Ok Ladies... new thread, since the old one was getting too long and dragging my computer (and Kat's) down with it!

MrsD - cant believe you are 30 weeks already! So you found that cutting out the lactose helps? It will be almost a week for me and I have noticed some improvement, but not a lot. Of course, he is still getting a milk-based formula supplement to the BFing. I am going to switch to a soy formula and see if it makes a difference as well. Until then... God give me strength!!! LOL

Means - I hope you are taking comfort from the messages here, the lack of cramping is a good sign. Bleeding in early pregnancy is surprisingly common, and it can mean all kinds of things that do not mean miscarriage. So I hope that you get some rest and are able to not worry too much about the scan tomorrow. I hope that things look ok tomorrow on the scan too, as early scans are not reliable and i would hate it to worry you further. I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

babyblue3 · 17/09/2009 14:11

Means - I am with Scorps on this one. When I MC, I had horrendous cramps for a good hour before the bleeding started. And there was no brown blood either... I filled the toilet with blood (sorry TMI). There was no mistaking what was happening. I spotted early on with 2 of my pregnancies. Those times is was brown blood and both times the babies were fine. Try to think positive until your scan tomorrow. Makes you realize just how attached we get to our little beans... even this early on! I just about had a breakdown at Marco's first scan when all they found was the empty sac. Glad your DH seems supportive and is taking good care of you today.

And dont EVER think this is something you have done! My doc told me I was due for a MC when mine happened, since statistically 1 in 5 pregnancies end in MC. Anyway... we are here for you for support, since we have all been through this. Dont worry about long ME posts either... again... thats what we are here for! xxx

That sounds all positive, what the GP said. TBH i knew mine was a mc straight away, it was horrendously painful and my tummy was so sore.

Hang on in there x

Meanbeansmum · 17/09/2009 12:41

I've just come home from seeing my GP. He was so lovely. He checked my bp and pulse to check I hadn't had significant blood loss which I haven't. He checked my urine which had white blood cells in it, it suggests an infection of some kind, probably a urine infection or thrush. The Dr said that can cause localised bleeding in the vagina. I have no tenderness by my pelvis which is a good sign. He said he's 99.9% sure that I'm NOT miscarrying but I have to have a scan to find out if all is ok. I have an appointment for a scan at the EPU tomorrow morning. I asked if there was any point going if my bleeding worsens, he said yes and if it gets bad overnight I will have to be admitted for observation (I thought that was a bit dramatic but I think he was considering my blood loss in the past).

I feel more hopeful now but I'm so scared!

The nurse joked that when she had bleeding with her 3rd pregnancy, she went for a scan and it was twins......at that point I let out a little nervous laugh...lol!

Hang in there baby pip!!! We want you to be ok.xxx

Thankyou for all your support, it means the world to me. xxxx

Scorps · 17/09/2009 10:37

You have done nothing wrong at all. nothing. You are not letting oyur DH down if you do lose your bean, it's 'just' nature iyswim.

Easy for me to say now, i know where oyu are in your mind right now, but please know it is not your fault.

Scorps · 17/09/2009 10:35

oh you poor thing

When I mc (at 5+3) i had bad tummy cramps before the bleeding started, it happened quite quickly actually. My tummy swelled up too.

I think at this early stage its best to stay at home or pop to the GPs. Mine were very symapthetic. Keep your chin up.

Meanbeansmum · 17/09/2009 10:32

I woke up to brown spotting this morning. I panicked! Been crying for the last hour worrying, dh said I'm jumping the gun as I've had brown bleeding in pregnancy before. Just been to the loo again and I have bright red blood. Not much but some. I was just going to ring the EPU, no point now I suppose!

I don't know what to do with myself....I'm preparing myself that this is it...I feel like I've let my dh down.

I don't understand this, I was sick yesterday!!! I just don't understand???

Just going to rest and see what happens now. I know I didn't expect this BFP so soon but now it's happened I really wanted this baby to stick. I'm wondering what I've done wrong, was it the breastfeeding or would it have happened anyway. I'm praying the bleeding stops but I know I can't control this.

Dh is home today and is looking after me, I'm in bed with my feet up. I have a massive headache and I feel like my heart has been shattered. I must remember that I have 3 beautiful children and we will be blessed with another when the time is right. I don't have any pain down there at all, no back ache nothing. I just don't know what to think, I just know that red blood loss is not good.

I had massive red blood loss when I lost DS2's twin so maybe just maybe I still have a baby pip in there? I just don't know, clutching at straws now. I'll update as soon as anything changes.

Sorry for 'me' post wanted to let you girls know whats going on. I'll be ok whatever happens, what will be will be I'm just in shock, I thought this baby was a keeper.

Scorps EDD Xmas Day DD2

babyblue3 · 16/09/2009 01:01

Agree! Glad to hear all the little beans are staying put. We will have a woderful bumper crop of babies in the spring!! LOL

My Marco had a very fussy day yesterday as well as today. But last night, did he ever sleep well!! He went down at 10:15 and woke up at 4:15am, ate then back to sleep by 5am, then up at 7:30am. I could live with that sleep pattern! Too bad he only had cat naps during the day, then screamed himself silly fighting sleep in the evening, before finally falling into a dead sleep! LOL. Guess I cant have my cake and eat it too... at least not with this baby!

Scorps · 15/09/2009 18:58

Glad to hear our mini-beans are sticking

Meanbeansmum · 15/09/2009 13:01

I'm ok too.

I've given up my poas habit, it was no good for me. Doing a clear blue just before 5 weeks to see it only say 1-2 weeks freaked me out so I'm going teetotal! ;)

I've passed a mini goal too, my chemical pg that I had when bfing ds2 has definitely passed time wise.

I have a toddler to feed, my internet time is limited lol!

katnkittens · 14/09/2009 19:30

I'm ok, 5+2 and still here. I got a really strong positive on an ebay cheapie. It came up straight away and is about as dark as the control line so feeling good about it

Still praying for a sticky but feeling more positive as I have passed my own personal danger zone.

hello all
not been on for a while , just popping on to let you all know that I'm being induced tommorrow
really excited but also scared , how am I going to cope with 4 DC?
congratulations on all the BFP's , will post when I have had her

babyblue3 · 12/09/2009 05:28

Scorps - glad you are feeling so good... you def desreve it with all the stress DH has put you through... In my opinion, the "D" in DH should be replaced by "B" for bastard in your case Hope he realizes what he would be missing if you kicked his sorry ass to the curb. (sorry for the outburst... my DH getting on my nerves today so I am in a bit of a male-bashing mood) lol. Went out for a run this morning. Gone less than an hour. When I got back, baby was screaming, DD2 was running around in just her nappy, and DH was cursing that he was running late because I asked him to help me out by giving the kids a bath. He had the nerve to tell me that I was 'home all day' so why couldn't I manage!! I could have punched him! When I have a rough day, he doesn't understand and figures I should be able to manage. Meanwhile, he gets left with only 2 DCs for 45min, and is at the end of his rope! LOL... MEN!!!

Babyblue - i have only fed 1 of mine, dd. I fed her till 11 months when i miscarried. BF seems very common where i live (cornwall) and i see it all the time.

Kat - happy weekend sticky vibes. Dont you just wish sometimes oyu could wake up in x weeks and everything will have been sorted in your absence? Sometimes i wish that at mo; wish all the thoughts would go.

Sweetkitty - i don't really have any need for a doula, im very much a leave me alone in the corner labourer

I'm 25 weeks today, pregnancy going fab, i feel great with it, normal, and my tummy has really grown Still unsure of DH though. Bastard.

babyblue3 · 10/09/2009 23:49

Kat - What a huge milestone for you this weekend! I remember when I passed the 6.5 week mark (when I had my MC), it was the greatest feeling in the world! It was even more significant than passing the 3 month mark. Will be thinking sticky thoughts for you

Baby has been really good today, after a restless night. DD2 however, has been a real piece of work! These terrible 2's are going to be the end of me!! She screamed when I put her down for her nap, only slept 1.5 hours, and is now having fits every few minutes. She is definitely going to bed early tonight!!! I'm tellin you... NO BROODY THOUGHTS HERE WHATSOEVER!!!

Guess I should go get some cleaning done before DH gets home and wonders what the hell I have done all day!! LOL. My big accomplishment is making a curry for dinner. If we dont hire a nanny when my mat leave is over, we will DEFINITELY be getting a cleaner. I am a neat freak, and seeing the state of my house lately is just killing me!

Meanbeansmum · 10/09/2009 22:24

Babyblue, 2 years and a week ds2 bf for. The little tyke loved loved loved the boobies!!! He didn't want to give up. I slowely weaned him down to one night feed which was the hardest to drop. I made the decision not him (It was hard but I wanted dd and I was pg soon after ).

SK, I'm glad I'm not alone for thinking omg am I crazy some days lol!

sweetkitty · 10/09/2009 21:29

babyblue - your day sounds like one of mine lol, oh the joys eh?

scorps - cleaner would be a great idea, I also thought about a doula but I think a cleaner would be of more benefit

meanbeans - we can be fearful together, sometimes when I have a bad day I feel totally overwhelmed, what am I thinking, we get no help whatsoever, just DP and I and it's hard enough just now

babyblue - I lost my BFing in public inhibitions a long time ago, there are certain places where I won't do it, like on a bench in our local high street for example but I drive most places so if needs be fed in the car. I fed DD1 for 12 months, DD2 for 15, DD3 for 13, in fact we worked out that apart from about 2 months I have been pregnant or BFing since November 2003.

katnkittens - fingers and everything crossed for you it's a worrying time, when are you having a scan, I am hoping for 8 weeks, your big DD sounds adorable too, my biggest DD is 5 and she adores babies too she asked me the other day if I could have a baby for her
