Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

CBFM peak today - no higs no warning just wam - peak. Ties in with Persona last month which showed little egg symbol on CD15.So it looks like CD 15 is my day.

DH was on top form last night, which, since it still said Low on CBFM was alot more fun for me as I was thiking - 'want to have hot sex with dh' rather than 'hope this one makes a baby'

Now have to address trying to get dh all fired up again tonight without being too much 'look todays the egg day' about it. But given last nights marathon he will sus me right away.

(for newbies to this thread thinking what planet is she on I try not to make it too clear to dh when its a 'honey honey I'm ovulating day' as oppose to a - 'I'm horny so lets get down and dirty day')

2 days in a row will mean the game is up!

Still am pretty chuffed that what I was feeling yesterday - ie that I was sure ovulation would be soon, was right - have at least been reading my body right.

Anyway, off to SIL soon, feeling better about it today - waiting is worse.

Hi All hope everyones well. Not much to report here busy week at work, busy weekend. Not managed any BD since day 16 due to a nasty bout of candida!!!! Urgh!!!! sore [tmi]!!!!

Ran out of ovulation sticks last week think i ll stop using them as puts too much pressure on performing on certain days .New plan to bd every 2-3 days through my cycle, once everythings settled down of course!!!!

Will be glad when 5th November been and gone i ve got 2 cats and they hate all the noise.

Me and DH starting to talk about adoption now as our local social services are appealing for "potential" adoptees!!!! for children aged between 1-6 .This is a step forward as hes always said a definate NO to adoption in the past but i think hes thinking along my lines here we are 2 years down the line and no further forward!!!!

Have a good weekend

RomanCandleJollster · 31/10/2009 20:02

oh cheepz I know exactly how you feel...

a close friend of mine is now pg (but I am really pleased for her as it was her last chance - last of the frozen egg supply) and another friend has just announced it on FB though only 8 weeks.... eeek!

Then last week a mum at a group we go to was suddenly obviously pregnant and when asked when due, she said first week of March. "Your scan must be this week I blurted out" without thinking. "Yes you're right" she said with a look that said how DO you know that...well of course I knew that .

It seems very tough... we will get there

Cheepz · 31/10/2009 18:36

cake hope you are having a fine weekend.

cheepz Hmm that must be confusing! I think I remember that it's your first cycle with the CBFM? Just because TFLS too had difficulties the first time round and apparently that's quite normal. So I'd trust your instincts and your CM!
At the end of the day, if you find out that you ovulate later than you thought, well that's what using such a monitor (or temp charting) is all about. I mean, if you'd find out that you have been BDing at the right time all along, you could have saved yourself the money, no? But if your monitor/chart tells you something new, like, "oh actually I tend to ovulate two days earlier/later than I always thought" it will actually help you improve your chances to conceive and then it would have been worth every penny!

Anyway, BD for the fun of it can't be too bad either!

Cheepz · 31/10/2009 08:27

hmmmm CD14 and the monitor hasn't even gone to high yet but my CM is very EW and I had cramps all day yesterday so normally I would have suspected OV, last month my Persona said I was OV CD15 and 16 so maybe I am going to go from nowhere to peak, or maybe will be later this month? Bit confused as would have expected to see some high action

Maybe the cramps and ewcm have been meaning I have been thinking its been happening earlier than I thought ... will have to wait and see

I am thinking I should also trust my instinct and take a punt on tonight anyway if nothing else it might even be fun!!

CakeandFineWine · 30/10/2009 11:10

morning ladies!
Just popping in before my wkend away with DH! our 1st anniversary! Leaving DD for the 1st time (shocking really as shes 3 1/2!)
Thanks for all welcoming me too
I'm going to purchase some digital ovulation kits me thinks as I'm not convinced by my post MC cycle!

Good luck for everyone this month!

Meita · 30/10/2009 09:40

Big hug to (((zayja)))

My temps have dropped to the indeterminate zone. Meaning, if they rise again, this drop was just a quirk (not an exact science it is). But if they stay where they are or drop further, it's pretty clear I didn't ovulate - I'd be expecting AF day after tomorrow or so. If I did ovulate, AF would be expected Tuesday week (CD43).

We've been talking lots about adoption recently. DP and I brought it up the same day, we had both been thinking about it. We both actually like the idea but I find the adoption process very daunting. We are now considering setting a date, such as next February (when we will have been TTC for a year) and then if I'm not pg by then we'll start talking to agencies.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day and wishing a relaxed weekend for all of us (and especially cheepz !)

RomanCandleJollster · 30/10/2009 08:52

oh zayja that's really tough. Hope you're getting lots of RL love and support. You never know, the tears could also be a sign that you are pg... have everything crossed.

Peter Andre is quite a close neighbour of mine (ok ten mins walk away!)... what a sweetheart . Ok, not the brightest of sparks, but seems genuine and kind. (And not too up himself...).

DS has chicken pox, so we are a poorly house, as AF is here and making me feel achey and pooey .

Hope everyone bearing up... Happy Halloween for the weekend . Last chance to use special icons .!

zayja · 29/10/2009 23:37

Hi Ladies,
Who is Peter Andre? I'm gonna google 'im right now... Oh, Australian singer Peter Andre? Haven't heard of him - nice bod - how's the voice?

Well, welcome cake! Sorry to hear about your mc. Glad you've joined us here! I had a mmc in late april at 13 weeks, so can relate - as all of us can here

Well yesterday was my due date for little bean that didn't make it. It's been very hard as I've also had a HELL week at work. Lots of uncontrollable tears. Hoping that could be a sign I'm pregnant now, but don't think I am or won't let myself think it for fear of being let down.

Sorry AF is making full rounds this month. Here's hoping we eek a BFP or 2 out (at least)

Cheepz · 29/10/2009 22:21

peter andre is hot hot hot - just so long as he keeps his mouth shut

RomanCandleJollster · 29/10/2009 22:18

you know, I'm in awe but also very daunted at the focus and temping and checking and recording and agonising that goes on..... when all I'm doing at the moment is chomping any chocolate I can find... . Mind you that's what periods and sad times are all about huh...? (Oh and watching Peter Andre...
Just cos it's on, not in any pervy way!)

cheepz know exactly what you mean about other babies' arrivals .... hope you're doing ok...

Cheepz · 29/10/2009 19:35

week from hell at work

hello ladies

CBFM means that since I have not yet had a high let alone peak I have not had to have sex yet this cycle

CM today just starting to turn so its off to La Senza tomorrow to spice things up for the weekend 14th and 15th CD on the weekend is a plus

Downer is my SIL had 2nd DS today and I am jealous - her first is 6 months younger than mine, so she has had a whole nother pregnncy before I have managed to get and stay pregnant not very charitable of me is it...

boodle you are an inspiration xx

[wherforeartthou] apples

hello new folk - welcom and sorry to see you but glad to have you

right bathtime for DS so best crack on.. ciao

thefatladyscreams · 29/10/2009 11:46

4th AF here. Blimey she is busy! I'm quite relieved (sounds funny to be writing that) but she appeared late and I had 3 days of spotting so I was worried that IF I was pregnant, something was already wrong. Didn't stop me wasting a test yesterday to get a BFN but at least I found that reassuring in a funny kind of way [TFLS hopes everyone doesn't think she has lost the plot...]

Seems quite a few of us are experiencing cycles all over the place. I used to be a regular 28 day girl but dropped to 24 days post m/c and suddenly a 30 day cycle. I'm taking it as a good sign that my cycle is trying to correct itself (well that's my positive spin on what the hell is going on!)

meita - that is such a helpful quote. Thank you for posting that. I'm sure there is a lot of truth in it. I do feel it's time your body gave you some more obvious clues - talk about wait and see!

Welcome CakeandFineWine - lovely to have you on board. So sorry to hear about your loss, 14 weeks must have been so tough. It is funny how you can finally be pleased to see AF and have some semblance of returning to normal! Love your name by the way.

boodle - that sounds like a really fair compromise. I guess your gut instinct will tell you when the time is right for you both. Roll on next month!

RomanCandleJollster and tigger - here's hoping AF flies by and onwards and upwards for next month. Hey it will be my first attempt with preseed so should be interesting

OP posts:
Meita · 29/10/2009 10:23

Hello ladies,
welcome cake. I'm sorry about your MC. At 14 weeks, that must have been traumatising. Still, I'm glad you found us - nice bunch of peeps here.

Oh jollster I'd been thinking you would be one of those lucky women who join us here just to graduate immediately. Sorry about AF arriving. Although we're all used to it and expecting it, it can still be quite a setback. Your UCL might still normalise itself, after all it's still pretty soon since the MMC.

tigger yeah, those MCs can so mess up our cycles! I hope the OPKs work for you.

AF must have employed assistants - she's three places at the same time!

So to make up for AF's busy life, I'm strongly expecting a wave of BFPs on here! Apples, TFLS, BB ... I'm counting on you!

boodle I think you're right. At the end of the day we're in it together, our DH/DP and us, and it needs to be right for both. I've also been thinking, you know, on pregnancyloss.info for example a FAQ is: "why is my DH not as upset as I am?" and a suggested answer is "Because only one of you can fall apart at a time". So I think in many cases our DH/DP are strong for us when we MC, because we need them to be. But that doesn't mean it doesn't affect them strongly. So maybe we need to accept that sometimes, once we have recovered and are ready to TTC again, they are not yet. While we have been working through our issues, they have been "strong" for us - now we need to give them some time to catch up. Well I'm sure this is not true for everyone but it might be true for some!
boodle, indeed our bounce-back girl. I'm so glad you're feeling so much better.

cheepz getting down to business?

chamo you're ever in my thoughts. Everything crossed for you (legs too, now).

me well temps have stayed reasonably high but I'm not convinced I've indeed ovulated. I mean, for one thing it would have been really, really late - to ovulate on CD28? That's not exactly to be expected. Well if I did, and if I actually conceived, calculations based on LMP (?) would be waaaay off. Second, while they are much higher than earlier this cycle, they are still not quite as high as usually in the luteal phase. Whilst FF is saying I ovulated, MyNFP is still hesitating. Third, last cycle which was anovulatory, there was a similar sharp rise - temps turning much higher than previously but not as high as usually in LP. But AF arrived 6 days later so that can't have been ovulation.
So, overall, I'm thinking it's possible I ovulated - in which case we have a reasonable chance and I'll start getting nervous in 10 days. Or it is also possible that AF will arrive any day now. Well, we'll just have to wait and see!

AF came this morning on day 26 so my cycle is officially up the spout. I've got some ovulation kits for next time so here we go again.

RomanCandleJollster · 29/10/2009 06:43

hello!
evil witch arrived last night
so
Jollster TTC#2 Cycle 2 (after MMC Aug) UCL 26-33?! CD2

my cycle was always SO regular at 28, started going a bit shorter at 26, and I guess a MC messes you up more than you think as this month was 33...

had hoped to cash in on the "you're very fertile after MC" urban myth.... think it's just spread to make you feel better .

though... note to self.... need to have more sex to make baby... doh!

hello CakeandFineWine... am very new here myself, so a bit cheeky welcoming you! But good luck, and prove me wrong about the urban myth

DS is stirring, better dash. Tarra.

CakeandFineWine · 28/10/2009 20:35

hey ladies, Can I join your thread please?!
I had a MC on Aug BH at 14 weeks!
BUT AF finally arrived today so here we go again! [anticipationsmiley]

So I'm TTC#2 UCL31 cycle 1 CD1

My attendance will probably be somewhat sporadic so apologies due to the DH shift work I don't tend to use computer when he's here!
But I'm generally lurking about somewhere and will catch up!!

boodleboot · 27/10/2009 18:24

thanks for your support girls. its funny you know because my nickname from just about all my friends is Tigger....every the optimist ha. i so so so so so hope we get some BFP's this month. you are the only people that i can face getting pregnant and feel no jealousy....

We won't for sure from me tho as i have decided to give it one more month just to be on safe side - i couldn't bear poor DH's face when i suggested early night and realised just how stressful this is for him too.....4 more weeks won't hurt...

chamois we are so due a sticky bean or two and i really believe yours is....be positive and send your baby lots of loving thoughts and cuddles......

thefatladyscreams · 27/10/2009 11:01

thefatladyscreams · 27/10/2009 10:59

Hi all,

Oh boodle you are our bounce back girl! . So pleased to hear you're trying (or not, not trying IYKWIM). Hope you've worked through your ex's news OK - that must have been so painful. Your ex gets the tosser prize for lousy timing! Great sign that your body has recovered so quickly - must be a sign that you're healing well.

meita please please tell me that DP is back from Berlin! [TFLS has mental picture of meita booking urgent flight whatever the cost and DP trying to explain that on expenses!]

apples - what news from you?

Welcome jollster - sorry to hear about your MMC but lovely to have you on board. I'm coming up to 41 at the end of this year so know that feeling only too well.

cheepz did you invest in the Britney Spears air hostess outfit? I suspect it is more effective and far cheaper than a CBFM!

chamois - hope things are a bit calmer for you at home now. Completely understand why you haven't gone for a test yet. Hope you and your little bean are doing well and loads of love.

Think AF is arriving here but not sure . Why is nothing ever straight forward in this game? [fed up that the rules aren't clear face] Very minor spotting but temp still up - I do have a bit of a virus so that could be masking a temp drop. I'm on day 29 but since m/c had 24 day cycles so the WTF continues.... oh joy.

OP posts:
Meita · 27/10/2009 09:55

Ladies,

I just recorded the highest basal temperature since the 21st August (towards the end of my WTF-cycle).

Yesterday the OPK gave me the strongest second line I've seen yet.

Ladies, I could be ovulating!!!

boodle that sounds about right to me :-)

chamois fingers and toes and everything (except legs ) crossed for you and your bean.

zayja · 27/10/2009 01:02

Yay boodle! Splendid news!!!
