Got a hospital app today and just came on for a quick lurk before I leave and WOW fantastic news 4ever so, so happy for you, congratulations. Huge smile on my face here, I had a funny feeling it wasn't too far away.

neeko love the rainbow thought, I'll never look at a rainbow quite the same again.

Will be back later but need to go for now..............leaving the house with the biggest grin on my face.

4everhopeful · 22/09/2009 09:14

Thank you again sweetie! I wanted to post a witty message but Im a bit in shock! 3 tests later & now I believe it! Had a funny feeling from my dads birthday that we might of 'done it', as had hot flushes, been super tired & ravenously hungry, things started to taste funny & smell stronger, so rushed in from work yest & done test immediately!

Normally always tell DH & he hovers by bathroom door waiting, didnt this time, Id literally put the test down to develop & he started to call me from the garden (for the supersticious amongst us..) he was calling me to see 4 magpies! We hate seeing 1 (for sorrow) but the old saying goes 2 for joy, 3 for a girl, 4 for a boy!!!

Im only 3& a half wks, AF wasnt due til fri. was such a weak line could barely see it, but we knew! Did another one before bed & another this morning which was proper dark! Now DH is at local hospital getting that blood screened & already spoke to Portland so hopefully haveing LIT treatment next tues!!!

AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feel quite sick now! Thanks neeko & cupcake for lovely messages!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Neeko · 22/09/2009 08:52

I saw a rainbow on the way to work this moprning and wondered if it spelled good newws for someone - and it did!

Neeko · 22/09/2009 08:49

OH. MY. GOD. Congratulations, honey!!!!! I'm soooooo pleased for you. Hurrah! Hurrah1 Hurrah!

4everhopeful · 22/09/2009 08:38

Morning lovely ladies! Aw no-one is up yet? I was hoping a few of you would be about cos I just really wanted to let you all know - I'm pregnant!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Neeko · 21/09/2009 20:22

Hi
Mermaid sorry that the witch heard you. Know you weren't technically trying but bet you had a weeble moment anyway. Big hug.

4ever gold star to you for being so good about the training. Now reward yourself with some lovely new shoes.

Blue I'm really supertitious anyway so would have felt that way without what you'd said. I threw away all the clothes I was wearing on the day of the scan when i found out about my lost LO, so you're not alone.

Barbie hope you've had a lovely hug from your mum by now and she understands your reasons. I wouldn't have things in the house with DD until I was about 30 weeks pg (see? -supertitious) so it's not just pg after mc that makes you paranoid.

LBM I'd love to see you trying to explain us to your mum. Mine knows about my MN obsession - though she doesn't understand it - and sometimes asks me what's going on.

Vjay I love reading your little comments about Alex. It gives me a warm glow to hear you sounding so maternally satisfied.

Cupcake Hope the mouth is better now.

I agree with you all that MLS cold get some much needed support on here. Without going into detail she's wobbling quite a bit right now and I feel that some of you lovely ladies who have had recurrent MC could support her in a way I can't. 4ever I'm not sure when she'll be home from holiday, possibly the end of the week, but I'm sure a waiting email would be welcome.

Back to work for me tomorrow, just when I was getting used to being off - ah well

littlebellsmum · 21/09/2009 20:06

Quick post from me as my mums here and as she doens't know about my mc, I can hardly explain you lot now can I!

Cupcake - Neeko is right, one bowl of pasturized stilton soup is not going to cause a problem.
And Cupcake - I'm with you with you an thread looking at what they can buy. Funny story - about 3 months before my first LO's dd, we had a NC type meeting with other new mums to be and the midwife went round askling every couple what they had done for the baby that week - everyone else had done things like ordered prams, chosen bedding. We had to admit to just starting to empty out the spare room so that LO had somewhere to sleep!! Felt very disorganized but everything was done in plenty of time!
Barbie - just tell your mum how you are feeling and she'll understand. She'll probably laugh at you in a nice way ( or is that just me!!)

And mermaid Damm that evil witch.grhhhhhh. But then you won't be on line tonight as you have a date with a large bottle of wine!!

bluesatinsash · 21/09/2009 19:01

Boo mermaid - damn TEW... Hope you enjoyed a lovely pate filled elevenses...

cupcake - hope you've now been sorted by dentist and your ulcer is calming down. There's nothing quite as sore or debiletating as a big fat mouth ulcer - grr. Glad you hear you're feeling emotional and weepy - all good signs!!

Vjay - at you studying - hope your resting too . Hope your still sniffing the top of Alex's head .

Barbie - so with you on not looking at any baby clothes 'til after your scan. Your Mum will totally understand and gives you something to look forward to next week . How long is she over for? Is she going to your scan with you?

Neekosupersiticious - sorry if I am a bad influence , my tempting fate knows no bounds [b;ush]. I won't even go there with the pants I discarded after they became jinxed when I had one of my early bleeds... It does get better after 20 weeks although I won't join an ante-natal as that would be a jinx waiting to happen..

Need to cut this short as DS has climbed up demanding we go to the Lego page.

Sorry for lack of other personals x

p.s. Buddha - hope you're having a lovely holiday - it looked amazing

p.p.s. Happy Eid sabs!

mermaidspurse · 21/09/2009 15:48

omg vjaysuperwoman must be all that adrenalin pumping round your system.

VJay · 21/09/2009 15:39

Thanks to all the kisses and hugs to your cyber nephew

mermaid crappy af . I am still studying at the moment, well trying to, as I have an exam in 3 weeks , then that cousre is done. I'm sure about next year, I might take a break, it all depends on the wee wee man

barbie enjoy having your mum over and hopefully being spoilt , as for the baby stuff I would be the smae as you and not want to look at until after the 20 week scan.

Gotta go Alex is demanding my attention

mermaidspurse · 21/09/2009 15:27

I can understand that totally barbie I think its completely natural to need your man close. Thank goodness your mum is coming to stay. Its a hard one with the clothes, play it by ear I am sure she will understand.

cupcake you just reminded me what a freind said to me when I was expecting ds 'all you need is a bucket' looking back I reckon she was about right Hope your trip to dentist is ok.

barbiebigpants · 21/09/2009 14:28

hi again.... mum arrives in 5 hours, i have loads to do but cant be bothered
I might not be on here as much over the next two weeks but ill lurk and post if and when i can.

My mum is bringing a load of baby stuff over for us....the thing is i dont want to open the case until after the 20 week scan (ungrateful cow emotion) its just too much to lose if it all went wrong what can i say to her so i dont seem ungrateful...or am i?

mermaid when dh used to go away i used to hate it for the first few days and then i got myself into a routine chocolate and tv and i actually quite enjoy the time to myself....i guess this time im scared in case anything happened and he is so far away. Although as 4ever said i have all of you!

cupcake good luck at the dentist...ive been enough in the last few months to last a life time!

neeko i havent even attempted to join ante natal thread for feb...thankfully mm always seems to be on line if im having a wooble or baby question...best of both worlds

cupcakefairy · 21/09/2009 14:20

Hi girls, thanks for your lovely encouragement! Managed to get the afternoon off and work all day tomorrow instead so I am going to the dentist in a few mins. I'm sure I will end up crying in his office I almost did on the phone when they said they could fit me in!

Neeko stick with us. My ante-natal thread are just talking about what stuff they're going to buy for the LOs..way too weird for me. Think I'll just keep one eye on it for now.

4everhopeful · 21/09/2009 12:32

Oooooh Poo Mermaid... I thought some of Barbies psychic intuition rubbed off on me cos it was a strange moment - ah well, back to pantless and carefree for you my lady! (or at least doing a damn good job of 'acting' carefree anyway!) Hope you enjoyed your elevensies & it consisted of pate on toast & brie, washed down with expresso coffee, soon to be followed by a nice glass of rose & a kingsize bar of choc! xx

It is strange trying to pass on my 13yrs of knowledge, I thought I might be a bit begrudging & precious about it, but tbh the girl is v sweet & I feel sorry for her, so am doing my best to give her a good chance & not mess up all my hard work! I will still be a big part of it & she will prob be phoning to check things for the next few years so fingers still v much in the pie!

barbiebigpants · 21/09/2009 12:11

oh bugger....sorry mermaid

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 21/09/2009 11:07

pah - see I just had to open my mouth didn't I? That will teach me and proof that 4 years of habitually thinking you are up the duff doesn't go away very easily. bloody af.

cupcake youch at your poor mouth, hope you have made it to the drs. I think oraldine is meant to be good for ulcers. Nice to see that you are feeling very hormonal though

sabs happy eid, hope you had a great time with all your family around you.

4ever that must be weird teaching someone your job. Thanks for getting a bit excited and apologies for even begining to let you get excited.

barbie a whole month without your dh - now this is where I miss mls cos I know we would both be going yipee alot if it was us Seriously though I hope you are ok and enjoy having your mum to stay - hopefully she will have better weather this time.

vjay give alex a big kiss, are you startig back at college this term or giving it a break for a while?

ohh its elevensies love to all

barbiebigpants · 21/09/2009 10:55

4everhopeful · 21/09/2009 10:35

On a break - Happy Eid to Sabs too - big feast at yours tonight then! Bet DH is looking forward to that!

Hey mummy Vjay young Alex sounds like a solid young man already! Nice to see you popping in!

Neeko scan read & didnt see that MLS may not be back... We would miss her & want to support her through this.. Its a tragic thing, but you can survive & come out the other side & even get your fighting spirit back, Im proof of that... Please pass on our thoughts when you next 'chat', also when is she back from hol cos was gonna mail her..?

VJay · 21/09/2009 10:14

Just wanted to say 'Happy Eid' to sabs and that I remember you talking about it last year , how time flies

Hope you are all ok, mermaid have you tested yet?????

4everhopeful · 21/09/2009 09:07

Big waves & hugs to lovely Neeko! Didnt see your post there sweetie! xxx

Hopefully back at lunchtime! xx

4everhopeful · 21/09/2009 09:05

Morning ladies - Im training the new girl today (handing over my crown!) so wont be able to MN v much!

Sorry for lack of individual posts, but have to say, over the weekend I thought of you all (as I often do) & wondered what news there maybe - no-ones due to test I thought, then I had a strange feeling about mermaid & thought, oh she actually could be pregnant, Im sure shes a week or so before me, I lurked on my pho & sure enough lady thinks shes late!!! Had to share that & Im really excited cos I have a strong feeling!!!!!!!

MLS thanks for passing your message via Neeko, I hope the healing & strength building is slowly begining? One step at a time...

Mrskate already said it - but great news about your scan...!

Hoping I have plenty to add about your situation but not enough time at the mo so will catch up ASAP! I totally relate to the life on hold thing tho... Hang in there tho - wise words from our fellow emmsy weebles!

Barbie dont be lonely - you have us! x

The rest of you - I love you & will catch up soon! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Neeko · 21/09/2009 08:32

Cupcake Oh the hormones, the hormones - suh a good sign! get yourself to the doctor/dentist with your ulcers and he/she'll sort you out. One bowl of stilton soup does not a nightmare make! The stilton will have been cooked so rsk is minimal and you'll know not to do that again.
FWIW my diet has been dreadful in the 1st trimester because all I've wanted are carbs and I've had hardly any fruit and veg. That's all passsing now and I've been taking my pg vitamins so I'm sure it'll all be fine.

I'm afraid the pg after MC roller coaster is the most terifying one you'll ever face and the hormones are much worse than with a "normal" pregnancy. On the plus side, you're strong, you have us to support you and you're growing a beautiful little bean so it's all worth it.

P.S. I don't like my antenatal thread either, as it all seems so simple for most of them but I feel I have to keep posting or I'll jinx my baby

Hope everyone else is ok.

cupcakefairy · 20/09/2009 19:17

Evening lovelies
Barbie I loved your Jerry Springer moment; beautiful words
Neeko that makes me so sad MLS might not be back. Like you I of course understand but she would be so terribly terribly missed

Having a bit of a wobble myself this weekend. Aforementioned mouth ulcer has become massive gum swelling & I literally can't eat anything dh has been puree-ing my food for me but I can barely even swallow it & feel like a really bad mummy now cos I'm not eating properly. Plus I took paracetamol last night cos I couldn't get to sleep from the pain
He went to get me some nice soup today & after a bowl & a half I realised it was stilton and just burst into tears at the table feeling very pathetic and like I'm doing everything wrong.
Meh...sorry for me me me... my ante-natal thread is moving at the speed of light and would much rather hang with you girls anyway.

Kate huge congratulations on scan.
Can't believe Gracie's 20 week scan is next week! How time flies. Hope she pops back in to update us on the good news

Oh and finally, if you're feeling tearful, don't go and see Away We Go as you will sob! It's a beautiful film but some v bits about lost LOs and just family in general...

barbiebigpants · 20/09/2009 16:43
