Thankyou for the welcome stac and fairy, it seems like im in the same boat at eveyone on here so i hope you dont mind me sticking around.

Stac its good that your still around to give the ladies advice, two years is a long time trying for a baby especially as so many people get pregnant within a few months, i thought i would be pregnant within a few months after coming off the pill, didnt realise how difficult it would be, it really does take the fun out of BDing.

congratulations popsy you must be so happy.

Fairygodmother1 · 24/01/2010 17:30

You have to be on the same CD as me for it to work... lol

Was typing as you were posting stac.
Hubby is thrilled, his face was a picture. An image i'll never forget. Although he does say mine must have been close and my voice was unbelievable! Not sure exactly what i was doing
DS is 13yrs. We have decided not to tell him yet. He was devastated after i lost his brother, i couldn't bear to see him in pain again. Not going to tell anyone till i've been and had my internal scan at fertility clinic.
When did you tell people Stac?

oops forgot to say fairy, glad things are better with DH. Hope he has replaced your choccie?

Fairygodmother1 · 24/01/2010 17:16

Venetia2 · 24/01/2010 16:14

Congratulations Popsy.

Haven't had a minute to catch up all weekend, so please now I am having a quiet 5 minutes with a cup of tea to see your news!

I have horrible double standards about this kind of thing, two minutes ago I was having a tantrum about a friend getting pregnant at the drop of a hat and now I am beaming my head off because you are. Somehow people who haven't had it easy "deserve" it more. I agree with Kiwi too, it does give me hope when someone gets a BFP.

Fairy just read the whole DH and Chocolate thing-I am VERY possessive of mine! Glad it seems to be defrosting a bit for you now. Hope the swabs go OK.

Clure the party sounds great-you must be shattered though?

Hi Stac Jobo and everyone else, hope you all had a good weekend.

First day of new job tomorrow-trying to make a good impression (not show the Clomid mood swings and crying in the toilets bit anyhow!), any suggestions how exactly I do this?

We will all get pregnant babydust.....

KiwiKat · 24/01/2010 15:26

Splendid news, Popsy! Love it each time one of us has this news to share - means there's hope for ME!

Fairygodmother1 · 24/01/2010 15:25

Clure yeah I guess we'er made up. We talking to each other. He thinks I should get the test done tomorrow & I think a bit of BDing might get us back on track & might be the night to get PG. I don't think I'm actually ovulating till Thursday but could be before.

Glad DD had a fantastic time. I do love kid's parties.

Sunk in yet pops?

Lots of we will all get pregnant baby dust ***

Clure · 24/01/2010 14:56

wowwwwwweeeeee well done and congratulations to you popsy. That is so fantastic, knew we were due another bfp here. You must be over the moon

fairy - I would do the bd and re-schedule your nurses appointment. I have to say I don;t remember being told not to bd but there again my "fertile" times were non-existant anyway! Hope you and DD have made up. This ttc is such a strain. take care

stac and jobo - hi hoping you are having a good weekend, its good to relax isn't it? Dd's party was hilarious. She had a great time, it was totally manic. We had a little girl who sat in the party room and wondered why her food wasn't being served, only then did we realise she wasn't one of our party but had wandered in from someone elses. Also had two other friends of a little girl from DD's class who were older (and happened to be at the play centre) and expected that they could come and have party food and face painted even though they were not invited. DD very tired, she had pink and orange paint crusted in her eyebrows, sweaty and worn out! we were a bit tired too! We took here out for a lovely walk and duck feeding/horse watching etc and we are now going to watch a disney movie with popcorn before doing a little birthday tea (as she is at school tomorrow when its her actual birthday)

now I'm wishing you all peanut brittle babydust xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
and we WILL all get there xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 24/01/2010 12:20

Oh popsy that is fantastic news! I am so delighted for you - see, they come in threes!! Such good news.

fairy how do you mean you are on your fertile period - are you going by cm or what? If its cm it sharts showing up 4-5 days before you ovulate, so you've got time. Either that or you change your appointment for a weeks time when you're past ovulation?

Right - heres to the next lot of things-come-in threes babydust xxx

popsy1 · 24/01/2010 11:15

Morning all.
Glad things are less frosty Fairy. Hope you have a better day today. Re. your Fertile time, i don't know for certain but i think i would anyway Or you could wait til tomorrow and ask the nurse? Sorry, not much help.

Well ladies, i decided to test this morning. Woke up at 6:30 thinking shall i or not? Woke hubby and he said we need to know one way or another! So i tested and got a BFP we cant believe it. 3+ on a digital pg test
We were tempted to give the clomid a miss last month. I was sooooo close to giving up. Thank god i didnt Wonder if its the metformin? Or reflexology? or Clomid? Maybe all of them.
Thank you soooo much ladies. You have been an amazing support over the last few months. Love you all loads))

Fairygodmother1 · 24/01/2010 09:26

Morning,

Less frosty here. He's still asleep so I don't know the full extent of my trying to make it alright.

I'm a bit of a dilemma - I think I'm on the fertile period - the thing is I have my swab being done tomorrow so shouldn't BD - what do I do??????

stac14 · 23/01/2010 21:19

hey popsy i'm ok thanks, been thinking of you hun, how are you feeling? I used to struggle with testing too which is why the nurse surprised me with a positive test. Best to wait till your ready chick

fairy my dp is the least stubborn person its usually me that keeps things going and I tend to feel its hard to make the first move lol. We were thinking about a short break in September but apart from being skint the baby will be to young I feel. The only holidays I will be getting will be a day trip to the seaside. Maybe you should try to make half term a time when you shut yourselves away in the house, ignoring calls or visiting people just make some time for you and dh.

I am sure you will fairy
Take care hun

xx

Fairygodmother1 · 23/01/2010 21:03

No not usually stubborn. But when we argue he always makes me feel like I'm the one in the wrong & that its so hard on him! I think maybe it is the clomid but a tough week has really just got to me.
I would quite happily go away in England. My friend has offered that we go stay with them in the half term but we can't even afford the coach fare!!! How sad is that?

Hope we can sort it out tonight...

I'm with - I-will-get-pregnant babydust

popsy1 · 23/01/2010 20:54

Is he normally stubborn fairy? Maybe you could waffle about how rubbish the telly is?
I know what you mean though, i think i've read more on this than anything!Yep also in need of a holiday, somewhere hot and i can lie by the pool all day Keep putting off booking for this year, depending on the outcome of the next 3 months. Going away (in England) at half term for a few days to give us a lttle break.

Hi jo i'm ok thanks. Had a few moments this weekend but they past quite quickly. Went to visit and lay some flowers and DH and i reflected on the last year so much has changed.
How did the party go Clure? Did you survive? My Ds is planning his already, it isn't til May!!!
Hows you stac?

Hello to everyone else, hope you've had a good weekend so far.

Decided not to test today.
I'm in total agreement we ALL will get pregnant baby dust

stac14 · 23/01/2010 20:46

Hey fairy hun how you feeling now? Think it is hard for the men too but feels much worse to us as its our bodies that are going through it, even at the moment dp is getting it in the neck between mood swings and panic attacks lol

jo your so right about men being boys lol I am fien thanks, pretty knackered as ds woke me up at 4.45 to ask me the time so I tossed and turned for the rest of the night could have happily choked him lol Hows things with you? loving the mantra, should be the daily chant for this thread

clure how did the party go? are you tired too?

I think DH might be having his monthly or just being a little stobborn kid!!!

I know what you mean about being so determind. A friend of mine said the other day that it's nature's way of making sure that this is really what you want. I've never wanted something so much! I've never fought harder or read so much about. I know I def never put this much into my degree (prob why I only got 2:2hons). I think the cons could see how much we want this which was why he#s strated the ball rolling with IVF.

In all honesty what we need is a holiday but we've no money to go anywhere (still aint had our honeymoon yet & we've been married 8 months today!)
