Hi all,

Had some long needed good news from consultant - I didn't ovulate in Aug but did in Sept so I should do any time now!!!!!

So relieved & feel like a 'proper' woman!

Asked about day 12 scans to check when I'm ovulating & was told they don't do them in my health authority! Oh well worth the try.

welcome csparks, hopefully your symptoms should ease as your body adjusts to the meds. I always find a ferocious amounts of exercise helps me to get out my frustrations!

hi stac, good luck with decorating - stripping is an awful business!!
Hope rest of you are good.
I have spent a lovely day with my in-laws, and my DD getting to know her little cousin. Little bit sad to see DH with my DD and her 1 year old cousin both on his knee. Thinking how lovely it would be for DD to have a little brother/sister.... oh well!
I'm currently on CD 51, may have to give the provera another whirl to get a period. Was hoping the reflexology may help.

have a good week all x

stac14 · 04/10/2009 18:38

Thanks paddington and fairygodmother I am just looking forward to being able to let him drive for a change lol

Hope you get some decent info at the cons paddington what day you there?

Welcome to the thread csparks 2 years without af must have been so frustrating I was 9 months before they gave me northisterone. I have pcos, did 6 rounds on clomid with no success and I am now on 1500mg of metformin and will take the clomid on next cycle. I was advised to take clomid at night to ease side effects and it worked for me, didnt take them away completely but it was better than when I took them in the morning. I'm sure you will find loads of support on here hun

Hows everyone else? I am still stripping ds bedroom, who invented woodchip?? the stuff is terrible to get off thankfuly dp is being good lol xxxx

Hi Csparks,

I felt awful on the first month of clomid same symptoms as you said. 2nd month was dizziness but this month no symptoms at all so it does get better.

Hi everyone else!!!!

Littlemissmischief · 04/10/2009 12:28

Hi CSparks . wow 2 years is a long time with no period! I went a year and felt so ill, at the time I was told it was down to stress but after lots of investigating I was found to have stage 2 endometriosis and PCOS as my periods are really irreguar. I too was induced a few months ago but was given northistine and am now on my first round of Clomid. I too have felt like rubbish since taking them and am lead to believe that this is quite normal although the doctor never mentioned anything so glad I had the advice on here! I have had some killer headaches and feel really sick alot but just hope its all worth it! With regards to the relaxing bit, I think most people are refering to ttc in general. It is so hard to relax whilst going through all this rubbish but its the best thing to do when trying to have a baby, so basically the less you stress and worry about it all the better (easier said than done tho). Hope this helps and good luck x

Nothing much new here, just got some lovely stomachache almost all of the time. My dad had a stroke yesterday tho so not had much time to think of much else!

Hope everyone else is ok? x

CSparks · 04/10/2009 10:57

Hello everyone.

im really after lots of advise.. first time on here,nd not sure of all the abbreviations! lol.

im lead to believe i have POCS,i havent had a period for 2years,so they have me provera.which i took for 10 days and hav my period on the 14th day!
im on day 12 of my cycle(never been so exited to have 1!!lol)and took 100mg clomid, ive also been taking metrofomin 1500mg,i had an internal scan on friday, 1st 1 and said that my folicals are small, they are 6 she said they should be 18 or above to realse eggs(not sure if that mm or what)
to be fair, i havent been given much advice and find it a little frustrating!

i was sick on the clomid. ive constantantly felt un energentic/tired since taken medication.(im genreally quite energentic gym person)just fell like want to curl up on the sofa every day!also feeling dizzy.and was getting massive headaches.whcih have stopped now for a few days!

ive seen comments of here of people releaxing!!?? Gym or chill? lol

really open to loads of advise girlies. x

Fairygodmother1 · 03/10/2009 13:04

Hi all,

Clur - I had to have all those tests done when I had my first visit to specialist - I wasn't expecting the blood tests & internal swab!!!! lol.

Paddington - know just how you feel!

Stac - Congrats to dh!

Must say I'm being a bitof a der-brain at the mo with my dates - I said the other day I was on day 11 when actual fact day 11 is today!!!!!

Popped up hosp yesterday afternoon to ask advice as to when I'll get the results of my blood test & if I can have an ovulation scan & the clinic was closed - half 4!!!!!!!

Oh well, gonna give the secretary a call on Mon as I now had her number as I went to ante-natal to ask! (which reminds me - they must make a packet with the prices they charge for scan photos!!!!!!).

Hope eeryone has a relaxing weekend, I've already finished my planning for school next week & did 40 mins on the Wii! Go me!

Baby dust to everyone

paddington21 · 03/10/2009 10:54

stac14 · 02/10/2009 18:26

hey ladies
how are you? all good I hope. its so rainy here I am supposed to be stripping DS bedroom but can't be bothered lol DP passed his theory test today so his driving test is booked for 3 weeks time so chuffed for him. Are any of you doing anything exciting this weekend? xxx

Clure · 02/10/2009 15:15

hiya all,

Millymolly - that sounds fairly positive.

Fairygodmother1 - sounds a bit like the clomid is regulating your cycles a bit more? My reflexologist friend said that her colleague has just fallen pg, she has pcos and severe endemetriosis. Guess there's some hope there!

hi stac, paddington, clairbear and the gang

Me and DH still talking about the ivf. Its such a massive thing - especially with the possibility of donor eggs. Docotrs surgery just range as they've been instructed by consultant to do some screening (chlamydia, hep B etc) apparently thats all standard stuff if your going down the assisted conception route.
The other thing is that consultant says its not worth doing the AMH (blood test to test egg reserve) as my FSH levels have been consistently high that that in itself shows I have limited egg supply.
oh well other than that my gorgeous DD has settled well into school, she still on half days so its not quite such a wrench
Hope you all have a good weekend!

muchos babydust xxxx

millymolly83 · 02/10/2009 00:26

hi clure how u geting on been told by my doctor couple other things wrong with me. but they see no problem me falling preg again hope they are right. so how have u been geting on

Fairygodmother1 · 01/10/2009 18:40

Hi all,

Sorry i aint been on - my laptop won't let me sign in on here so hijacked DH's.
Paddington - sounds like you're having the month I've had in the previous 2 - one was a really long period that lasted near 14 days & my last one was exruciating but only lasted 5!

Now on day 11.

I've taken Sanatagen Prenat & so's DH since last Nov. When they run out Pregnacare were on special off & got those. I'm also taking fish oils & vitamin C like the hosp suggested. Not sure I'm convince & I must be well stocked on my folic acid by now!!!!

I'm trying to be positive for this month as it's cycle 3 so something must be happening (I hope)

Fingers crossed for everyone
& a bit more baby dust to share

does anyone know how different ms west's vitamins are to any other prenatal vit?

Littlemissmischief · 27/09/2009 19:18

Hey Stac, I spoke to you on the other thread, whereabouts in your cycle are you now? x

stac14 · 27/09/2009 18:21

hey paddington didnt mean to frighten you hun, just meant that the egg I had at the time wasnt the best quality, also sometimes the clomid can make your cycle longer or shorter so try no to worry.

how is everyone? I am defo going to look into this zita west stuff see how much it is? xxxx

Hi ladies,

On CD9 today and it really seems to be dragging, I know in the grand schemem of things its only a couple of weeks but everything feels like a waiting game. Had a complete breakdown last night - not sure why just think my body doesnt know whether its coming or going and the pressure is really getting to me. Feel completely worn out but know I will never be able to give up till I get my BFP so will have to soilder on regardless (sorry for the moan). Right am going to be positive now .

How are the rest of you doing? x

clairebear88 · 26/09/2009 08:11

hiya

Calmed down a bit today thank god. im normally such a happy person ( nicknme smiler )but i was like the miserable bitch from hell yesterday and looked terrible.
Pain is better today so all good.

I only had slightly low ov and clomid made me ov regularly and along with the hcg shot which releases the eggs on time I should have got bfp. There is no medical reason ( as far as they can see ) why im not preg so not sure what is going on. They have said I have a very high cervix so swimmers may be knackered on their journey. Im seriously thinking of buying a turkey baster to get it right there lol. Now im not saying DH is lacking in that dept but will save them energy. Maybe we are just allergic to eachother.

Oh well roll on oct and get some good news hopefully. Really got to try and lose a little weight before then.

x

KiwiKat · 25/09/2009 23:05

Evening, ladies. Stac, sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it.

I've been on Vitafem, and dh on Vitamen, for 5 or 6 weeks now. Am waiting for them to work magic! Clure, are you on the same ones?

Have given the acupuncture a miss this time round as we're a bit skint and it's rather pricey.

Clure · 25/09/2009 22:38

yes it is vitafem paddington x

Clure · 25/09/2009 22:35

hiya I have a general session but with the aim of trying to get a bit of hormonal balance and at least trying to get a period naturally. Although other ailments have come to light. For me I have had a bit of a reaction and have had bad back, headaches, swollen glands, cystitis general feeling pants - hoping it'll settle!
Have started the supplement - they are like horse pills and tought to get down!
