to leave without saying congrats to chamo. Hope everyone is well.

Cheepz · 07/10/2009 17:34

yay chamo whoop whoop

I am quite sure we will all feel the same - wanting to get the pg somewhat established before getting to thrilled about it - someone posted early on this thread that an mc steals your pregnancy innocence where you move from just assuming everything will be ok to assuming its all going to go tits up.

But like Meita said - you just join our Chamo party in your own time.

Cheepz rushed off to have a glass of wine for Chamo - (any excuse)

thefatladyscreams · 07/10/2009 17:30

tigerbear hope it was OK going back to the EPU. At least you know where you stand now. Good luck for this cycle

OP posts:
tigerbear · 07/10/2009 16:49

Hello!
How is everyone?
Congrats to Chamois!!!!!

Well, EPU was exactly as I thought it would be - did blood test again, and it was neg, no pg hormones left.
On a good note, I THINK AF is here - yey! So can start to work out when a good time for BDing.

thefatladyscreams · 07/10/2009 16:32

chamois - yipeee that is fantastic news. I love meita's comments

It must be really natural for your reactions to be different this time - as you say, self protection.

Really happy for you. You might even inspire me to find the energy to do the deed tonight (have a stinking cold but the call of the monitor cannot be ignored!)

OP posts:
Meita · 07/10/2009 16:09

OMG chamois!!!!!

Such excellent news!

I understand you not wanting to get too excited. Instead, we will be excited for you, ok?

Come and join us in being excited for you when you feel ready!

chamoiscreased · 07/10/2009 13:10

Well it's a definite positive. Feel really underwhelmed though, DH equally so. Last time I got pg, conversation with DH went like this:

Me: I'm pregnant
DH: Fantastic, we need names/buggy/car seat/to redecorate whole house/write wills etc etc

This time
Me: I'm pregnant
DH: OK. What's for dinner?

Such is the reality of pg after mc I guess! I think it's our way of protecting ourselves should the worst happen again.

Cheepz · 07/10/2009 09:45

chamo news news please!! sounds very promising

zayja sorry about that - what a drag, know exactly how you feel though

am now in 2ww - right at the beginning, trying not to think about it - but we have at least managed 3 bd in the window this month which is best since mc.

working from home today as meeting cancelled so thats a big plus for getting lots of things done

zayja · 07/10/2009 00:20

Hi Ladies!
Well chamois, how exciting, that is great news to hear. I second tfls - get some confirmation so we can add you to the official grads list!

boodle, so nice to hear from you, and hear that you're taking care of yourself and being taken care of too. It sounds like your work is good to you, hope your return goes well tomorrow.

cheepz - it's too late , I poas this AM - BFN - of course. I've had a bit of spotting yesterday and then some today, but still no AF. She is really dragging her feet! My birthday is this Fri. Oct. 9 - I'll be 34. I've been holding out hope though I know I shouldn't, that I'd get a BFP as the best present ever. Yes, louisesh, I am totally sick of the deja vu each month. This is something like cycle 5 post-mc for me, and each month the same: pleasepleaseplease...aw shucks!

thefatladyscreams · 06/10/2009 18:18

Hi all,

Been away for a long weekend with PIL who flew home today. So have house back to ourselves, a High reading on my monitor this morning but I'm feeling ill and DH is being a real grump so not sure it bodes well for us getting our act together tonight .

Still trying to get over my mental picture of what cheepz's [iseeewcm] emoticon would look like!

Sorry to hear about the AFs. I'd truly expected to see some BFPs as everytime I've not posted for a couple of days, they seem to appear. So was hoping to bring good luck with my absence!

Good to hear from you boodle. Hope tomorrow goes well.

How is your sister doing meita? I'm assuming she lives in Switzerland which must make it even more heart breaking and frustrating for you as you can't go round and give her a huge hug.

chamois - get thee to a pharmacy girl. We want news!!!

boodleboot · 06/10/2009 18:06

chamois

A LINE IS A LINE IS A LINE

congrats....

chamoiscreased · 06/10/2009 16:41

Ok tested again today, not FMU as too impatient for that, if there's a stick in the house I must wee on it immediately
Very faint second line. Why do I buy these silly tests with lines?! Am now going to have to get clearblue digital tomorrow for a definitive answer. [sigh]

Cheepz · 06/10/2009 11:20

Updated list ... Chamo, MrsR, Louisesh, Tiger we are waiting

Zayja - step away from the early tests

I had my little ovulation sign on the persona yesterday and today - is only indicative but also had cramps this morning so planning to jump dh tonight - we did manage saturday night too so that would be 10, 13 and 16 and CM has indicated 10 and persona day 15/16 - not so much CM yesterday so if it materialises today will know that was ov cramps this morning

Boodle - great you are going to have counselling and I think you should bide your time and make the decision in your own way as and when you feel ready.

Here is Tuesdays list

morning all
back to work tomorr....as i work for a local authority they have very kindly arranged for some couselling sessions for me...six to begin with. This will be good for getting my head around whether i personally want to try again. to be honest i still swing between thinking yes then no then yes....DH and i got back on the horse so to speak and used a condom and had a wonderful reconnection of why we used to have sex as opposed to BD...i quite like the idea of no baby to be honest but worry that long term it will be the wrong decision for our little family, ooh its all so complicated now....i wish i could just obsess over CD with you all, believe it or not that was far less stressful...

hope you are all doing well and that we get some BFP's this month....xx
