Morning all! Just thought I'd type out the full text from Sabs so everyone gets all the information.

"After 38 hours of labour, which was unsucesssful, I had to have an emergency C-Section. We have been blessed with a 9 pounds baby girl, born at 7:52pm on 30th Sept. I'm not allowed visitors as I have some sort of balloon in my uterus to absorb blood clots and have not been moved to the post natal ward. Have lost a lot of blood. Can someone post on MN please."

Poor Sabs, sounds like she had a rough time and will be in hospital for a while.

Curly's having a girl! yay!!

*Barbie's scan is at 1pm UK time and she said she'd be about an hour.

Blue sounds like a worrying day you had yesterday. Pleased to hear everything ok though.

Iggy good list, though it needs Sabs baby girl on there now.

Cupcake try not to worry about those twinges, perfectly normal (easy for me to say I know).

Big waves to MLS and Moon.

CurlyBigPants · 01/10/2009 00:06

Our first cyber niece!! Hurrah.

Congrats to you and your DH, Sabs - hope you are resting well!

littlebellsmum is so chuffed that she got to announce something!!

littlebellsmum · 30/09/2009 22:52

Evening all!
Curly a girl!! Lovely,we need a cyber niece now to marry off to the cyber nephews in later life! Speak to your consultant - if he is OK and you are happy, take his advice. If not, cry off, the baby and your sanity is more important. Just remember that pregnant women fly all the time!
Cupcake I've had similar pains in earlg prg too - sure it's fine
What a day blue but not all bad as you got an extra scan!

Aaah lovely About time we had a girl on here to even things up

Blue - hope you have your feet up now and a nice calming glass of some pretend alcohol.

Barbie - thinking of you tomorrow and hoping for lovely news of Sabs

Am back home after my manic 3 days. Suspect tomorrow will be another whirlwind, but normality should return after that and I'll catch up properly

Been working since I got off the M25 car park and into my house at 6.30 - now off to bed - shattered !!

CurlyBigPants · 30/09/2009 21:42

One more and frantic hyper burd is off to bed, good luck tomorrow barbie I'll be thinking of you and holding your hand xxx

CurlyBigPants · 30/09/2009 21:40

Just reading back on posts and I wish I could keep up. I've a yuck day at work tomorrow but when I eventually get home I am going to catch up properly with everyone's news and hopefully I'll have calmed down a bit by then

Big hugs in the meantime to everyone especially mls and moon and anyone having a hard time at the moment xxx

CurlyBigPants · 30/09/2009 21:30

blue you poor love what a nervewracking day. It's lovely to hear that baby is 3lbs already though Hope that your heart has stopped racing and that you can relax a bit.

Thanks for all the good wishes for my scan. It went great today but now I am in full scale freaking out mode. They said my placenta was lying low which apparently is very common in the first trimester but usually sorts itself out before 20 weeks (barbie is this what you have?). They didn't seem worried and just booked me in for a scan at 34 weeks to make sure it has moved. Otherwise I have to get a csection. Thing is I made the mistake of googling whether it is safe to fly to California next week (work trip) and although the consultant was fine with it before, I've been reading that I could bleed to death on the flight and shouldn't risk it. What do I do? I guess I have to talk to the doctor. Does anyone know anything about this?

Sorry to be so me me me

by the way (and this is the nice bit) it's a girl

oh my god have just taken it in that sabs is in labour!!! Any news???

bluesatinsash · 30/09/2009 20:31

Oooh, how exciting for Sabs, she may be staring at her lo as I type .

Barbie - only one more sleep. Sorry you had a crap day at work but it does keep your mind busy...

cupcake - I was the same re: scans at important times - one of my reassurance ones was two days before DS's birthday and my last mc had been two days before his xmas so you can imagine my anxiety levels!! You twinges are absolutely normal for this stage in pg so try not too worry, small steps every day .

Neeko - how are you this week after your EDD?

I had a bit of an eventful afternoon. Midwife appointment went well, BP still nice and low, urine OK, baby's head down but heartbeat sounded a little irregular on the doppler so I was sent to hospital for trace - you can imagine how calm I was on the 20 minute drive to Stirling... Anyway, was whisked to see consultant who monitored me and said immediately that hb was absolutely fine and nothing to worry about. I could have kissed him but decided to burst into tears instead . Just to be sure they scanned me too to look at heart and again all OK. Got to see baby's face and he/she looks very like DS! Baby also weighing 3lbs already and still one week larger than my dates.

My relief was palpable but my anxiety setting has gone back up a notch to defcom three..

Its exhausting this pg malarky isn't it...

cupcakefairy · 30/09/2009 20:07

OOH yay!!!! that's so exciting!!

It has been sooo quiet today where are you all?

Aw, gracie I'll forgive the lack of bump pic then but show us when you do get one!

Curly hope all was fine today

Barbie thinking of you for tomorrow..you'll be throwing that sand away!

Iggy love the list nice work.

Where has our annie disappeared to? Did I miss that she was going on holiday or something? Hope you're ok anyway if you're reading

GracieGirl · 30/09/2009 18:22

Quick post to wish Curly luck and say hi to everyone else. at Gracie having no bump yet. You're obviously one of those women who just looks like they are hiding a football up their jumper at 9 months, while I look like a Teletubby or two

GracieGirl · 30/09/2009 07:33

Morning! Just a very quick post to say thinking of Curly for her scan today.

I'm running late for work as had a nosebleed this morning and didn't want to put the only blouse that still fits me on before it stopped!

Cupcake I don't have a bump! I've just filled out a little around my belly but not enough for anyone but me to notice! I have a photo of me on the beach last week in a bikini and there's nothing to see!

cupcakefairy · 29/09/2009 22:38

Ooh ooh and Lion what about Freddie for our little cub... adore the name myself but can't use it cos it's BIL's name...
