If we are talking horses then I'm afraid I have but one thing to say: "My friend Flicka".

Barbie was a cheap whore. I never liked her (but for the 50's version).

Sindy had a slightly chubbier face. Chubby faces make me feel better.

cosmosis Ewww, eww, fanjo-boil-green-lake-of-pus tale. [vomit]

extreme If they don't hire you they are mental and have germs. That's my expert opinion.

Me - I had a Barbie but I hated her. For books it was Jill and her ponies all the way! And a good dose of Pullein-Thompson sisters thrown in for good measure too. 'Janet Must Ride' etc etc. Jolly riding crops, yar yar, foil the pony smugglers, win 1st prize in the under-16 jumping, and finish with a smashing tea!

laurielou · 03/09/2009 14:01

Dancing Queen, young & sweet, only seventeeeeeeeen ............

Ooooo oooooo

Any more gin going?

extremesitting · 03/09/2009 14:01

Extreme needs to whinge (how unusual!)

Dream job with dream company have been keeping me waiting. Initially decision was due in last Wednesday. Forward a week and a bit and it appears I am down to the final three. Decision due tomorrow. 3? 3?!!

I'm not usually a cocky person (and thats a serious understatement) but for once in my life I really thought I had it nailed. 3?! I've got no hope!!!!

Luckily whatever the outcome I'll be buggering off for a couple of weeks, so I can either hospitalise myself with gin consumption or I can chill, safe in the knowledge I have something (bar you lot) to look forward to on my return.... dramatic... me?!

PS: loving the puss story. I also have had a pussy lump on my delicate flower. You may find you need to revisit it a couple of times to make sure it is thoroughly emptied mind!!

triggerhappyblister Cagoule and blister-goo. Stylish.

triggerhappybaby · 03/09/2009 13:46

Hey hag good to see you! Welcome home.

cosmo I'll take your GTOD and raise you a huge car tyre of a blister encircling the skintag (sounds a bit like ginhag... hmmmm) I had frozen off from my belly last Friday. Was out on an interminable walk at the weekend, culminating in a flop down in a pub - thought I'd been sweating like a pig only to find, when I took my cagoule off, that the damn thing has burst and had coated me, and everyone I know, in blister-goo.

idealcamel · 03/09/2009 13:39

Yup, longwee, sounds like a plan.

It's my round - what are people drinking? I'll have an enormous port and lemon, seeing as it's autumn.

longwee · 03/09/2009 13:37

Hey ginny - good to have you back but sorry for building up your potential preggedness when it ain't. Kick in the shins from me. ..

Yup, ditto on the SWI lunacy. I am really quite bored of obsessing now - after 8 months of nut'n (much) I need something new to worry about. The palace has been a bit quiet for a couple of days so am guessing it might be a similar feeling all round...

Tell you what, shall we get pissed?

idealcamel · 03/09/2009 13:35

gin Boo sucks to lack of updiffed. Nice to hear from you, though.

Who has babyfailed? I only read the last page of the threat this morning.

gin & laurie Am pretty sure that hanging out here encourages the craziness, but also like all the people, so is difficult to fuck off. Am saving my posting for moments when I need to distract myself; like today, when I have been writing cover blurbs for books about motherhood.

laurielou · 03/09/2009 13:22

Hey gin glad to have to back. Sorry to hear about the lack of up-diffedness - what a sack of hairy bollocks.

I know what you mean about not wanting to leave the craziness comfort of the palace but also needing to stop obsessing.

Answers on a post card please.

ginhag · 03/09/2009 13:18

Oh fuck sorry lushes. Am not diffed.was all very fucking confusing, what with the blue line and all.

Been in cornwall, then 2 days flat out at work and a bit depressed, now trying to get sorted for sailing... Think I have extreme's tummy bug thing tho, feel crappy (literally).

Am also going to have to rewire my brain as being obsessed with the SWI business is not doing the rest of my life any good.have to somehow stop thinking about it or I will go fucking mental.don't want to leave the palace tho cos you lot makes oi larf.

cos I am delighted to hear that you have erupted.must be a relief.

scorp hope R2D2 stays the fuck away.

All babyfailers-bollocks innit.pints of wine all round.

Everyone else-drunken snogs.

I'm on the countdown to sailing now,had practise in Cornwall and can almost remember what to do!

I now have to work out a way to stay on what is (ostensibly at least) a TTC thread without getting obsessed with TTC. Hmm tricky.

laurielou · 03/09/2009 13:18

That do the trick?

longwee · 03/09/2009 12:57

I thought haggy was in cornwall for the BH weekend then in Greece in couple of weeks time. Just keen to know about her diffyness...

idealcamel · 03/09/2009 12:55

Will someone please knock me out for the next five days so that I can stop obsessively symptom-spotting, please?

Ta.

RunLyraRun · 03/09/2009 11:33

I'm lurking in a corner of the Palace, actually doing some work for once.

Just popped in to say:

  1. Cosmo - I bet your GTOD was awesome to witness and very satisfying (I love squeezing spots and teasing out ingrown hairs, so this is off the scale) - but I think we have finally reached the footthills of TMI.
  1. Jackie, Just 17, Bunty AND Mandy (especially the Christmas annuals - bliss). Enid Blyton: Mallory Towers AND St Clare's.
  1. Don't go looking for thehag in Cornwall - she's sailing round the Greek islands, innit?
idealcamel · 03/09/2009 10:48

Ooh, for all of you involved in yesterday's "will I find love if I admit to being a feminist" - I love this song

For some reason I always manage to put the paper in the wrong way round when faxing. May shed some light on the TTC right hole debate, now I come to think of it.

skihorse · 03/09/2009 10:39

camel Nope, just some remote scottish hell-hole. I loves retro, I've got a filofax and everyfink! Despite working at the cutting edge of communications technology I trust pen & paper! I love faxing I do. Seriously, I hate phone calls to utilities companies - I like to F.A.X. - it's a letter, delivered at speedy-time.

idealcamel · 03/09/2009 10:35

ski Faxing? How retro. I'd post pictures of mine on Facebonk.

Were you at Atlantic College, btw? Sounds suspiciously like my friend's description of the boarding school she had to leave because she was having too much sex fun and thought she might not pass her IB.

Scorpette · 03/09/2009 10:33

Ahhh, Chalet School. God, I want to read them all again NOW!

Barbie was defo common, the hussy.

laurielou · 03/09/2009 10:27

LOL @ ski your description of semi-grown tash & grey leather jacket is PERFECT for friend's hubby.

HAHAHA

laurielou · 03/09/2009 10:24

Sindy without a doubt, though I never did get the horse & carriage that I wanted to go with it. Used to borrow my brother's eagle-eyes action man as Sindy's boyf. Maybe that's where my obsession with shaved heads comes from.

Also Jackie. My friend & her boyf (now hubby) were in Jackie!!!! Stopped in the street & asked what they fancied about each other. She still has the copy now.

cosmo congrats on the GTOD. Whilst there is not such thing as TMI on this thread, that comes pretty damned close.

My RTOD has finished for another month, so here we go SWI again. Also boyf has spunk-in-a-jar appointment next week, & I have my appointment with poss dildocam 2 weeks later. Phew, its all go this month!

Who's with me on a trip to Cornwall to hunt down ginhag to find out her updiffed/non updiffed news. Selfish lady!!!

skihorse · 03/09/2009 10:22

Cosmosis - I believe such inflictions are more common with us riders, be it riders or cyclists. Sweaty vags et al.

wee Bunty and Mandy for me, plus the entire Enid Blyton collection, the Pullein-Thompson sisters for horsey lit - I was never really in to Jackie - the boys in the photo stories all looked like what we would refer to in modern times as "rat boys" - you know, semi-grown taches and grey leather jackets.

Scorpette It was very "modern" and it was a mixed boarding school. "Good morning new pupil, here is your room key, your list of rules and your 3 month supply of combined pill". I hated it - every single minute of it - although I did get to watch a disproportionate number of "slasher" videos. The matron was a geriatric old bitch who wouldn't have known the difference between mary poppins and freddy kreuger. I had the piss ripped out of me because I was a modern gal up from London and wore a clip-in bow in my hair a la Sarah Ferguson.

Cosmosis · 03/09/2009 10:21

I was a huuuuuuge chalet school fan! I was desperate to go there. I still have them all in the loft at my dad's house.

idealcamel · 03/09/2009 10:14

Bleurrgh. GTOD is just wrong. Cosmo, your posts should come with a health warning at the moment. Although yay! for disappearance of angry boil.

I read J17 (briefly) but was mostly about Smash Hits. Somewhere in my parents house I have the Brother Beyond flexi disk that came free on the cover.

And the Chalet School - kicked Malory Tower's arse, frankly. Boarding school! In Austria! Fighting Nazis! (only in one book admittedly.)

And Sindy every time over Barbie - my mother thought she was more "realistic" (wtf)?
