hi

fairy - you mad girl of dreams. I too have the weirdy dreams, except at 1.30 am I was woken by a couple having a drunken barny up the road but such was her screaching it must have woken up half the county! Glad you had good day

Deb - sending you a hug, sure it will happen for you

waves at rest of ladies

I have been going mad because I am still immobile, I can now get up off the sofa without taking a deep breath in and shouting obscenities, although I am having to brace my back for pain when I sneeze. It feels a bit easier tonight, recovery is slow. Can't wait to be able to go out for a run but I'm being sensible and not rushing it

Stac it breaks my heart to see him playing with my friends kids, like today, and when he's with my niece & nephew. They love him so much & my heart wrenches that I'm not giving him one of his own. My friend said to DH that his little girl would quite happily be adopted by us! 2 of my goddaughters love him to death to. i think it's cos he plays about with them & that.

Ooh I had some weird dreams last night. 1 I was married to Henry VIII (who was my ex) & I was pleading not to have my head chopped off (This is my current topic at school). My second was I was at work late & night cos Ranulph Finnes was giving my class a lecture on Arctic exploration (previous topic before xmas) and I got left behind to stay in the school over night and no-one had locked up so it was all open. The 3rd i went back to the 70s & was watching my ex on a date at a pizza hut type place & I was trying to catch a tube but there were ones from london underground & ones from new York!

Can anyone explain these????

Days going well. DH just changed his first nappy. My friends little girl would only let him lol.

stac14 · 30/01/2010 14:00

clure was thinking of the cross stick stuff as its quite easy to pick up, I might buy a kit and see how I go, the winnie the poo stuff would be good for the baby, thanks for the idea

why do they change these medicines? if it wasnt harmful before what makes it a problem now? sometimes they go over the top with safety measures.

jo i know its an old remedy but what about a room full of steam to help ds's congestion? or maybe some olbas oil in a warm bath?

hi
stac - I too had a bit of a restless night. My back is still very sore but think its a little easier today. Will you be able to catch a little nap during today? I have to say knitting isn't really my thing been more into sewing. I spent quite a lot of time years ago getting into patchwork quiliting - it's quite addictive! How about doing one of those tapestry or cross stitch kits? The other thing I loved and did at night school was batik.

jobo - last time my DD had a cough I couldn't give her anything either. They've also banned medised in children under 6 aswell, it was a life saver when DD was teething and all congested up. Hope you DS feeling better soon

fairy - hope you have a fab day

Just been doing craft stuff with DD now DH is playing peppa pigs with her. Lots of high jinx going on downstairs!!
have a grand weekend all of you

hey fairy i'm sure you would find north of the border lovely lol. Sounds like you have a lovely day planned.

jo i dont know anyone who knits, so it would need to be a book. Why dont you send dh back to the chemist for the medicine, mind say ds is older, hope lo feels better soon
I am knackered today, was awake a lot last night, the baby upstairs has a terrible cough and i kept waking up with her maybe i'm getting into practice lol x

fairy industrial strength babydust. Thought it was so good i'd post it here!

stac if you can get someone to show you knitting, it would be much easier. Some of the books are very good tho.

I'm currently seething that I drove to the chemist to be told that as DS is 5 1/2 I can't buy him any of the medicine he has been taking for years, when I asked what I can give him for congestion and runny nose I was told Calpol. CALPOL! How the h*ll does that help when he doesn't have a temperature. It was the only reason I went out! Miffed and yes, next time I lie about his age.

Just LMAO - DS wanted a Ped-Egg (the thing you rub on your feet to take the hard skin off) as he had seen them doing it on a balloon to show it was gentle, so assumed it was something for ballons!!!

yay for Friday!! Lots of posts to catch up on. Hope you ladies are all well.

Deb i love shopping. Sounds like you had a good bit of retail therapy. Buy anything nice?
Fairy and Clure sounds like things are rubbish at work. We've been through a fair few up heavals at school. so you both have my sympathys.
That frustrated me as well, the symptoms being so similiar. I think your theory of Mother Nature being a man is pretty near the mark Fairy Carebear the reflexologist said the part below the ankle bone on the inside of your foot was the reproductive area and as mine was puffy she could tell i had probs with my ovaries. Thats the main area she worked on.

Jo poor you having to play nursemaid hope they make a swift recovery. Its starting to sink in. I did another test last night, just to check. Was still positive but this time said 2-3wks! At least it said pregnant though.

RE CM and ovulation. Mine started a couple of days before and then got more. Only noticed when i wipped (TMI sorry).

No plans for weekend apart from working and catching up on housework

Clure · 29/01/2010 18:47

fairy - I imagine it was a very difficult day. thanks for your good wishes, hope you have a good time with friends.

I'm on CD27 but had no EWCM at all this month oh well......... xxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 29/01/2010 18:40

Jo we need the comedy (not scouse i'm afraid Clure). lol.
I'm still twingy this evening but EWCM is gone...too early for implantation I would have thought so could be just an after effect???? I just don't know.

Got friends coming over tomorrow to catch up. That'll be nice.

Fairygodmother1 · 29/01/2010 18:37

Clure It was a 'I can't be bothered today...' kinda day. No-one was organised. Plus was chatting for 45 mins before I made it to the classroom. Next-door but one & her year partner were in deep convo about the meeting & stuff.

Most had left pretty early this evening. Staffroom was quiet at lunch.

I felt soooo ill after that meeting. Think although we knew it is happening, I felt the shock. Prob the numbers & the realisation.

Hope your back eases over the weekend.

jobobpip08 · 29/01/2010 18:30

fairy you did make me laugh -mother nature must be a man lol! I'm tired too - DS woke me up at 5.50am! Too early when you haven't got to get up! I'm CD 23, so getting closer. At least I get the jab to know when I ovulate - altho my first appt I told him I couldn't feel anything and no ewcm and when he scanned the follicles were too small. A couple of days later I had definite twinges and ewcm and they were ready.

Have a good rest this weekend if you can, your body has been through an awful lot lately.

hello all

Fairy - its grim isnt it? Glad in a way not to be there today. Had a mighty painful session at the chiro today, this evening is easing up a bit, I have a bag of frozen peas tied to my lower back/bum with a scarf. Nice image eh? hope you have a good weekend and get some more bding in

Deb - you are a girl after my own heart. I managed a couple of hours shopping yesterday, hobbled really, mainly exchanging birthday clothes for DD, everyone bought her aged 5 clothes but she;s a tall girl and needs at least an aged 6! (she gets these tall genes from her daddy I;m pleased to say as her mummy is a shortie)

clairebear - you still have a good amount of time on your side, try not to get too despondant, good also to rest from clomid if you get bad side effects. I;m on a rest this cycle from it too.

carebear - I tried reflexology, a friend of mine is qualified and so did it very cheaply for me. Good to relax, she could tell when there was some ovarian activity going on, that area is located near the tender bit round the ankle (not sure if its inner or outer or both sides of ankle!!)

Beck - keeping an eye on CM is a good way to keep track on possible ovulation and more fertile times (if you are doing the timed intercourse thing which I know is not alway recommended) As fairy said the right time is when its raw egg like and stretchy and clear. As soon as you spot this get bding!

jobo - poor you having sick patients to tend to. Good to have you back

ven - hows you?

stac and pops hope you are keeping well, liking the idea of you knitting a baby blanket stac!

still frustrated by my back and inability to move or do anything, DD had to put my socks on this morning as I couldn;t bend down (gosh last time I was that unable to bend I was 8months pg!) DH had to haul me up from DD bed after reading her bedtime story last night and I was SO uncomfortable in bed from about 4am so I think an early night tonight, plus sulking cos DH out watching comedian John Bishop (very funny scouser from mock the week)
off to check on "snow white" (DD new dressing up costume)

Venetia2 · 29/01/2010 18:24

Hi all,

What are everyone's plans for the weekend.

Fairy sorry you guys haven't heard about the job thing fully yet, hope you can have a good relaxing weekend and take your mind off of it for a bit?

Carebear that you for the reflexology link I was thinking about this too but agree its really expensive, will have a go at DIY reflexology.

The worry about not BDing as much as you should is something I have too, the clinic tell us to do alternate days and thats plenty but I have paranoia that in the most fertile time if I even miss a day it might be the one which makes all the difference. I am far from rational about this though.

Claire it sounds like you are in a similar place to me, I am still on the Clomid but having IUI too. I am a similar age too.

Becky glad you are better now! (Just in time for the weekend-good timing!)

Debs I am impressed by the marathon 7 hour shopping, I can't manage that long (without a break for tea and cake at least)

Jobo sorry your DS is ill. Thank you for the suggestions about getting more in tune with my body, am trying to get to grips with it and if no luck this month will go back to temperatures and charts next month too.

Hi Popsy, Stac, Clure and everyone else I have probably missed,

Have a great weekend....

Fairygodmother1 · 29/01/2010 17:39

Beck I kinda take notice when I wipe (sorry for TMI again). It's a bit more slippery when EWCM arrives lol.

I'm tired, with it being friday & all. Situation aint changed but I'm trying to sort things out really.

Fairygodmother1 · 29/01/2010 17:37

Hi Jo
My friend had a little girl last week so hopefully 3 out & 3 in...lol

Hope something is working down there! It's odd cos symptoms seems to be the same - niggles can mean ovulation, implantation or AF. Sore boobs can bee pg or af signalling arrival! ARGH! Mother nature has gotta be a man! Put it all under one label & that'll do! lol

What CD are you on? I'm on 16 today.

xxx

beckylou85 · 29/01/2010 17:37

Hi Fairy thanks, I haven't really took much notice what it's like but I have definately been feeling it over the last few days. Lets hope it was and we bedded on the right days.
How are you today?
Good luck to all ttc xxx

jobobpip08 · 29/01/2010 17:32

Hi everyone

Bit out of touch - I've been busy with DS - ill off school - and DH - ill off work! So much for peace and quiet!

stac how about knitting a baby blanket?

fairy hows life treating you today? I've been having twinges post-o so you're not alone. Maybe its a sign that the corpus luteum is working hard?? Fingers crossed.

pops sunk in just a bit yet?

care glad to hear I'm not the only one getting 'all emotional' on clomid! re DTD - if your other half has low sperm count or is older (in sperm terms)mine is 41 they recommend every other day, if you're younger every day is ok. I had DS1 when I was 33, so you're definitely not too old. Re reflexology - I'm sure there is a bit round your achilles heel which is also good, but check it out first to make sure you massage the right bit! You could also try searching under acupressure.

deb omg 7 hours! I can't even do 7 hours online lol!

clure hows you? DD birthday party sounded great, soup not so! Hows the back? Did you get twitched back into place?

ven we get monitoring and the hcg trigger jab, but no free IVF over here - swings and roundabouts! In the perfect world we'd get it all. If you're not already, get in tune with your body, its the next best thing. I can always tell when I about to ovulate because of the ewcm and the pain!

Whats everyone doing for the weekend? Needless to say I've got a quiet one planned being florence nightingale. Just off to starch my uniform....

super sticky we-will-get-pregnant babydust xxx

ps my friend had a baby last week and another is having one next week, 2 out 2 in?

Fairygodmother1 · 29/01/2010 17:31

Hi beck

As far as I know when it looks like clear snot/raw egg white thats supposed to be ovulation. Had loads (sorry TMI) this month. Gone now! So hopefully I ovulated & wondering if we BDed at the right time.
I'm not sure if the day after no more you've missed your chance - far too complicated I suppose.
