Jools I'm sorry. That's really tough Maybe you can try discussing it again in a few weeks? Sorry - I know that's pretty lame advice. Sending you a big hug in the absence of any better advice.

Joolsiam · 14/10/2009 16:20

Iggy - snap - I've noticed this 2WW, all the while knowing there is no way on this earth that I was PG:

1 - Enlarge boobs and sore nipples
2 - Constipation - makes me think it is a symptom every cycle but is obviously a cd 25 - 28 "thing" for me
3- Yes, feeling sick - on Monday, day before AF arrived, I felt really really queasy.

Not OK about not TTC, but also now aware of how obsessed I've been, even when trying to hide it from DP, and he has made me realise what a turn-off it must be. He said he doesn't think he could go through a third MC - I was astounded - he'd never said anything like it before and I still don't really know any more about his feelings cos he's a bloke and won't talk about it.

I have a stark choice - respect his feelings and consider remaining childless but keeping a good friend and partner, or split up and hope I meet someone I can have babies with before my eggs shrivel up and die. I'm worried I'm going to be bitter and twisted and blame him for my childless state . Don't know what to do really, so am burying my head in the sand, being busy at work and hoping this will all sort itself out and I will wake up PG one day - I'm sure he'll be a great father - he's just scared of the bits in-between and worries he is too old at 44

Neeko · 14/10/2009 16:20

Hello. Lol at us all with our excuses for why we don't post as much I guess all that matters is that we're here for one another when it counts.

Jools Really sorry to hear that your DP has changed his mind. I hope he's just worried about how upsetting it has all been for you and that a few glasses of wine and your basque will persuade him otherwise It must be really hard for them to see us hurting and by refusing to try he can protect you.

Blue so jealous at you sitting on your couch when I can only gaze adoringly at mine and can't even smell it through the plastic! Glad your DS didn't take ill. My nephew (8 months) has been really ill since Saturday. Such a shame when they're so wee.

Mermaid Stop browsing and buy! And if the commando stuff results in a surprise BFP it'll be really easy to wipe the baby puke off it!

iggy One way or another 2010 will be your year, lovely. Don't work too hard.

Cupcake That's just cruel of your DH. Get him told that you'll turn into hormonal she-devil if he doesn't stop I miss pate far more than stinky cheese.

4ever Hope you're cosy in the cottonwool and still smiling through the sickness.

LBM Come back! We have questions once your ears are no longer blocked with sand.

Barbie How are you feeling today?

Moon hang on in there. It all gets better when the witch goes. You too BQ

I bought some wedge boots from Next. Not the most glamorous but at least I won't fall off them I also got new bras and was to discover I'm a whopping FF cup. At this rate I'll need two parachutes come March!

iggypiggy · 14/10/2009 14:54

hi all...

spooky cycle synchronicity is odd...

moon so sorry you CD1 too - I know only too weel what it is like to be almost certain you are pregnant and then have AF turn up. I came to the conculsion a month or so ago that one of two possible things happens:

either we are more sensitive to hormonal changes after an mc... I always feel sick before AF now... or it's just that I notice it more now... whatever the reason - it just makes it all really shite.

jools glad to see you post - but sorry to read your comments about DP not wanting to ttc. Hope you are ok. x

mermaid I had a sandwich with blue brie today - pleasing

blue you are right people move on and RL takes over - I also find too much posting on here is bad for my obsessions...

cupcake your DH must not tease you with Brie like that

neeko am having plenty of choc and wine (separately!) Hope you get some lovely boots - I love shoe shopping.

barbie you're lovely. don't do too much ante natal yoga - sounds too energetic!

Right - hi to everyone else. i must do some work.

pregnant girl at work goes on Mat leave from today (she is the one with an EDD v. close to when mine would have been). Am stragely all ok about it.

At the moment I think my brain is trying to tell me to chill and am feeling ok about kind of giving up ttc for a few months and thinking about it again in the new year. 2009 hasn't been a great year for us (and for many family and friends for some reason) so I feel like 2010 is my year, not this one.

Am going to be busy at work for a few weeks, but will try to post when I can.

xxx

mermaidspurse · 14/10/2009 13:44

ha yes I was thinking that you would have made a little nest in one corner coccooned within dressing gown, bed socks and hot toddy hot chocolate.

vjay hope you have had a great time showing off Alex and good luck for the exam. Forgot to say that the other day.

bluesatinsash · 14/10/2009 13:00

Hey mermaid brie muncher. Sorry AF has arrived but there is a spooky synchronicity with four of us on CD1 .... and Halloween is just aorund the corner too...

Funny you should ask as I was always put off buying a leather couch in case it was cold but ours is lovely although I'm head to toe in my dressing gown/bed socks every evening so no part of my skin is against the leather . and I'm a bit weird but don't sit on it during the day, I sit on my chair over by my bookshelf instead - ai we all have our wee foibles . LOL at your auntie keeping hers wrapped up.

mermaidspurse · 14/10/2009 12:26

afternoon.
cd1 for me today just so I know where I am, flick hair kick cat look for brie in the fridge so yes we are nearly all in tandem.

jools it is so hard to stop mentally obsessing. I so understand the feeling bad about taking folic acid. I am really hoping that the rule of sod will work some magic on your other half.

blue there must be something in the air about chocloate leather sofas yum. But I need to ask before I carry on 'just looking' do you find them cold?

I sometimes look in on the thread and think I can't post cos I only posted a while ago paranoia too. But I have got a shed more work done in the last few weeks

neeko glad your dd is feeling better and you took me back to being about 8 visiting some ancient great aunts who had their entire suite enclosed in plastic all the time so it stayed clean

bluesatinsash · 14/10/2009 10:20

Morning All,

Moon and Iggy - so AF turned up - ...

Jools - really vexed to read your post about giving up ttc but you sound more positive this morning . Hope you and your DP are talking things through and supporting each others dreams.

Neeko - we got a new couch two weeks ago and are stil sniffing it - Brown leather from M&S and its gorgeous. Feel v. posh sitting on it of an evening and finally banished my 'single girl flat' cream IKEA one to the family/toy room... Glad to hear your DD is back to fighting cheeky form . DS is grand too, must just have been a bit tired in a Monday morning way that day...

4ever - hope your lurking under your cotton wool and enjoying just chilling. The sickness is just the pits, but is reassuring so not all bad and it WILL pass.

cupcake - just noticed my SIL is on your ante-natal thread (no names no pact drill!).

Barbie - not long now til your DH is home and takes over dog walking duties . How did the wedding shopping go with your friend? One of my bridesmaid's just got engaged and is getting married next July so I'm taking her round the shop just before xmas which will be all lovely and festive. I also have an incentive to lose the baby weight and get a killer outfit .

I've been to see the thread getting quieter too. I sometimes don't post as feel I've just posted the day before and folk will read and go oh no not Blue again! We miss the chatterboxes like lovely MLS and Gracie used to be on here regularly but then she was off her work for a few weeks...

I guess its just human nature as we move through medium/big pantsville and the rawness of mc gets further away, the need to post gets lesser for some and RL takes over again, which is healthy but as we have/had a lovely wee community on here.

I am rambling now so will be back to work and earn my keep .

Hi girls. Sorry for the quietness...I'm not on as much cos I'm shattered in the evenings and can barely turn the computer on!
What's happened to our Gracie aswell? Hope she's ok.

Hi Jools glad you're still keeping an eye on us so sooo sorry to you, and iggy and Moon properly gutted for you all. I definitely concur with cocktails!
Also, BRIE! Eat a huge hunk of it on a cracker for me cos I miss it soooo much. DH bought himself some lovely gooey brie and went on about how amazing it was all evening the other day. Hmph.
Seriously though, am sorry (and Moon you're far from selfish!!)

Neeko I love new stuff too! How exciting! And so cute your dd wanting you to keep holding the baby... does she know about Neekobean yet?? Thanks for the MLS update, send my love.

Hi 4ever glad the vomiting has eased a bit but yes, keep those feet up!!

Right, definitely time for bed for me... might just toddle off to find the list first though...

Joolsiam · 13/10/2009 20:43

CD1 here too - we are all in synch !! (not that I'm counting of course, cos that would imply I have a DP that actually wants to make a baby )

I haven't even taken folic acid for days - feels naughty. It is interesting not being on a 2WW and noticing all those symptoms that would have had me jumping for joy and knowing they are not pg symptoms

Good things come in threes - maybe I'll "accidentally" seduce DP at the right time and we'll all be up the duff in 4 weeks time - now wouldn't that be a great 40th birthday present !!

Neeko · 13/10/2009 20:31

Meant to say MLS sends her love. It doesn't sound like this is going to be her month either but she asked me to send her congrats to 4ever and LBM

Maybe she's the reson why the thread's so quiet. She's potty training her DD too, which would have been good for a few funny stories...

Ok, I've posted 3 times tonight so I'm doing my best to keep the totals up.

Neeko · 13/10/2009 20:28

Oh Moon I'm sorry. I really thought you were in for a good result this month as I'm sure you did too. Big hug from me. Be nice to yourself and try to do a little list of reasons why it's a good thing.

  1. You could throw a very drunken and wild halloween party with lethal cocktails.

Ok, I know it's not much help, but I'm trying.

BlueMoon1981 · 13/10/2009 20:16

iggy im cd1 again too

4ever for your little bean

and lbm wow congrats!

feeling very low so not staying, please forgive me for being selfish and just lurking for a while

Neeko · 13/10/2009 20:11

Hi
I miss the busy thread too. I'm guilty of not posting as often as I used to due to Big Brother watching me at work. Unfortunately we all seem to be so much busier than we were a few months ago - not sure about this work ethic malarkey

Iggy Really sorry she got you. Hope you're ok and it won't be long for you. I know you're fed up hearing that but one time I'll be right Please be nice to yourself and have some chocolate and a BIG glass of wine.

New sofa arrived today but DH insists it has to stay wrapped up until the room is finished which probably won't be until weekend after this one I don't know about the rest of you but I LOOOVE new things and can never wait to use them so this will kill me

DD back to full health today as she was being cheeky and annoying the klife out of her daddy. Hee hee. It means she left me alone.

I'm off to Glasgow shopping tomorrow on the quest for bump and balance friendly winter boots.

barbie1 · 13/10/2009 18:26

new year whoops!

barbie1 · 13/10/2009 18:25

Hope everyone is ok, i miss the busy thread

iggypiggy · 13/10/2009 18:18

Hey 4ever so pleased for you.

Am thinking the lack of posting is cos there aren't many of us left who aren't pregnant

Am CD 1 again and is rubbish, but am not too miserable.

4everhopeful · 13/10/2009 16:38

Neeko · 13/10/2009 08:50

Morning Jools Glad to hear from you. Chin up, lovely.

Neeko · 13/10/2009 08:49

Morning.

YEEEEHAAAR! (as Jessie from Toy Story 2 would say) to LBM so pleased for you and can't believe you've suspected for a while and told no one! Naughty girl No wonder you've been back on here so much - we must have been subconsciously helping Take care and try not to worry about the spoting

4ever Hello Mrs1sthurdlepassed Hope you and your lovely DH slept well last night and you are currently still cosied up in bed. Your bean must know that there are simply hundreds of people willing it along every step of the way.

Joolsiam · 13/10/2009 08:44

eek - dropped off "threads I'm on" again ...

Busy busy at work, internet connection very bad at home but I do lurk from time to see how you lot are getting on. So, glad to hear good news from 4Ever and many congratulations LBM

am trying to get used to the concept of giving up on TTC, so staying away and trying to fill my mind with other things - if anyone next updates the list, would you mind sticking me in the commando section ?

littlebellsmum · 12/10/2009 22:16

Thank you lovely ladies! I'm not really stressed about the spotting, but then I'm not letting myself get excited about being pregnant either! I know at least three of you here had spotting and either have a baby ( Vjay) or are well on your way, so it may be ok.

Anyway, back to put head in sand!

cupcakefairy · 12/10/2009 21:26

Evening lovelies

LBM YES!! We needed new blood on the medium pants bench welcome! You're only about a week behind me, how exciting

4ever just so pleased for you. First hurdle well cleared. Glad the symptoms are back and hope you start to get more energy! I've been getting af-type pains today which I don't like one bit.

bq so so sorry I am truly gutted for you. Totally understand your need to stay away a bit, you must be blue

iggy sorry tew is playing tricks on you and you got BFN rubbish... you sound very zen though.

Neeko how horrible for your friends so sorry. Did anyone see that Cilla Black interview on tv the other day? She talked about losing her daughter at 27wks and it was so sad she said you just never get over that.

Curly glad you are safely over in the US of A! Hope you're not too tired lovely. Oooh X Factor is so good.. Danyl sang a song with a reference to loving a girl in it & Dannii Minogue made some comment about 'if the press is to be believed you used the wrong gender reference.' she's had a lot of media stick for it, it was just so inappropriate and cringy. Meh.

Buddha so so sorry about the disheartening job search. Know how you feel my dh was given his official 4 wks notice today..all just so uncertain and horrible

By the way have invited a couple of girls over from my AN thread who have miscarried but don't know if they'll take me up on it...
