Diddle - Men hey! What are they like! I'm sure he'll sort his head out!
I'm feeling o.k thanks hun apart from feeling we haven't BD enough at all over the weekend and i will not be expecting a BFP at all. I think our timings were all completely wrong, of course i blamed DP for it (as you do) and that as you can imagine went down like a ton of bricks! So not getting my hopes up one bit. Dont even want to test when it comes to it! Dont think i will need to.
Apart from that i'm feeling o.k!

Diddle · 31/05/2005 14:09

not sure what the kids thought, i think they liked it, all apart from one he wanted to go home and play. but i thought it was ok, was busy when we came out, they were queueing down the street. Good job we went early.
DH was a bit of an arse over the weekend and made no effort to enjoy himself, which just annoyed me and ended up ruining my weekend. But we've had a major talk and you know what men are like they bottle things up and then explode rather than talking about their thoughts. Well DH was bottling up until the w/end, then exploded mainly about the babies and being so down because of it. we're ok now and he seems to be alright. not sure what to do with him, he's very worrying

missed to you matey Hows your day going, are you feeling ok today?

Diddle · 31/05/2005 14:00

HELLO!!!!
here i am.

Xena so sorry to hear how insensitive your family have been, i have a sister who is much the same, doesn't talk about it and in the beginning she asked a few questions but sent more time talking about herself and her friends that are pregnant which really upset me.
I would try and break the ice. If i say i'm feeling rubbish or down about it, she doesn't aknowledge what i've said at all, and when i told her about my rose trees, in memory of my babies and my wristband, she made no comment at all. I haven't said anything to her as this is the sort of person she is, she's wrapped up in herself and i didn't really expect much more from her, but it is very hurtful.

Lottielou - Hello, i've been to the Sealife centre, did you forget?? glad you had a good weekend, ours was ok, could have been better.
Plenty of BD though, not sure if it has been at the right time and i'm convinced that i will get a BFN this month, but we will see, not long to go before we can test. Then the stress will really begin.

Maddyd - i think you should visit the docs too, but from what i've heard it is completely normal for your AF to take a while, so don't worry about it. Love the jokes by the way, you're on form today.

Wishing chair - big welcome to you, we're a great group very chatty and everyone is really supportive, glad to have you here.
how are you feeling???

OP posts:
wishingchair · 31/05/2005 13:19

Hi everyone - can I join you? Here are my stats:

wishingchair

age - 30
dh - 35
living in - Surrey
children - dd 2.5 years
m/c - discovered missed m/c on 14 Feb 05 just before 20 wk scan (baby was 16 wks-ish), m/c next day

Just got to the point when we feel ready to try again so I'm making the tentative move onto this board! Got af at the mo then its all systems go (kind of). Going to try to stay cool and relaxed and just see what happens.

Hope we all have some good news soon!

Xena - very upsetting, agree with lottielou to try and break the ice if poss. I got really upset when one of my closest friends hadn't got in touch with me. I called her in the end and found she was so worried about me and cared such a lot but thought I'd want some space. That wasn't true and I'd have kissed her if she'd turned up on my doorstep but she thought she was doing the right thing.

xxx

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 12:40

Xena - Dont apologise for being angry. You have every right to do so. But if you dont express that anger and hurt then there cud be a drift made with you that will take longer to put right if its not sorted now. x

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 12:39

DIDDLE ?????

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 12:39

Xena - Arghh! How annoying! It is awful when people dont acknowlege it hun. It doesn't make it right but some people dont know how to handle it and what to say for the best. Her way of not saying anything is very distressing for you but try talking to her and ask her why she hasn't mentioned it. It may take one push from you to open the subject up and you may find she will tell you exactly why she hasn't mentioned it. Some people just dont have a clue. It happened to me when i had my m/c so i aksed people not to tread on eggshells and if they had questions to ask me about it not just ignore the hell i had gone through!
x i hope that helps huni x

Xena · 31/05/2005 12:35

Sorry about rant I'm so cross with her though

maddyd · 31/05/2005 11:50

Bless him Xena. Give him a from me.

Sorry about your family, some people eh??? I find it the hardest when people dont acknowledge my ms when they clearley know what has happened. My sil had her baby the day of my D&C and she is still to ask me if im ok

Xena · 31/05/2005 11:39

Lottielou I'm OK today Got really upset and angry last night though. I have 2 sisters and a brother my older sister was the person I called after my DH when I had the scan that showed the baby had died, My Mum and Dad called my brother and other sister. My brother and sister in law called and said how sorry they were etc (they live up north we don't see much of them)
My younger sister however hasn't called at all (she lives closet out of everyone to my house and calls about once a week) & last night at about 8.30pm she and her DH and DD were on my doorstep (had just put DC's to bed) Its mine and DH's anniversary today so she was dropping of a card, DH opened the door and I went as well and they just stood there laughing and joking and didn't mention the m/c didn't say they were sorry for what had happened. DH and I weren't saying much they were just laughing and going on about their DD. She is about 28 wks pg so I thought at first maybe she just felt arkward but to say nothing FFS.
I phoned my other sister I was saying that I don't expect everyone to go on about it or feel sorry for me or anything BUT TO NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE IT???

Xena · 31/05/2005 11:28

MaddyD

Why is it cold at christmas?

Because is Decemberrrrrrrrrr

Why did the traffic light go red?

You would too if you had to change in the middle of the street!!

As told by DS (7)

maddyd · 31/05/2005 11:15

The nice thing about being senile is you can hide your own Easter eggs.

Just before the funeral services, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked,
How old was your husband? 98, she replied.
Two years older than me.
So you're 96, the undertaker commented.
She responded, "Hardly worth going home is it?"

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 11:02

LOL Maddyd - Good one!

maddyd · 31/05/2005 10:59

Im working but got time to post a joke

An elderly woman from Brooklyn decided to prepare her will and make her
final requests. She told her rabbi she had two final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Bloomingdales. "Bloomingdales?" the rabbi exclaimed. "Why
Bloomingdales?"
"Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week."

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 10:14

P.s Haven't had time to read the thread back since friday but will do later x

maddyd · 31/05/2005 08:46

I do xena. I think i will pop to the docs just to see what he says, he may even give me something that could kick start my periods. I cant stand my life being on hold like this

Diddle · 31/05/2005 08:45

xena - i know what you mean, i am desperate to be pregnant, not to replace my babies but because i want another one so much.

Won't be on here much going to the sealife centr ein 30 minutes, just getting contacts details for the kids ready and first aid kit, drinks etc.
far too much to take with me.

Xena · 31/05/2005 08:17

DYKWIM?

Xena · 31/05/2005 08:17

Thanks Twiga. I think MaddyD that I feel that until I'm pg again I won't get over the m/c. I'm not saying that one baby can replace another but I want another baby.

maddyd · 31/05/2005 08:09

Thanks Twiga, yours are similar to mine in the way the bleeding clears up after mc quite quickly then bleeding a about a week later for about 4 days. Thing is ive really had no af since the mc which was assisted with a D&C. Im literally counting the days now, its 47 days. I just want to get back to normal so we can try again. I dont know wether to bother the doctor or not or wether he will say it just takes time.
