Stac, thats the good (and frankly annoying thing sometimes about my bro) that I made sure he was making all the main decisions about feeding (not warming the bottle) and changing (still using cottonwool balls instead of wipes) but he was letting me get on with it. My sister is the pushy one - they way she does things is the only and best way. Thats why I love spending time with my niece & nephew on my own. They behave well & do as I asked. DH put the kids down to sleep easily last night & my niece said today that she went to sleep as soon as he asked her. Normally it's murder trying to get them down - especially as they wanted to share the double spare bed at mums rather than him having the single bed in the other spare room!!!

I feel I'm now mad symptom spotting - checking my boobs still hurt (yes they do when press against & look rounder according to DH but is that cos I want to hear that?)
Also some little cramps again too! But like I say only CD18 so it's prob all in my head & too early to tell!

I could do with normality coming back tue - 1 more day please!

Clure · 02/01/2010 22:55

hi ladies,
stac, hope the scan goes well for you on Wednesday. Get yourself some rest!!
fairy - I have a good feeling about this month for you!
peju - it takes ages for this kind of news to really sink in and feel real, its fab!
jobo - we too had a very quiet NYE, made up for it today as spent the day out with my group of girlfriends having shopping, lunch and a couple glasses of vino. We left the DH's with the kids
popsy - keep up the walking! Such good form of exercise.
millymolly - hows the provera going?

Well ladies af turned up for me today (75 days since last one) on the positive I didn;t need to take provera. Unfortunatley don't have a supply of clomid but have decided to have a break from it this month - feel like I need to give my body a rest from the rollercoaster.

Nope not actually baby sitting. My bro popped round to mums with baby as his fiance was doing her own thing. My sister & hubby have gone away to a local hotel for the night as it's their anniversary so mum & dad have their kids. So nice little fam gathering that wasn't stressful!!!

Hope you feel better soon Stac

Can you believe how quickly these holidays have went by? Aww fairy sounds like you have had a lovely day. Are you baby sitting?

popsy meant to say earlier there will be an 11 year age gap between ds and this little one and dp's son will be 12 and they are thrilled hun. Dp and I thought I would have fell far quicker (as we all have before we knew about fertility probs) but it would still have been quite a gap. Theres 10 years between me and my sis and if anything it made me more protective over her so try not to worry about the gap.

I have a stinking cold, sinuses are hurting my head lol off to bed with a magazine have to get ds back into his routine he is back in school on Tuesday xxx

Hi Stac boobs still bruised feeling & feel a little fuller but I sometimes get that when I come on! A few aches occassionally. CD18 today.

Spent the whole day with my niece & nephews. Feeding, bum changing & a 2 hour nap on me from my baby nephew. Lots of playing, getting them ready to bed & putting them down with my older niece & nephew. Feel shattered now!

How is everyone else? I think I'm back to work Monday so need to get planning!

stac14 · 02/01/2010 18:16

Hey ladies, I have defo made up for the very late night/morning as I now have a stinking cold and keep falling asleep lol. As clure said it is quite traditional in Scotland to be partying for days for Hogmany so 5am is mild lol. Had a very long lie yesterday and mil made me steak pie for dinner, visited dps friends for a couple of hours then crashed and burned lol. Last thing I want is baby to learn to be awake all night so it will be back to 10pm bedtimes

popsy I did loads of walking in the past year, trying to loose weight and also to get the dog to. Hoping to get back into it as its great exercise

peju I think my weight loss contributed to getting bfp but I did it with the help of metformin. Have you told anyone?

How are you ladies today? fairy are you still cramping and stuff? Hope everyone is well xxxxxxxx

I'm impressed stac i was in bed just after midnight!!

Well done fairy for being a stone lighter. Just been out for a brisk walk, really as break from attempting to wrote an essay for uni, but need to get back in the routine of our weekly walking i've kinda missed it.

Impressive clure a regular 10k runner, i think i'll stick to my walking though , too big boobs for running .

I've also been a little concerned over the age gap, if i ever fall pg. Our son is 13 so theyd be a huge gap between them!!
xxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 02/01/2010 11:04

Hi peju please stay like stac & keep us all posted on everything!

Still trying to think of a cool thread name for when we all have bfps!!!

A lot of people have said about dreams that make them do tests!

I really hope it is all good signs for me. The gap is widening between my niece & her cousins. She'll be at least 6 years older than any I have - which is the same between me & my little bro which aint too bad but still an age gap to play.

Oh well, such is life.

Why have all the best chocolates have nuts in them???

Hi all
Bit more time to relax and get over my shock now!! Still feels a bit unbelievable as we had only been told we didnt have much of a chance natural coz of both our test results. really didnt expect a BFP and only took the test coz i had a very real dream that i got a bfp! only thing i can think that must of helped is fact i lost 1 1/2 stone and was walking lots.
Defo sunk in now tho stac - sick last night!!! ate something that dont agree!!
Going to make docs app on monday - will keep in touch with you all - want to see the next bfp's on here!!
Fairy - that all the symptoms i had good luck!!
Baby dust to you all!!

jobobpip08 · 02/01/2010 08:37

stac can't believe you were up so late (or was it early) on NYE! Teaching that baby bad habits already lol!

We just had a quite one, telly, bed, read, settle down and then the fireworks went off and the dog nearly exploded from under his blanket so it took ten mins to get him back to bed, only for there to be more fireworks, by the third time he wasn't so bothered. So i tucked him in again (yes honestly, he gets rather chilly!) and that was that. DS has slept over at nanny & papa's last night so nice to have a break.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoyed the weekend

xxx

stac14 · 01/01/2010 23:44

Hi popsy - good news about the drugs hon, I'm sure the clomid will kick in. I'm sure you'll have more positive news during the week.

I've had a lazy day. Also discovered that I'm a stone lighter than I was this time last year so feel pretty pleased with myself although I def need to get back into exercise & controlled diet.

Also been looking up metformin so I can suggest it to cons.

Had sore boobs all day (feel bruised more than anything) which could also be more confirmation that I've ovulated. Really hope I've caught it! Yesterday I had almost period type pains!

Just made a curry so very stuffed!!!!

Clure · 01/01/2010 18:14

hi popsy, good news that the metformin and clomid are working, Fingers crossed your follies will grow to the recommended size!

wishing you all a happy new year and raising a glass to a few more bfps

Had a nice day, took DD out with DH for a nice riverside walk - totally freezing! I had a run this morning but my pelvic floors are playing up so it was a bit uncomfortable and I wasn't able to go for my usual 10k. Just finished playing snakes and ladders!
stac hope you managed to catch up on some rest - you scots really know how to celebrate the new year. I was in bed before midnight desperately trying to stop DH dreadful snoring (he has a poorly throat and head cold! bless him but no sympathy last night!!!)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx dust

popsy1 · 01/01/2010 18:00

Well not the new i'd have hoped for, laying on back, feet in stirrups with a giant internal probe!!

Anyway, my follicle still isn't big enough, although it has grown, its now 16mm (needs to be above 17mm i think she said) so back on Monday for another scan, then another later in the week. I hate having to take time off work, but i know it has to be done! The nuurse said that the metformin is working with my PCOS and the clomid and it is hopefully going to make me ovulate at a more natural time. I'm hoping this is a good sign hubby is remaining very positive.

We've just been for a late luch ealry dinner with DS so i'm now suitable stuffed.

Hope you have all had a lovely day
xx
