Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

oy boodle, was hoping for clearer news! Well, as long as no AF, and still lots of positive signs, all bets are open. My fingers are defo crossed for you!

Nothing to report here, except that I'm having to exercise myself in patience. I think I will declare my TTC-time as training-time for becoming a Zen-master or something

Meita · 05/12/2009 11:07

Welcome bayeauxt, indeed you have been lurking for a long time now! My MC was in July and I'm only just getting a "normal" cycle right now. I guess sometimes it just takes some time for our bodies to sort themselves out. So here's hoping that this one will be it for you.

louise any news? I'm hoping all has turned out not to be as bad as you thought. I'm thinking of you.

cake thanks for doing the list, indeed it's right for me, was on CD30 yesterday, that is, 9 or 11 days past ovulation, depending on who I ask. Am still feeling positive about it all. Not because I really think I'll get a BFP, but rather, because my cycle has finally sorted itself out. Yay!

lee how good to hear from you And how exciting. I'm sure if you do get a BFP, although somewhat unintentionally, you will be ready for it then - and will be able to deal with it all. Your story reminds me of times bygone... When you really, really don't want to get pg but you think "just this once" (or rather, you don't think at all) and then you're worried sick for two weeks until AF arrives... if only people had told us earlier that it is not always so easy to get pg!

tfls how are things going? I sort of remember you wanted to know about "my" cycle-tea... still interested? Haven't been taking it yet, will start next cycle if this one doesn't work out.

zayja I happen to know a little something about fertility treatment. First, I'd be a bit suspicious of a doctor who doesn't first ask for the man's sperm to be tested - it is the easiest and cheapest of tests, and yet, sometimes it only gets done after the woman has suffered through complicated, invasive, and expensive diagnostics. Although in some cases, there are good reasons for doing it this way. Also, for the sperm, they will want to re-do the test three months later - so if you are thinking of starting treatment soon, you should better get the first sperm test done quickly.
Second, the test where they check your tubes for permeability is actually linked to higher fertility. It appears that in some cases, the tubes are slightly blocked. The test actually clears them out, so in the cycle immediately following the test, your chances to conceive (naturally!) are actually higher than before.
So, on the one hand, I'd say: Get that dye into your tubes ASAP and you'll be pg before x-mas . On the other hand, I'd say: Send your DH for a sperm test instead, have a relaxed holiday time, start doing your own tests in January - you won't be starting treatment proper until March or so anyway. This also means that you will be giving your future bean an extra chance or two to be conceived naturally anyway. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask other questions. Though I'm not a doctor, but I've been talking to women doing IVF for two years now.

zayja · 05/12/2009 02:16

Hi Ladies,
Welcome bayeauxt, glad you decided to join in after lurking, you probably already know what a great group of gals we are . Sorry you had a MC - and all those WTF cycles - that's a kick in the pants after a mc. Well, lots of support here.
Oh louise, I'm hoping that it's just a little spotting and not the mc you're thinking. You hear of bleeds in pregnancy all the time, I'm wishing the best for you now.
sevans, sorry to hear of your mc too. When I had mmc, I took meds to make me misscarry. Bleeding lasted 6 days or so, but heavy for the first 3. I got my period again 5 1/2 w later. My doc said normal is 4-6 weeks, but we all know WTF knows no bounds.
Hi lee, nice to hear from you again, sure we shouldn't bump you to the TTC list???
Fingers crossed for boodle and meita this cycle too.
Well, question for you ladies, and I'll try to make it short. I went to the fertility clinic yesterday. Dr. said that there are a few things they look at to see what the root of infertility is. For me: blood work to test progesterone and thyroid levels, and x-ray of my parts to check for blocked tubes and the like, and an ultrasound for the same. They like to do the xray and ultrasound somewhere CD 5-10. He said we could schedule ASAP on cd 12 for me or wait 'til the next cycle to test. I'm torn. On one hand I want to wait to give it one more "natural" try. I had kind of committed to waiting until the new year to start pursuing those things. On the other hand, I scheduled the appt. for Tues. b/c I was anxious and already found a sub for work, so I could just keep the appt. The thing bothering me is that they need to shoot dye into my uterus for the xray and then I need to take antibiotics, so basically ttc naturally would be out of the question this month. I also just started dieting again this month - really eating healthy and exercising and that's when I fell pg last time, so I guess I just want advice. Do I keep the appt. or cancel on go at the end of the month when I have time off work for the holidays. Falling pg naturally COULD be a great Christmas present...

BayeauxT · 04/12/2009 22:16

Hello all, I have been a lurker on this thread for some time - had a MMC/D&C in August and have had several WTF AFs since - and another just started today so I thought I might as well introduce myself!

Apples, I was delighted to see you get a BPF - we were both on CD60+ before we got our first Af after ERPC and it was really reassuring to hear from you - so wishing you lots of luck with that; can totally understand you not wanting to get too excited about it all scan (I don't think I will announce I am pg until I have actually borned a sprog!)

I do read everyone else's posts - Louisesh, best of luck and hope it's not the worst, Mrs Rigby, Sevans - sorry to hear your news, Boodle - here's holding thumbs, and too many others to mention!

Should I post my "stats" to be added to the list?
TTC#2 UCL28 cycle 3 CD1 (I guess - last time AF arrived a week early and lasted 2 weeks so f* knows where I am!)

MrsRigby · 04/12/2009 21:37

Evening

louisesh I don't really know what to say. I agree with boodleboot though, get yourself to the nearest EPU.

sevans how are you?

leewt yes, every 2 nights for a month and then we're moving on to every other night for a month and if that doesn't work, every night. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

No sex for me tonight, still not feeling well. Though it has to be said much better than yesterday - I vomited all over the hallway and DH had to clean up after me . I hate being sick, but I have to admit I did feel much better for it. Just a pity it was after a lovely Indian takeaway. I'm sure I spotted half an onion barji in amongst the sag aloo. And the bloody rice - jesus christ that was still shooting out my nose today. It was that red and green pilau rice so at least it made the tissue colourful, christmassy even .

And I'm sick of sodding toast and Lemsip, think I'll try something proper tomorrow.

I'm off to bed, DH want's to get an early night as he's seeing to DS during the night as I'm not well and he wants to go to town tomorrow. That's good, I feel a trip to Radley and Starbucks is in order.

Ooh must tell you all tomorrow about the handyman I had the other day (and that's exactly the way DH chose to word it).

Night, night.

I expect to woken up tomorrow by my laptop beeping and flashing to tell me the boodleboot et al have a BFP.

P.S. DH is watching a lot of In The Night Garden - yes, DH not DS. His favourite character is Makka Pakka and he can't stop humming the sodding theme tune, he wants to get it as his mobile ringtone .

CakeandFineWine · 04/12/2009 21:32

Hello all I'm back,

Sorry for the lack of update my DD as been really poorly!

TFLS: You really aren't sad I literally sat with a calender and worked out that if this month isn't a WTF month I could test on boxing day so decided christmas day might give me a BFP?! Fingers crossed all round

I've caught up with all the thread I think!

So my and DH FINALLY spoke about the MC last night for the first time (it was 3rd Sept FFS!) But went really well and I think he at least knows why I've been acting/feeling how I have, comfort eating at the word!!??

oh louise, have a hug.

hohohojollster · 04/12/2009 09:58

hi all
have been lurking but without much to say.
so sorry louise that you're having this worry - I hope it is NOT what you fear.

am on 2ww now but not very hopeful... not much action and what there was was possibly too late..

Never mind, what's another cycle lost when you're nearly 42...

Happy weekends to you all x

hoops997 · 04/12/2009 09:48

sorry to butt in but noticed leewt on here, just to see how you're getting on, I have been wondering how you're getting on and whether you're ok

Baby dust to you all xx

LeeWT · 03/12/2009 23:24

Hi all!

Sorry for my prolonged absences.. i am always checking in on you all but i have just moved house and everything is so hectic plus only got the broadband in a couple of days ago..

boodle and meita lots and lots of good luck i hope your sneaky suspicions turn out right :-)

sevans welcome and sorry to hear of your trouble. you are in the right place for lots of moaning and great advice :-)

louise sorry to hear you are bleeding i hope it is non-mc related. let us know how you get on

mrsR how goes it like rabbits?!?

apples i can understand you not wanting to get excited but i am crossing fingers for you.. how long til the scan?

As for me being on the WTTC list, I was hoping to take myself off in jan or feb once xmas is over and ive lost that half a stone that will make no bloody difference to my massive ass but will make me think i will fit into maternity clothes easier..

But .. and you'll laugh at this it's way tmi but I'm taking my leave from MrsR.. we got a bit frisky the last couple of days and after moving house I have NO idea where the condoms are absolutely no idea. in my own head i thought i wasnt that long since my period so that fcek it we'll just do it. twice. only today did i do some calculations and realise that yesterday (the day of the deed/s) was cd18. i have a 32 day cycle which means i've only bloody gone and bd'd on actual O-day!

The more scary thing is that although I've had 2mcs I have absolutely no problem getting pregnant. first try both times and DD was a complete accident we didnt plan so now i am worried. not only would i not be mentally prepared yet but we've so much going on.. that said i would be happy but only if it worked out.

ok having had that completely ridiculous rant the crux of it is that i am not TTC but will be on the 2ww with the rest of you!

hope you are all well and lots babydust to those actually wanting it right now ;-)

boodleboot · 03/12/2009 22:04

Oh lou....get yourself to an EPAC asap....all might not be lost...the bleeding might stop...i can't imagine how awful you must be feeling....my heart really goes out to you hun

louisesh · 03/12/2009 17:05

Well that has to be the shortest pregnancy EVER.....Started bleeding this pm at work feel periody soo think this is another fuck**g MC......

Why me? Why doesn t/can t my body do as every other womans does?????

Just told my manager anf a few friends at work also....Now got to tell my DH and mum about this

I m soo sick of all this....Why can t i do what lots of women accomplish when they re not even ttc or have 1 one night stands.

FUk FUk FU*k.....its shit

Had just got appt at re-current miscarriage clinic changed to 7th dec to see if our blood tests show anything...Now don t want them to have a note of this latest Fu*k up as it ll delay our adoption plans..

Ok i give up ttc we ll just stick to adoption.

sevans · 03/12/2009 15:51

The pain has seemed to pass and the bleeding has slowed down. Still never had heavy bleeding so not sure if this is over with or just taking a break. This is my third day staying home from work and I feel bad because we are super busy but it just doesn't feel right to be at work. I really plan to go tomorrow. I am still taking my temperature and it has not gone down yet. I was fully expecting it to go down so I'm kind of confused.

It's so nice to have to ladies to talk to. Thank you so much.

applesaretheonlyfruit · 03/12/2009 10:48

Hi everyone,

Just a quickie. Good luck boodle, tingling is good.

I am 5w4d. But not thinking about it. Haven't even checked the due date and everything like I normally would.. don't want to be disappointed.

Am over in the UK on 17 Dec and have a scan booked at 7w4d. So I am pretending I am not pregnant until then.

thefatladyscreams · 02/12/2009 23:14

Huge congrats louisesh - what an absolutely fantastic birthday present! As far as excuses for not drinking, you could always take the dramatic approach and announce that you've joined AA! Beats the old antibiotics one for gossip anyway On a more practical note, how about saying you are on a manic detox diet before Christmas? Anyway, you've got a BFP - yipeeee.

Boodle my dear, you are teasing us! Just promise me that you won't mysteriously disappear on Sunday and leave us all in suspense. We need to agree testing/posting times

meita maybe, just maybe this is your month.... No working too hard!

tigger I try and do most of the things on the list but it depends on what day/time of the cycle you ask me. I find it hard putting my life on hold hoping for this BFP that seems to have got lost in the post.

MrsR sending you loads of Vitamin C, a hot water bottle and a voucher for a night off the schedule!

sevans - how are you doing? It is a really horrible period you are going through but it will pass. I found it all happened within 24 hours but everyone's body is different. In terms of cycle afterwards, I've been told that basically all bets are off. The first AF can often be later than usual but in my case it came early. So I'm afraid it's a wait and see what mother nature produces. I found taking my temperature helpful as I could at least track when I was ovulating and when I was due to start my period.

Well slightly weird result for me as got a High on the CBFM on days 6 and 7. That's very early for me - but oh well, the monitor calls so off to bed

OP posts:
boodleboot · 02/12/2009 21:35

louise that is fanbloodytastic...

really really happy for you...heres praying for a peaceful pregnancy for you hun.

still no change from me....tingly and large boobs...AF due tues....still feeling optimistic after my sharp pain earlier and lots of crampy feelings today like AF feelings....

roll on sun when i should be able to get a reliable test done.....

MrsRigby · 02/12/2009 21:00

sevans I have PCOS too , also, more importantly, DH and I from the moment we got the BFP couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. I think you just know.

I'd have been 11 weeks when I miscarried, except that the baby died at 5-6 weeks. Missed miscarriage.

DH and I will never forget the sight of the fetus in the sac.

Anyway...

DS has a cold. Nose is completely blocked and so he's not really sleeping. Keeps waking up. We've propped the bed up with some books, but it's going to be a long night - not least because I've also got the cold. My nose is completely stuffed and my throat sore. And on top of all this, DH and I are planning on having sex tonight.

The things we do for a BFP.

MrsRigby · 02/12/2009 19:00

CONGRATULATIONS louisesh so, so, so happy for you.

tigger15 I can relate to you wanting to do something - I've tried most things, some just plain daft and also very embarrassing. All part of the TTC proccess I guess.

louisesh · 02/12/2009 15:36

Thanks all for your kind words .No probs any of u can come along for the ride, particularly boodle after her horrible year {annus}!!!!!

SEVANS my first mmc my af took about 6 weeks to return m y 2nd mc my af showed up after 33 days. However i am normally regular and don t have pcos.It s horrible time for you to go through.Hope you ve got lots of support, wine and chocolate..Take care

Fingers crossed for u 2 MEITA if you feel positive...Lets end this crappy year on a high!!!

Thanks TIGGER15 for your ideas!!!!

sevans · 02/12/2009 15:25

I think emotionally I am doing alright. I had a bleeding spell over the weekend and yesterday morning so I was fully expecting bad news when I went to my appointment yesterday. I guess I was 90% prepared and handled myself well at the doctor but of course was in tears when I left.

I am staying home from work again today. The abdominal pains are better but still no heavy bleeding. The doctor barely noticed the sac on the ultrasound so I am guessing the pregnancy stopped developing weeks ago. I would have been 7 weeks yesterday. This was my first pregnancy so I didn't know what to expect but it just never felt right to me. We didn't tell anyone besides my mother because I was so worried and fearful that there was going to be a problem.

I have to do blood work to check my Hcg levels tomorrow to make sure they are decreasing. I guess I may have to go in again and again until they get down to 0. How long normally after a MC until the first period arrives? I have irregular periods so the doctor said I may have to take a period inducing medication (Provera). I have PCOS and actually had to use Clomid to assist with my ovulation so I am sure I will have to use it again. I actually got pregnant off my first month of Clomid and now looking back realize I was just too lucky for it to happen all so fast! Enough about me.

boodleboot it sounds very promising! Good luck with getting a BFP!

louise congrats on your BFP! Great news!

Meita · 02/12/2009 15:11

Louise! Wow! bighappysmiley that is such good news!
Could you now just pull boodle along with you?

Welcome sevans, so sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks everyone for your encouragment regarding the stillbirth. I was quite thrown by it all and needed some time to find my feet again. Better now. Thanks especially to boodle for reminding me that my pain of having to find the right words is insignificant and totally bearable, compared to hers (not that you said exactly this, but your posting had this effect for me).

I'm always so busy, so have had trouble keeping up with everything - please excuse me!

Strangely, I too feel as if it might have caught on this month. Though it is not very likely. But at the very least, I am having the first "normal" luteal phase since the MC back in July... so it looks as if things were finally straightening out. With the exception of that thrush I caught...

tigger15 · 02/12/2009 11:48

Oh and Louise - driving is a good excuse or driving lessons in the morning for avoiding alcohol.

tigger15 · 02/12/2009 11:47

Congrats Louise. I hope it works out for you this time.

Sevans, sorry to have you join the group. Nurofen with codeine wears the edge off a little for the cramps. Take it easy and avoid work if you can.

Mrs R thanks for the response. I know it's probably crap but I just want to DO something. I'm so sick of driving myself crazy for 3 and 1/2 weeks of each month trying to have the perfect blood sugar for nothing.

louisesh · 02/12/2009 10:30

Hi All ...Had a fabulous break in Bruges and a lovely birthday yesterday.Hi SEVANS its crap isn t it? I ve had 2 MCs in the last year most of us on here have been through it soo can totally sympathise with you.....

Well a bit of news all i have a BFP!!!! 11 weeks after my most recent MC....Felt pg last week, don t know why or how i knew????Very naseaus tested last sat just as sailing to Bruges and many positives later, all faint though, i gave in and purchased my old favourite of a clearblie digital which displayed the words"pregnant 1-2 weeks"!!!!!

Soo sick of squinting at lines!!! Was worried that the lines were faint but then reasoned the last 2 times the lines were stronger but i lost those 2 soo i m giving that on thought at the moment,For now i m pg and we ll see how it goes. Not going to the midwife for a few weeks yet as my experience of them has always been poor...I will re-refer myself to EPU in 4 weeks for a scan then take it from there....

Have lots of nights out planned for xmas with much alcohol lined up!!! Now then fun starts paricularly with my work night out next week, i m a nurse i work with a load of nurses soo to fob off with the old antibiotic excuse doesn t work!!!!!

Am happy had mt brillant birthday weekend before i knew for definate to enjoy loads of naughty food and booze...

Hope everyone else is well.Got today off having my hi-lights done then back at work tomorrow.First night out on Fri must start to think of excuses!!!!!!
