A little reunion

Rattling! How are you? Tell!!

rattling · 10/10/2009 00:20

Gilly - I can only echo what everyone else has said. There is still hope. And my personal opinion that the upset of a failed cycle (if that was to be the case) won't be made any worse by spending a few extra days thinking of yourself as a pregnant lady. Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. Hope you enjoy it.

OK I have gone google mad - giving lottie a run for her money hcg levels this one says the average at 14 DPO is 21 - now I know you can find anything you want online and can always find a supporting website etc and I am not trying to give you false hope but just to plant the seed of possibility for you - right I'll shut up now promise Apologies if I have stressed you even more.

waves to Ready and everyone else. Gilly - you do realise you have created a right little reunion in here

Wheelybug · 09/10/2009 19:30

Gilly - sorry things weren't more positive, but suggests its not time to quite give up hope yet (although appreciate your need not be positive).

From a quick google I have found a couple of links that suggest it is low but not 'really bad'. Happy to post those links but you may have seen them, or may not want to be bamboozled by more info.

Take care - thinking of you and sending un-mumsnetty hugs. You really deserve this to work out.

Ready · 09/10/2009 19:28

Gilly, thinking of you flower... I wouldn't normally suggest testing, but if you think it might help then go for it. But if it will stress you more then don't. I so hope that you are resting and looking after yourself! It's great that Seaside has found that a level of 5 can indicate pg! Hugs xx

seaside72 · 09/10/2009 19:23

arghh - Gilly - what a nightmare - just so desperately wanted you to have confirmation today. HOWEVER I am refusing to rule you out of the game yet - I found this link on hcg levels which seems to show that hcg levels are very random - the good news is anything over 5 can indicate pg. While I am never one to advocate excessive poas'ing I have to say I would be very tempted to be having a go tomorrow morning (and prob every morning!) Having said that I really remember when I was 16 dpo and no sign of AF with high temps etc and everyone on MN was screaming at me to test but I somehow could not bring myself to do it??? It is a strange feeling.

So in the meantime I am continuing to send Big Fat Positive vibes and am saying my prayers. Putting on my bossy hat- I want you to spend the weekend taking it easy and relaxing and if you can bear some of my hippy mumbo jumbo keep visualising the good result, the bean growing, your abdomen bathed in blue light (this is supposed to be positive - so don't laugh at me)

xxx

HH did not continue my prog injections - which I found a little (ok...lot!) scary - but I was persuaded by a HH staff nurse that it was not needed. A fair amount of knicker checking followed.

hoping and thinking of you

Hi gilly ... My gp did my repeat blood tests so call them and they gave me 14 weeks worth of progestrone. Do u get ur results today? Mine were quite low and a friend was 4 days behind me and her hcg was much higher... I panicked of course but obviously nothing was wrong except just different people and different rates of growth of hormones.. So basic don't read to much into them it is just down to them doubling etc..
Sending lots of love xxxx

Ready · 09/10/2009 12:27

Gilly!! I got a text this morning from Rah who said to come on mn!! Thinking of you. xxx

Wheelybug · 09/10/2009 09:39

Thinking of you still this mornng. Hope the results come quickly for you

hobnobs · 09/10/2009 09:33

Thinking of you this morning. As you know my HCG levels were very low to start with but what matters is that they double (every 48 hours or so I think). My DH was a bit like yours - bless him. I remember telling him there was no such thing as a false positive, no matter how faint the line (one thing I'd learnt here!) I think he didn't dare believe it until I'd taken more tests & the line gradually became stronger.

chocolatedays · 09/10/2009 08:39

Morning Gilly, Dealing with a little sleep deprivation is nothing compared to long term ttc!! DD is 15mnths and (most of the time) a giggly delight.

Though HH can be hard work on the phone I have found they are better face to face - so hope there is no fight this morning to get the bloods done.

Can you rest today? You don't have to do a complete sickie - you can be available on the end of the phone if that helps you relax??

I'm not in much today - but will check on here for you as often as I can.

Like RahRah said (hi Rah!! - in fact hi everyone else!!!) I'm now popping on a virtual train and holding your hand through this (hope you living room is not too crowded!)
Cxx

keep strong xxxxx

rattling · 08/10/2009 21:40

Gilly - not sure you remember me. I can't even remember which thread I know you from (TTC #1? temping thread? both??), but I am joining in with the swell of good wishes for your result tomorrow. xx
