Hi all,
Carebear sorry to hear you've been feeling ill too, I'm feeling almost back to normal. Been back at work 2 days now but am a little tired when I get home.
DP is taking me out tonight for a meal, wonder if he's after something .
How is everyone else?
I've been getting cramps like I do when ovulating but when I do an ovulation test strip, it's negative not sure what that means but been bedding as much as possible just in case .
I'm still not sure of CM changes and what I'm supposed to be looking for, any advise greatly appreciated.
Good luck to all ttc xxx

Hi ya FGI Friday!!!!

carebear gotta keep smiling or I'll be crying all the time! DH wants to try foot massage using your link!

stac we know what is going to happen but not whether we'll keep our jobs basically. What will be will be. I'm beginning to think I'm not preg because someone up there knew that this was gonna happen...prob not but trying to be positive(ish)!

Claire know what you mean about being mechanical - I'm worried we didn't do it enough those few days I think I was most fertile!

Deb retail therapy is always good...

Hi All,

Fairy, how u feeling hon r u still managing to keep smiling through all this?

Ladybird, we only manage about twice a week a lot of months too and have wondered whether that's a factor - there's confusing advice on the web though, some places say go for it daily during the most fertile period and others every other day - have tried both on some months but hard to keep the momentum up sometimes, other life stuff can take over hey.

Attila, you give such good advice and obviously dont take any c**p, wish I could take you with me to my next cons appt! (I will in spirit)

Beckylou are you feeling completely better? I've been off with flu this week and only just feeling normal again today. Think stress at work as well as stress with ttc for the 29th month has taken its toll.

Venetia, ClaireBear, Debbiecemmy, Clure and
Claire Bear, Debbicemmy2, Yummymummy, Beckylou and everyone else I've missed hope you are all managing to keep positive.

I was so fuzzy headed that think I posted earlier this week i was cd 21 which i'm not at all, today is cd 16 so i'm about the same as a few of you - fairy dust to us all this will be the month!

After Popsy saying how reflexology really helped her i was looking into it and near me its about £50 a pop which i can't really afford but i found this website which gives free hand and feet charts showing which parts are linked to fallopian tubes etc. Not sure if any of you may have already seen this but it cheered me up and have been rubbing the tops of my feet a lot! think this is my 'this month will be different because....' reason for this month!

www.dorlingkindersley-uk.co.uk/static/cs/uk/11/features/reflexology/extract.html

fondant fancy fairy dust. hmm, sugary cakes.....does anyone else think the high number of sugar lovers on this message board and high number of pcos'ers is linked?!!

clairebear88 · 29/01/2010 13:08

Hi all

I havent been on for a while and just trying to catch up with al the goss.
Congrats popsy on your bfp. Please stay on and let us know your progress its so good to have positives on here.

I finished clomid in Nov and am trying to lost 2 stone so I can get put on the list for IUI. Its so good being off the tabs as they really mucked my emotions up and everyting is starting to get back to normal. I feel so much more relaxed and not like a manic woman even though I am still concerned I wont ever be a mummy. Im 33 in March and every year the ticking from my body clock seems to get louder. I am on cd14 and have been bding last 2 days and hope to carry on over weekend. Ill be honest it was getting so mechanical whilst on tabs but we are realxing a bit more so can only be a good thing.
Well back on the wii and shift some more weight for holiday in May

Good luck girls and my fingers are crossed for you all as always.

Clure You looked so stiff earlier. Pity it aint flipflop weather (more slip slipslop weather)! Roll on summer!

Stac I've had a little bit of chocolate (8squares or the foresaid dairy milk from the fridge - wasn't opened till DH brought it in earlier. Think he wanted some basically.), a lovely soaky bath & watching Dinnerladies.
Planning some BDing in a bit!

Had some weird aches earlier around by right hip & then about 3 hours later around left hip. Could this be ovulation???? Why am I still not clued up on this????

Deb without being nosey, do you live in a large town or close to a city? Maybe there's a close hosp that can refer you?

Pops we'll know more tomorrow what will be going on at work in the future.

Clure · 27/01/2010 19:42

hi ladies

stac - glad everything looking goood for you.

fairy - blimey you're having a run of bad luck aren't you? There WILL be something positive for you around the corner I'm sure

Deb - it sounds like you have not been treated terribly well ( a bit like me really!!) I'm 42 and understand its a bit of a race against time. I have read about ovarian hyperstimulation thing, it was mentioned in my last consultant appointment, they won't give you more than 6 months of clomid because of this. I've decided to go private for investigational tests to see if my eggs are viable to use in ivf. Hope you get some joy

ven - good news about your follicles. We still have an awful lot of ladies here who are being left to it, I think Attila is right we should be more closely monitored...guess thats going to cost nhs more money though!

becky - glad you feeling better
yummy - could be your month, good that you ovulate on time
hi everyone else

My back is SO bad, I am a cripple, I had trouble getting my boots on this morning. Hobbled to take DD to school then onto my school, took a good ten mins longer to walk. i can't do any running till I've seen chiro on Friday. hoping it'll be better- feel so frustrated at my immobility. Anyway enough moaning. This will give me a chance to get in touch with the fertility clinic at Guys and see about putting wheels in motion.
Proactive ... yes I think I'll make that my mantra

millions of particles of babydust xxxxxxx

popsy1 · 27/01/2010 19:26

Hello ladies

I think the saying "it never rains, but it pours" springs to mind fairy. Things always go wrong all at the same time. Sending {{}} your direction hun.

Ven had a good da thanks, still walking round with a grin on my face and not able to tell anyone except you lovely ladies DH has told me not to, doesn't want to tempt fate! 2 20mm follicles, thats fab and you are only on CD10!! Sounds promising

Deb i was told i was only going to have 9months as well (i'd already had 9months years ago) and then it was going to be IUI or IVF. Didnt mention a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation, they told me that could happen any month. I wish they would all sing from the same hymm sheet, would make life much easier.
Yummymummy sound good for you.
Glad you are feeling better Becky
How are you today Clure? How are things at work for you and fairy?? Stac hows your day been?

Hi to any i've forgotten.

Booked my early pg scan yesterday for the 15th Feb and then the midwife on 17th. Was so excited, felt like a kid at christmasStil feeling like it not real and that the test was a faulty one.

Positive baby dust and extra hugs to those that need them

stac14 · 27/01/2010 19:23

hey ladies, how are you all? I was at the docs today everything seems fine, but have the midwife on monday so she will do the thorough checks. Hopefully get to hear the heartbeat. Hows things with you? X

Fairygodmother1 · 27/01/2010 18:49

Stac & pops Thanks for the support. I know what you mean tho.

Yummy I'm CD 14 too. I think I've ovulated today. Fingers crossed - it's me or you going by the luck I've brough Stac and pops. Deb Know exactly how you are feeling hon. I'm pretty down with this TTC lark. Think after this month I think I'm gonna actively stop 'trying' and wait for IVF. Not sure who you'd ask. Is there another cons at your hosp? I have PCOS & was told by my cons it wasn't suitable for me so why can't the reverse happen for you???

Ven I totally believe in karma & what goes around comes around. Sure there's someone out there aiming all their hatred at me (they must be jealous of my good looks haha! see gotta laugh or shall cry far too much). Maybe a BFP is in my future!!!! Not too distant I hope.

Beck glad you're feeling better hon!

Clure How's the back? Tommorrow we'll be a little bit more in the know.

Debicemmy2 · 27/01/2010 18:36

Hi there
Attila I had an opp last year for the endo.........six months before I started on the clomid. It was to try and unblock my tube, take a sample (for cancer) and lazzer the endo. Im not going to jump too far ahead at the mo.....ill see how I go over the next few months,my head already all over the place without them mashing it up anymore than it is now

Fairy Stac Pops and everyone hope youve all had a good day.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Venetia2 · 27/01/2010 18:35

Hi all,

Have finally had time to catch up whats been going on this week.

Fairy I am so sorry about your troubles, was wondering if all this negative stuff is going to be balenced out by something positive (i.e. a BFP)-not sure I believe in karma, but its a nice idea anyhow....?

Deb I know everyone else has had a say but I agree with them that you should ask for a second opinion as units are really variable-on this thread you can see how differently we are all treated.

Becky glad you are feeling a bit better.

Hi Stac and Popsy, how are you both feeling today?

Hi everyone else.

Well scan today showed two 20mm follicles on left and one on right (13mm but she thinks it might ov too), all looked OK, even though only CD10. Student nurse in the clinic today, could have said no but feel mean, they have to learn, but .......

Waved off from clinic with cheery "see you next month at the IUI clinic"-I hope not but thought I shouldn't say it....do wonder if it was said without thinking or they really think Clomid isn't going to work for me-consultant only gave it to me as an afterthought because I haven't tried it.

Anyhow...positive we will all get pg babydust!

AttilaTheMeerkat · 27/01/2010 16:44

Debice

Infact I would seriously consider returning to the GP and ask to be re-referred to another unit in the nearest city centre to you. It is certainly fair to say that some NHS units are far better than others.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 27/01/2010 16:42

Debice

How are they going to treat the endo, has this been mentioned to you?. I ask this as endo can and does recur.

I would query the further clomid as well as this will do nothing for endo and it should ideally only be used if there are ovulatory problems. Its main job is to make the ovaries work harder.

Think you're being mucked around here by them I am sorry to say.

Debicemmy2 · 27/01/2010 16:11

Oh forget to say..she did go on a bit about my age (41) and have I thought about paying for treatment.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Debicemmy2 · 27/01/2010 16:08

Hi all
Hope you all well
Fairy Im not too sure how I feel to be honest hun............my brain a little mashed by it all. I really am starting to feel very low and thinking whats the point its not going to happen so why am I putting myself through all this. Who do I ask for a second opinion hun?
Stac I started the clomid in June but have only taken 6 months because I had a rest from it Aug and Dec. she said the next step is to let nature take place. I have Endo and was told (by the scan nurse) that metformin was not for me and only for people who have pcos.
Pops She said she didnt want to give me more than 3 months because the longer your on it there is more of a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation and that I am ovulating on my own anyway.
Im on CD 8 now so lets see if we can be blessed this month.......sending loooooooooooots of luck to you ALL xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
