Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

does anyone use the clearblue fertility monitor - have heard great things and am contemplating buying one - would rush out today but i think you have to start using it on day 1 of your cycle and i am on day 2 now!

zayja thanks xxxx to you and heres hoping this cycle will be the one.

zayja · 19/10/2009 00:33

cheepz - keep hoping it's everyone's month - it's so shite when AF arrives. When mine comes this month, I think I'm going to investigate fertility treatments - whatever that entails - I just don't think I can bear it much longer.
My feeling is that I'm going to think positive and try hard this month, maybe hard work and positive vibes will do the trick.
chamois, sending you big hugs and hoping everything's ok. I hear so many stories of women who've bled a bit early on - hang in there and we're here for you whatever you need!
Welcome tigger, you'll find lots of great support on this thread.
Congrats on AF boodle, only a few months of fun practice BD and time to gear up for the fun of ttc again.
Mrs. R, think positive thoughts if you can (we will for you) I'm on the every other day BD schedule per your recommendation...

Cheepz · 18/10/2009 21:38

... and there I go sailing down to the bottom of the list. As predicted AF arrived late yesterday evening...

Why can't ovulation be as predictable as my f*cking period.

Chamo thinking of you and sending you a hundred positive vibes - all the ones I have, I certainly don't need them at the moment. Please try and be calm and like meita says drink lots

mrsr I know I will feel exactly the same .. if I ever get pregnant that is!

But how come it seems to be soo easy for everyone else, apart from us lot, to firstly get pg , then secondarly stay pg....????

Its not fair!!!!! I try to stay positive but as you all know its soo hard!!!!!!!

Sorry for moaning its just ??????? CRAP...

Promise i will try and pick myself up mentally...Mantra to self "don t be such a whingey cow" Boring self!!!!

Meita · 18/10/2009 12:10

Oh chamo (((hugs))) I'm keeping everything crossed for you. There is really not much you can do... Lie down a lot, drink plenty!

I hope for this bleeding being benign and your bean a sticky bean.

Hang on in there. It's not lost yet!

chamoiscreased · 18/10/2009 10:11

Hi I'm still here and following you all but lying low, as if somehow that's going to make any difference to the outcome of this pregnancy Thank you all for being pleased on my behalf, it means a lot, and I hope you all get your BFPs soon.

mrs R - congratulations. I do know that awful feeling that this pregnancy will go the same way as the previous one.

I have started bleeding over the last couple of days and really don't know what to do with myself. I'm not sure I'm strong enough to get through this again.

thefatladyscreams · 17/10/2009 23:00

Chocolate sounds spot on MrsR.

I'd have thought the fear of miscarrying again is sadly something that goes with the territory now. I suspect we sometimes focus on it to prevent our hopes getting too high.

But it is just that - a fear. A fear based on one horrible experience. This pregnancy is new and there is absolutely no reason why you won't go on to have another little one running you ragged. I'd have thought you'd still be a little early for many symptons so I wouldn't over worry about that.

More medicinal chocolate needed MrsR! Sending you a big virtual bar.

MrsRigby · 17/10/2009 20:02

Evening

DH and I both have a feeling I'm going to miscarry, we finally admitted it to each other today.

I don't want to miscarry.

Why do we both have this feeling? We never felt like this with DS. The sooner I get that scan the better.

I'm trying to be positive, I don't have any of the symptoms - I'm still checking the 3 BFPs (it's really stinking out the downstairs toilet).

We went to Mothercare today and brought a teddy and some 'baby boy' and 'baby girl' clothes for the new baby. Something physical until the scan.

Then visited my in-laws and ended up going out for lunch with them - they paid, which was really nice of them. Must txt them and thank them again.

I do wish they'd back of a little though. Before we've even got through the door they want to hold the baby (he's 11 months and heavy and just wants to crawl and cruise), today the camera was out pretty much all the time, the mother-in-law put cusions over the fireplace, got teddys etc for DS to play with (even though he doesn't want to play with them and we bring his toys anyway) and basically she takes over. In the restaurant we sat down and she asked if I wanted the table moved a little so DS could go on the end. Twice I said no, there was room, DH also said it was okay, but she went ahead anyway and moved the table. She just completly takes over.

Anyway, sitting here waiting for The X Factor to start, how is everyone?

Yeh I forgot to mention, I'm munching on some Thorntons chocolate - DH made me buy some .

thefatladyscreams · 16/10/2009 22:36

Welcome back mrsR. Glad you're doing so well - just hope your DH doesn't snore tonight! Mine does after a drink.

Cheepz you're not out until you're out. Or at least until I've sung! Still got my fingers crossed for you. But if AF appears you can join me in the slippery side and order some preseed!

OP posts:
Cheepz · 16/10/2009 20:34

Have pmt - light cramps and all signs are AF in next day or so - came on CD 29 last month so would expect maybe tomorrow cd27 this month as often if longer one month is slightly under the next. If not then would think by how I am feeling will be sunday. Only have self to blame I mean I know it only takes once but I should be making much more of an effort to go for every other day from 9 to 17!! But that's just so much sex!!!

Hello mrsr my dh also out tonight and feel much the same as you - am contemplating watching marley and me and easting chicken soup. Seeking comfort??!!

Glad you are not feeling crappy and that you are going to hang here for a while.

tfls my downward yo has finished and I seem to be yoing back up, hope you do to

meita how goes it, looks like we dragged you with us

tigger you still around? Hope you are doing ok

Any news from tigerbear

MrsRigby · 16/10/2009 20:20

Evening - remember me?

I've been so tired (I know that's a crap excuse) .

Firstly boodleboot congratulations on getting your period. Hopefully the next thing I'll be congratulating you on is a BFP

cheepz I'm not leaving you all, you guys were really nice to me, so I'm here to support you back. Even if it does take me a couple of days to get back in the swing of mn.

DH is out tonight, something which I'm pretty happy about because he just seems so annoying. Unfortunately, he's pointed out that he's going to be so drunk tonight that I'll have to get up in the night to see to ds.

Like my last pregnancy no symptoms - I must be the luckiest woman on the planet. My breasts feel heavier and my tummy has already grown a little (no not from all the chocolate and take-a-ways I've been consuming lately). I've just been Googling the tummy thing and apparently for subsequent pregnancies you do get a bump sooner and bigger.

I hope your all having sex every other night .

Good luck. I've got my fingers crossed for you all.

I'll stop by again tomorrow - promise

thefatladyscreams · 16/10/2009 18:37

Evening everyone,

Good news boodle - AF at last! Roll on the next few months and whatever comes after that...

meita - hopefully nature will catch you out and you'll get a BFP the one cycle you are not expecting it! [TFLS puts on her best optimistic, one foot foward face] I had a temp surge today which is weird as I was sure I hadn't ovulated this cycle (usually happens around day 13-14). Typical as seen no action this week as felt really ill and decided it wasn't worth it as wasn't ovulating! Bet it turns out to be a late ovulation and I've missed the boat. Mother Nature - this isn't funny any more.

I've ordered some preseed for next month as part of my continual yo-yo between obsession and depressed apathy. Oh well, at least it will make a change!

cheepz how are you doing? I'll be thinking of you this weekend and wondering if you will resist the urge to test early. Avoid all pharmacy aisles when you do the shopping!

MrsR - where are you? I have a vision of you still running around waiving a BFP stick in the air!

Hope you all have a good weekend. Our heating has broken so off to load up the woodburner and jostle for best position with the dog!

Hi tigger, welcome.

Cheepz · 15/10/2009 22:11

and chamo and viv - we are doing ok on this thread, it will be our turn one day!!

Cheepz · 15/10/2009 22:10

Yay for Boodles AF arriving Woot wooot

I am still symptom free, apart from craving curry, chocolate and apple pie - but i think thats comfort eating diet has gone to the dogs this week while i have an indulgent low spell.

Next week I promise I will be back to my normal upbeat self - even though will be with Flo as oppose to with child, I think its maybe just all caught up with me a little.

That being said I am feeling better today - probably its the news that Boodles got her period! and the huge amount of sugar I have snarfed tonight, might just top it off with a glass of wine in bed with my book! DS slept through most of the week so am finally not tired to so thats good.

meita and tfls hugs and supportive nodding of head and comiserating about how crap it all is.

Might go and see if DH wants to have sex for fun! wouldn't that be a novelty

didn't find mrsr on any buses yet might go check out the grads see what Littleonemum and waiting are up to as well

boodleboot · 15/10/2009 18:55

I HAVE GOT MY PERIOD

not somthing we usually celebrate on here granted, BUT when it is the first one post ectopic pregnancy i figure i deserve a WOOP WOOP for the fact that my ladybits still work....

This means that i need to wait another two cycles before i can officially TTC again....with a little bit of working out i can see that if i have my usual 28 day UCL then my 10th ish of dec i should be able to officially offically start to TTC....

my thrush is starting to clear very slowly...i am following the harcombe diet which is naturally elimitating the candida in my gut that is out of control....

welcome to the newbies....this is a lovely thread, welcome to you. xxxxx

Meita · 15/10/2009 18:03

Good evening ladies,

welcome tigger I echo what cheepz said... stick around a bit and you'll see how friendly and upbeat we all are (except right now)

In case anyone would like to know, today is "pregnancy loss remembrance day" (I think it is an American thing) and the plan would be to light a candle at 7pm for one hour. I know it is a bit late to be announcing this and I won't be, myself, as will still be at work - but will think of candles and all of us women out there who had to experience the loss of a pregnancy.

I soooo have the feeling right now that it will never work for me. I usually ovulate on CD17-20, (and sometimes CD22-26 or even later), and now is CD17 so I should be full of expectation and hope - instead I just know that I won't ovulate. Ah well. Have resigned myself to the "plodding on" strategy. Totally with you there TFLS - is this lack of ovulation nature's punishment for us wanting to go back to TTC immediately after MC?

Cheepz · 15/10/2009 16:16

Hi tigger welcome and sorry you are here and glad you are here - have added you to the list but you might want to add your details

I am feeling better today - although somewhat resigned as still no bloody symptoms but there you go - not feeling pmt yet but would expect that only around CD27. Seems everyone is feeling the frsutration at the mo - maybe its about milestones and christmas is a big one - so I know I am thinking it would be lovely to be pg by Christmas - louisesh same boat, but like tfls says sometimes it all seems so hard and i know that - its never going to happen feeling so well

tigger you must ignore us when we are like this - normally we are very supportive and upbeat but you caught us in a slump - might be that we are all a little as well as being about mrsr because she is a big part of our group and we are happy but if she slides off to a bus we will miss her ALOT

thefatladyscreams · 15/10/2009 15:20

Hi all

Oh MrsR - what fantastic news. I've been away for a long weekend and had been admiring your resolve at not testing as I caught up on this thread. Blimey, aren't these things meant to come in threes [looks at the list for who's up next!] Have you got over the shock yet?

louisesh - glad you had a great holiday despite AF's appearance. I completely share your mix of emotions. I go from obsessing about getting pregnant, being laid back in a what will be will be manner to getting so hacked off that I think about giving up. I guess because I'm coming up for 41 shortly that all these feelings are getting compressed.

Still got a stinking cold and ear infection and think I'm having yet another cycle where I've not ovulated. So have written this cycle off and not even thinking about the 2ww. I think I've only ovulated in 1 out of 4 cycles since my m/c - how the hell am I meant to get pregnant! And I've put on 5lbs in the last month (had lost 2.5 stone). Blimey - just read this back and I'm not in the best of moods today - sorry

Welcome tigger15 - I'm not usually such a grumpy cow, honest! The grapefruit juice I think is meant to improve your CM from memory. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The added twist of trying to manage your diabetes whilst TTC sounds difficult -as your hospital's comment suggests!

apples glad to hear you're finally ovulating - do hope you tracked down DH in time!

Hope you're feeling better cheepz. PITA this 2ww business. I hate biology sometimes. Why can't we just have sex and then test the next day! [TFLS stamps her foot but then thinks better about the cost of all those testing sticks!]

Sorry AF got you zayja.

Lovely to hear from you totally - how are you doing?

meita - glad you're finding work more productive. I find a real link with how I'm feeling about TTC and my work motivation. [Hence you can guess I've wasted spent most of today reading Mumsnet etc!]

Lee - interesting about the vitamin B12 deficiency. How do they treat it - just a supplement?

boodle - the Toni Weschler book is good. I'm thinking of trying pre-seed. Was it you who used it before?

Hi All .Congrats on the BFPs.....Just returned from my cruise was BEST holiday ever loved it, just in the process of booking next years!!!!!

AF came on holiday, bloody typical. at 33 days so now back to it.Now on CD5 soo start BD again soon,.Got appt for re-current MC clinic on Monday, next week soo be interesting to see what they say.Knew it wouldn t be a bfp this month, just knew. The holiday was just what i needed to take my mind off TTC.

Back at work next Monday BAD, going to see Michael Mcintyre Mon night GOOD.

Don t know how long fertility is increased after a MC????? Does anyone know? Or if its just a myth???? Would soo love to be pg before xmas , last 2 xmas'es should have been pg but each time had a MC soo would like to erase that reminder for a nice memory....

Think will really go for it this month as timewise starting to get a bit bored of the whole TTC thing now, nearly 2 years and nothing to show for it!!!! Just booked to go back to Bruges for my bday in Dec soo booking something every 2 months soo always something to look foreward to as is the only way i find, i can stop myself getting too down about whats happened.

Does anyone else ever think it may never happen????? Sorry to end on a bit of a downer, i tend to dip in and out of feeling ok to feeling pis*ed off!!!!!

tigger15 · 15/10/2009 13:31

Hi can I join? We are ttc no. 2. I got pg in April and mcd at the end of June at about 10-11 weeks. Follow one ERPC under GA an infection and we started again. This will be 4th attempt since then and still no luck.

Plus I'm type 1 diabetic which makes the whole process a little more stressful as very tight control has to be maintained throughout. I just had a hospital appt for the diabetes and was informed the reason they want to see you after 6 months of ttc is because most women are on the verge of a nervous breakdown from the pressure of keeping control without any visible reward for doing so. And of course all these nice friends of mine keep on announcing they are going to be due when I would have been if not for the mc.

So back to the scars on my fingers from too many blood tests and here we go again.

BTW what is the thing with grapefruit juice?

applesaretheonlyfruit · 14/10/2009 21:37

Well, done with the gardening. Nooo more.

Last time we went through this "procedure", after the mmc, and I didn't know I wasn't even ovulating, when I said I wasn't pregnant, dh asked, "why not". Good like that, Dh, you know, sensitive.

Cheepz · 14/10/2009 13:50

not one single symptom .....

ds was in new car seat this morning for the first time - he is growing up so fast, i want another baby!! NOW

patience with this whole ttc milarky wearing abit thin, next month I am going to push for days 10, 12, 13, 14, 15! regardless of what the persona says!

mrsr how goes it? sorry to have hit a low spot bang after your BFP - unrelated - think its the whole cold, why aren't my boobs sore, am I really going to have to shag on a schedule again next month psycosis taking over

xx

Morning all,

First things first, Mrs R Yey! Big congratulations to you, so good to get a couple of BFPs on here, gives us all a little hope. All your hard work paid off!

Cheepz sorry you're feeling rubbish about it all. It's tough staying motivated when it's the same thing every month and the 2ww drags on and on. I've completely lost faith at the moment too but we must give ourselves a slap round the face and get on with it ; ) You never know, no symptoms of anything could be a good sign!

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all well and having lots of sex!
