clure thank you hun

fairy what a truly wonderful friend you are . I've had time to deal with the worst of my grief but then had to contend with not getting pregnant when it took 3 months last time! Swings and roundabouts! Someone told me 'your heartache will never go, you just get better at coping with it'.
DS said to me this morning (and he hasn't asked this for a long time) when are you going to have another b-a-b-y (as if spelling it takes the sting out of it lol). Better than the time he asked me if i had a baby in my tummy and I had to tell him, no its just fat hahaha. Bless. He does make me laugh sometimes.

Yes, we had snow here (about 3 flakes) and it brought chaos. I didn't even know it had snowed in town and my 10 min trip to the supermarket took one hour! We finished school on wed.

hi millymolly, only my first time with clomid, but wanted to say hi. Fingers crossed AF comes on time.

Baileys baby dust indeed ! xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 18/12/2009 09:48

oopse - so excited I meant to say No school cos of snow!!!!

Think that Bailey's baby dust got to me lol lets hope it sticks *

Fairygodmother1 · 18/12/2009 09:47

Morning all,

No school for as no school! Holidays start here lol!

jobo - my friend's little boy strangled himself as he moved down the birth canal. Last year for his first xmas I sent her a special card for him as I did for his first b'day this year. I also send up balloons with little messages on. We both have silly conversations with him.
There's only a few people she'll talk about him too. It has taken her a long time to come to terms - especially as she got preg really quick afterwards. I think she has mixed emotions at times & for her to see how bad I am at times with the wanting she's very supportive & understanding. I think it'll make me paranoid about the cord when we come to have a baby. They gave her a CS a week before due date to make sure it turned out good in the end.
I kinda understand how you feel as I went through it with her - the text messages in the early hours & all her pain of losing the baby she so wanted. I would have taken her pain if I could!

So sad for you! I'm hoping 2010 is the year for us girlies. It's gotta happen soon!

As we're not preg yet I'm send Bailey's flavoured fairy dust

Clure · 17/12/2009 22:45

big hug for you jojo and fairy.
A big fat mars bar topped blob of baby dust xx

jobobpip08 · 17/12/2009 21:37

fairy my baby just stopped moving 10 days before my due date, they induced me and when he was born they found a knot in the cord. I really feel for your friend losing her baby in labour, how cruel to get so close. I know she will really have appreciated you making the effort for her. I have friends who have gone on to have babies following loss and they're stuggling with the questions about 'baby's first christmas' thinking how it should have been so different. Give your friend a hug from me. I don't think an hour goes by that I don't think about my little one .

Re xmas morning lol - just so long as you don't have close neighbours or scare the cat?!

We rarely have snow, but sleet is forecast. yeuch.

mint aero baby dust xxx mmmm mint aero.....

Fairygodmother1 · 17/12/2009 20:13

Jobo - yes it was march last year. It was a horrible time as I was so far away. She text me while in labour to say he'd become an angel! I just didn't know what to do. I couldn't make the funeral because I couldn't leave work so a few days later I managed to get u[p to see her & we sprinkled his ashes in our own private ceremony.

The good thing about having no kids (at the mo) but bro-in-law is staying for the week as he works nearby & can get in & out of work easier but DH thinks he's working xmas morning so we can be as loud as we like lol!!!!

Yep I'd be happy for a belated xmas prezzie! lol

Yep keep warm as the snows supposed to hit here soon - no sign yet!

jobobpip08 · 17/12/2009 19:57

fairy its a small world, your friend must have lost her baby boy around the same time I lost mine (last march).
Glad you got hold of your consultant and you're feeling more positive. I'll be ovulating on christmas eve so still a chance of a xmas pressie but definitely not doing anything in bed in the morning - DS will see to that at about 5am I should think! Well done keeping up with the kids - I normally migrate to the wall for the entire hour.
take care, keep wrapped up well this weekend!
xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 17/12/2009 17:57

Thanks Jobo - oh she absolutely fine - bouncing little girl born 11 months after she lost her little boy, she's now 10 months old (OMG! How time flies).

Phoned cons today & he thinks I'm on the right dose to get preg & thinks it will happen. Thats now the cons, my brother, my best friends hubby & my bro's f-i-l that has said that they think it's going to be us very soon. Very mystical! lol.

Going by getting Af on Tue night/Wed means that it's def gonna be xmas morning in bed!!!! Day 10 by then lol.

I'm much more positive this evening but xmas party at school went very well. Nearly an hour I was dancing with the kids - hope the weight will come off now!

fairy you were posting as I was so I've only just seen yours - I'm so sorry to hear about your best friend, but to get full-term and lose the baby is not common so try not to let that cloud your sparkly baby dust. hugs and positive baby dust

jobobpip08 · 16/12/2009 21:13

hi all
clure i take 'nourish' vitamins, from a company over here (jersey) they are online too. They're not cheap, mind you! I nearly fell over the first time I bought them! They include the usual multi-vits, minerals, flaxseed oil, spirulina, lecithin and bilberry extract! I think the wheat bit is it makes your blood 'sticky' which is not good for the womb lining therefore affecting implantation. It is an absolute lottery! I use preseed too.

I found out today that DS, who was Cow 2 in the nativity, was asking DH where to get white tights from....

fairy still laughing at your poor DP splashing his bits with cold water!

stac rather ratty today but then again the dog woke me twice in the night to go out...so probably just tired! I am starting to use the phrase 'its just the clomid talking' and wondering how much I can get away with lol

take care all xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 16/12/2009 21:10

Hi guys,
will give cons a call tomorrow and ask if I can up my dose for the last push before app. (Not a-p-p in the teaching sense - I detest that).
I'm ok in myself (almost). I had a bit of a wobble today as I'm not feeling too great, end-of-term-itus where I'm shattered & run down & general periody crap feeling & dodgy stomach. By lunch I was worse for wear & was thinking how the hell was I gonna get through a carol service worshipping a BABY & that fact that it doesn't feel I'll ever get one! I could have cried - especially after thinking how long it took my best friend to fall preg and she lost him at birth! But I took some ibuprofen & felt top of the world by 1.05 (only know the exact time as I was doing the register & felt so much better)!
Def will cut down on dairy & wheat as there is def allergy from both running through my fam (although don't have dairy much really).
Gonna def get more nettle tea in me & will prob try grapefruit tea rather than the actual fruit as I don't like the taste.

Thanks Clure - Mrs H also complimented me on my readers as they were the only ones that had learnt them by heart. Shame neither of their parents were there to see them. Thank god the awful singers from a certain year 3 class are not in choir! I was nearly wetting myself at one stage laughing!

Sparkly baby dust

Clure · 16/12/2009 20:26

hi

millymolly, hope you get a natural af, fingers crossed that you don;t need provera

fairy, your deffo entitled to a not fair moment. Like you said, at least clomid making you regular. I should also ask cons about upping your dose to 100g. I also use preseed and am going to try grapefruit (although its probably about the only fruit in the world that I detest!!)

jobo, do you take any specific herbs? I don;t eat any dairy but do eat wheat. Its a lottery isn't it!!

I finished school today, did 2 carol concerts and a visit to local hospital with our school choir to sing, it was difficult as I had to avoid the maternity wards and ask colleagues to do those wards. however our choir were fab (fairy you have some stars in your class!!)

stac14 · 16/12/2009 20:20

hi millymolly i'm good thanks, v.tired and still quite queesy but its all good lol.

hi all how are u doing am hopeing my af comes on the 22nd or its back to provera how are u stac and clure

stac14 · 15/12/2009 21:42

fairy defo go for an its not fair moment!! why dont you call the cons and see if they will increase you for the last dose before your appointment, you never know or if you have spare do it yourself (oops shouldnt be advising that again)

how you jobob? xx

OP posts:
jobobpip08 · 15/12/2009 21:25

fairy I am sorry and yes you are absolutely entitled to a 'its not fair'. Especially right before Christmas. I'm 38 (and a half!) and the consultant put me straight onto 100mg.
The best thing I can suggest is looking out for your cervical mucous, if you don't already. My acupuncturist goes by traditional chinese medicine and she recommends no wheat or dairy (or in my case reduced - i couldn't give up completely!) and the other thing is to keep your womb warm!

twinkling baby dust xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 15/12/2009 20:07

Thanks Stac

I've been going all night without getting up every other day. My does is 50mg - I also think the dose needs upping - I think cons should have looked into that by the 3rd cycle!!!!
I drink a lot of herbal tea as I gave up tea when PCOS was confirmed. Can't drink coffee as it makes me doo-lally!
I'll try the green tea & grapefruit juice def.
DH doesn't take hot baths & splashes with cold because the GP told us that his count was low so we looked into making it higher & that was a tip. The cons actually said his count was normal!
I take pre-conception vits plus omega 3 & vit C. I should rattle around!

Am I entitled to a "It's not fair" moment????

stac14 · 15/12/2009 19:52

fairy sorry af got you huni, as you say the clomid is making you regular. What dose are you on? I know I shouldnt tell you this but a girl I used to talk to on another thread upped her clomid on 3 of her 5 days then fell pg (know that goes against the docs but who knows) The ov sticks apparantly dont work because of differing hormone levels, they give false readings. Have you tried drinking green tea and or grapefruit juice to help cervical mucus, unfortunately clomid can make it unfriendly to sperm, there is also a lube called pre-seed that is recommended. Also lie for at least half an hour after bding. Can't remember what else, make sure dh doesnt take rasting hot baths that can damage sperm. Sorry for long post hope some of this is helpful xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 15/12/2009 19:17

Nope it's now turned to a proper bleed so Af has arrived.

Any suggestions for my last cycle before my cons appointment? Thinking I might try Ov sticks but apparently they don't work with PCOS?????

Fairygodmother1 · 15/12/2009 17:56

Hi all

Stac not sure it is implant bleeding as have more brownish gungy stuff today & my stomach feels like it's gonna all come pouring out! Another month of nothing. Can't understand where we've gone wrong...

DH did say that doing all the things that we've been told to doesn't mean that we will get preg - it's still a lottery.

I was talking to my friend earlier & I said to her that at least the clomid has made me regular. Other than last months mystery I've been 28 days! Day 27 today!

Clure only 3 more get ups.

My auntie still aint had her baby yet! She's about a week late & had a sweep a week ago!

How is everyone?

Hi all,

I'm feeling happy about meeting my new nephew - I never feel jealous about babies - just the being preg bit!!! Am i weird???

Yeah his first name is Kai - which is ok but Wayne Rooney named his kid that so it feels very chavvy. May also start calling then Rooney & Colleen. lol! The name via his maternal granddad is Richard! Poor thing. lol.

Must say he looks a lot like me as a new born except I was 2lb bigger & longer & not sure who's nose it is but it aint from our side of the fam!

Been having niggle aches down there today & boobs are still hurting big time & swollen. This evening I've had pinky-brown discharge. What can it all mean as I'm on day 26? Can it mean another failed month????

4 weeks till next cons appointment & still not lost enough weight I'm guessing although I am just in to 13st bracket! I hope they will give me IUI that the GP seems to think I'll be getting.

Jobo - good about the clomid working.

Clure - stay strong honey

Stac - nearly 11 weeks already! Thats soo cool!
