Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

hey boodle that's a very Tigger message.
Good for you. Sending you much much MUCH luck.

Still no sign of witch here but am NOT NOT NOT going to do any more tests... until the weekend at least.

boodleboot · 26/10/2009 12:52

hello all...

have finished giving up now....

great news...i'm ovulating. i felt it and thank god for TOni Weshchlers book because i have been able to identify lots of different markers this month. the sharp stabbing pain that i felt yesterday on my right side was the egg breaking through the follicle....how amazing is that CM changes exactly as she has described (and given pictures of!!) in the book. i am very much in awe of my body at the moment....what an amazing capapcity to bounceback eh!

after the crappy luck we have had this week with other peoples pregancy news etc I asked DH to relent and at least not make me prevent preg....i think we are onto a winner here!! Going to DTD to night and hopefully fertilise this egg! CD12 today which fits with my OV time from the last preg.

welcome to the new girls....hope this is a lucky month for all of us....

zayja · 26/10/2009 09:56

Hi chamois, so glad to hear from you. Sorry it sounds like tough going at home, hope things are better all around for you soon. Hoping that little bean is just fine too - hang in there - both of you!!!

chamoiscreased · 25/10/2009 18:00

Hi all, still here, still reading, not much to report. Lots going on at home, most of it not good but not to do with bean. Was offered an early scan due to bleeding but as mad as it sounds have said no for now, I don't want them to say 'oh we're not sure, come back in 2 weeks' as that wait is just awful. Am 8 weeks this week if all is OK so might take them up on the offer soon. Still feeling very scared about the whole thing
Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you who are yet to graduate - I'm sorry I'm not the cheery inspiration I wish I was! x

zayja · 25/10/2009 14:10

Oh boodle, that's just crap luck! I'm really sorry hun, that's a tough situation to have to deal with after your ectopic Well, we'll be thinking about you. I would say seek out some relaxation or calming exercise to help you cope. It's really easy to get wound up and stressed out with your current situation and that's no good for ttc! I've been looking into acupuncture, but have yet to schedule and appt...

Welcome bubba, growing& jollster! Glad you found us and hope you stick around to be added to our list of grads at sometime in the hopefully not-to-distant future.

Speaking of grads - where are you Mrs R? Also chamois - hope all is well.

That's more crap about not ov, meita, especially with what you mentioned previously - that there's this idea that you're supposed to be more fertile after a mc - WTF! Fingers crossed for you next month! Fingers crossed this month for you also apples and tfls.
Cheepz - lol at your air hostess outfit comment - have you decided yet? Then you could also use it as a Halloween costume.

Well, dh and I were on the every other day schedule this month and I'm sure hoping our hard work pays off. I don't want to get excited, so I keep telling myself "probably not this month", but then I think what about the power of positive thought? Can you think yourself pregnant?

applesaretheonlyfruit · 25/10/2009 11:36

BFN. No AF yet. Boodle, sorry you are having such a hard time.

PumpkinJollster · 25/10/2009 10:07

Hi Meita, no I have had a period in between; scan was August 24, ERPC August 26, LMP September 26 (though it was a shorter/lighter one than usual).

Life's a bit WTF in all aspects at the mo!!!!

What is SO interesting though is how all our bodies and cycles are so different, and though there may be some trends and similarities there is a hell of a lot of blimeyO'reilly differences!

Meita · 25/10/2009 09:20

ah boodle you really aren't spared anything! Sending a big virtual hug and lots of cyberchocolate your way.

jollster is this your first cycle after the MMC? I mean as in, have you not had a period since? We call this the WTF-cycle on here because it is so completely unpredictable. apples for instance had to wait 65 days for AF to arrive. TFLS on the other hand was surprised by her early visit (if I remember correctly). I was doing pg tests - and then it turned out I hadn't even ovulated yet. There is really no way to tell!
Still. A late period is a late period, and who knows what it means? My fingers are crossed for you.

chamois I take it that no news is not good news in this instance. Very sad for you (and still hoping that perhaps everything is alright and there is a very mundane reason for you not posting)

Yesterday I thought: How predictable. DP leaves on short notice, and I get a temp surge on CD26.
But then it dropped again, first a little, then a lot - so, clearly, have not ovulated.
DP is coming home today. I don't assume I'll still ovulate this cycle, but who knows? And if I do, we'll be ready for it :-)
If I don't, I hope AF arrives soon so that we can start a new cycle. I mean, I was only pregnant for five weeks. How can this still be messing up my cycle, four months or so later?

PumpkinJollster · 25/10/2009 07:46

Dear Boodleboot, that sounds absolutely pants. Not surprised you feel so sad and angry. (Just scrolled back and saw some earlier posts, can see you have had a real time of it). Hope things look a bit brighter soon.

I caved and POAS this morning, as NEVER late with a period. But a BFN. BUT no sign of period. Almost want it to come so I can start focusing on next cycle.

Hope some more positive stuff elsewehere .

boodle that's sucks big time, I would have a good cry about it then set about making voodoo dolls and dig out some kebab skewers... Chin up honey

apples have the bellows out to blow baby dust your way in a great big cloud of luck.

boodleboot · 23/10/2009 17:12

can hardly post for tears....my fcking useless exH has just rang to tell me that him and girlfriend are having baby. She is nearly 13 weeks....same as what i would of been if not for EP ITS NOT FAIR. ITS NOT FCKING FAIR....

So irresponsible of them, he hasn't paid maintenance for the last 5 months and has no job at the moment, to the point where we have had to drop the kids to him as he has no insurance on the car....and his thoughts on it all are 'well at least the kids are going to have a new bro or sis after all....'. Tosser. ITS NOT FAIR.

i give up.

randomimposter · 23/10/2009 08:00

good luck apples!

No signs of anything happening here, but no plans to test until at least after the weekend. Fairly sure it's a pointless exercise, as don't think I ovulated this month..... but where oh where is that witch...?

applesaretheonlyfruit · 23/10/2009 07:55

Hi everyone,

I think today is preg test day for me. Gosh.,,, I wonder if I could possibly have any test sticks in the house..

Meita · 22/10/2009 12:07

boodle ah, I had sort of thought as much. I hope you manage to find a solution that works for both of you. Yes, will definitely consider preseed once I start ovulating again.

becky so good to hear from you. 11 weeks already, it seems nearly impossible! Wishing you all the best for that scan next week. Do let us know how it goes, please?

tfls chin up. We'll get there.

Jollster welcome. People have been graduating from here so fast, it is a good place to be well, would be preferable obviously not to be here. Sounds like you have been having a rough time. So very sorry for your loss.

cheepz good luck with the CBFM!

bubbalewy I can imagine the thrill of knowing you're ovulating after such a long time! Did you go hunt DH/DP immediately? That's what I'd do! Hey, you never know, it could indeed be the month for you. "Just" because you lost one, does not mean that you are going to lose another. Although it can be hard to feel excited - MC does make us lose our "innocence" in these things. (As has been said by many on here before)

me well DP had to leave for Berlin until Sunday on very short notice (got a call yesterday afternoon, left this morning). He did call me up to ask if it was ok for him to leave. What should I have said? It's a great opportunity for him. Well. I'm telling myself, if I start ovulating now, a) I'll know I'm ovulating again, and b) who knows, I might just jump on a plane and follow him over . And if I don't (ovulate), which I think is more likely, it's no harm done. So now I'm sitting here a bit indecisively, not knowing if I should hope I ovulate or hope I don't. Arrgh, life is complicated...

bubbalewy · 21/10/2009 22:31

meita I knew i had OV from my CBFM and surge, they were spot on in timing together. Thanks for that info on the cm, i rarely notice aything like that so im crap on any of that info..
It was soo good to see that 3bars and egg thing again after so long
Maybe i am with a chance this month ?? But then theres the holding on to the little darling that seems to be a bit more difficult

Cheepz · 21/10/2009 21:12

tigerbear saw you said you woke in a bloodbath and AF had arrived so have put you at bottom of list but not sure what CD you are on

jollster welcome and so sorry, MMC at that stage must have been devastating [heartgoingout] have popped you on the list - you never know at CD26 - stranger things have happened and a number of folks have come on in their WTF cycle post MC and gotten a BFP right away glad you stopped lurking though

and welcome bubba and growing too

I set my CBFM this morning so that was exciting! am expecting to do first sample on CD6 so will have to see how it goes

becky78 11 weeks already - wow - does not seem like that long, everything crossed for your scan

tfls [bigmassivevirtualhug] know so much how you feel, before mc its kind of fun ttc for a few months, but I think once you have had mc you want so much to be pg again it changes everything, the anxiety, the pressure, wondering if its a health issue or a fertility issue - its really tough xxxxx

loving your work boodle, love the idea of not really trying, like thats ever going to happen has he said what he is worried about, perhaps he is worried about something happening to you after the last time, he might just be scared for you physically and emotionally.... i say nip down to Ann Summers and get something saucy - I am contemplating the Brittany Spears style Air Hostess outfit

heres the list

hello
have lurked a bit, but thought I should say hi (was moved by TFLS's recounting her Marley and Me experience - I also watched it recently and cried at most of it !)

I had a MMC at a scan at 12+6 at end of August, baby had died at 11+6. I am lucky enough to have a DS of nearly 17 months, and fell pregnant in cycle one of TTC#2 once he turned 1.
But at 41 time is not on my side...

TTC#2 cycle 1 after MMC UCL 26-28 CD 26

(but am not convinced I have ovulated this month - no usual signs ....)

thefatladyscreams · 21/10/2009 19:54

Hi all

Sorry for the absence but been office based this week and struggled to get on Mumsnet (most unfair of work!)

Watched Marley & Me last night. Dry eyed throughout the missed miscarriage bit (sorry if that's a spoiler) and only blubbed when the dog died. I took that as a sign that I was feeling better

But metia, I completely share your frustration at how much harder TTC seems to be post miscarriage. Our bodies obviously don't know that we are meant to have a fertile uplift I think I've had 3 anovulatory cycles out of 4. The focus on next month feeling is getting a bit worn out....

I'm hoping the preseed has the same effect as becky78. It's lurking in my drawer waiting for next month. Lovely to hear back from you becky78 - can't believe you're 11 weeks already.

Cheeps - I'm another Clearblue monitor user here. You might get loads of highs in your first cycle with no peak. Just to warn you as it did my head in.

Boodle - what's your meditation [nosy emoticon needed]? I like your negotiation approach with DH!

Chamois - hope you're OK? Please pop in and let us know.

becky78 · 21/10/2009 17:16

Hi ladies,

I haven't posted on here more or less since my BFP as it felt like tempting fate a bit, especially with some of the bad news on the grads thread but I have been lurking and following all your news so thought I would check back in again and say Hi.

Is great that you have had some more BFP's and as someone pointed out the grad list is now longer than the TTC list so hang in there, it will happen for all of you one way or another.

I am 11 weeks today and have first midwife appointment next week so that is a real milestone and then scan the following week as I don't want to believe it is real until I see a heartbeat on the screen.

I can support boodles recommendation of preseed - after she recommended it last time I ordered it but didn't get round to using it that month and got pregnant anyway - it is powerful stuff and can work without being taken out of the packet!!

growingbump - my m/c was my first pregnancy so I waited a full cycle before trying again, partly as meita said so that I had an idea of where I was in terms of cycles, but for me I think I needed that bit of time to come to terms with the baby I lost and get my head straight before trying again. Everyone is different though so you have to do what feels right for you.

Hope you are all well and don't mind me dropping back in after so many weeks

boodleboot · 21/10/2009 17:03

meita - that was what i actually suggested {altho of course in reality i would be checking at the very least CM but i said no charting or temps.....}he still said no..... i don't really want to bully him toooo much....poor man.

i found that preseed made everything so much less stressful actually....i didn't have to worry about the quality of my CM or the quantity and stopped me drying up due to the pressure i was putting on myself to conceive each time...quick squirt of clear odourless liquid via an applicator pretty much like a long thin syringe....didn't fall out or anything or feel synthetic....warmed straight up infact.....but enough now, people will start thinking i am a preseed rep ha ha

Meita · 21/10/2009 12:41

boodle hah that sounds like the right spirit!

How about a compromise: You don't use condoms, but you both agree to NOT count days, chart temps, observe CM, use OPKs or anything. Sort of as a middle way - letting it happen, not stopping it from happening - but not actively working towards it either. Don't know if that's possible though - checking CM has become second nature to me by now

I've been thinking about preseed. My CM is often less than ideal. But the thought totally turns me off... and I DID manage to get pg before without this sort of help. I guess I'll wait to see if ovulation sorts itself out before I tread that path.

Glad to "read" you sounding so upbeat!

Meita · 21/10/2009 12:35

Hi growingbump2, I am sorry to hear about your MC. Glad that you found your way here though - this is a really supportive bunch of people here!
I'd say most of us started TTC immediately after our MCs, without waiting for the first period. And some of us indeed became pregnant immediately! For me this was an important way of looking forward, rather than dwelling on the MC. Though it also meant that I became totally confused by my body and the fertility symptoms and in the end, we missed my fertile "window" (and unfortunately I haven't ovulated since). It also meant I had invested high hopes in that cycle, I felt the world would end if I didn't become pg immediately again; so there was all that to deal with when AF arrived.
Most of the time, there is no medical reason for waiting. Doctors just say to wait because otherwise it will be harder for them to date your new pregnancy. At the end of the day it is up to you to decide what it means for you emotionally. Will it help you look forward? Are you ready for giving your thoughts and hopes to a new bean? Can you deal with the WTF-ness that often occurs in the number 0 cycle after MC? Not knowing if your period is overdue or if you just ovulated late or not at all, can be distressing!
In any case, good luck! And stick around if you need some support going through this tough time.
