paddington I think it depends what unit of measure your results come in but my consultant said FSH should ideally be less than 10 (mine was horrendous at 36.8) not sure about the others though.

paddington21 · 19/10/2009 09:06

sorry seem to have posted twice. P.s to the post- i obv. Realise none of us are doctors( or maybe you are) but i cant find out what these results mean until i get to see doc. I am just interested if anyone has any ideas in the mean time. X

hi kiwi, I know that when I had fertility tests before I fell pg with DD my progesterone levels were low. Interested in what you were saying about p gel?
thanks for all your words of support

KiwiKat · 18/10/2009 22:41

Clure, it's hard not to think that your dh's brother's partner is just being greedy - life is really unfair sometimes.

I've read The Fertility Diet, and follow some of the suggestions - like eating sweet potato to keep up progesterone levels, and both dh and I have knocked drinking on the head completely. I've been on the wagon for months and now it's no big deal, but dh has only very recently given up and is NOT happy about it. Taking agnus castus and vitafem - they're chunky, alright! I've been thinking a lot about this progesterone thing, as I'm convinced that mine is low - my hair is falling out a lot, and my temps are very low - although the test came back normal. So I'm going to get a prescription for p gel if I can. Do you need a prescription? Has it helped anyone here?

Fingers crossed one of us has some good news to share this week.

paddington21 · 18/10/2009 21:12

Clure · 18/10/2009 20:44

Hi all,

Clure I did it the monday after day 21.

Beabieb, Yeah I get thise pains around day 12.

CD26 here - so fingers crossed. Been have weird niggles for the pas few days but could be nothing as I feel quite normal (othr than being really tired but that could be the fact it was my b'day this weekend, family issues & work).

stac14, mine was bad last month too so fingers crossed it wont be if/when I get mine this month & your too!

Peju, my dh's tests were said to be low by the GP but our consultant said that the GP didn't know what he was looking for & all was completely normal. We also had the results on a print out before seeing the consultant & researched via internet which really made us worry but consultant said normal so we were releaved!

Babydust to you all have a good week **

paddington21 · 18/10/2009 17:53

Oh please dont use the P word Clure!!!! its a bad word
Glad you had a good swim with dd
There is a lot of conflicting advice i dont eat wheat but the book says no to dairy and meat and only fresh water fish. It's hard to know when to draw the line.

hope all are well xx

Clure · 18/10/2009 15:14

thanks paddington. I haven't heard of fertility diet, yikes to the seaweed shake! I've cut down caffeine (one black coffee in the morning) eating my usual diet which is vegan and taking Zita Wests fertility supplements. Its confusing with the amount of conflicting information out there!
We have just been swimming with DD who had a whale of a time, I now should be doing some school planning!
Hope everyone else ok x
xxxx

paddington21 · 18/10/2009 14:46

Hey clure- i would ring your doc but i always did it on the mon if it fell on a weekend. But they could say fri... doc's are all very confusing!

hey kiwi good luck for your 2ww.

Has anyone read the fertility diet? I dont know how to take it tbh. Some of it seemed a bit odd to me like not eating peas??? and absolutely no booze whatsoever. Also some seaweed milkshakes.

Hope everyone is ok

KiwiKat · 17/10/2009 23:50

Hello everyone, haven't been on here for a little while. Cd16, just starting the tww, and if this one doesn't work, we'll be doing (and paying for, due to my advanced years) ivf. Clure, we might be doing it together - but let's hope that we get lucky before that!

mummycat1 · 15/10/2009 20:08

sounds fine beanieb just oving pain. Clomid does all sorts of funny things to your insides. My nurse at the FC used to say that the pains were my ovaries trying to tell me something! Good luck!

beanieb · 15/10/2009 11:48

Hi all - I have a question if there's anyone around to answer.

I am on CD 12 and last night I had really funny lower abdominal pains. I can't really describe them but they were low down and I also felt some pain in my bum area.

I am taking clomid from days 2 - 6 so am not taking it now.

Is this normal at this point in my cycle? I think I am about to ovulate.

Buttercup80 · 15/10/2009 04:12

Hi Paddington,
I'd also like to know what herbs you're taking to help with the hormones.
I've not tried reflexology but I have tried acupuncture. I've just had one session so far so I'm not sure if it's working yet.

So far I'm on day 25 of this cycle. counting down the days until I can do a test, trying not to get my hopes up.....

Baby dust to all
