Fairy good to hold out a couple more days, its nerve racking, however if you do happen to get a negative then repeat test in a couple more days as sometimes its too early get a positive. I'm keeping my fingers well and truly crossed for you

stac - have you tested yet? hoping you're well

Day 12 for me, this cycle I am going to continue to BD up till later in my cycle as I think last month (given my LONG cycles I think if I did ov then it was nearly 2 weeks after day 14)

Can anyone answer this daft question - if you BD in the evening would you go swimming the following morning? Does chlorine have an adverse effect? Sorry if this sounds silly!!

hi everyone else x

Fairygodmother1 · 22/10/2009 20:24

Hi girls,

Now day 30!!!! paranoia seriously setting in! Gonna hold out till sat before testing. I'm also feeling a bit niggly. Just don't really have symptoms for being preg or coming on!!!!!! Headaches, tiredness & nausea could be stress & tired. Boobs not hurting like they normally do when I'm coming on either!!! (far to many exclamation marks).

I just don't know what to do!

Baby dust to all

thislittlesisterlola · 22/10/2009 19:37

hey stac dp and i take those have had a crap day and nothing to make it better no chocolate no wine boo! Hope all are well x x

stac14 · 22/10/2009 12:06

hey thislittle I am about a week late but not too sure of cycles as af lasted about 8 or 9 days, feel a bit crampy today so think its on its away.

fairygodmother I am going to get the sanatogen at the weekend, I have only been taking the folic acid but will take this instead.

clure the baby talk is a nightmare, I was with my cousin last week and thier baby is only 7 weeks old so cute but just added to the broodiness, but was nice to have a cuddle lol

hows the rest of you girls? xxx

OP posts:
Clure · 21/10/2009 21:57

hi fairy, i know what you mean about the baby talk, it gets a bit much sometimes doesn't it? I also understand how nervous you're feeling about testing at the moment, I always put it off to prolong the "i might be" feeling. Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and wish you lots of luck, have a great hols. I'm on CD 11 and waiting for DH to get home from work!!

Fairygodmother1 · 21/10/2009 21:05

Hi Stac - know I'm, afew days late but my dh was aking the sanatogen multi pack thats for preconception for both mum & dad! Was pink & silver but think thatthey've changed the pack.

I'm also feeling ya with the too scared to test!!! On day 29 (I know only 1 day late) but soooo paranoid that its gonna be negative. Then when I think about it I get the niggles that you get before you come on. Other than being tired, headaches & nausea - no really symptoms that would confirm anythig either way. Could all be stress (family & Work).

Jo - welcome. Thats sad news. My best friend had a stillborn nearly 2 years ago due to the cord being around his neck. She now has a lovely healthy little girl. Also I can't comment too much as I've not even been able to conceive yet!!!

Clur - Big hug on the news! Know the feeling all too well. Baby talk at lunch time is getting a bit on my nerves too!

Fingers crossed & baby dust to all *

thislittlesisterlola · 21/10/2009 20:03

jobobpip08 · 21/10/2009 13:17

Ladies, thank you so much for your answers and kind words. I saw my lovely consultant and he has given me 100mg clomid and also something to reduce the flow of my very heavy periods (I could have kissed him cos they're really awful sometimes!). So, clomid in 3 weeks. I feel so much better for seeing him and this morning I lost 1 lb! Hooray! I get accupuncture done and she says - per Zita West - to cut down/out wheat and dairy (you could have full fat yogurt for calcium) to help fertility. So no cheese on toast then (how will I survive). Ginseng is good to boost sperm count and mobility (and libido!). Has anyone tried evening primrose oil to help ewcm whilst on clomid?
Paddington21 - sorry to hear about dp's loss, being there for him is about the best thing you can do, there really are no words of comfort. Big hugs and tisses is the next best thing. Thanks again everyone.

paddington21 · 21/10/2009 10:44

stac to be honest i think they all probably do the same kind of thing obviously the better the quality the better it is for you i guess. Dp and i take a his and hers vit and i take the natural supp's that are made up for me. Folic acid and zinc and all the other b vits i was told most important. hope everyone is ok. Were under a dark cloud here dp's fav relative died yesterday. Im treading very very carefully i hope me just being here for him is enough i dont really know what to say or do. X x

stac14 · 20/10/2009 22:36

Can anyone tell me the name of the vitamins they and dp uses for conception? I checked the zita west stuff but its a bit too expensive for us at the mo since I'm still studying,
clure are you taking the vital dha or the vitafem? There are so many things on the market I dont know what to choose. xxxx

hi jo i am so sorry for your loss i can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. I can only say that the gals on here are amazing and we all support eachother through it all. I also can understand that this is a massive thing and can overwhelm and swamp. Clomid can help and your on the right track now. Your cons sounds lovely and if they say you can get a positive then go with their positive thoughts. P.s you are most definitely not a basketcase x pps hey ladies we all ok?x x

Clure · 20/10/2009 18:26

hi jo, you've been through the mill a bit haven't you? As littlemissmischief said you sound as frustrated as the rest of us.
Its tough, I'm sorry for your loss but now your low progesterone has been identified you can move forward.
Try to focus on one thing at a time eg get your medication sorted out or your consultant appointment out of the way before you think about beating yourself up about losing weight. I would write down your quesions to take to your meetings and take notebook and pen to write down any information he/she gives you - if your like me you;ll forget it all the minute you walk out of the door.
I'm trying to conceive number 2. I had my DD using clomid - I got pregnant first cycle and was prescribed it because of low progesterone so take heart and good luck at your appointment x

jobobpip08 · 20/10/2009 11:02

Hi Little Miss Mischief

Thanks for your answer, its good to know that it is normal to feel this way, its hard sometimes to seperate out the feelings so that you can understand them. We're lucky where I live, its quite small so the consultant is aware of those of us that have suffered a loss and he does everything possible for us.

Thanks again
jo

Littlemissmischief · 20/10/2009 10:27

Hey Jo, I dodnt want to leave you unanswered as I really feel for you, Other than the fact Im on Clomid and that I also have a DS, my circumstances arent the same as you so I really can't give you any words of advice. I am so sorry for your loss and can only imagine how hard it must be for, but I know the feeling of thinking it is so overwhelming and you dont know what to do or feel, and we all put our complete trust in our individual docs and hope for the best.
The only thing I would say is that your a definately not a basket case, you sound exactly the same as every single one of us on here and your not alone so please dont feel like that, and im sure your consultant has seen it a million times, so go tomorrow armed with questions you need answering and explain how you feel and hopefully your cons will help you feel more at ease with everything.

Good luck hun xxx

Morning Ladies

Sorry to gatecrash this thread, but I posted in 'conception' and didn't get much of a response (thank you to floweringcurrant who did respond). Hope you don't mind.

I should be pleased things are finally moving in the right direction - right? After 16 failed cycles, then a miscarriage at 8 weeks in August, I saw the fertility consultant last month. He immediately spotted my progesterone was low from tests done at the beginning of the year by my doctor (who said they were in the normal range). He also saw I had polyps, which have now been removed along with a d&c as the lining was too thick. He has suggested clomid for my next cycle and that I should lose a bit of weight, but is quite positive that we will get a 'postive'.

I should say that 19 months ago my second son was stillborn a few days before my due date, due to a knot in the cord. Previously I had no problems getting pregnant, we have another son aged 5 and I miscarried at 12 weeks before him. I'm now 38 (and a half!).

Has anyone anyone else felt like this - I should be happy that things are moving in the right direction but right now I feel utterly miserable, my diet isn't happening and I don't know why.

I'm seeing my consultant tomorrow to get the results of the polyp removal, new day 21 test and prescription for clomid and I don't want to go in feeling like a basketcase.

I know in a way this is tied into losing my son, as we were only going to have 2 children so I would not have been getting pregnant again, but I've been dealing with my grief fairly well. Aside from that, is feeling this way normal?

Can you give any comfort, anyone? Or am I truly a basket case!!??

Thanks
jo

"I have my current stats i got sent from doc but they have not told me if they are good or bad- useful huh! Fsh- 7.4 lh- 9.2 testosterone 1.0 normal thyroid. Can anyone shed any light?"

Hi Paddington

What cycle day were these taken?.

These would probably indicate PCOS and non ovulation that cycle.

Clure · 19/10/2009 22:38
