Hi all,

Stac The igloos are almost no more - big thaw going on. The cold is still circulating & feel I'm coming down with another one. Feel very dehydrated today & the niggles are turning to pre-af aches...I'm convinced it's not my month. Keeping positive cos got the cons on Thu.

Big hugs Pink - I've had a couple of bad afs since being on clomid - the most rememberable one was end of Sept - I was in agony, loads of clotting & very heavy & painful. I get brownish blood at the end too & since being on clomid its 28 day cycle for me so can't be old blood!

How is everyone?

Aww pink hope its not endometriosis, I usually got brown stuff at the end of af and I dont have it. Well done on the positivity, weight loss helped me and I'm sure your already gorgeous

The day they ripped the bathroom out I was at my aunts clure as my bladder would never have coped with not being able to use the toilet, also with the doors being open constantly I would have froze lol. The good thing is everything will be sorted for the baby so I shouldnt have to go through anymore major work after the decoratings done. So looking forward to using the shower lol

How are the rest of you ladies? fairy hows your cold? Are the igloos still there?

Hello All,

Well AF arrived last wednesday and with it a sick bug (quite literally the same minute!!). So have been a bit off colour. AF was really heavy and very painful and is now ending with brown blood which please someone correct me if i'm wrong but that means it's old blood which makes me cry as it's taking me back to my bad Endometriosis days. Thought having had DD that this will hav stopped. It therefore doesn't hold out much hope of conceiving and not even on clomid. I just finished my 5th tablet (yesterday). So now i'm afraid i'm going to need another operation to free things in order to get everyting working properly.

SO... and this sounds very positive... in the meantime i am concentrating on becoming thin and gorgeous (think i can achieve the thin bit easier than the latter!). If i can't be pregnant i'm going to be thin. Strange compromise but who knows what may happen if i take my mind off it. ANYWAY i'm secretly so don't tell anyone!!!

Clure · 11/01/2010 22:58

hiya

stac - its a nightmare for you getting those big jobs done, we had our bathroom done last easter and it was a complete nightmare (as we only have the one loo we had a few wee's in a carrier bag secretly in the bedroom as too embarassed to ask the workman to leave the bathroom You did right to leave the sledging, can't take any risks

popsy - you sound busy! I made some banana loaf with DD from the cbeebies programme I Can Cook. DD enjoyed making (and eating it) DH polished it off tonight. Sometimes is tough being vegan!

fairy - the igloo was smashing, year 5 had a real treat!!

hoping the rest of you are in good spirits and not too symptom ridden

off to bed xxxxxxxxxx

stac14 · 11/01/2010 20:04

Venetia cheesecake is lovely and sooo easy to make. Just a biscuit base, the combine mascapone, cream cheese, cream, melted white choc and then raspberries (its very low cal ladies )Its delicious

Geezette82 · 11/01/2010 19:15

Hi all!

Fairy That sounds so much fun!! Wish I had a teacher like you when i was at school! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Venetia Took first tablet today and got a headache but otherwise all other symptoms have settled down thanks hun.

Hope everyone else had a good day xxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 11/01/2010 18:36

Hi all,

Convinced I'll be on tomorrow. Boobs only a little sore, heavy & niggly feeling down there & almost like I need a wee when I don't! Still quite moody swingy!

Had a fantastic day at school. Last term we were studying the Arctic & Antarctic and have been trying to make milk bottle igloos. Well today we decided to make the real thing using their trays as brick molds. We were out there all day & it was amazing! Although I've had a hot bath I still feel cold to the bone!

Venetia2 · 11/01/2010 08:57

Right, feeling more sane today! Off for day 21 bloods to check ov happened then to work, last week as starting new job soon so will be really busy tying up loose ends.

Thank you Fairy and Geezette for your advice about research-have sworn off google and the early pg threads!

Hope the Clomid symptoms aren't too bad today Milly and Geezette?

Popsy I wish you hadn't mentioned the cheesecake-I have been dreaming about it ever since-is it hard to make?

Hi Peju and Stac and everyone else I haven't mentioned!

I am writing this down so I have to stick to it-I am not going to symptom stop, not going to research stuff, NOT going to POAS unless I am definately late and have some reason to believe that is significant. That means nothing to do until next Weds at least.

stac14 · 10/01/2010 22:32

clure thats what we always used as kids, that and the crates bread was delivered in, my sil took the kids sledging today I would have loved a go but dp said its too dangerous, I know he's right but still felt like a petulant child lol

fairy before I got bfp I went to my friends and we were having a couple of drinks but I felt so sick, actually threw up. She said 'you better do a test, last time you were like this you were pg with ds' sure enough she was right, some people are good with these things.

jobob yeah we kissed and made up not long after the fight really, poor ds thought it was his fault as he had tripped over the dog so that took some smoothing over, hes fine now though. Hows things with you? Your right you have no chance of winning a fight with a 5 year old, I struggle to win with a 10 year old

off to bed ladies have kitchen and bathroom fitters in tomorrow so need all my strength not to strangle one of them lmao nite xxx

Clure · 10/01/2010 21:17

hi all

fairy - very promising girl!! Do you think you might test before your cons appt? Glad you made up with DH, mood swings are awful. A freind of mine who is ttc also has her cons appt on Thursday. Still waiting to hear if schools open tomorrow!!

popsy - keeping a kind of diary is really useful. I printed off calendar for each month to plot my irregular cycles/clomid/BD/AF etc its really helped especially when you have a consultant appointment

geezette - I've been given the clomid and had one day 21 progesterone otherwise left to get on with it. The progesterone test was useless for me as my cycles are SO LONG and irregular. iIt really varies from health authority.

millymolly - hope your symptoms have eased now

hiya stac, ven, jobob, kiwi, and anyone I've forgotten

had lovely day, took DD out sledging (without a sledge but armed with a tea tray!) although we did have a go on some freinds sledge who were out with us. What an adrenaline rush, got up some speed I can tell you!! We got so cold and wet and took us ages to warm up!

here's hoping this week brings some good fortune xxxxxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 10/01/2010 20:24

Hi all,

Pops - understand totally - where would I be with out you all. We keep each other going no matter how we're feeling ourselves. It's testiment that two of you are now pg & still here - we must have a strong bond! i really feel like everthing is getting on top of me & the fridge/freezer seems to be the straw that broke the camels back! I'm sure it will happen for you soon! I'm on cycle 5! I also note in my diary EWCM, niggles, spotting, migranes, panic attacks etc!

I also love toad in the hole!

Stac I do hope you are right. A friend of mine ask why my status on fb was 'AAARRRGGGHHH!!!' to which I replied about the fridge/freezer & a row with DH & she replied it's cos you are preg!!! I replied back that I haven't tested & she's not that close that she knows the ins & out of whats going on so maybe thats my spooky thing like the dreams - but maybe I'm getting my hopes up!

Jo Yep we have kissed & made up - much more as 1 than we were this morning. He's still not talking about yesterday so I'm just gonna leave it.

Hi everyone else - how are you all?

Going with the raspberry and white choc babydust

popsy1 · 10/01/2010 18:46

Thanks jo will do
I meant to add to my post that, like most of us, search the internet for success stories, other threads, research, pros cons etc etc the list is endless! It didn;t do me a scrap of good. Chatting to you ladies has been more use I also make notes in my diary of symptoms etc so i can look back to see if thats how i felt last month etc, not sure thats a sgood thing either!
I haven't had many symptoms this month, besides backache for the last week or so so sure if its related. Maybe its the metformin doing its stuff, who knows!!

Cheesecake was scrummy naughty but very nice
xxxxx

jobobpip08 · 10/01/2010 18:32

Hi everyone

yes totally agree the internet is the devil's playground!

Hope everyone is ok, fairy stac hope you've all kissed and made up, life is too short to stay mad for long (the most I had was an arguement with DS over his constant mess - doesn't really count does it, apart from you can't win with a 5 year old lol!)

Feeling rather toasty tonight but I've had 2 days of clomid so I think that's why. I take mine at night and don't seem to get anything else besides.

popsy I understand exactly where you're coming from. A more mature follicle is good tho. Fingers crossed and good luck with your new job. Email me anytime (())

ven stay away from the early sypmtoms threads! (See my earlier comment re internet!)

milly you are a day behind me, I get my scan on the 18th.

How is everyone else?

Going with the raspberry and white choc babydust xxxx

stac14 · 10/01/2010 17:22

fairy dont want to get your hopes up hun but you sound eerily like me with the symptoms, I had a stinking cold, felt very crampy to be honest just really out of sorts. I really hope this is your month. Hows things with Dh now you any better? DP took me out shopping think he felt guilty (good) so got a pair not maternity jeans and a shirt from new look for the bargain price of £15

ven I got some stinking sore heads with the clomid but I have also had some sore ones since falling pregnant so you never know. Also friend had the pregnancy dream which made her test and she got bfp

popsy try not to get too disheartened, it took about 2 months for me to fall using the metfmormin, also if you feel nothing is happening ask to get the metformins dosage upped

geezerette I got bloods done cd21, 28 and 35 but no scanning but they did this every month think this was on cons request, I dont know how they can think your only oving at one side without checking it out. They are terrible for making assumptions buggers lol

millymolly clomid is a nightmare do you take yours at night? I defo felt this was the best way to avoid a lot of these side effects

Totally agree with you all that the internet is not always great as it gives too much info, and can freak you out so I try to stay away not always easy lol

Hey jobob clure kiwikat and pink how are you all? xxx

popsy1 · 10/01/2010 15:33

Hi Ladies sounds like a few have had a fiery weekend! Hope you have made up now. I blame everything on clomid! Although my moods are vile CD 6-10ish

CD26 for me and no symptoms at all so not too expectant (excuse the pun) this month. Starting to wonder if it ever will be???

Started a new job last week and have so much on with getting to grips with it all i'm hoping that will keep me occupied. Do you know that feeling where you just feel its all gunna end in tears? DH is saying that its all looking positive as i ov later and the follicle grew bigger etc. I know i must remain positive, just a little scared of getting too positive-further to fall.

Sorry for the moan.

Hope you are all ok. fairy your symptoms sound very exciting. When are you going to test?
I'm making toad in the hole (one of DS favourites) and raspbery and white choc cheesecake for dinner.
So raspberry and white choc cheesecake baby dust to you all
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Ps just had a thought sneak into my head, what would i now do without all you ladies? You have been so much support and relief for me over the last few months. Its bizarre as i wouldn't know any of you if i walked part you in the street! Thought i'd share that random thought
xxxxx

Geezette82 · 10/01/2010 15:25

Hi Stac, I had a day 10 scan last month but am not having any other scans. Also had progesterone blood tests, and am having another one this month. Nurse said if this months bloods showed I ovulated again then wouldn't have any more tests and they would leave us to keep trying on our own till our next appt in June. Is that normal?? They think I am only ovulating from one side, so thought they may do another scan this month but we weren't offered on .

Hope everyone else is okay today xxx

millymolly83 · 10/01/2010 13:43

hi everone on my second day of clomid. get really bad crap and really bad sore heads. but its worth it. didnt get any of this the last time that was 3 years ago. hope everone is doing ok. i have my scan on the 19th jan to check my eggs

Fairygodmother1 · 10/01/2010 12:53

Ven - the reserch is doing my head in - damn Google!!!! lol. I have locked all the baby books away in the spare room cupboard! I think I'm gonna dedicate the time being to losing weight.

It's on & off snow here but unless we have major snow over night I think it's back to work tomorrow!

Sunday Lunch sounds delicious!

Venetia2 · 10/01/2010 12:41

Fairy have my fingers crossed for you. Have looked back over the thread and it sounds like there's cause for hope for you.

I am going to try to occupy myself as obsessive reseach is making me nuts and checking if its snowing yet is also driving me insane, we are supposed to have heavy snow today, really don't want another day snowed in at home like last Weds, the novelty wore off very quickly. Think I need to go and cook the sunday lunch, as distraction...

Fairygodmother1 · 10/01/2010 12:33

ven sounds all possitive to you hon, especially with the dream. I on the otherhand is still symptom spotting too. More niggles this morning & boobs still sore.
CD26 here. Think I'm just gonna hold out till we as I know it's prob too early plus thats the day before hosp app.

Lets see where today takes me

Baby dust

Venetia2 · 10/01/2010 12:13

Probably should have said sore boobs isn't uncommon before I get AF, headaches are a mystery, don't usually have so many, or so bad?

Venetia2 · 10/01/2010 12:11

Hi all, sorry to fairy and stac about the rows. Was flat out on the sofa yesterday with the worst headache, very nearly in the same position as you but DH was understanding-fortunately he puts everything down to my clomid induced mood swings, even when I'm clearly being totally unreasonable.

Am tormenting myself-trying to spot symptoms that I really know aren't there. Have sore boobs and some minor stomach cramps-too early to be AF, usually pretty regular, and the weird headaches whcih have been on and off for about a week.

Just discovered the fertility monitor doesn't work if you are on Clomid, was just assuming hadn't ovulated. Now I know I might have am obsessed with how early I can take a test (today is day 20). Know I am being nutty and trying not to go on at DH, as he is even less likely than me to know if there is anything to be hopeful about-neither of us has any kids, so no experience.

New torment is reading the pregnancy threads about early symptoms and how early people knew.....arghhhh.

Oddly the most hopeful thing all week was the receptionist at work (who I hardly know) who stopped me on my way in on Friday to say she had dreamt I was nearly 9 months pregnant, sure DH thinks I'm bonkers but it made my day. (Clomid mood swings still in full force then!)

Sparkly baby dust...

Fairygodmother1 · 10/01/2010 10:59

Stac for some reason I lose weight better when I'm at work - I don't snack in the hols or anything, I just don't think I'm as active as when I'm on my feet all day with the kids! There's only so much wii fit you can do!

So not liking this hormonal crying this month!!!!

Hugs & baby dust

stac14 · 10/01/2010 10:45

thanks clure i was fine after ten mins, then last night my sis came up so the 2 of them got drunk, needless to say i wasnt happy. Men! Lol

fairy i totally agree you should take charge of the situation with the cons. Take a list of questions or worries you have. You should have a better response from them as its your first, we got the rough end of the stick as i have ds. I can understand why but didnt make it easier at the time. If the weight loss thing arises stress how hard you have been trying hun. Oops theres the control freak in me coming out lol

geezette i defo found less side effects at night, hot flushes were quite bad but it was easier to put up with than the other side effects. Dp wanted to buy me a fan in the middle of winter haha. Hope its better to you this month. What monitoring are you getting while taking clomid?

Hi to everyone i have missed. Hows things with you? All good i hope. Xxx
