Ok Ladies... new thread, since the old one was getting too long and dragging my computer (and Kat's) down with it!

MrsD - cant believe you are 30 weeks already! So you found that cutting out the lactose helps? It will be almost a week for me and I have noticed some improvement, but not a lot. Of course, he is still getting a milk-based formula supplement to the BFing. I am going to switch to a soy formula and see if it makes a difference as well. Until then... God give me strength!!! LOL

Ah - there was me thinking there was an additional nutty person preggers with no.4 who had joined the thread!

Yes, I am waiting for the extreme knackerness to kick in with this one, am hoping a have another few weeks of feeling ok-ish. It's really hard being pregnant and having 3 to look after as well - was bad enough last time with only 2!

Well only been testing for the last 24 hours, and all ok so far apart from after breakfast, which I gather is quite common (from looking on mumsnet Grin). Thought they would give more advice about diet actually. We tend to eat fairly healthy meals anyway, it's more the snacks I'm struggling with, in terms of what to eat that isn't too bad! Yes think they will be doing extra scans, but guess I will find out more when I see the consultant.

fatbottomgirl · 17/05/2011 16:24

3kids forgot I had named changed since last post was Pinkclouds. I am 29 weeks. The other thing is am exhausted nearly as bad as first trimester, and its driving me mad Sad I want to be able to do stuff but just haven't got the energy.

How are you finding levels are they stable or all over the place? Have they given you any help with diet? Do you get an extra scan to check on baby ?

3kidsnobump · 17/05/2011 13:48

Fatbottom yes I'm sure they will get used to another brother if we have another blue baby!

It took them 3 days to get back to me and tell me I had GD - so don't think they are always that quick in getting back! Have had the finger prick machine thing since yesterday, so having to try and fit that in 4 times a day, as well as everything else! Guess it just takes a bit of getting used to. At least it is only for about 12 weeks (hopefully!)

How many weeks are you fatbottom?

fatbottomgirl · 16/05/2011 18:52

3kids Thats what my two eldest wanted as well, but have to say they came round very quickly and are now delighted to be having another brother.

I went to the midwife last week and she testing for GD as I am measuring two weeks big and had glucose in my urine, but I haven't heard from them yet so guessing the bloods must have been ok. How are you coping with your GD?

3kidsnobump · 15/05/2011 20:00

meanbean yes am 25 weeks now! I haven't posted for ages either - tis very busy with 3, can't imagine what it will be like with 4!

pinkclouds we have not found out the sex with this one, but I have a feeling it may be another boy, which would also give us 3 boys and 1 girl. The older 2 keep telling me they want a sister, but am trying to explain that these things don't come to order!

This pregnancy seems to be going really quickly! Only down side is have been told I have gestational diabetes with this one, which i haven't had with any of the others, so more problems with this one unfortunately. Guess at least I have been lucky with the others!

Meanbeansmum · 12/05/2011 21:09

HEllo! Long time no post. Sorry I've been busy, 4 kids kinda does that to me. :D

Pink! Yay a little man, you must be so excited!

3kidsnobump, you must be about 25 weeks now! I hope you are feeling well.

How are all the oldies doing? FB has taken over the world lol.xx

pinkclouds · 16/03/2011 15:38

Hi, I'm still around but guessing everyone is busy with their bumps. I had my 20 week scan yesterday, all was good and we are having DS 3.

I am delighted as it keeps DD as the only girl in the family also I can fit the 3 boys in one bedroom which won't cause any disturbance to the everyone.

All worked out for the best I think, just need to find a name now. Boys names are so hard! Smile

Hope everyone else is keeping ok, would be lovely to hear some news.

3kidsnobump · 15/03/2011 16:53

Thanks meanbean

I'm 17 weeks now - is going very fast! Just haven't really got much time to think about it with the other 3 keeping me busy!

Don't know where everyone else has gone - guess they haven't got much time to post with all those kids to look after!

Meanbeansmum · 06/03/2011 21:53

3kids, congratulations, have a happy and healthy pregnancy.x

How is everyone doing?

3kidsnobump · 31/12/2010 08:29

Morning everyone. Hope you all had a good xmas!

Well I think we have good news! Had been feeling rather sick for a few days, so thought I would do a test just in case - and BFP! Am hoping that this is definately a new pregnancy, but am assuming it must be as I did a test 2 weeks after the MC and that was -ve, and I also now definately feel pregnant, although not exactly sure how many weeks as no AF after the MC.

So hopefully this one will turn out ok - I really won't be getting excited until I have a 12 week scan, and see the baby is actually ok this time.

Meanbeansmum · 21/12/2010 13:37

Hi peeps.

Welcome to the newbies. Number 4 is definitely worth it!

Kat wow, congrats, your post made me all broody. No more here though.

Loopy, congratulations!!!!! Wonderful news.

I'm so full up with a cold. The baby is the same, I hope we are well for xmas day.

Merry christmas ladies and babies...oh and bumps ;)

pinkclouds · 16/12/2010 13:03

Congrats perpetually 4 girls how nice and the like you say plenty of hand me downs. Sounds great to me. Grin

3kidsI was at the midwife yesterday and she gave me a date of the 29th July so that makes me 8 weeks on Friday. GrinI tried to get her change it as I'm fairly convinced its about the 3rd of August but she wasn't having any of it. And no chance of early scan either so that has been booked for the 14th Jan. Still it will give me something to look forward after xmas. Grin

And as for trying to keep it a secret NO CHANCE Blush. I live in such a small town and everyone in work guessed really quick, as I work in a bar and stopped having a glass of wine (and occasional ciggy) after work, so they all knew.

Then at the midwife yesterday I saw my neighbour who is due in Feb, and one of the mum's from school so know doubt it will be all over town by now Wink.

perpetuallypregnant · 15/12/2010 21:54

Had my scan yesterday and looks like I'm having another GIRL - so I'm joining LOOPY in the 4 girls club (my poor DS is the oldest and he is not impressed).

I'm very pleased, as there will only be a year between dd3 and 4 it means lots of hand me downs and lots of savings for us :) Hopefully with them being so close in age they will be good friends too, my other girls are all 5/6 years apart so it's totally different.

perpetuallypregnant · 12/12/2010 23:52

Hello and sorry for crappy attendance Blush.
Hi to Mrsdisorganised :) I'm still around and joining you with 5 DCs.

Nice to see some new faces and congrats on the BFPs PC and BM - those first few weeks are tough.

I'm now 19+3 and have my scan on Tuesday. DH wants to keep the sex a surprise but I'm too impatient!! I want to know so not sure what we're going to do. I have a DS then 3 DDs and I really have no preference.

Girlsayearapart, I'll only have 11.5 months between DD3 and this baby - slightly scared but quite excited that they will be so close in age. I do have a strong feeling that it;s another girl too.

babyblue4 · 07/12/2010 17:24

3kids The house is always noisy and I have very little time to myself, but I cant imagine life without them! I have a lot more space between my babies than what you ladies seem to have, so that makes it easier. I have DD1 - 12, DS1 - 11, DD2 - 3, and DS1 - 1. The fact that both DH and I work full time makes it even more hectic in our home. A big family is nice though. I will never be lonely! LOL

3kidsnobump · 05/12/2010 21:52

Evening everyone.

Thanks for all the words of wisdom on MC. Well despite out best intentions for waiting for the next AF before trying, we had several glasses of wine the other night, and ended up having unprotected sex anyway!! soooooo who knows what will happens now. Just would seem a bit weird to try and use protection when we want another baby anyway?

Babyblue how r u coping with 4 now? I am so desperate to be pregnant b4 I go back to work - glad there is someone else who knows how I feel!

pinkclouds how far along r u ?

babyblue4 · 05/12/2010 16:54

Hello all :) Nice to hear from you again MrsD (though I do keep up on FB).

Welcome to all the newbies :)

I wanted to put in my 2 cents worth re miscarriages. We had a MC at 6.5 weeks and were devastated as it was our first after 3 successful pregnancies. After the ok from the doctor, we decided to try again right after (we were on a bit of a time crunch as I wanted to go back to work pregnant after my mat meave from #3). We got pregnant on the first try! Our DS2 is now a happy 16 month old. I guess its personal choice, but I wanted to be PG as soon as possible. And even though I was quite far along with #4, when the due date of my lost angel came around, I was still quite teary.

Anyway... on to happier news. Very happy for all the BFPs that are happening on this thread! This thread has been going for more than 2 years, so its like round 2 happening now!! Grin

I'm off now... good luck to all those TTC. #4 is hard work but sooooo worth it!

pinkclouds · 04/12/2010 15:05

Hi to all the newbies and everyone [big wave].

Well I'm feeling ok so far just really exhausted. Smile. Waiting for morning sickness to kick in, but so far so good.

My DD has found out (they miss nothing do they!) and is delighted although we are trying to play it down a bit at the moment.

mrsdisorganised · 30/11/2010 19:44

Hello all,I'm so pleased to see the thread is still going strong!!!

Alot of you won't remember me, I joined the lovely ttc#4 ladies whilst ttc#5, (had 4dd's at the time, then we had ds1!).

Anyway quick update, ds1 is now over a year...very much a 'boy' started walking at 10 1/2 months a lot earlier than any of the girls, I couldn't believe it and was quite sad as I can't have anymore children and wanted to make the most of my baby!! I'm still breastfeeding whenever he wants and thats lovely although it hasn't been without bouts of painful thrush, we just went on very strict no sugar, yeast, wheat diets and lots of natural yoghurt which has cured it each time.

The girls are brilliant with him but he's spoilt I'm sure! They help alot, which is nice as dh still works away from home so it's just me and the dc's through the week, the house has gone out the window....I have decided that only the minimal things get done day to day with a top to bottom big clean once a month, and more time spent on playing as they're getting older so fast, plus I am shattered in the evening!!

Anyway good luck to those that are ttc and hello to those that remember me (and newbies of course!) will pop in again. Grin

Is surprising how common it is to miscarry - I guess we are just lucky to have got to no. 4 before we lost one. It does make you realise that this pregnancy lark really isn't straight forward. I will probably just be even more paranoid than normal until we get a bit further on. I'm just very glad I have 3 gorgous kids already to take my mind off it! It must be so much harder if it happens on your first pregnancy.

Loopsy I thought mine was bad enough at 8 weeks - must be far worse at 13 weeks.

Question for those who have unfortunately lost a baby before - did you wait to try again, or did you just go for it straight away? Am probably thinking we will wait until I've had 1 period, otherwise I won't have a clue where we are with things.

Girlsyearapart my mum and dad now know we are ttc no. 4, as I had told them about the pregnancy, but tbh especially now we have lost one I couldn't give a monkeys what anyone else thinks!! Worst thing is work really - but I'm sure they will get over it - that is saying we manage to conceive fairly quickly - DS2 took nearly a year, although managed to get pregnant straight away after him, so hopefully it won't take too long (as long as this one sticks!!) I just also think it's way easier to get the 'baby bit' all out of the way. Plus my oldest 2 now get on so well, as they are so close in age, that definately makes up for the hard work when they are small together!

girlsyearapart · 29/11/2010 17:22

3kids yes people think we are mad too but I would far rather get the whole nappies/sleeplessness over with in a shorter amount of time.

I thought I was miscarrying dd3 and said to Dh I wouldn't be trying for a third after that. Thankfully there was a heartbeat at the scan and she was fine but it was about 3-4 days of thinking I'd lost the baby which was awful.

So 'nuff respect to those ttc ing after losing one already.

My family know I want a fourth but would be unimpressed to know we are ttc ing..

My mum had my sister then me 11 years later so never had the lots of small children at once thing. But we cope well I think so stuff them all Grin

Hi everyone, can I join too?

We currently have 3: DD - 4, DS1 - 3, DS2 - 4 months.

We had actually conceived baby no.4, but unfortunately lost it about 2 weeks ago when I should have been 8 weeks Sad

Anyway after a difficult couple of weeks, trying to now get into a more positive frame of mind, and carry on, as we definately want no.4 (although this WILL definately be our last baby!!)

Girlsyearapart good to see there is someone else who likes small gaps between their kids!! I'm sure people think I am nuts about having the kids so close together - but I'm actually finding the 3 yr gap between DS1 & DS2 harder than the 11 months between the first 2!

On the gender front, as we both already, it won't really matter what sex it is - I have kept all our baby stuff as just couldn't bear to part with any of it, and always wanted 4 kids anyway!!

buttonmoon78 · 29/11/2010 12:59

Thanks Loopy, and congrats on girl #4! Things are not so bad here. DH already had a few positive phone calls so I'm hoping for good news this side of Christmas!

It's not just ms with me tho - think I've got gastroenteritis. Was really poorly on Saturday, had constant nausea since and now doing really eggy burps (sorry - tmi!) like when I had it a few years ago. Yuk yuk!

Welcome girlsyearapart - it's always nice to see people who are as mad as us!
