I'm just going to loiter until we get good news Gilly

Ready, I wouldn't worry too much about the weight though, unless they are actually losing weight. I think hv really too much on the 'lines' on the chart and forget to use their eyes. If she is happy and responsive I can't see there being much wrong. J fell two percentiles and has been fairly static since then, sometimes they need to drop to find their right size iyswim!

Wheelybug · 12/10/2009 11:36

Thinkg of you today ! Hope the news comes fast and is good news.

Ready · 12/10/2009 09:51

Thinking of you. xxxxxxx

Choc, she has gone from the 50th centile to the 25th in 5 weeks... so not off the charts, but they said it could be a warning. We'll see.

Gilly - glad you found a sympathetic doctor. Good luck for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

As for early preg symptoms - I have felt v. different in all 3 of mine and the one I had the most early symptoms was the one I lost.

Hi Kensgirl - I remember you ! Hope all is well.

chocolatedays · 11/10/2009 18:25

Gilly - as Ready says - hang in there. My symptoms came and went and came back again. You can't judge by last time - as I've heard eachh time can be very different. Keep resting and let's wait and see (it's never simple is it!)

Ready - lovely to chat! guess lil one is 3months? You'll have to up your cake intake (that excuse works for me) to increase the calories of your milk! Seriously - is she falling off her red book curve? Trust your own instincts too. Mix feeding has been fine for several mum's I know.

Gilly... hang in there... please. I know what you are saying about knowing your body, but this is a different kettle of fish, so you don't actually know how your body should respond to this situation. So please try to stop thinking the worst (although I understand that defence mechanism all too well). You are totally in my thoughts. So hopeful that your levels have risen tomorrow.
Look after yourself and try to sleep!

Choc, I am good, littleReady went 8 hours last night!! I panicked a bit when I looked at the clock. Day sleeps are not going well, but she's still learning. Her weight gain has not been slower than expected, and the HV are slightly concerned - as are we, so may have to stop BF or supplement to get her bulking up - but weigh in on Tues to see what they say.
Well done on the sleeping through! It's all about progression in my book. Baby steps.

Hi Ready - did you? I missed that, sorry. (prob too sleep deprived ). It is kinda getting better - she's slept through once and 7 hrs solid 3 nights in the last week - now it is just the wide awake for 2-3hrs in the wee hours we're trying to crack. Wouldn't swap it for the world tho! How are you doing?

Still thinking of you Gilly!

Hi Kensgirl! How are you??

choc, i posted on a thread you were on about sleep. How's it going?

chocolatedays · 10/10/2009 12:40

Not sure what to say at the moment - all you can do is rest and give it time - and it sounds like that's what you're doing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dh.

(so many familiar names! & waves)

Hi Gilly. Thanks for the update. We're now happily installed in our holiday cottage in deepest Somerset. DS did not like the journey last night but seems quite happy here.

I am gutted that you haven't got a more conclusive result though I think you're being incredibly calm about it all. When the nurse rang me with my day 16 results, she said it was a promising start but that I needed to go back in 48 hours to check they were doubling (if it had been higher, they wouldn't have bothered retesting). I drove myself mad googling trying to find out what they should be but there is no right answer. If you can persuade them to retest earlier on Wednesday, do. I'm reluctant to suggest you to test again, when you're being very restrained, but if you do and the line is darker & comes up more quickly, that would show more hcg.

Sending lots of prayers, whatever the outcome. It is all very frustrating.

nomoremagnolia · 10/10/2009 10:36

aaarrggghhh! How totally frustrating for you! I too am still hoping for the best for you but I also completely understand your need to not really believe it until it's undeniably true (and screaming at you from the moses basket)
Will be praying for you all week, God's ears are well and truly being bent about this one
Have a lovely relaxing weekend x

kensgirl · 10/10/2009 09:37

Oh, Gilly! i am thinking of you and sending you all good vibes, please don't give up yet, you never know what nature can do, but i can understand your train of thought. We always went with the "fear the worst, and hope for the best" mantra too.

Hi there to anyone else who remembers me x

RahRah1 · 10/10/2009 08:25

Hi gilly, so sorry you have not got any conclusive results yet. I logged on last night but was having dinner at my mum and dads and instantly googled hcg results and levels. Which I did when I got my results when I was pregnant with daisy. I think I was about 5 weeks and mine was under 100, so on the low side and I drove myself crazy looking into it especially when my friend had much higher hcg and was 4 days behind. Anyway I demanded a scan by 6 weeks as I was so unsure whether it was a viable pregnancy and the scan showed nothing except an empty sac. Finally the women did an internal scan and found the baby,., but if I had just calmed down and waited and just let time work things out it would of been far better. Easier said than done but you have such a good attitude and defo remaining far calmer than me.
Anyway would of posted last night but got told of by my parents for using my telephone... I'm only 34 after all!!!! Thinking of you xxxx
