Hi all. Hows everyone doing???im on day 14 now ovulated thismorning like clockwork...fingers and toes crossed that this is our month!!!!

popsy1 · 26/01/2010 21:34

fairy that's awful. Hope you get it sorted. Have you got an itemised bill? Don't give up Hun. I felt like you. I got into such a state, wasn't much fun to be around to be honest & was stressed all the time. Was convinced it wasn't going to happen. It will happen for you. I'm convinced of it. You've been a good luck charm for stac and me, now it's our turn.
deb how come they are leaving you to it after the next 3 months worth?

How's everyone else?
Xxxx

stac14 · 26/01/2010 21:04

i've got to the stage where i just think, f**k it if its not broke me its made me stronger. I had lots of stuff with bt before too and end up throwing a hissy fit with them on the phone, no doubt after what you went through you have done the same. You know you will get your dream to be a mum unfortunately for us it just takes longer, cheer up hun xx

Really don't know. Got to wait to get a reply about the scans. Give a week & I'll start chasing the depts.
I just think today is just another think adding to the pile. Still not the straw that broke the camels back yet so thats something to be thankful for!

stac14 · 26/01/2010 20:40

fairy I got to the stage I thought it would never happen and cliche though it may sound its exactly when it did hun. Sometimes you have to relax a bit dont think of this as your last month of clomid but as the start of your baby journey. When the ivf start? xxx

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 26/01/2010 20:35

stac I just can't believe my luck!!!!

Seriously - the cr*p going on in my life at the moment is just unbelieveable! Thats why I'm really starting to struggle that we'll have a baby. I'm starting to lose sight of the dream of being a mummy!

stac14 · 26/01/2010 20:21

omg fairy thats a disgrace hun your so right to make them investigate, bloody buggers no wonder your angry

debi it surprises me that they told you, you could only have another 3 months of clomid, how long have you had it? Many women take it for up to a year with no problems with ovarian hyperstimulation. I'm not saying it wouldnt happen just that its not very common. You could ask for the metformin like popsy and I had. Have they told you the next steps after clomid? xxx

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 26/01/2010 20:14

Deb - I thought that was caused by IVF drugs not clomid! You learn something new. How do you feel about being left to it? Would you ask for a 2nd opinion?

Carebear CD13 here.

Hi all - how's everyone?

I'm fuming thats I'd love to put loads of colourful words with lots of ***!!!!
BT informed me I had a £500 phone bill which totally shocked me. I wondered why they had taken £300 out of my account! We hardly ever use the landline as I have unlimited texts so everyone gets texted!
I investigated to find that someone has been using my line to phone sex lines, hospital beds (patient line), and international calls. BT reckon it's someone in my household (only DH & me here)!!! Got them investigating the line & will refuse it pay it!!

can you believe that this sort of thing happens in this day & age.

AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!! can my luck get any worse????????? So much for the 6 magpies I saw today!

Hi there ladies
Sorry I didnt write post yesterday after I had been to see my consultant or should I say his little helper she was nice enough but would of been nice to see the con.
She would not give me anymore than another 3 mmonths clomid (still have 2 months here)Was told I wouldnt need to go back too and to let nature take its course after this time. Was a little sad but then she went on to say........taking clomid can cause Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome. I have just googled it...prob best if you want to know more to have a read because if I try to tell you all ill prob mash your heads (more than it is now lol )
Hope your all well TC

Hi all,
Just checking in quickly to say hello.

Sounds like a lot you you are still under the weather with the cold/flu thing.

First two days in new job were OK, managed to conceal Clomid induced craziness pretty well (I think).

Hope I will be so preoccupied with the job I will stop being obsessed with what day I'm on, if there are any hopeful signs etc etc. Should really know better after 38 odd months but oh well.

Scan tomorrow even though its only CD 10, hopefully there will be something to see....

Positive thoughts baby dust

CareBear1 · 26/01/2010 12:07

Hi all,
Fairy what day you on hun? its 21 for me and think i should be going to get blood test but have come down with cold/flu and feel totally rubbish and don't want to go anywhere - think it'll be a problem anyone? Clure gutted about the soup! how annoying. Popsy thanks for info about reflexology, think I will look into it. am sure this flu is partly because of the stress etc.

positive vibes to all and honey and lemon fairy dust. x x x

stac14 · 26/01/2010 08:16

hey popsy yeah my gp told me to stop it, said it had served its purpose lol x

OP posts:
popsy1 · 26/01/2010 08:06

Cheers stac going to give the drs at ring at lunchtime and see what they suggest. Did you stop the metformin when you had a bfp?
Thanks for your advice. Xx

stac14 · 25/01/2010 22:18

sorry popsy didnt see your post till just then, my gp referred me to my preferred hospital and they sent out a letter but I ended up having to go earlier than the appointment they gave me due to having an underactive thyroid. My first booking apointment was when I was 12+4 which is when they scanned, took bloods, information and urine test. When do you go to the docs for confirmation? They will be able to tell you when you should get sorted. But if your booking with the mw then maybe you should do it sooner hun xxx

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 25/01/2010 21:26

Aww Clure What a rubbishy evening (except for the excitement of smarties b'day cake & presents).
I'm just off to bed as been writing a numeracy plan for like an hour & doing a smartfile. they look good but take forever to get up and running!!!

Take it easy with that back

xxx

Clure · 25/01/2010 21:01

hi

annoyed, haven't managed to do my pump class as my back is too sore when I bend, anyway just sat down with my lovely bowl of hot homemade soup (grub - on a tray in front of telly) and the bloody bowl slid along the tray onto my lap. apart from burned leg it went all over my clothes, sofa etc. Spent 20 mins cleaning up, soup went cold. So I'm here now venting...so sorry

Other than that DD has had a lovely birthday and collected her early to come home and open prezzies and play however she still hyped up on chocolate smartie cake and is tossing and turning in be despite goind to bed over hour and half ago

becky - hope you feeling better
hi to all must go and get a hot pack on my back xxxxxxxxxxxx

popsy1 · 25/01/2010 20:56

stac When did you have your first midwife appointment? Do you think I should book one or what til after I've had this scan? Getting in abit of a panic!!

stac14 · 25/01/2010 20:47

yeah us to fairy lol

popsy we get offered a 20 week scan on nhs for anomilies so I havent went for any private scans. I am tempted to get the 3d scan but not sure yet.

Totally agree its freezing, my cars just taken a flat tyre and the valve cap is stuck on aarrgghh, well it is for dp

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 25/01/2010 20:16

Big Hugs becky it's doing the rounds. Thank god I only had flu - even if it has been months.

Thanks Stac a little bit of home. Just watching it now on GOLD!

Pops I have a feeling that when my time comes & I finally get pg I wont get an early scan either. Surely we should have a right to one seen as we are more in need I feel! But again we get left out in the cold after our struggle.

Yes I totally agree is blinking cold again - worse than when the snow was here!

popsy1 · 25/01/2010 20:16

Hiya Stac think we are gunna wait for the early scan. I'm only getting one because thats how our fertility hospital works. Not sure if i should make a midwife appointmnet or not? Definatley having the private nuchal scan this time around, after what happened before.

Clure my ds is 13 and i cant believe how fast time has gone, he is so independant now.

Yep us as well fairy still makes me giggle.
