How Early did you find out...............

How many weeks were you when you fouund out you were pregnant?

My first pregnancy i was 5 weeks but this time i have just worked out that i found out when i was only 3 weeks...is this normal? or am i having twins / triplets lol

First time teh day before my AF was due.

2nd time was 9 DAYS after conception!!!

Did a test for a laugh one night when I was drunk and bored. AF wasn't due for another 5 days (I have a 31 days cycle).... DH and I had only had sex once that month and he withdrew! We were giong to start trying 2 months from then so I had stocked up on cheap tests from Boots.
WHHHHOOOOOOOPS! Dd is now 9 months old.

I am on day 25 today and nrmally have a strict 28 day cycle what is the soonest you think I can test.

Is it too early to test 10 dpo? According to ff I ovulated on day 10 so 10 dpo tomorrow. What does anyone think, should I test or not, if so what type of test should I use?

5 weeks, we were trying so I was testing wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early every month.

being an 'oldie' didn't find out until I'd missed 2 periods - GP's wouldn't entertain doing at test til then! no predictor kits back then!

first time 3 weeks tested by dr's 2nd time less than two weeks as was due whilst on holiday, af didn't arrive therefore knew...positive result following week from dr's (2nd time twins)

Tested on CD27 and my sysle is usually 30-35 days..

It is when your period is due embryo is 2 weeks old (roughly) but you are classed as 4 weeks pregnant. I tested the day after I thought AF was due so found out at 4 + 1 weeks. Same with DD. Although both times something told me AF wasn't coming I knew the day after BD with DD and a few days after with DB, don't ask me to explain it, it was a strange feeling.

Ahh. I am getting confused as I have an NHS book which say at the end of your mentural cycle you will be 4 weeks pregnant.
In my Birthing magazine it says et the end of the cycle you are 6 weeks pregnant.

Now which do we believe???

Wendy - I'm afraid you are mistaken. You ovulate 2 weeks before your period is due, so the embryo is 2 weeks old, but you are classed as 4 weeks pregnant, as pregnancy counts from LMP date.

Although it is only 4 weeks from one egg to be releast to the next it the embryo is 6 weeks old by the time your period is due. This is because you allow 14 days for the egg to make its way down the fallopian tubes. That is how it is 6 weeks!

Did I make sense then?

I think I am now confusing myself!

I had not missed my period either....wendy you have now confused me i thought you were 4 weeks from the day your period was missed!!!

with ds I just did a test one morning as had a feeling, only 2 weeks after period due, I was!! with dd knew on conceiving, just did.

I hadn't missed a period though, I had sore boobs and took a test on the advice of the pharmacist. I assure you that I was definitely three weeks pregnant, it is definitely possible.

If you do the test on the day after you are due to come onto your period, at that point you are already six weeks. It is exactly six weeks from the second the egg is releast to the time you would normally be expecting your period.miss your period.

I used to wee on the stick but this time i decided to use a pot and dip the stick into the urine....not sure if this helped!

I used a normal clear blue on the wednesday and got neg then on the friday i used a clear blue digital and got a pos and of course i had to re test and got another pos!
