Ok Ladies... new thread, since the old one was getting too long and dragging my computer (and Kat's) down with it!

MrsD - cant believe you are 30 weeks already! So you found that cutting out the lactose helps? It will be almost a week for me and I have noticed some improvement, but not a lot. Of course, he is still getting a milk-based formula supplement to the BFing. I am going to switch to a soy formula and see if it makes a difference as well. Until then... God give me strength!!! LOL

Kat sounds like you and Ava are settling, lovely news. I bet she's so lovely and snuggly.

All is fine here, I made viability!!! Whoop 24 weeks!!!!

KatnKankles · 03/06/2010 19:41

It is indeed

Things are going ok here.. Ava was a bit of a screamer and I struggled a lot with breast feeding. She was feeding so often that she would end up covered in my blood when she started sucking so I decided to give up after a week really disappointed but since we put her on bottles she is so much happier and settled. Plus I was starting to resent feeding her which wasn't good for either of us.

Anyway, she's gorgeous and I want to keep her this age forever (well maybe once she starts sleeping through the night lol)

How's everyone?

Loopy - I would think you should be down to 0 real soon. Do you have to go for bloods to make sure?

Loopy - I know where you are coming from. I lost my little bean in October 2008 and got preggers in November 2008 with Marco. I wanted desperately to go back to work Preg in December. I was so upset by my loss, but wanted another desperately. When I found out I was preg, I felt slightly guilty because it happened so fast, but at the same time, happy for my new baby. We are women... we can handle all these complicated emotions at once!!! LOL

Diege - How are you? Any good threads for larger families? Have not really checked, since I seem to keep coming back to this one

Diege · 23/05/2010 14:01

Many congratulations KAT on the birth of Ava - what a beautiful name ,and a great weight too! Will look out for you in the larger families threads (though I'll let you off ttc-ing for no.5 just yet ). Congrats again, that's lovely news

Meanbeansmum · 23/05/2010 13:14

Loopy, lol, after labour I wouldn't give too hoots, I might cry at the wasted money on all things pink though lol!
I don't think it's too early, I think it's very natural for you to want to think that way and nobody would blame you. My friend had a 13 week loss, the next month she tried and the month after but no luck. We are hoping this is her month. She feels guilty, almost disloyal to the baby she lost but she mustn't feel like that. She is still grieving but she also wants to look forward to the baby she so desperately wants and I can understand that completely. Massive hugs.

BB, good taste lol! I am running out of names so it must be my last baby lol!

Rainbow and Loopy, hope you are both ok.xxxx

Steph, how's lacey? She must be gtting big now.

Kat, Ava is a beautiful name, beautiful classy ring to it! I bet the kids are smitten with her already. I lurked in MAy on the other place and my gpod they've gone popcorn in the last few days! Too many babies making me broody even though I'm pg lol!

babyblue4 · 21/05/2010 21:20

Kat Well done and congratulations on Ava!! She is lovely!! I had a tonne of issues with BF DCs #1 and #2. With #3 and #4 I made sure to get lots of help and I perservered to BF for 10 months (and counting) with both. But all you can do is your best, right? Good luck!!

Means Sophia is a lovely name (not just saying that cause I have one of my own ). We seem to have similar taste in girls names... lol... if Marco would have been a girl, he would have been an Isabella!

rainbow so sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you are doing as well as can be. You are in my prayers for a sticky baby soon.

Loopy How are you managing???

Meanbeansmum · 21/05/2010 18:50

Kat, congrats again. I had cracked bleeding nipples with ds2, they healed after 7 days and toughened up, I weent on for 2 years then lol. All the best with it, you are doing an amazing job!

I had my rescan today, all is well and Sophia is still a girl. Oh but I have a throat infection, feeling rough, on antibiotics.

rainbowdays · 21/05/2010 12:46

Kat - congratulations, so happy for you. I am sure her big brother and sisters are loving her too. (ps. if you get past 8 weeks with breastfeeding it gets so so so much easier, since she is your last why not have a go at getting help to get you through the first few weeks and give yourself the easiness of breastfeeding in the later months?!)

Hi girls!

So sorry for keeping you waiting!!

Ava Rose was born at 4.45am on Tuesday the 18th! She weighed in at 8lb 14oz!! My biggest baby yet but she looks so tiny.

She was 6 days late exactly like her sisters. Birth was textbook really, 2 1/2 hour established labour, I got to the hospital nice and early so plenty of time to play with the gas n air although I threw it to one side in disgust at the end

She came out so quickly she had a little purple face and looked bruised for a couple of days but she's pinking up nicely and is very cute and beautiful.

I'm breastfeeding and my nipples are very very sore, cracked and bleeding but trying to perservere. I've never had it easy with BF so probably won't last much more than a month or so but that's fine with me. She'll get the best bits.

Thanks for your best wishes guys! I'll try and check in when I can.

rainbowdays · 19/05/2010 13:33

Oh piglets, KAT I knew you would do it when I have no access to fb. I can only get certain internet access from work (phew that I can get mn). So I assume from means that things have happened.
With that assumption I will say:

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter KAT.

Obviously if I am a bit presumptious and means did not mean that you have had the baby - then just get on with it girl!!!

I will check on friday night on fb to see which it is!

Meanbeansmum · 18/05/2010 21:26

Sorry for typos, wireless keyboard and it misses out letters as I type, drives me mad!

Meanbeansmum · 18/05/2010 21:16

Kat has news for us!!! I'm sure she'll update asap. Rainbow.nooooooooooo. So unfair. I hope you are ok.

Loopy, I battled with my hormones after my ectopic,it took 6 weeks for hcg get back to 'normal'ie 0 and then ovution kicked in and I was so desperate to be pg again. I'm glad I went on but it was a scary journey.xxx

Kat - well today is your day you think, so will be watching out for announcements on fb. Hope it all goes well or has gone well if it has already happened. Thinking of you.

I had a chemical pregnancy, ho-hum, trying to ignore this one as it was so early. I guess we will be trying again, but it hurts each time to lose another.

Meanbeansmum · 16/05/2010 10:14

Kat, you need to check in every morning!!!! We are officially on babywatch for you now!!!!!

Loopy, hope you are ok.xx

Loopy - so sorry to hear your news, I hope you are doing ok?

Kat - I tried to come on yesterday to wish you happy due date, but didn't manage it. Sorry to hear you are getting the infuriating stop/start contractions. Just remember this it the last ever time you will have this "when is this baby ever going to get out of me", in a couple of weeks it will all be over (obviously hopefully sooner rather than later!). I second babyblues suggestion of SEX, but if not have you tried the Evening primose oil? Worked a dream for me last time.

Hi to everyone else.
As for me, just incase you don't read the other threads I am on - Yes I am...., but I am not celebrating as it is a long journey, early days, and been there/done that before, so just waiting to see if this time it is going to work, too many m/c to want to count another, so not acknowledging it yet.
