Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

meita so very very very very very pleased for you. lots of love and hoping very nuch its going to be a long and safe pregnancy for you, please stay, we will miss you too much otherwise, if I ever get pregnant you can be sure I will be hanging around on here. xxxx

zayja · 10/12/2009 16:23

yea meita!!!!! SO pleased for you, and def. stick around for as long as you like - no need to jump ship. You're our resident fount of knowledge. Seriously.

cake, I'm also missing large chunks of the thread for the last few days. I'll catch up, post and then the next day there are 20 posts before mine that weren't there before!

Sorry AF got you boodle, that stinks!

Welcome glasgow85, sorry to hear about your mc. You'll find lots of support here.

I'm technically on 2ww but not holding out much hope. Was waiting around checking for ewcm so was asking dh to withdraw so I could get a handle on it. Believe we missed the peak day (-ewcm) and bd a day late. Of course you never know...

thefatladyscreams · 10/12/2009 15:14

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee oh meita that is such fantastic news. I've been having a really crappy day but now got a big grin. I'm so pleased for you my dear. Yes, it is scary. But this is a whole new pregnancy and you have every chance of it going fine. Don't you dare leave us. Forget this stuff about a week - you've got to stay here full stop!! How is your DP?

boodle glad you're feeling a bit better. I've been fine most months with the exception of the one cycle when my body tricked me that I might be pregnant. That one hurt just because I had got my hopes up. It does suck at times. Weird how this cycle was a different length though?

tetley - you did make me laugh with your half! I hate that feeling that every month must count. Pain about the timing but I'd stick with your plans. If you rearrange them and don't get a BFP, you'll only resent it and that will be no good for your stress levels! Much more likely to conceive next month if you're chilled and relaxed. Liking the idea of £200 worth of treats for you

Welcome glasgow85. Sorry to hear about your m/c. I don't think there is anything wrong with trying straight away. I think the doctors just suggest waiting one cycle as it makes dating any pregnancy easier. Just one thought, a lot of us have found our cycles a bit all over the place after a m/c so don't be surprised if AF doesn't turn up on time - always assuming she is going to turn up [hopeful ]

boodleboot · 10/12/2009 14:43

meita that is certainly excellent excellent news.....glad one of us has gotten lucky. Stay here for as long as you like...

i'm over it already....it will happen when it happens.....i seriously have had my fingers burned tho by internet cheapies so WILL NOT be buying anymore of those....

on the plus side you and i *tetley8 can literally be cycle buddys this month what with AF bouncing over to greet us both....enjoy christmas, DO NOT buy more flights....that is craaaaaaaazyness

Glasgow85 · 10/12/2009 12:40

Hi everyone i had m/c 13 nov early m/c. Did opk on 28th nov positive result coudnt help but try again i know they say u should wait well my a/f should b due on sunday tempted to test but dnt feel pregnant.

tetleytea · 10/12/2009 12:14

Totally agree with you leeWT. It makes me realise how deranged ttc is making me! But I'm the wrong side of 42.5 (note the half!)and it took me more or less a year to conceive before I mc'd. The only way I can handle ttc now is to do everything i can. Christmas just puts things in perspective how much it matters to me....

Sad but true!!

LeeWT · 10/12/2009 11:54

MEITA yeah yeah yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good!!!!!!!!! And of course stay here tho totallys grads are great support no matter what happens :-) oh so delighted sitting with big grin :-)

boodle sorry the wench caught you :-(

tetley everyones different but I'd enjoy Xmas come what may there's a lot of clothes/facials u could have for £200!!

Well it's all go ladies keep up the good work!

tetleytea · 10/12/2009 11:08

Quick? Meant very little QUITE like the disappointment...

tetleytea · 10/12/2009 11:05

Meita that has been literally the best news I've had for weeks! You've really made my day. Congrats again and please stick around and be our lucky mascot.

boodle really sorry AF mucked you around like that. It sucks. There is very little quick like the disppointment of the Wipe of Doom.

Mrs R I'm having exactly the same thing as you - brown mucus. I'm exactly 4 and a bit weeks post MC so it's def AF on its way. I'm presuming it's my body having a bit of a spring clean...

Hi TFLS! Big wave to you.

Well, as an early christmas present AF is on its way, pretty much like clockwork, amazingly enough given that my hcg levels a week ago said i was practically still pregnant . My worst case scenario is playing out, because I will pretty likely OV slap bang in the middle of the 6-day period in which DP and I will be apart - OF COURSE! So i have 2 options: skip this month& the supposedly higher fertility you have after mc, and spend the hols contemplating time passing over the mince pies with the rellies. Or lose my lovely cheap flights to London and rebook new £200+ flights for dd and me and lose 4 days of my holiday, so that DP and i can have the chance to do the deed

tetleytea · 10/12/2009 10:46

Fantastic news Meita! SO pleased for you!! A christmas BFP! Congratulations

Meita · 10/12/2009 10:38

Oh boodle that's so cruel, your body giving you such hopes just to shatter them a bit later. I'm really sad for you - you would have so deserved some good news before christmas.

MrsR I've never had anything like that. I hope it means your body is back to its fertile state. I can so understand how it would take you back to the MC. I'm currently desperately trying not to turn into an obsessive knicker-checker myself.

Cake do you have cheap internet OPKs or expensive ones from the pharmacy? I found that having the cheap ones gave me the peace of mind to use them whenever I felt like it, rather than anxiously estimating if it was too early or too late already or what... Still, I never got a clear positive on those, although I used nearly 50 of them - those two cycles I used them on were probably both anovulatory.

Ladies, I think I should face it and stop denying it: I'm pregnant. Got a first response test (boots has a BOGOF deal atm) and used it today, and though the lines are not fat, they are cristal-clear. There are two clear, unambiguous, pink lines.

HELP!!!

Can I please please please stay here for a while? I feel very lost right now... I'm terribly excited and happy on the one hand, and at the same time worried sick that this pregnancy won't last a week... My last (first) pregnancy was very short, and now in light of Louise's recent experience... My emotions are all over the place. I know I should discreetly make my way over to the pregnancy board but I just can't face it right now. A week? Give me one week, please?

hoops997 · 10/12/2009 10:16

boodle have been watching with my fingers and toes crossed, stoopid AF.....I was really hoping this was your month xx

boodleboot · 10/12/2009 10:06

Game Over. lots of cramping this morning and some bloody mucus.....she is on her way for sure.

CakeandFineWine · 09/12/2009 22:47

Hi all, I hope this message comes through. MN is playing up on me at the mo and I keep losing HUGE chunks of threads, just read most of OCT thinking it was the end of the thread I'd I somehow missed alot and was very confused?!?
Not much to report here will post properly prob tomorrow when I've caught up with you all. Suppose to start my OPK on Fri but will prob start tomorrow to be on safe side!

MrsRigby · 09/12/2009 22:39

Okay, what the hell's going on?

Just been to the toilet for a pee, wiped and there was a blop of thick brown mucous.

It's been 3 weeks since I miscarried (feel like I should be in a confession box saying that!).

According to a few websites, brown cervical mucus is either:

  1. Ovulation or
  1. Implantation

Also, for the last day or so I've also had a dull ache to the lower right abdomen. I thought AF might be on her way - even with my PCOS cycles.

No idea, I'm going to guess that either my period is on it's way or I'm ovulating. Too tired tonight, will force DH to have sex with me tomorrow (especially as he's buggering off again on Friday).

Just seeing the brown mucus on the tissue took me right back to the miscarriage (also in the same bathroom - we have 2).

Sometimes I really dislike my body. Though it is bloody (sorry for the pun) amazing.

Goodnight

thefatladyscreams · 09/12/2009 17:32

What a lot to catch up on. That will teach me to do some work instead of Mumsnetting!

louiseh - gutted for you. What a cruel experience. I share your fears. After my m/c I was only worried about miscarrying again - didn't ocur to me how hard it would be to get pregnant again . I keep telling myself that it only takes one to stick. Trip sounds a good idea.

boodle great info and advice from meita. It's so understandable that you would worry about an etopic again. I'd be off buying a Clearblue Digital by now but patience was never by strongpoint.

I've got my fingers, thumbs and toes crossed for you and meita! Where do you two live and I'll be round with the sticks!

Congrats bigmuther - never worry about posting a BFP - the more good news the better and the more inspiration for us.

Welcome back from holiday cheepz - you sound in great form. Waft some of those chilled out vibes over here my dear!

sevans - sorry you are going through such a torrid time. Hopefully the pain will ease soon. How are you doing today?

Lee at you doing the deed at your most fertile by accident. Excellent!

zayja - another vote for preseed here.

tetley I hated that wait and see what was going on bit. I just wanted some control back. It sucks.

Sorry if I've left anyone out - in a bit of a dash.

Got a Peak on the monitor today so told DH he better be on form tonight! Please Santa can I have a BFP for Christmas, pretty please.

OP posts:
boodleboot · 09/12/2009 16:17

yeah....i read that too today....apparently according to google it is quite common to not get positive results for days past when you think you are due...i'll just have to wait and see if the witch turns up....grrr.

Meita · 09/12/2009 16:05

boodle I googled a bit for you, earlier, and found that ectopics ALWAYS come with positive tests. Also that you would expect higher, not lower, HCG levels with ectopics.

If it would ease your mind, maybe call NHS direct or the EPU you were at last time? Online info can be sooo confusing and misleading.

Or you could take the "patience" approach, wait a few more days, do another test if AF doesn't arrive by the weekend or so. If still negative, go see doctor. At least then you would have a plan ;)

boodleboot · 09/12/2009 15:06

maybe i am having a longer cycle but i have no idea why that would be? since april when i have been monitoring my cycle i have been 28 days....why would that suddenly change. Surely thee HCG would be great enough to catch a strong line now i am LATE....there is no lines at all now....very bizarre...going to google and see if you can be ectopic without positive preg test....i don't want to tell you how i will be if that is what it is......

Meita · 09/12/2009 13:41

boodle everything is crossed for you. Might just be that your HCG-levels aren't high enough yet.

That said, if AF stays missing, perhaps you should get yourself to a doctor sometime soon. If you ARE pg (please pretty please!) then you'd want to have another ectopic ruled out as soon as possible. For your ease of mind if it isn't ectopic; for your other tube to be saved by early intervention if it turns out to be ectopic.
I don't mean to worry you more than you certainly already are. It's just that I'm worried for you too!

louisesh · 09/12/2009 13:25

BOODLE not over till the fat lady sings......

boodleboot · 09/12/2009 11:54

NO period. No bfp. No idea.

louisesh · 09/12/2009 10:19

And might help me learn to spell again!!!!!!

louisesh · 09/12/2009 10:18

Morning all..Congrats to bigmutha65 and dare i say it meita fingers still crossed.Again thanks for well wishes from you all....

Booked a weekend away in Feb with sister,dh and her parnter courtsey of mums bank in lieu of a xmas present soo thats my first trip away to work towards.Found the way to stop me focussing on the ttc lark and stop me getting depressed about the sorry state of afairs is to book regular trips away...

Mrs R i too have read somewhere you are more fertile after a mc the same way as after a pregnancy....that hope also keeps me going, although i am very scared that if i do get another bfp i ll just niscarry again due to the findings.....But don t see theres anyhting else we can do other than carry on!!!!

Back at work tomorrow which i think, will help as it ll keep me busy and take my mind off things[well a little bit!!!}
