Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

hey guys...

talk did NOT go well....DH says that he would feel more comfortable waiting until after christmas to try again. I have decided that i will deny him sex until he relents....[hhmmm]

i really don't like the idea of actively trying to prevent a pregnancy by using barriers (condoms....frickin hate them!)it seems so totally against what we are trying to acheive....he'll cave, some may say 'emotional blackmail' but i say 'using all available weapons in the arsenal....'

really hope Chamo is ok....

just finished toni weschlers book - really interesting. have ordered basal body temperature thing but really think that CM is the way forward. i will really monitor it. she gives really clear pictures of the different types of CM in the book (gross to normal people i am sure but TOTAL fascination for the likes of us!) Also this meditation i am doing nightly (female fertility enhancer) is realllllly chilling me out...would definitely recomment it to you ladies.....

It also said that the CM has to be really good quality in this book for the sperm to swim through. I got pregnant the month that i used the PRESEED which makes the best swimming envirnment....will be using again for the next time to supplement my CM. Just a thought for any of you that haven;t tried it so far....

Hi,
We are about to TTC after MC earlier this month, have been told to wait for period after MC. Does anyone have any idea on how long this normally takes. Not planning to use ovulation kits or anything just try the wait the and see method. Do you think it is okay to try and again so soon, I'm finding it difficult to know how to feel about it all, don't want to seem as though I've just forgotton about MC'd baby but don't want to leave it too long either.

Meita · 21/10/2009 09:45

Hey bubba, sorry to hear about your MC and that it took you so long to just ovulate again

As I understand, it is possible to get EWCM at any time post ovulation, although it is not common. I quite often had fertile looking CM a few days after the temp surge. Maybe the "week" is more of a threshold - as in, you can get fertile looking CM up to a week after ovulation? I read somewhere that it happens because sometimes your body continues producing small amounts of estrogen.

How did you determine that you ovulated? By OPK? Or by temp surge?

In any case, don't let your CM drive you mad. You've ovulated, the CM is now irrelevant. You may now go and find other pet worries to occupy you in your 2ww ;-)

Fingers crossed!

bubbalewy · 21/10/2009 00:07

Does anyone know why i had ewcm 3 days post Ovulation, i understand it can happen about a week after, but 3 days ?? I dont usually notice it very much so cant use it as a sign of Ov. This has just thrown me a bit?? Anyone ever had this?, This is my first month of OV since Mc on 30th april. I def did Ov 3 days prior .. Thanks anyone..

Meita · 20/10/2009 23:24

Thanks everyone for being so nice, sharing your ovulation troubles and thinking of me!

CM is the same as yesterday - not perfect but much improved from before. OPK still all negative though, and temp low. So anything could still happen. (Which means I've got to assume I might be fertile. This is starting to be a bit dreary (is that a word?))

chamo thinking of you. Take care honey!

tigger I myself have only used ovulation tests since last cycle (which was anovulatory) so don't have much personal experience - yet to see a BFP on such a test. Have heard though that cheapy tests from e-bay are supposed to be fine. Have heard to stear clear from the mid-stream cheepies, and go for the dippy cheepies instead. But honestly, that's all hear-say.
Having cheepies does make me more relaxed about using them. Going with CB would cost me a fortune!
Early pg tests can create huge discussions all by themselves .

tigger15 · 20/10/2009 21:25

Does anyone have any views of the cheap pregnancy and ovulation tests on amazon? The ones called "ultra early". How reliable are they?

Cheepz · 20/10/2009 21:14

I know - I was worrying about chamo tis afternoon. fingers crossed everythings fine.

also wondering how boodles talk went with dh

am all set to start monitoring tomorrow, it has given me somethnig else to focus on which should have some novelty factor for the next 2 months to keep me motivated!

dh out tonight so have been watching crap tv all night ... bliss!!

barrenbrook · 20/10/2009 18:08

Has anyone heard how Chamois is doing? Hope she's OK and the bleed was just a blip and nothing more, fingers tightly crossed.

Cheepz Glad you got your CBFM and hope that it brings you the results we all crave! I've found Amazon is the cheapest (most reliable) place to get the sticks from. Get dipping! I am quite skilled at peeing in toothpaste pump lid (an old one I hasten to add) now, TMI!

Meita Any more updates on your CM? Has it become even more friendly and fertile like? Hope so....

Hope everyone else is well

tigerbear · 20/10/2009 14:49

Hello zayja and Cheepz. Cheepz - let us know how you get on with the CBFM- am very intrigued as to how those things work...

Cheepz · 20/10/2009 11:46

the CBFM has arrived - I have hidden it under my desk and will start tomorrow morning, it was not so bad on amazon - stil £60 plus sticks are £12 pcm, but I figure its worth it to help narrow the window and optimise shagging opportunities!

feeling abit better today - probably less hormonal and less heavy - my periods have been crazy since ds and more so since mc 2 days where it all seems to fall out (sorry if tmi) and then light bleed for 2 days, as oppose to 5 days medium flow, makes the first 2 days grim but its over faster.

hope everone doing well today

zayja · 20/10/2009 11:31

meita, my experience with post mmc ov was similar to apples. Well, first of all, anovulatory for 3-4 months, them finally ov late at cd 18-20. Watch out though, the next month it snuck up on me day 10-12! Almost missed it not wanting to waste a stick that early! Good luck and hang in there!
yay boodle, also hope the talk goes well and it's smooth sailing on the ttc ship.
Glad that things are back to normal for you tigerbear, it sure is a relief to be able to ttc again. (for the most part )
I went to purchase CBFM this summer, but it was something like $250 and the $40 for a month of sticks - steep - but still tempting . Hope it's productive and fun!
Well, off to work !

applesaretheonlyfruit · 19/10/2009 21:48

Actually ov was CD19, not 26, but still five days later than normal.

applesaretheonlyfruit · 19/10/2009 19:16

Meita, to answer your question, after the ERPC had 65 days without period. After AF arrival I started ov testing (peeing on sticks), until on day 26 the test showed a smiley face for ov. Pre mmc, I was UCL28, hitting ov on CD14, so this time it took longer for the ov to kick in. Maybe you're just coming up to yours now!!

Meita · 19/10/2009 18:20

Whoohoo boodle! Good luck for the talk. You really seem to be doing much better already.
Here's you on the list (we can always take you off again of DH insists you should wait some more).

I just realised I'm getting some "nice" CM - so all may not be lost for this cycle yet !

tigerbear · 19/10/2009 16:45

Hello all,
Sorry I haven't been around for a while.
Congrats to MrsR!!!!
Well, I THINK I've had my first period post mc. Had a few days of relatively light bleeding then (TMI alert) woke up one morning covered in blood, bed sheets covered. Never been that heavy before. Yuck.
However, it looks like DH and I can get back to BDing!!

Cheepz · 19/10/2009 16:18

Thanks for the welcome. My UCL has changed to 31 after the mc (used to be 28/29) and I'm on CD 16. My BIL decided that yesterday was a good time to decide he was coming to stay with us for 2 days with no notice so BD a bit inhibited.

Cheepz · 19/10/2009 11:48

barrenbrook thanks - I feel much better now its on its way - does feel like I am doing something proactive about it. I was using my persona which i have had for ages as contraception - but since thats designed for contraception it gives you a really wide window of when you could possible get pregnant as oppose to a really small window of when you are most likely to get pregnant

anyway despite parting with the cash - for the sticks and the monitor I do feel like I am taking steps to improve my chances!

meita tough for you to not know whats going on, your cycle may be messed up a little but worth talking to the GP to see if there are some tests they can run?

love to all

Meita · 19/10/2009 11:05

Hey there,

cheepz I hope next cycle will be the one for you.

I am still waiting to ovulate. apples when you had lost ovulation, where did you find it again? Am starting to feel a bit destitute - seriously, how am I supposed to get pg without even ovulating? Is it normal to have several anovulatory cycles right after an (early) MC? I thought we were supposed to be more fertile, not less!

As Zayja said - I am thinking about seeing someone and having things checked out if indeed I don't ovulate again. I mean, maybe it's as simple as a cyst or something that stops me from ovulating, and it can be treated, so what would be the point in waiting?

I hope you all have a good start into the week!

barrenbrook · 19/10/2009 10:50

oops! I dunno where the 'for it' bit came from!

barrenbrook · 19/10/2009 10:48

Cheepz you beat me to it, was just about to say you can start up to day 5. I use one, am on Cycle 3 with it, so far so good, although not had the desired outcome... Yet! It does make you feel, or it did me, like you're doing something constructive! I also use the CBFM support group forum too, which might be some help or support.

Chamois I have everything crossed for you. It's not over yet and it is ok to bleed and
for it not to be bad. Sending lots of sticky lucky vibes your way.

Welcome Tigger, i echo the others, sorry you're here but glad you have found us all. The ladies on here are marvellous support and full of good advice.

Just a flying visit again, work and house move are taking over at the moment. Hope everyone is ok x
for it

Cheepz · 19/10/2009 10:31

too late i just ordered one - apparently you can start up until day5 of your cycle so why not - bloody expensive though - just another way for people to make money out of desparate women!!!!
