Lovely lovely gynie specialist managed to whip out my Mirena (went astray, have posted before) without needing a GA (or three month wait for one) so am now officially TTC!

This (hopefully) will be my second DC, and am planning to use Persona to get to know my cycle a bit.

Is there a board I can join? Feel a bit weird about just jumping on to those great long boards where everyone knows each other...

Gladto meet some more control freaks too we have resolved just to go with the flow but it is so frustrating not knowing NOW exactly when things will happen!!

waspylady · 21/09/2009 15:05

Hello everyone, can I join in too?

I was also on April bus but had to get off.

Am keen to have another go as soon as I can which hopefully will be in a couple of weeks.

Let's hope this is a lucky thread for us all.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 21/09/2009 14:53

Hello everyone
Nice to see so many of us in the same place.

Sorry you're no longer on the April bus Mcfee the next one will be along for you really soon i'm sure.

Ticklepeanut · 21/09/2009 11:16

Welcome mcfee

Sorry to hear you're no longer on the April bus - hopefully this thread will be lucky for you.

mcfee · 21/09/2009 10:36

Hello, any chance I could join too? I was on the 'Due April 2010' bus for a few weeks but sadly no more. TTC#2 and am starting 2 week wait today (hopefully will only be 10 day wait) Needed a thread where I didn't feel I was interrupting!

Ticklepeanut · 21/09/2009 10:21

Welcome Emnotpgyet - just spotted you

Ticklepeanut · 21/09/2009 10:20

Welcome Yorkshire, tiffanys, HKT and imkeepingmum (is that everyone? I hope so!) It's great to know I'm not the only one just starting and not sure of everything - if anyone gets any good tips, please pass them on.

I can really sympathise Yorkshire. I am so used to being in control with my job it is really frustrating to have to leave this in the hands of the gods, so to speak! I tested at the weekend - stupidly, as it was at least a week to early to show anything up and of course resulted in a BFN and accompanying disappointment .

I'm not on MN over the weekends for the same reason as some of you are - trying not to let on to my fella just how mad keen I am about TTC! If he thought I was posting about it he would think I'm even more bonkers than he already does.

We're keeping it a secret from our families too. As this would be our first, we really don't know how they'd react.

Sorry for waffling on - back to work for me!

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 20/09/2009 22:16

I'm a total control freak as well usually at the moment just going to try and enjoy some nookie and try and forget it could be leading anywhere.

EmNotPGYet · 20/09/2009 20:20

Hello, I'm just starting out as well - first month off the pill, and it's really exciting to have deliberately unprotected sex! yay! I'm planning to relax and go with the flow for the first six months, and not get into charting etc until after that. Famous last words though - I'm quite a control freak!

Good luck to us all...

tiffanys · 20/09/2009 20:03

im excited to....... hope we are not waiting to long

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 20/09/2009 19:38

Heelllooo everyone.
I was away last night for my mum's 60th shattered now.
Glad to see a good few of us starting TTC hope we all graduate soon to the pregnancy board.
Heee heeee i'm excited

imkeepingmum · 20/09/2009 15:17

Hi, I'm new too and don't understand the big threads either! Current in very early stages of TTC first baby - came off pill 4 weeks ago but want to have a few cycles first, and first AF (I think that's the correct acronym...) arrived today. Both me and OH dreadfully excited about it all but are not telling anyone for the same reasons as tiffanys - questions from friends and family would do my head in!

HKT · 20/09/2009 15:07

Hi can I join too?
I'm on month 2 TTC #4!
My DH and I decided to be relaxed about it this time, but sadly sex is as spontaneous as a military operation!

tiffanys · 20/09/2009 11:17

Hi all

Yorkshire, I know what you mean about censoring..... I find myself talking about it all the time with my dh and I think he think I have nothing else to talk about !
We to are not telling anyone about ttc as we dont want the pressure of all the questions from family and friends. I have about 2 weeks until af so fingers crossed .... although it did take about 6 months ttc dd so am expecting to have to wait a while for the bfp.

Hi nymphadora.... try not to worry ...at leaast we are all trying together

nymphadora · 20/09/2009 09:00

Hi !

I will join you too if that's ok? I am on the June bus but don't really know what they are on about I am ttc #3 but am with a new partner and he hasn't had kids & I had some gynae probs so am imagining things to worry about

WestYorkshireGirl · 20/09/2009 08:41

Hi tiffanys

I never thought I would become a bit obsessed about it and normally I talk to to DH about everything, but have to keep censoring myself on the baby thing! He definitely wants one, but can't face the thought (me neither) of sex becoming a chore so I have to keep important dates to myself (although I'm sure he must guess!). None of my close friends have children so there's not a lot of people to talk to and we haven't told anyone really we are TTC because it's something I want to be private. AF only just finishing so got a while to go this month.... Have never been very patient and in my job am used to managing situations to my advantage so this is a challenge for me - perhaps it will do me good?!!!

Finger's crossed for us all!

tiffanys · 19/09/2009 22:23

Hi all

Do you mind if i join in? im new to mn and the long threads look aa bit scary. Im ttc dc 2 this is my first mcycle but im already finding it hard to think about anything else.

good luck to all.

stillfrazzled · 19/09/2009 21:27

Hi Yorkshire

I was just the same when i got my first neg test and AF. Your DH probably has the right idea but it's SO much easier said than done, isn't it? Hope your cycle starts behaving and we all get good news soon! Mind you, my DH is currently hundreds of miles away so suspect this month's a write-off...

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 18/09/2009 22:32

Hello Yorkshire welcome
I know i's a bit daunting all these long threads.
I'm on month 2 as well although
knew month one was not happening for us.
I'm not too bad yet still quite relaxed.
Hoping I stay that way (fingers crossed)

It is a bit of a roller coaster isn't it no matter how relaxed you are it hits hard when it hasn't happened for you.

WestYorkshireGirl · 18/09/2009 22:04

Hi ladies.

Please can I join your thread? I too have only just started to TTC (am in month 2) and felt a bit overwhelmed on here with all the existing threads and people who know each other and use loads of shorthand that's not in the acronyms section!!!. Had my first crying on the toilet experience this week when realised it hadn't happened when AF started which really surprised me as I thought I was fairly relaxed about it all. I have a very random cycle which doesn't help and my DH doesn't want to be too serious about it as he doesn't want to feel pressured. It will be good to make a few virtual friends ....

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 18/09/2009 17:49

You just never know though.
This bit that you are at just now the week until you test is my least favourite bit.
When I was trying for ds I spent a forune on thos amazingly expensive tests that say they will tell you early..none did heaps of negs.
Then the day my period was due I ran up the stairs at home and got a wave of nausea ran out bought a cheap 99p test (then bought 5 more various tests) and I was pg with ds.

Ticklepeanut · 18/09/2009 17:36

thanks, it's probably all just in my crazy head anyway!

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 18/09/2009 17:13

Not sure really with dd I was hugely nauseous and sick for months with ds not at all but right now because i'm so tired all the time and most defiantely not pregnant yet I am feeling nauseous a lot so sorry no real idea.

Ticklepeanut · 18/09/2009 15:07

Question - how nauseous are you likely to get in the first, say, week of pregnancy? I'm sitting at my desk trying to decide if I actually am feeling a bit off or whether I'm just imagining it because I'm bored!
