Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

Thanks everyone for feeling excited for me and sending all those positive vibes! I'm really glad that you lot are here, I think I would be going mad without you.

BB good to hear from you, how are things going?

louise it's such a tough spot to be in. Have a hug.

bigmutha congratulations! It's always good to have some positive news. I hope this bean is a sticky bean!

hoops good to hear from you too. Glad to hear you and hoops-bean are going strong. Keep it up

cheepz keep up the relaxed stance!

MrsR I don't know how you do it. Especially so soon after the MC. I so hope all your effort works out!

Well, another Big Faint Positive here. So no news really. Just enough bfp-ness to get me seriously worried. My last pregnancy didn't last very long at all... And now I'm seeing signs and symptoms everywhere for this one (if it is true) failing as well. So I'm just going to have to wait, and hope for the best.
It's surprising that I should have conceived this cycle, anyway. We only had sex 4 times since the beginning of November... We have both been busy, I was away for a bit, then DP was away, and then we've been having the house full of guests all the time. Only one of those four falls into the "window" and just barely, barely... FF rated our chances this cycle as "low".
Now I'm very worried that this pregnancy, if it is indeed one, will fail very soon. I believe I might have a low progesterone level which could explain my irregular cycles and previous MC and why should it be any different this time? Ah well. Patience, patience, patience... Maybe Saturday or so I'll try a CB digital. Maybe then I'll start believing.

boodle any news???

MrsRigby · 09/12/2009 08:28

Morning

boodleboot and meita tell me you both have a BFP please.

Congratulations bigmuther65

Sorry for not posting, been feeling very tired - all that sex (plus DH was away last night and again this Friday). Feeling very positive too, just getting my hopes up aren't I. Just because I had sex every other day and that resulted in a pregnancy last time, I guess I'm thinking that more of the same will give the same outcome. Plus I've chosen to believe that your more fertile after a miscarriage.

I don't know.

Hope everyone else is well. I'll post again later.

zayja · 08/12/2009 22:43

Yea meita, c'mon now, BFP!

Cheepz · 08/12/2009 20:02

bigmutha congrats honey - of course its not insensitive - we all go through the loss so we all know how great it si for someone to get good news and after 2 MCs this year there is no doubt you deserve it and for everyone to be thrilled for you xxxx

hoops997 · 08/12/2009 19:25

Hi leewt yeah it's good news, am still hanging on and I'll be 24 weeks this friday and it's a boy......wishing you all the luck in the world xx

LeeWT · 08/12/2009 17:02

meita omg sounds like a bfp (big faint positive!) to me! Everything crossed for you!!!!!!!!!!!! When's the digital planned for?

lou sorry that all happened the way it did..

boodle I agree with meita until af shows her ugly face nothings out!!

bigmutha think I speak for myself but many others in saying good news is always welcome, congrats and good luck!

cheepz great to hear you are happyclappy and chilled it's the way to be. My consolation is to have something to look forward to like if I'm not preg this month I'll enjoy having a drink over Xmas and for my birthday (big three oh in Jan)..

Well girls positive thinking all the way. Oh and by the way that little girl I told you about who died of meningitis there's a website in her name www.rubyayoub.com if any of you have kids already although frightening it's very informative x

bigmuther65 · 08/12/2009 15:36

Hi sorry i have not posted lately i have had a BFP , now trying not to get to attached to this pregnancy IYNWIM.Sorry for all of you that have recently MC,feels a little bit insensitive to come on here with my good news. After 2 MC's this year hope this is my third time lucky.

louisesh · 08/12/2009 14:36

Hi all...Yes barrenbrook i most certainely will be drinking already started!!!! Its my work xmas "do" this fri so quite sure the odd cheeky drink will be digested!!!!!

Meita big positive vibes to you...Heres hoping...

Boodle know exactley where you re coming from hope is all we seem to have left at times...I think you re incredibly brave to continue after what you ve been through..

Zayja have had all the basic blood s ie: tft,fbc u and e s etc.... All those results negative and within normal range.

Found out some more information from the invaluable mums netters....It may be the option open to us at the genetic counselling meeting is/will be ivf soo they screen my eggs for potential chromosonal problems...Trying to hurry things along with a private appt but apparently you van t attend "privately" at the dept of genetics!!!!! Was also informed it can be quicker to access this dept with a gp referral soo to pre-empt this i m seeing my gp on fri soo 2 referrals go and hopefully we ll be seen asap!!!

Not too bad today started aspirin just going to keep going for it although i am one of the medical profession we ve all heard of "miracles" happening and times when the drs have got it wrong.

Think me and DH have come to a decision we ll give this ttc lark another year which takes me up to my 40th bday , which is the cut of point for ivf in the nhs anyhow, then if no joy we ll start the adoption process......soo in 3 years we ll have a child 1 way or the other!!!!

Trying not to think 3 YEARS the last 2 have totally flown by since we ve ttc.

Mantra to self: MUST REMAIN POSITIVE, but, oh its soo wearing!!!!

Hope everyone else is well...

barrenbrook · 08/12/2009 12:06

Hi Ladies, flying visit again after lurking and reading to keep up. Trying to be less mumsnet etc obsessed. Anyhoo, had to post after I read your last post meita, i'm getting excited for you!! Everything crossed as it sounds v promising!

Likewise boodle have everything crossed for you too.

louisesh sorry about your news chick, sending you a big hug. At least you can have a few drinkies over Christmas now though

Hello to everyone else, got to run as i'm supposed to be working!

Cheepz · 08/12/2009 10:25

boodle big hug and a kiss from me

am still blissed out post holiday, relaxed and convinced that there will be no baby this month but am feeling thats ok - especially after last months big dissappointment.

Am back to no testing, no symptom guessing - was so sure I was reading my body right last month I won't be setting myself up for that again.

I also believe that the 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' are the devils work and line tests are the only ones worth doing - by the time the ones with words give you a result you normally know anyway - they are crap for early testers

Meita · 08/12/2009 10:24

Good morning!

Zayja, that sounds like the perfect occasion to use preseed. Or, eat lots and lots of grapefruit / drink grapefruit juice. Then, get down to business!

Sevans, that sounds weird indeed. I assume you are being carefully monitored, just to rule out anything sinister? Hang on in there, it is an awful time, a terrible thing to go through, but it does ease off.

boodle hmmm well as long as AF has not arrived, anything is possible. And yet, it would have been quite something if you had conceived this month, on your very first attempt - and that with only one tube! If AF arrives today, maybe it would help to see the positive in it: If you had indeed conceived now, just think how anxious you would have been all through the holidays. Instead, this way, perhaps Christmas this year is not the time of BFPs, but the time of actually conceiving
Still, you have every right to feel miserable. It's an awful rollercoaster of emotions we subject ourselves to every month, isn't it?

Ok, so I tested again with FMU today, and well, there is clearly a faint second line. Not like yesterday, when the line was more a product of imagination than anything else. I felt sick, too, but that might just as well be due to the excitement. Because I am starting to become a bit excited now...
DP agrees that there is a second line but doesn't trust the result yet. I guess I'll just wait another couple of days or so and then splurge out on a CB digital. For now I'm quite happy to use up all my 15 "free" cheapie HPTs (they came with the e-bay OPK I ordered a while back).

boodleboot · 08/12/2009 09:59

all i have to report is a mitchy inge....

no AF but no line on a cheapie anymore either....very strange. No doubt she will turn up at some point today....i have no idea why i have been so convinced that it would be my month....i guess i just felt i 'deserved' a break which is silly as it just isn't the way it works, else we'd all have babies and the one night stands that get pregnant and the queues outside the termination clinics wouldn't....

wish i hadn't gotten so excited....i feel so let down and deflated today...i know its only cycle one after the EP....i just wanted to finish this year with a bean nestled in for the duration.....x

sevans hope your body sorts itself out soon for you...

louise big hugs to you.xxxx

lots of love to everyone else too.

Sorry i am so miserable today.

sevans · 07/12/2009 23:52

Did blood work last Thursday and got results today. My hcg levels went up. So weird. I am going back this Thursday for another test. The doctor said since I have had non-heavy bleeding and increasing hcg levels, I probably haven't had the major loss. That scares me because last week was awful as far as the pain. I guess I can handle the bleeding if there is no cramping. Today is the second day of no pain...yay!! My temp finally dropped below my coverline so I'm thinking this is on its way to the end.

zayja · 07/12/2009 23:33

Well boodle and meita, I'm pulling for you both. Lots of + signs (like temp going up in steps, woo hoo!). Hoping this month's your month. You too lee, since it happens when you're not trying (so I hear).

Welcome back cheepz, I'm quite jealous of your holiday - sounds fun and relaxing. I've also hear it happens on holiday... I need one!

tetley, sorry about your mc. It took 5 1/2 weeks for my hcg level to go down and I got AF within a week of testing at 18. I heard it should drop by half every other day or so.

louise, sorry that it turned out to be what you feared. Really the only positive side to it is that you can start with further testing. Hang in there, as meita said, you'll have a family one way or another. Maybe you've already had some basic tests, but I was reading today that low thyroid function can cause recurrent mc. Something to look into if you haven't already.

Thanks all for the advice about the xray, I did cancel my appt. and will reschedule for next cycle. Had tsh and prolactin levels drawn today, can call for results tomorrow. Opk says I'm starting to ovulate, but I have no EWCM. Any TTC expert advice or info. you may have to explain that. I have a bit of free time tonight, will google.

LeeWT · 07/12/2009 19:36

hi all

boodle that does sound promising. the last pregnancy i had i didnt get a positive despite expensive clearblues etc til day after i was due but got faint lines on cheapies. here's the thing, though i lost that baby, my hcg levels were massive so the preg tests werent an indicator of that iykwim. fingers crossed for you..

meita could this be?!?! throwing positive vibes your way!!

zayja i echo what boodle said maybe give yourself one last chance before xmas?

louise you poor thing it was obviously a chemical pregnancy which they say is common enough but so so upsetting all the same especially given all that you've been through..

sevans how are you getting on now?

Hi All tried to post earlier but some techical problem!!!! Did clear blue digital test this am and said " not pregnant" soo the hcg disappeared pretty quickly that whole debaucle lasted a whole week!!!! Must be a record for the worlds shortest pregnancy!!!!

Just returned from appt good and bad can t find any explanation with regards to the repeat mcs apart from cytogenetics blood test which showed an inversion/break/disruption in some of the chromosomes...don t totally understand it and i m medically trained. The dr couldn t explain it further we ve been referred for genetic counselling...Should get appt in next 6 weeks. Also been referred to re-current mc clinic in Leeds although dr said they probably wouldn t do any different but think she d run out of ideas!!!!

She said i could take "baby" aspirin which i d alreday got and decided to take anyhow.

What upset was she said the last fetus we lost was a girl it put it in to perspective to know the sex..Wish i hadn t have known.

I don t know.....off work for a few more days
Fingers crossed for boodle and meita

Holidays sound lovely cheepz LOVE holidays for taking u re mind off it all. Thanks tetley sometimes it seems to go forever doesn t it? When i had medical management it took me 5 weeks to get a neg test ,with the ERPC it took 2 weeks, this time as soo early only 1 week.

tetleytea · 07/12/2009 12:59

'Morning all,

Interesting what you're saying about cheapie sticks boodle. I'm now about 3.5 weeks after MC and waiting for my hcg level to go down. A few days ago I got out a cheapie ebay preg test that i had left over and it was negative (it was a sensitive one with a cut off value of 10). So i thought 'great!', i'm back to non-pregnant and will hopefully start to ov in the next week or so. Next day i got hcg blood test done at hospital and the result was 24 !! So why was it negative???!! What c**p.

Well so much for the idea of getting straight back to ttc'ing again I feel completely in limbo. I've been temping and my temps are all over the place, which i suppose is predictable. But what i really hate is that i've got absolutely no idea when AF is going to come. It wouldn't really matter except that OH and i will be apart for the week before christmas, he'll join me on xmas eve. I'm really desperate to ttc this month, what with the whole idea that you're supposed to be more fertile. Knowing my luck AF will come at the wrong time and we'll miss it . OH says he'll try and organise his travels around me but how can i ask him to change his dates when i have no frogging idea when i'm going to have AF, let alone possible OV?

Rant over. Sorry about that. Christmas kind of makes everything more difficult...

more hugs to louise

Meita · 07/12/2009 10:46

boodle I can see why you're worried! I guess the only thing I can say is, do not totally give up hope quite yet. I've heard that sometimes the HCG-rise goes in starts and stops, so it is very possible and normal that the line doesn't always get darker from day to day. As for the BFN on the CB, it might just be too early. Well I don't want to be giving you false hope or anything, but a second line - even on the cheapie test - might mean something, and it doesn't have to be anything scary. I suppose what's worrying and confusing is that though the cheapie says one thing, CB says different - at the end of the day, it might simply be due to different sensitivity levels. Did you use FMU with both? In any case, my fingers are crossed for you.

about the thrush. Same here, been struggling with it for a few days now. So annoying. Do you think the thrush could be related to ectopic pg? I've never heard of anything like that, though you'd know more about it I suppose
When my thrush first appeared, I was annoyed, of course, but also strangely excited - figuring that since I usually only get thrush after antibiotics, i.e. when my immune system is weakend, maybe it is an early sign of pgy - thrush due to a pgy-weakended immune system? Though to be honest, that's just me making up weird theories.

I'm not quite sure when AF is due for me as I'm a bit inconclusive about when I ovulated. It could be as early as tomorrow or as late as Saturday. Yes, I'm feeling positive, though mostly because I'm finally having a normal luteal phase - the first since my MC in July. So come what may, it's good news. If I'm actually pg - well that would be a nice bonus! Next test will have to wait until tomorrow at least though - non-FMU just won't do right now.

Sending you lots of patience vibes boodle. A few more days and the current insecurity and worries might appear totally irrelevant. For all the right reasons, hopefully!

boodleboot · 07/12/2009 10:17

meita it looks to me like there is a darker second line on another cheapie stick this morning but it is really faint still..if it were surely it would be getting darker..anyway in a moment of financial madness i wasted ANOTHER 15 quid on two digital CB with conception indicators today and one said NOT PREGNANT again....one day before period is due you'd think it would be able to detect if i was....

Last time i didn't get a positive result until the day of my AF was due....i also got thrush....today i have thrush {aaaarrggghhh} so now am panicking that if i get a positive tomorr it will be ectopic again and the reason the HCG is low still is because it is implanted in the wrong place....i hate this....i was so hoping to end this annus horribilis on a positive note but looks like its not going to be.....

am very excited for you tho....that is the most positive i have heard you about your chances in ages....this could be your month!!!!! do another cheapie....when is your AF due?

Meita · 07/12/2009 10:05

Good morning ladies,

Well according to FF I'm 11 DPO, according to MyNFP I'm 13 DPO, and today BBT rose to highest level yet this cycle. I have 15 (well, 14 now) cheapie HPT in my cabinet, so I decided I might as well use one. Well, it's inconclusive. At 5 minutes, I thought I could detect what must be the faintest second line ever - but depending on the angle of the light etc. I was not so sure at all.
There are moments when I feel a bit nauseous, and there are times when my boobs feel a bit sore, but well, I'm not going to start being obsessive about possible pg symptoms.

So overall, it's the same as always - more patience required.

boodle what do you mean, darker line on cheapie? Are you saying you got a dark second line on a cheapie test? Don't you know that those tests don't give you false lines? Here's hoping I didn't misunderstand you!

Welcome back tetley and cheepz, been missing you both! Hope you had good times away.

louise, more hugs your way. Such a horrible thing to happen, and just before christmas too. I wish there was something I could do for you. For now I'll just say I'm confident that you will yet have a family, one way or the other. Maybe adoption IS the right way for you to go. There is nothing wrong with adoption! Am just thinking that might be a thought to hold on to, rather than pondering your MCs and your body's apparent insufficiencies. It is unfair, and disappointing, and sad and painful - but it does NOT mean that you can't have a family. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway.

boodleboot · 06/12/2009 21:58

Internet cheapie gives me darker line...they are more sensitive than the CB digi that i then wasted which says NOT PREGNANT....gah....who am i kidding eh.....feeling very despondant now and certain that AF will arrive on tues....have been very snappy last couple of days too...consistent with her arrival and today felt very crampy altho that could be because of the iceskating i did with my children earlier....always remember it being MUCH more fun than it actually is....

hope everyone is well....hello cheepz, glad trip was good....

Cheepz · 06/12/2009 21:14

I'm back!!! I have spent the last two weeks not really thinking much about TTC and I feel great - even though I am pretty sure theres going to be no BFP for me this month as I could not feel less pregnant, I actually dont care. Clearly I just need to go on holiday until I am pregnant

louisesh thats just is so horrible for you big bigh hugs

boodle talk about crashing off the 'not ttc' wagon!

welcom new and lurking people, its quite the little community we have going here - well its more of an asylum but we like it!

Too knackered to post more but good to be back, off to france for Christmas so who knows, maybe I won't care next month either!

CakeandFineWine · 05/12/2009 21:24

{{{{hugs Louise}}}} hope you start to feel a bit better soon xx

Hi BayeauxT Welcome
Zayja I have no idea but what Meita said seems fair enough!

Just a quick one for me tonight, speak soon x

louisesh · 05/12/2009 18:21

Thanks very much everyone for your kind messages .Bleeding continues here i m absolutely convinced its another MC.Had my hcg level checked yesterday at work was only 9, which is quite low which fits in with it not being a viable pregnancy.

ANOTHER fuck-up .As you can expect i feel like shit.My whole life disrupted once again to no avail.I can t wear tampax or go swimming .Came home from work early yesterday as felt totally drained and will have a few days off next week,Soo soo mad about it all.

Why does it keep happening??????? I know theres possibly no answers just vocalising my thoughts.Going for another soak in the bath thats all i feel like doibg at the moment.Christmas is the last thing on my mind at the moment just wish it was over and done with....

Thanks All.

tetleytea · 05/12/2009 14:48
