geezette he clomid has given me 28 day cycles (all bar one) so I know it's working for me in that respect! I usually take 1hr-30 mins before going to bed.

Oh this weekend is getting worse - fridge freezer has packed up so emergency dash to parents this morning to get my frozen bits in till we can get a new one (can't actually afford it - was sobbing my heart out again this morning)!!! This is now where I';m thankful for the weather cos the milk can go out in the snow lol!!!

How's DH today Stac?

We're still not talking properly but thats prob cos I've been sorting out the freezer & he didn't even realise I'd gone out!!!!! My best friend just text to say she's had a blazing row with DH cos she asked him to change & dress the baby & he said it's her job!!!!! That house must have a major atmosphere today!

Hi all. Sorry you had such a rubbish day fairy. Glad it got all sorted out. Men can be so strange!!

I got my AF today and for the first month for as long as I came remember it actually came exactly when it should, so the Clomid is doing something!!! Gonna try taking it at night this time and hopefully the headaches and nausea won't be so bad.

Getting myself geared up for round 2 today!! Gonna take my dogs for a long walk in the snow!

massive hug for you fairy and stac

hoping the clomid fairy sprinkles her magic dust to us all xxxxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 09/01/2010 22:26

Thanks Stac - I'm a total control freak - best job being a teacher I suppose!
Thats why I'm finding this TTC so difficult! I'd be fine if it was up to me to get myself pg & I knew what was going on!!!!
I think I'm gonna really lay it on the line with Cons on Thu & let him know I need better care & not so long between app (I hope he listens). I need to know if & when I'm ovulating.

well boobs still hurt & cold is still raging (Vit C does not prevent colds!!!!)

Think I'm gonna god to bed and forget about today!

baby dust & hugs all round

There must have been something in the air today fairy dp and I had a row today too, it was over the bloody dog. DS tripped over the dog (dogs fault sprawled all over the place wee bugger) and DP shouted at DS so I got stuck into him. Was so mad as DS hadnt meant to do it and DP was being so unreasonable. Told him to f**k off of course he came back and appologised to ds and me.
I am like you in the sense I never show emotions unless its in front of people who know me well, suppose its the control freak in me.
Sure the 2 of you will be fine and will sort it out, hope your ok and are feeling better now. xxxx

my first clure the last time i was on it i got preg on the second month with my twins they are 3 in june.

Fairygodmother1 · 09/01/2010 21:44

Hi Jobo
Yeah, he came over to me like 4 hours later & said he loved me & was being all touchy-feely with me!
I think I was angry at him for a few seconds, if he'd let me snap at him & let me storm off things would have been solved but he bit back (so unlike him) which made me burst into tears (I'm soooo not that sort of girl - I'm soft in the centre but very few people get that deep). Which in turn made me close up & get more mad at him! And then I couldn't really sort it out cos all the fam were around.

Thanks for your little message. I just needed to get it off my chest!

jobobpip08 · 09/01/2010 21:25

Oh fairy poor you! What an awful day. Are you talking now? Sorry, I'm never very good at knowing what to say for things like this, hope you're ok now. Big hugs xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 09/01/2010 20:38

OMG! What a day - DH & I had a huge row today! He didn't talk to me for hours. To cut a long story short we were helping my sister & kid's to my parents house & they had their sledge but didn't like going up hill so I suggested to DH to put all the bags on the sledge including the one with the breakable present in it. He decided to carry the sledge so the present bag toppled off & smashed. I ripped into him & he shouted back & so I stormed off cos I burst into tears!!!! I never cry when we argue!!!!! the worst thing was trying to stop my tears in front of the kids! he then stormed past me to my parents & then refused to talk to me for 4 hours!!!!

Stac just got in from my parents so haven't checked the fridge/freezer yet.

I'm a day out on CD - I'm actually CD25!

Having freezer issues - what number should a fridge/freezer be on on the dial????

More snow arrived in the night & more forcast for the next 3 days! My dad's b'day today so gonna venture out to see him in a bit - only at the other end of the road so not too bad, just need to rescue my sister & her kids so they can get there! lol.

peju - apparently the sea-sickness bands really do work, would advise investing in some. Plus you can be our tester!

Have a 'fun-filled' day what ever snow adventure you have!

hi,
kiwi - you are in similar boat to me (42, ttc number 2) last consultant appointment they suggested ivf. This in itself was not too much of a shock it was just the mention of donor eggs. When you go for the ivf did you have any checks on your egg reserve or egg quality? I'm not sure I can do the donor egg thing and wondered whether a clinic would still let me use my own eggs (if it were possible) my FSH readings have been very high suggesting prem menopause. I know what you mean about the expense aswell, also sometimes you just have to go with it if it's something you want so much. I have to say that the weight thing is more the other end of the spectrum and consultant checked my bmi to ensure I'm not unerweight - Think he misunderstood my question about doing lots of exercise and would this affect my fertility!
Really wish you all the luck in the world.

millymolly, hi glad your af came and you can get on with clomid. What cycle are you on?

hi stac, fairy, popsy, jobo, peju, geezette and anyone I've missed. I usually go to a singing and music group with DD on Saturday morning but the centre is closed due to snow, we just been singing our own songs and now she's busy with her disney princess colouring! Off to rescue my table from felt pen....

have a great weekend xxxxxxbabydustxxxxxx

millymolly83 · 09/01/2010 01:39

hi all how are u got my af so start clomid tomorrow well today because its past midnight. then got my scan on the 19th to check if tablets are working so fingers crossed.

KiwiKat · 09/01/2010 00:50

I've been really interested to read that losing weight seems to have helped a few of you conceive. I had lost nearly a stone when I conceived ds, am back at that one stone too heavy weight now, so I'm wondering if they're linked. Hmmm. We've been off the clomid for a while, and are starting ivf in February. I'm pretty scared about it - I WISH I'd lost the weight earlier, as I feel that would have helped us conceive naturally, but no time now to put the ivf on hold, as I'm nearly 44. (One woman I know, who is the Matron of the Gynae Unit in a London hospital, told me that they wouldn't offer ivf to someone of my age as the results were so low - that was a bit of blow, but we're going for it anyway. Why spend that money on food or heating, when you can put it towards the wonderful dream of having #2?) So I'm going to get stuck into the weight loss in the hope that it helps with the ivf.

peju buy seabands, they are travel sickness wristbands that go on your pressure points proven for ms, do you know your due date?x

peju25 · 08/01/2010 22:03

Hi All

Posy - i started weight watchers and put my concentration into losing weight which i was doing well - lost a stone and half - a lot of which i was pg during although didnt know!! Was concentrating so hard on losing weight didnt think bout much else - maybe its a good luck thing!!
Fairy - fingers crossed for you
Geezette - welcome to the thread - everyone is great on here.
Im fine - still waiting for my scan date and trying to find something that will settle my sickness!! Will keep checking in with you all - want to see all the BFP's this thread is due!!
Babydust to you all! x

Fairygodmother1 · 08/01/2010 20:40

Hi Stac - not due on till Wed so not sure if to wait till then really. I've had a cold since my last af! lol.

I know that you can get cheaper gym admission here too. I found with PCOS that the best diet is foods with low GI, it did work well when I started it over a year ago. It's cos PCOS has similarities with diabetes. I did the Ian maber one which was fine for the first two weeks but the other weeks menus didn't fit with my life style routines (teaching means I can't eat little & often!).

I think low GI is the key but I really should find recipes to get me back in the right direction!!

stac14 · 08/01/2010 20:17

fairy when you due to test? I had a stinker of a cold when found out i was pg, to be honest felt generally crap sore boobs and all

clure DS was long too so not really surprised this one is the same but I am only 5ft4 and DP is 5ft11 so not overly tall, I did have really long legs till my body grew into them lol

Thanks geezette I'm sure you will be fine once the clomid settles down

popsy and jobob when I saw the first midwife she told me the best I could expect for weight loss with pcos was that I would still be plump, I know this is nonsense as when I met DP I was only 8st unfortunately for me I got comfy and piled it on. My current midwife said although it is hard to loose weight its not impossible (although it feels it) but after baby is here she says they will arrange a weight loss plan for me. You can also check with your GP to see if there is anything they can do in the way of supporting weight loss. In Glasgow they run a weight management programme which is basically a free diet class. You can also get a gym prescription were you get cheaper admission to the gym. I think these are available in different NHS areas, worth a try

Hope everyone is good and wrapped up nice and warm in the house. My house is a disaster area due to the bloody workmen fitting kitchen and bathroom I could cry xxx

Hi Clure sore boobs are a hit & miss with me, some moths they do hurt & other months they don't. They don't hurt loads but a bruised feeling when touched or walking about. I'm prob setting myself up for a fall!

Less than a week to find out!

Clure · 08/01/2010 17:33

Fairy - when I fell pg with DD it was my boobs that was the initial symptom. They were incredibly sore. do you get that every cycle though? I was advised to take evening primrose to help with the hormonal imbalance which helped the sore boobs. Having said that if ttc then evening primrose should only be taken up to ovulation. Your signs are good!!

CD 7 for me, going to watch out for the ov symptoms next week even though I'm not taking the clomid will still give it a go!!

hope you are all well. I'm going to be doing another bike session this evening though not on the snowy roads!! DH has rigged up my racing bike on his "Turbo trainer" (contraption which you can put your bike on and its like an exercise bike but better cos you get to ride your own bike and use all the gears etc) only thing is its in our lean-to which is FREEZING!! when you get going its weird cos you are sweating looking out at 5 inches of snow. Still feel great after doing it

Geezette82 · 08/01/2010 17:31

Hi all.

Thanks for the advice Fairy and Stac.

Sorry Stac I meant to say a big congratulations to you yesterday!!

Clure - I am taking 50mgs. I had my scan and because it looked as though I had reacted well to the Clomid the cons said to stay on the same dose for a further 5 cycles. I had my progeterone levels checked this month and am having them done again next month and if they are okay they said they would leave us to try on our own from then on till our next appt in June. I'm told thats standard for the clinic.

I'm on Day 27!

CD23 for me.

Boobs feel more bruised when I walk or run. Feel absolutely shattered so good it's a snow day.

The losing weight thing is a constant battle for me! Up & down but I'm slowly going down!!!

How is everyone else?

jobobpip08 · 08/01/2010 14:02

popsy

I was exactly the same as you re losing weight, having to go on the clomid etc was all too much with dieting as well, but a couple of months down the line I feel more settled and have tried to be good this week. Even had my 5 a day today! Get the next month out of the way and then see how you are after.

Rang for my follicle scan this am and they said to just mention to the doc that I needed more and he would give me a prescription. All seems to easy! Although she did say it could take a year on clomid to get pg, I didn't really need to hear that! Ho hum.

how is everyone else doing?
