Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

Morning ladies

A fleeting visit from me before we head to the Lakes for New Year.

Am on Day 25 and have been having incredibly vivid dreams about taking tests and them coming up positive. Also had a few twinges on Boxing Day which my imagination is hoping was implantation, but was probably just imagination! So still resisting the urge to do a First Response - although may buckle tomorrow as a way to close off the year.

Am over the moon for you, cakes - we seem to be having a run of good news on this thread what with you and Meita, so fingers crossed it continues.

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow. Can't wait to see the back of 2009, so see you in a much brighter 2010.

xx

Hi Everyone,

Feeling a bit flat suddenly...it sort of hit me that I am getting towards the end of my window for conception and that I might not be pregnant this month. While I thought I was ok about mc'ing, perhaps I might not be. I made myself feel ok about it because I could go ahead and try again. All I did though was to potentially delay the sadness which is just masked at the moment.

I was so optimistic, where did it all go?

Hello all, hope everyone had a nice Christmas!
Well, I really thought things might happen this month - stupidly did a First Response test last week BFN of course! Then convinced myself I had implantation bleed, as started bleeding 9 days ago, a week before period due. It was the same light flow for 2 days, stopped for 2, then started again. Today I had the first day of 'proper' period - very heavy and bad cramps! Aggghh! For some reason I was convinced it was going to be THE month! Hey ho.

zayja · 29/12/2009 20:26

Sorry, I stepped out for the holidays but am back. AF got me last Mon. so am now on day 9. Congrats cake, great news. Hope all of your Christmases were great. Last of the family left today so am now relaxing with DH on the couch about to watch TV and nap...

SamanthaB123 · 29/12/2009 15:50

Hi all,

[Boodle] I'm not due for ages, it's only day 14 now. Last month I didn't test until my due date and I had a number of faint positives as a well as a digital positive. The faintness was because I was about to miscarry and eventually it turned negative. Because of this I feel loath to test early because I don't feel that I can trust a faint positive again. If I do conceive this month it will only have happened very recently, if not be happening as I sit here typing...it's ages before I can test really. I'm due around the 13th January, I really should hold out until then...watch this space, I'll be testing on the 9th!!!

[Cheepz] Now that your not worrying about ttc all the time, you'll almost certainly be pregnant. Prior to this time, both my daughters were conceived in a very ad hoc fashion. I had little awareness of my cycle or when I was ovulating and conceived straight away both times. I've learned all kinds of things since mc'ing!

[Cakeandfinewine] Your news is so exciting. Reading that you have your BFP has kept me going. It's so good to hear success stories. Look after yourself and really enjoy every minute. There's a whole person growing in your tummy, what a fabulous thing!

[MrsR] You have gone very quiet, are you ok? Your messages have kept me going over the last few weeks since I found you all here. It's not the same without you. SB

Cheepz · 29/12/2009 12:16

cake top job

mrsr| sometimes everything is just abit [bicuit] and there is nowt anyone can do, thanks for keeping list on track though

boodle temping, noting stuff down, all thats tuff is good to do if its helping psychologically from month to month

meita thinking of you petal, hope all going well still. [hug]

leeWT nice to see you lurking about, I am still looking like a larder

sam123 think you have to try and trust your insticts - although boodle and I have both been burnt on that front recently

... as for me, CBFM showed peak yesterday and again today, I am taking antihistamines at the mo as alergic to cat at mums so not sure thats going to help, but dh and I managed a sneaky quick one last night while my folks were having dinner with friends downstairs and ds asleep next door - wierd trying to bd at parents house but we are out for dinner tonight so maybe I will jump dh in car!! takes me back a few years!

fingers crossed, although could do with a month to lose christmas pounds before get pregnant and had written off this cycle as have not been taking vitamins and have been drinking loads of booze and coffee!!! ah well we will see

at least I seem to be past the desparate to be pregnant stage now which lasted a good 4 cycles post mc, now its almost like I am just trying, not so much trying post mc, don't know if that makes sense...

love to all

CakeandFineWine · 29/12/2009 10:20

hello ladies,
Just popping in, I'm a bit scared to leave you all
Did a clear blue this morning and its def a BFP! so decided to uethe duedat calculator and its the 5/6th Sept, fingers crossed!

I'll still send you all postive thoughts and lurking for a long while yet!

boodleboot · 29/12/2009 10:15

i have no real idea what i am doing temping to be honest....it won't stop me testing early or anything, just another 'action' to put in towards conceiving i guess....i feel quite optimistic as that is my natural position but feel quite realistic that it may take me a while with only the one tube. I am due jan 6th so reckon i could test NYE maybe as my first ridiculously early test and then keep going from then til AF arrives....ha. when can you test sam? lee hun, whats the score with you now? actively trying??

SamanthaB123 · 29/12/2009 09:54

Thanks [boodle]. It's funny isn't it? I just feel like this is it. Of course saying that kind of thing here probably dooms me How are you feeling this month - are you optimisitic?

I know and understand about temperature changes but interestingly mine never seems to change much even when I have ovulated. I keep monitoring though. Perhaps I have a dodgy temperature taking technique!!! I might have to look into this .

The waiting is fearsome isn't it? I'm still in the middle of the month and I just want to know even now!

LeeWT · 29/12/2009 09:28

mrsR are you ok? Pls dont feel down :-(

cakes good woman!!!!! congrats!!!

hi to everyone else xxx

boodleboot · 29/12/2009 08:20

mrsR....its strange seeing you so quiet. lots of love. thanks for doing the list tho....

well CD 20 for me, either 8 or 10 days to AF due...i have taken my temps this morning and yesterday morning and they are 37.1 and 37.0 so have put them into FF but didn't remember to do any others this month. will keep doing from now til end of month tho so should see big dip in that temp if AF is imminent. Next month i will temp properly if no BFP this one. i can't pinpoint when i ovulated this month as had pains at around day 12 but also at around day 15....don't really have a scooby whats going on iside my body this month but thats ok....FF confuses me slightly as because i wasn't temping this month or using OPK's it doesn't register if i have ovulated or not therefore i am not in the post-luteal phase according to it...

off to work for me now....not looking forward to it but on the plus side DH is decorating my sons room and the house is UTTER HAVOC....why so much mess is needed to decorate i have NO IDEA....best i leave before he gets the blow torch out....

Sam - i have a very definite feeling that i had conceived when i did with the PG that sadly ended in EP....i knew a week before i knew IYSWIM. FX for you.

SamanthaB123 · 29/12/2009 07:59

Back to work today - only working at home but still, it's a shock to the system. It's going to take me all day to work out what I'm supposed to be doing.

Good Evening,

Boodleboot I found the info about increased fertility by accident on the internet...I have to admit that it did make me feel good about my prospects ttc but it was research based and once I started looking I found it in other places too. We will have to see how many of us who hac mc'd do conceive quickly.

CakeandFineWine Congratulations! How exciting to hear some lovely news at Chrismtas. You must be really delighted!

I'm really sorry for everyone with AF right now - I really hope that I am pregnant this time, I can't imagine how I will keep going through months of this. BDing is great though

I had a bit of a moment in the middle of the night last night - a sort of lucid dream. I felt really sick with a terrible headache but in a way that I felt something was really happening. I'm not sure if I think I concieved or ovulated, just that it was a moment of significance. I'm probably not making any sense at all...I've never experienced anything like that before, it was a really moving feeling.

that is brilliant news cake sooooo glad that we had a christmas BFP.... - stick around or pop back and let us know how you are doing....

mrsR - i'm so sorry, i know exactly how you are feeling, i got myself so wound up last month desperate to be pregnant at christmas and the stress and pressure i felt was amazing.....this month couldn't be more different, even if i am not PG {and lets face it, it IS going be take me longer only having one tube......}i have had some really important relationship time with my DH and feel so much the better for it....i know you don't want to hear people telling you to chill out, its annoying isn't it BUT you really owe it to yourself to give your mind and body a break....not a literal break but a MENTAL break.....its trying to recover from a trauma, losing a baby....when we try to race away from something as big as that we run the risk of going a bit bonkers....i have found that this female fertility enhancer meditation on my IPOD really helped me after the EP....its all about visualising repairing your body from the inside....if you would like it then let me know and i can email to you for you to download.....be easy on yourself and your body....[hippy emoticon]

Louise - i'm glad you enjoyed the film.....i DID think that Robert Downey Junior was amazing in it.....just the cut and slash directing i didn't like.....i couldn't help but think what a fabulous name for a boy both SHERLOCK and MORIARTY were tho ha....

sunburn - so sorry to hear you so down.....what you are going through is rubbish and i am sorry that you are feeling so depressed.....ride it out hun and lets get you pregnant for 2010 so you can get a nice big shiny pram.....

sam - when i said about that temporary increased fertility after MC he looked me square in the eye and said that it sounded like the sort of thing that was told to people desperate to conceive to give them hope and make them carry on trying.....but he is a grumpy old thing.....either way if it makes us feel better about TTC so much the good eh?

tigger....whast a lousy christmas present....well done for not letting it ruin everyones christmas tho....i always thought september babies were better than august anyhoo...the school age thing....

louisesh · 27/12/2009 23:51

Hi all CONGRATS to Cake yeh!!!!

Well, BOODLE just been to see sherlock Holmes and really enjoyed it....We all have different tastes don t we? [Although my DH did have to explain about "professer moriaty" at the end!!!!]

Still no BD going on here we both seem to have totally lost the urge, suppose its to be expected after 2 years and 3 MCS and what we are facing.....But i want a sex life back for the sake of my relationship, at least we are cuddling and all the rest of it....we just need to keep working at it.

Had a lovely few days off work eating, chilling, shopping and sleeping. Was supposed to visit friends in Derby to stay over night but we cried off to shop for some xmas pesents and chill ou at home instead its soo nice to be off work.Back at work on Tuesday..but short week only 2 days to work then off to my parents for new year.

No thoughts on AF what so ever, don t think for 1 minute i ll be pg this month and don t really see the point as its been identified about my chromosomnal problem...All being well we will get our appt with the genetic counseller end of Jan[ i spoke to the secretary last week] and if theres a cancellation before hand she will get in touch with us}.

Seeing the MIL tomorrow for exchanging of xmas pressies should be good!!!!

Arh...MRS R its shit...... X

CakeandFineWine · 27/12/2009 21:31

MRSR thanks hun. As for you its still early days!! you time will come I really felt ready this month for it! If you ar stressing about it happening too much it won't happen xx

Many congratulations cakeandfinewine. samanthab123 many of us have heard of that. I read you're more fertile for up to 3 months after a period.

We'll see.

sunburntats 'funny feelings in my tum', could you be pregnant?. That's how boodleboot and I knew we were pregnant...

Definately a period for me, I suppose in a way it's a good thing, but I really wanted to be pregnant by now.

Feel quite sad.
