Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

lee good to hear from you. Ah, moving time, such a hassle! We moved just before last christmas and the stress of it all made me catch a cold - which developed into an ear infection that had to be treated by antibiotics - which caused thrush - which helped a UTI on its way - which didn't go away through 3 courses of different antibiotics! Meaning I was basically not well until the end of February. So here's me hoping that moving will be easier on you! At least you get rewarded with a new house to settle in to
Hm, B12 deficiency, are you perchance vegetarian? Vegeterians (and vegans even more so) often have trouble maintaining B12 levels. Well at least perhaps they found what was causing the MCs - that creates hope for a new go?

cheepz chin up! The 2ww can get you down, but perhaps you are just being emotional due to pg-hormones? I know what you mean about the pgy, and first months - without having gone through it myself yet, and while wanting to get just there, I fear it too! I'm rubbish if I haven't slept enough. Then again, you mention how very dear your DS is - imagine having two such DC! Wouldn't it be worth it all?
No I don't know anything cycle-related to do with sore throats, wishing you speedy recovery!

Ok need to get home - take care everyone!

Cheepz · 12/10/2009 22:54

i have another bloody virus - seems like several of my 2ww including the one running up to pg and subsequent mc in August had sore throat, stuffy nose and chest congestion. I think this is the 4th time in 6 months - whats the deal?? Anyone else got a recurring sore throat that pops up a week after ovulation lasts for a few days but never materialises into anything major??!!! as if the 2ww wasn't bad enough. Am beginning to wonder if its something hormonal.

That aside tomorrow is CD 23 - 5 days til P day, as before though, no early sticks for me, not least because I have zero symptoms, no nausea, no boob swelling / soreness, no tiredness other than the normal full time work plus two year old kind, no cramps or bloating, no cravings, no wierd CM, no mood swings, no implantation bleed so all in all am keeping level of expectation to minimum

Am beginning to wonder whether I should just forget about ttc and be content with ds who is so very d indeed. Trouble is a big part of me wants another dc so he has a sibling, to be frank the notion of doing pregnancy, birth and the first 9 months again fills me with dread as I am not good at the baby stage - although he was terrible sleeper and I was so exhausted the whole time it was like prolonged sleep deprivation torture

Hark and me - what a doom and gloom monger - chin up Cheepz, get a life

LeeWT · 12/10/2009 22:33

hi all

Sorry for not being back in a while.. no real reason just really busy as we are moving house in a couple of weeks so the logistics are a nightmare..

hope you are all well.. and WOW two BFPs!!!!!!

chamois I know it's awful getting a BFP when you've been through what you've been through and it's so hard to feel excited.. my feeling on this was that you have to give hope to this bean and be as excited as you can let yourself be but that took a few days for me to get to..

mrsR - Congrats you! the whole at it like rabbits idea works then! and better still you can probably put DH off wanting sex for ages now!!

have had a bit of a revelation - the drs after loads of tests have diagnosed me with a vitamin B12 deficiency.. I did a bit of googling and this has been linked with early miscarriage between 6-8 weeks. both of my miscarriages were at this time..

Hopefully this isnt relevant to anyone here but if youve had two or more miscarriages it would be worth asking for a B12 test (not iron level this is separate)..

no other news, glad to see that our grads list is lengthening!!! was really nice to read back and catch up on everyone's news!!

xxx

Cheepz · 12/10/2009 11:16

apples hope noone got in your way on the bd dash, as mrsr says every other night for a couple of days - me and dh only managed every other other night this month - progress for us but may still not be enough - like zayja my report should say 'must try harder'

totally so good to hear from you - we will have to make sure we have a Bubs category once yours is delivered - you must be over halfway no - so encouraging for the rest of us

BFP

I said I wasn't going to poas again, but I found myself in THAT isle and thought what the hell - DH made sure it was only a ASDA cheepy though.

It's a faint line, so DH has gone to the local Co-op for a Clearblue. But, a line is a line.

He won't txt the family and friends yet until we get another positive (it wasn't like this with DS), but I'm dying to tell people to make it real. It just doesn't seem real. I can't believe it.

I'm in complete shock.

boodleboot · 11/10/2009 13:23

hello - zayja boo for you. next month hun, next month...

went to my church this morning and one of the ladies had her beautiful newborn Charlotte in her arms, absolutely adorable only 5 days old. i had not one feeling of jealousy or envy towards her believe it or not.....it REALLY DID make me think that i would like one of my own tho which is the most positive i have felt about trying again so far. More of a WHEN i am ready to try rather than IF....

I have just ordered Toni Weschlers book and will read up and try and really get in tune with my body and diet {gone slightly to pot i am afraid and am a bit hefty at the min, just put my skinny jeans on and looked like i was squashed into a sausage skin....}
I reckon if i get a good sense of what my body is up to then i will feel more confident and positive about TTC with only one tube {and a dodgy looking tube at that...}. The doc said i would only have to try for 6 months or so before she would consider fertility drugs to assist this time so that is good... DH isn't getting any younger and i think he is also coming round to idea that we owe it to this baby that is trying to be born to give it another go....

work was suprisingly ok, i have lovely job and lovely colleagues who have been very tender with me.

Meita · 11/10/2009 12:26

Ladies,

totally nice of you to check in. I've been following the grad thread and it does seem to be a bit unlucky! Well perhaps some of our more recent grads will come and join you to get things a bit more lively. Or if it gets overly quiet over there, you are always welcome to come and share some pg-vibes with us here!

boodle how is "back to work" working out, now that the special "first day back" feeling is wearing off and everyday routine is kicking back in?

zayja

chamo how are you feeling now? Do come and celebrate with us when you feel like it, ok? I have the feeling this thread could do with some upbeatness right now - or is that just me?

everyone it seems things are dragging a bit ... cheepz's 2ww seems to be going on forever, tiger and louise are stuck in the unpredictable wtf-cycle, apples ovulation got lost, MrsRigby appears to be stuck in a PCOS-rut, and Zayja got caught by AF ... I hope at least TFLS is seeing some action! Over here, we've started getting down to business, although I think it's a bit early still, and my temp curve is zigzagging its way into uninterpretability, so I've half convinced myself that this is going to be another anovulatory cycle - making it all the harder to stay motivated for BD, not to speak of coming up with the discipline to POAS at the right time of day, having not had anything to drink for two hours beforehand and not been to the toilet for four hours beforehand... arrgh (the downside of cheepy e-bay OPK - they require discipline)

Anyway, that's me for now - I have been more productive at work than I have been for a long time, and ergo found less time to obsess about TTC and MN, will try to keep that up!

zayja · 11/10/2009 03:33

MrsRigby · 10/10/2009 21:51

Well it's CD33 and still no period.

You'll all be proud of me though, went shopping today and didn't buy a single stick to pee on.

I figure I'll either get a period at some point or when I get an ultrasound scan at the hospital, it'll show I'm pregnant.

In the meantime I'm still angry and pissed off and still having sex every other night. I don't even like sex.

I've decided I'm going to console myself with a Radley bag.

applesaretheonlyfruit · 10/10/2009 12:16

MrsR, I read the website that Meita suggested, about miscarriage and the after effects, and ALL of it resonates with me. It is pregnancyloss.info.

My body has been giving out all sorts of false signals since the mmc. Twice, I would have sworn I was pregnant, absolutely, because of the physical symptoms, and the reality is that I probably hadn't even ovulated..

Totally, we haven't given up hope and really want to swell your numbers on the other thread by jumping over.. soon.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 09/10/2009 20:55

Hi guys just wanted to pop back in. Seems like this thread is very positive Good to see.

There's only a very small number of us left on the other thread now.

Hope you are all well.

xXx

MrsRigby · 09/10/2009 20:54

Evening

I was going to test today or tomorrow, but:

  1. I've already wasted over £100 in poas and
  2. Let's be honest, I'm not pregnant.

I'm angry and pissed off that it's not happened. Though not suprised as I do have PCOS. In the time it's taken me to not conceive, my sister-in-law, friend and most of the June bus have got pregnant. I'll bet you there's already someone on the July bus who's pregnant.

DH is due back from London in about an hour, looking forward to snuggling. How does he expect us to get pregnant, cuddling is not going to do it. That said we did have sex last night.

Cheepz · 09/10/2009 19:15

I rarely post on any AIBU as I find most of the people who respond are in fact quite unreasonable themselves!

I go and have a prod when I am in a stirring mood but otherwise steer clear especially when I am trying to maintain low stress levels!

Good day, lots done, 2ww dragging its heels - ages to go [impatientandpetulantgrimace]

Quiet weekend with ds and dh ... finally

mrsr spill, what news

boodleboot · 09/10/2009 18:31
