Im sure he would, although it may involve the pub and copius amounts of beer. hes just text me to say they are having a bbq. Im stuck here with a mountain of paperwork but at least its quiet. Just put the roast on so they best have left some room.

Ive just rewarded my self with a jammy ceam sandwich biscuit and a cuppa, i love eating the jam off the top and then licking the cream off. Its good to give yourself rewards. Im also running to the loo every 5 mins as am on a fitness drive which includes drinking shedloads of water.

A radio station in Australia ran a phone-in competition to find the most embarrassing moment in listener's lives.

The final four were:

4th Place
"While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and started to run amuck.
I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons.
I told her that if she didn't start behaving herself, right now, she would be punished.
To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, 'If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma I saw you kissing Daddy's willie last night.'
After this enlightening exchange, the silence was deafening.Even the tellers stopped what they were doing.
I mustered the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank, with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard as the door closed behind me were screams of laughter."

3rd Place
"It was the day before my 18th birthday. I was living at home, but my parents had gone out for the evening, so I invited my girlfriend over
for a romantic night alone. As we lay in bed after making love, we heard the telephone ringing downstairs. I suggested to my girlfriend that I give her a piggy-back ride down to the phone. Since we didn't want to miss the call, we didn't have time to get dressed.
When we got to the bottom of the stairs, the lights suddenly came on as a whole crowd of people yelled SURPRISE'.
My entire family - parents, and parents, aunts, uncles, cousins as well as my friends, were standing there. My girlfriend and I were frozen on the spot in a state of shock and embarrassment for what seemed like an eternity.
Since then, no one in my family has planned any surprise parties.

2nd Place
A lady picked up several items at a discount store. When she finally got up to the checkout, she learned that one of the items had no price tag. The checkout girl got on the public address system, which boomed out across the store for everyone to hear, "Price check for Tampax supersize". But it got worse. Someone at the rear of the store apparently misunderstood the word Tampax' for 'Thumbtacks', and replied in a business like tone, his voice booming over the same public address system: "Do you want the kind you push in with your thumb or the
kind of one you belt in with a hammer?"

1st Place And the winner is . . .
This happened at a major Australian University, during a biology lecture. A professor was discussing the high glucose levels found in semen. A young woman raised her hand and asked, "If I understand you correctly, you are saying there is as much glucose in male semen as in sugar?" The professor responded, "yes, that's correct", adding some statistical data to his lecture. Raising her hand again, the girl asked, "Then why doesn't it taste sweet?
After a stunned silence, the whole class burst out laughing. The poor girl turned bright red, and as she realised exactly what she had inadvertently said, she picked up her books, and without another word, walked out of the class - and never returned.
However, as she was heading for the door, the professor's reply was a classic. Totally straight faced, he answered her question. "It doesn't taste sweet because the taste-buds for sweetness are on the tip of your tongue and not in the back of your throat."

maddyd, humprheys - so sorry that you guys are feeling blue i have never knowingly suffered with depression although often wondered if i am heading down that road, especially recently. My mom suffered from it a few years ago, and watching her staying in bed all the time always crying, made me so sad to know there wasnt much i could do make a difference. I really hope that you guys can find help and support from others who have gone through it, to keep it at bay and make you all smiley happy people again.

Maddyd - do you think you're dp could come and take my dh out as well. I am busy trying to get an assignment finished for my uni course and all he is doing diy that needs my help most of the time. Not getting much done, feel like crying and going out for the afternoon. Got loads of housework to do and loads of paperwork for my business. Its just never ending isn't it.

Have taken to rewarding myself for even getting 30 mins of stuff done with a cuppa and a double choccie cookie.

will try and find a joke to keep you all smiling.

Hunphreys & Hellcat, Thankyou for your advice. It makes you feel better when others feel the same and understand. Ive never been able to talk about how i feel to any rl friends, i just put on a show really. I have one friend who does know if im in my no talking mode. But we dont delve too deep, im not good at talking really. Apart from on here that is!!!

I will get through this, i have done before its just a minor set back thats all. I should be showing by now and would have felt the baby kicking. Its no wonder i feel crap.

Plus i work 32 hours a week from home, look after a two toddlers a teenager and my other half, and cook and do the housework.
Moan Moan Moan Moan. Actually my dp is a great help. he has taken the kids off for the day so i can work and instead im chatting to you lot.

Morning all.
at Diddle's lie in too! Been up since 4.30. Ds2 has his bottom molars coming through. Does'nt normaaly get bothered by teeth but he was up and grizzly last night.
Rachel- Thankyou very much!!! Can't wait.
Maddy,Humphreys- I suffered with bad depression for years and stopped taking ad's 2 yrs ago. I did feel the old feelings coming back after the mc but somehow managed to struggle through without them. It helps to talk about your feelings, anxieties etc. My depression used to hit badly because I never spoke about my feelings, just clammed up. Now i try to talk about everything (swear it drives everyone mad 'cos I don't shut up)
What a miserable looking day!!
Hope everyone has a good day. xxx

HumphreysCorner · 12/06/2005 11:19

Morning ladies

Feeling a little brighter today.

Maddyd-I am with you all the way and know EXACTLY what you are feeling. I came off ads 4 years ago and refused them after the birth of DD 2 years ago. Each day is a new challenge and I struggle to speak if I don't have to. I find that when I'm driving along and see the furthest field in the distance I just want to be there, far,far away. Anyone that hasn't been through it doesn't understand and come out with the usual-What have you got to me miserable about when you have a lovely house, DD etc. These comments just don't help at these times. I understand about the sleeping, wide awake all night then fall asleep in the day-not good when you have a 2 year old.

I do hope you won't need to go back on the ads. Have you anyone else to talk to that has maybe been though it before themselves? Last time I had my work colleagues as a few of them had been through it. My mum is quite good at saying the right things-it took a while for her to understand what was wrong as you don't usually look ill with anxiety and depression so she couldn't see that there was a problem and told me to pull myself together-it took one of my colleagues to phone her up to get her to see. As I really want another baby after my MC I refuse to take any more ads.

Always remember that you are not an awful mother and never will be. Love and hugs to you xxx

It is lovely to hear there are some Blossom Hill drinkers-none of my friends and family will drink it (more for me ) Must go down the Co-Op and see if they have the 3 for £10 offer on.

Well, must go and do something constructive. Will check in later.

Love to all

Ive got a nice quiet day working ahead of me, dp is taking the kids to the outlaws so i should be able to finish the staffs comission. Its such a pain in the bottom job that i need peace and quiet to do it.

Had an awful day yesterday, i hardley spoke two words all day, i do hope the mc doest start my pnd again. Ive been so exhausted lately that ive been sleeping in the afternoon and still going to bed at 9. I will be strong though, i dont want to go back on ad,s. Everything seems such an effort though and i know im distancing my self from the kids. I feel like such an awful mother at the moment. Id rather read and shut myself away rather than play with them. I bet that sounds awful to those of you that dont have children, it does to me, i cant explain it either.

Xena · 12/06/2005 09:25

Diddle your lie in. I've been up since 7am tidying and cleaning. In a mo I've got to take DS to church parade and then he wants us to visit the 'Enviromental Centre' which has its open day today he went there with the school on Thursday and want to show us what they did.
Have a good day

Hello All hope your all having a good weekend, we have been to Greenwich Park today. Although we only live about a 15 min drive we went on the train and then on the Docklands Light Railway. DD1 was funny whilst on the train she asked a million question and wasn't convinced that it was the train moving not the trees and houses DS has become really cynical though, we were trying to convince DD1 that her and DS were driving the DLR (as there is no driver) But he was telling her 'of course were not' and also telling the carriage 'I know i'm not drving!!'
Anyway enjoy the rest of your weekends
And HC i am joining you in that glass of Blossom Hill as that is what DH bought home yesterday
Much Love
Xena xxx

HellKat · 11/06/2005 16:41

Diddle- Nope not at all. But annoying all the same. Even the thin pads seem to feel icky atm. I'll give it one more day then switch to pax if still making mess.

Diddle · 11/06/2005 11:36

HK nope only had pics of Damian on his own.
looking adorable of course.
You be careful with those tampax, don't get an infection, thats the last thind you need, are you bleeding heavily?

OP posts:
HellKat · 11/06/2005 11:22

Diddle- Nope have'nt managed how to do it . No idea at all. Did I send you the one's of dean's neice and Damian?
Humphreys- Poor you with depression. I battled severe depression for years but have been off my ad's for 2 yrs now and felt great. But then again I'm so lucky to have a wonderfully supportive dp. Is there anyone you can talk to about it? Someone to just listen?
Cori- Fab idea about taking June easy. Imagine how relaxed you'll be when it comes to ttc. I've decided to say sod it and wear Tampax. Can't put up with wearing these poxy things any longer!

HumphreysCorner · 11/06/2005 09:40

Diddle · 11/06/2005 09:21

Humphreyscorner - sorry to hear you're not on top of the world today. I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be at the moment, especially with the warm days. You could do with sitting in a paddling pool in the garden have a lovely image of you now, glass of wine in hand.

Morning ladies

Wishing you all a nice, relaxing weekend.

I'm just tring to rise out of this deep depression that has hit me like a brick wall. DH doesn't seem to understand but then he didn't when I suffered from it twice before in the past. Perhaps things will improve when I go back to work next week and get my scan out the way next Wednesday morning.

Love and hugs to all

Hi Guys,
Am feeling good today. Went out after work yesterday and had a few drinks, enjoying one the few advantages of not being pregnant and TTC.

My Birthday is next Saturday so I might give TTC this month a miss and just enjoy June and have some fun.

HellKat · 11/06/2005 06:00

Rachel- Thankyou! Emailed you.
How's everyone?
