Ok Ladies... new thread, since the old one was getting too long and dragging my computer (and Kat's) down with it!

MrsD - cant believe you are 30 weeks already! So you found that cutting out the lactose helps? It will be almost a week for me and I have noticed some improvement, but not a lot. Of course, he is still getting a milk-based formula supplement to the BFing. I am going to switch to a soy formula and see if it makes a difference as well. Until then... God give me strength!!! LOL

Kat- oooh so excited for your scan!! I hope you start feeling better soon.

We're also planning the snip for DH after this baby. I hate that it feels this definite but we really can't have any more after this.

Today is infant and pregnancy loss awareness day- so hugs to anyone who has loved and lost.

katnkittens · 15/10/2009 10:20

babyblue My DH is 100% getting the snip after this one! I hope they'll do it at 30 but I don't see why not...

I got my scan date and it's next Wednesday! Really surprised as I'll only be about 10 1/2 weeks but not complaining!!

redtent not sure about my first as he was induced early but my last 2 babies arrived exactly a week late so hopefully this one is going to follow the pattern

Am still feeling sooo sick... the only thing I can stomach are cornflakes (warm with sugar) so am eating loads of those. Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon!!

babyblue3 · 14/10/2009 19:00

So I think I may be accomplishing the impossible... have gotten both babies down for their nap AT THE SAME TIME!!! This is the second day in a row they have done this! Woot Wooot!! I was even able to have a civilized tea yesterday with a girlfriend I haven't seen in ages. I am keeping everything crossed that this is going to stick and not just be an evil trick these children are playing on me!!

Now that my big dinner is over and done with (even managed to send my mum home with a large enough care package that I only have enough food left for one more meal!), I can start planning DD2s 2nd birthday and Marco's baptism. Italians go all out for Baptisms so it will be held at a banquet hall (the guest list is up to 65 people!). Managed to get the invitations all printed up last night and put in the post this morning. Next have to order flowers for the tables, a cake, and bonbonnieres (which I think I will do myself rather than hire someone to do for me... tight budget and all this year). Whew! My work is never done!

On a more thread-related note... DH going to see doc about getting the snip next week! Hopefully he doesn't play the chicken and decide against it. May have to threaten him with a DC#5!!!

Kat- do you usually go over dates? All mine were born around the same gestation (40+10ish).....

MrsD - Hope the time passes quickly for you.

BabyBlue-Hee! can you freeze some portions??

(apologies for 2 posts... ds 1 and 3 are dancing to Mama do (uh oh! uh oh!)and distracted me.....

redtent · 14/10/2009 18:38

snort @ no-shag months!! Means- still thinking of you and willing the time to roll on for a month of 'fun'.

Blondie- Congratulations and lots of sticky vibes.

I've got no idea about when I'll ovulate following this. Last time it happenned (I fell pg accidently ovulating 5 days early and then m/c at 5 and a bit weeks) I ovulated at day 20ish but then that was more normal for me then. This last year I've had shorter cycles (25-28 days) and always have a 12 day LP after ovulation. I've got opk's but would value if anyone has any experience....

DH is quite looking forward to trying again...and despite inner debates about yet another August baby (3 out of 5 of us are August babies) and possibly boy...Ds 2 is doing so well at school we're kind of thinking ...don't stress!!

babyblue3 · 13/10/2009 19:06

Congrats Blondie Hope your bean is very sticky

Welcome Lavender. My DCs are also very similar in age to yours: DD1 - 11, DS1 - 10, DD2 - 2, and DS2 - almost 3 months.

MrsD its getting close! I also had all day sickness return towards the end. Not fair and not nice considering my initial morning sickness lasted 5 months!! Hopefully the next few weeks will pass quickly and your LO will come safe and sound. Your section is the day after my DD2s 2nd birthday! Remind me... do you know the sex of this LO??

kat hopefully your little bean will behave and come after your exams. Dont know how you can manage Uni and pregnancy at the same time! Uni is stressful enough without having pg issues to deal with too! Kudos to you!! When is your first scan??

means glad you feeling better. We will get you through the no-shag months

chico if you are trying for your first, good luck! Hopefully we dont scare you since we are all trying (or have) 4DCs!!

My big dinner went well! I now have enough left overs to last for a week. I need to come up with ways to disguise them so that the DCs dont complain. Anyone have a recipe for brownies that may or may not include turkey, turnip or green beens?????

Thanks mrsdisorganised-love the name btw . Did another one and it was def. positive . Dh sort of grimaced and fell asleep-i told him he must have robosperm and he should be well proud ! he always worries for 9 months .

mrsdisorganised · 12/10/2009 21:39

fakeblondie.....Congratulations!

katnkittens · 12/10/2009 15:06

That happened to me with a first response and Im 9 weeks now

Yea early on the cheapie tests are definitely fainter. I did one last week and it was darker than the control line but the ones I did early on were very light!

Congratulations!!

fakeblondie · 12/10/2009 13:53

BTW can anyone confirm or otherwise the cheap tests are fainter than the tenner tests ?

fakeblondie · 12/10/2009 13:05

Hi-i have dc 17 14 and 6 - been ttc no. 4 since about 3 weeks ago !
had mirena out 1st sep - had af 7-14 - no period and did pregnancy test which was negative.
Did another negative this morning and when i pulled the thing out of handbag at home (did it in town ! ) it had turned positive !
Am OMg OMg - i`m so excited but so nervous ! x

katnkittens · 12/10/2009 10:30

redtent... I had 2 miscarriages at 5 weeks earlier this year and even though it's early it still knocks the stuffing out of you, it was hard to be around babies for a while...

MrsD - OMG how quickly has that gone!!!! Hope mine goes that quickly!!

Rainbow - hang on in there missus, you'll get there!! Get shagging!!

I'm ok, 9 weeks now and feeling pretty rough (which is good). I had my booking in appt with the midwife last week and I'm waiting for my scan appt to come though. Starting to get exciting now!! I still havent't told the kids yet but I can't believe Jessi (11) hasn't guessed as she's pretty savvy...

I'm panicking as I'm supposed to be back at uni in Jan with finals in May (due date is 17th May)... could be interesting, I dont know what to do? I sat all the important exams in my life heavily pregnant (GCSEs and A Levels) so I guess I'll give it a go. I'm just worried in case baby is early or something.

Lavender, you're dcs are similar ages to mine, I have a DS aged 13 and 2 DDs 11 and 5. Actually DD2 is 6 next month.... aggghhhhh!

redtent · 12/10/2009 09:06

Hey guys,

Welcome Chico.

MrsD - glad you're enjoying the last pregnancy. That's what I'm hoping to do...hopefully for a 2010 baby.

I had to do a work related thing yesterday that meant holding a very tiny baby....how I managed to hold back the tears I don't know. I spent the whole day being very 'public facey smiley' as I have to keep things quiet in my job. Goodness knows I wanted to tell people but if they thought we were ttc it would probably start a panic riot.

Anyway DH is looking forward to trying again next week .....men!!

mrsdisorganised · 11/10/2009 18:08

Welcome to Chico...good luck too!

Rainbow, yep the pg has gone by rather too fast! Been trying to enjoy all the good bits as it will be my last! Glad you're feeling happier, always makes a huge difference when the whole family is happy too.

rainbowdays · 11/10/2009 17:54

MrsD - wow I can hardly believe that you are at the stage of birth yet.... seems to have flown past. Not sure you would say it has gone fast, but it feels like a quick pregnancy to me Sorry to hear the sickness has returned, I hope that the builders are a bit more sorted by the time you get back with the baby.

Lavender - CD 3 means that I am 3days into this cycle, cd1 is the first day of your period/af. and UCL is usual cycle length which for me is about 27days. It is all the technical jargon that I have picked up! It is so easy to slip into jargon here!

Chico - hi, this is the madhouse of people trying for their 4th baby!

I am feeling much happier today, especially after the whole family going swimming and having a great time.

chico193 · 11/10/2009 13:28

Can I join? I have been ttc since my wedding in May but we didn't dtd enough around the right time for most of those months. I was getting too stressed about it so I stopped everything in September and this month think I have just OV'ed and have dtd 3 times in what I hope is the right window.
Have quite irregular cycles that can be very long so am not too good with tracking or anything.

mrsdisorganised · 11/10/2009 13:25

Hello everyone!

Have 5 mins (a rare thing these days!) wanted to send support to Means, Redtent and hope that you'll be ok, so hard to go through.x

Welcome to lavender and blondie, good luck to you!

Kat and sweetkitty hope you are both getting on ok, first bit is usually hardest I think.x

Babyblue, you sound as harassed as me! Don't know how you can even do dinner parties etc when you have little help! Hope it all went well anyway.

Scorps, hope you're ok at the moment, seems like you've had a tough time but I hope you can enjoy your pregnancy, and get some well deserved rest!

Rainbow I will keep sending good vibes xx

I am going in for my section on the 26th october which is a bit too close!! Had awful morning/all day sickness return (probably due to stress etc!) and am still being sick every morning so feeling tired! Dh will be home for 5 weeks following the birth so will be brilliant as he hasn't been here at very much....curses to working away from home....
Have only just got hot water and heating back in the house...no more boiling pots hooray! but have know idea where baby and I will be sleeping when we come home as the building work is in full swing....

Girls are on their october break now and I'm so relieved, not good at the school routine etc!

Anyway hope everyone is ok, and that I haven't missed anyone out... will try to get on more often!

lavenderkate · 10/10/2009 23:31

Thanks for that rainbowdays.
I have dd12 dd11 ds3 and have had 2 mc after that, hence the deciding enough's enough for some time.
Am anxious but keen.

What does CD3 mean?

rainbowdays · 10/10/2009 23:19

Truely welcome Lavender, I will not try to intro everyone else, but just tell you about me.

I am one of the older ladies here, at 41years old. I have ds1 age 6, then 15months later arrived dd (just about to turn 5), I also have 18month old ds2. I had a miscarriage just before ds2. And since ds2 was born I have had 4 more miscarriages. I have just had tests for repeated miscarriages, but it seems there is not much to pin it on, other than old age, not that the docs said this, they were very diplomatic!!!! . I am boringly on cd3 now and on the ready to try again soon phase.

In case you did not get to read previous ttc#4 threads, we sometimes call the pregnant ladies carrots here, as in carrots before the donkey/horse...... not that I am calling myself a donkey, but just the wierd term we coined to refer to those who had reached the aim of being pg. This thread has been going long enough that a few here have already had their number 4's (or 5 in one case!) and they are encouraging us too.

So I think currently we have about 2 regular posters who have stayed with us following the birth of their babies, and about 5 that are currently pregnant, but we probrably need to do a roll-call to work out who is still here. If I have counted right then we have 4 now ttc#4 still! But perhaps someone else can come and correct me if I have it wrong here.

Right it is very late and I should be in bed asleep! night everyone

lavenderkate · 10/10/2009 23:02

hey rainbow you made me jump then when I saw my name at the end of the page I was reading coyly.

Hi, everyone. Rainbow invited me to join you from my lonely thread as I am 39 and ttc no4.
Hope thats ok?
(Feels like an intro to AA meeting)

rainbowdays · 10/10/2009 22:45

Lavenderkate - a big HELLO and welcome,,,,, well you did say you would come and join us here! Hope to see you post here soon.

rainbowdays · 10/10/2009 09:27

redtent - to hear that you are miscarrying, it is hard to start getting your hopes up, then have them dashed. Take it easy on yourself and hope you get some tlc.

means - good to hear you have turned a corner, and are out of limbo, it is good that the levels have started dropping, at least you don't have to go through any further injections or surgury. We will be here for you helping you get through the next three months of abstaining..

For me the wicked old witch turned up, so I am on the try again phase now. My hormones are very messed up, and I think a second month of not being pregnant is probrably a good thing, but part of me keeps thinking about my age factor and that time is running out. Sorry I am still in the af arrival depression.... will be a bit more cheerful in a couple of days hopefully.

redtent · 10/10/2009 07:58

hey all.

It wasn't over. I was pregnant but it hasn't stuck. Pregnancy tests were positive after I last posted and then faded to negative- today. Temps dropping. So now I'm waiting for the inevitable. still not bleeding but I really can't see how a pregnancy can remain viable in this situation.

Meanbeansmum · 09/10/2009 22:08

Babyblue, I hope it's just a growth spurt hunni.xxSending you some october stress free vibes.

I feel fab at the moment, I'm moving on and everything seems ok now, like I've turned a corner, limbo was horrible! Being good for 3 months will be a nightmare but has to be done. I'm so releived my levels are dropping.

How's everyone else? How are the new baby bumps, everyone feeling well or still sick (((hugs))).

babyblue3 · 06/10/2009 22:56

So I am thinking that Marco is either getting sick or going through a growth spurt. He was so cranky yesterday... I was having flashbacks of the early colic days when I couldnt put him down. He barely slept all day, then was up every 3 hours last night. Today, during his morning nap, he kept crying out, woke up to feed in the middle of the nap (something he never does) and then slept much later than normal... about 5 hours. He ate, stayed awake for about 30 mins, and has now been asleep for another 2 hours! On top of him being out of routine, DD2 has also been out of hers the past 2 days. She usually sleeps for about 3-4 hours (1pm-5pm), but has only slept one hour the past 2 days, and is cranky by 6pm. My 'witching' hours are getting longer and longer it seems! I am soooo tired! I have been trying to get stuff done while the 2 are both asleep, but I can only do so much in an hour, then I have to deal with 2 cranky kids. Sorry... just needed to vent. I think the stress of planning this dinner party, plus DS1s birthday, plus taking care of kids all day alone is getting to me. Will be happy when this weekend is over! October is a super busy month for us (Thanksgiving, 2 DC birthdays, and Hallowe'en).
