Hi there

I've posted on here before as I've had three very early mcs in the past year, all around 4 weeks.

I have a 3.5 year old DD, so I know it can be done!

Anyway, saw my GP a couple of weeks ago and am having blood tests next week, but continued ttc this month and started feeling symptoms in past day or so (sore boobs, nausea, tiredness, frequent urination). I'm on CD24 today. Did a test this morning and got a pretty strong positive. Thing is, I'm sure I'll start bleeding in the next few days as per the previous times.

I'm taking vitamin B6 in case it's a progesterone problem and also low dose aspirin in case it's a clotting problem.

My first (successful) pregnancy was fine really, although afterwards my placenta showed some weird stuff so I'm wondering if this is causing problems now.

Just wanted a bit of advice/support if anyone else is in the same boat!

Thanks
MLM

Hi mlm
How many weeks are you now? Could be just a bit of spotting - some people have this when af is due but are pg.
I have had a cp and a mc and am still ttc and want so much to be pg but on the other hand will be so scared when it happens. Sept would have been my due date for my last mc and want so much to be pg again. I am due af mon so fingers crossed.
I hope af stays way for you. Fingers crossed. xxx

Hi Shyla01

I know what you mean, every little twinge is a nightmare.

I think my fears may be about to come true. I went to the loo a couple of hours ago and I think (although hard to be sure) there was some very light brown spotting when I wiped (sorry if TMI!). I'm on CD26 today, the same CD as when I started spotting last month and then mc'd.

I have my blood test appt next week and have made a follow up GP appt too, so will ask her for a referral I think.

I did start aspirin whilst ttc, around the time of ovualtion, although some things I've read say to use it for two or three cycles prior to ttc. Who knows?

I wish you lots of luck. Feel free to PM me!

still doesnt even feel real. although i have an appointment with mw next week. might start believing it a bit more then.

did you start the aspirin while ttc?

i have been advised to try it but doc doesnt seem to know when is a good time to start!

messy i am in the same position as you. just has bfp after 3 mc. it is so horrible. i'll never enjoy a bfp again

af isnt even due until this weekend so i am fully expecting to bleed any minute.

neolara were you ever given a reason for you mc? and did you do anything diff for your successful preg?

im hoping for a scan at 9 wks this time as 2 prev mc have both been just passed 8 week mark.

anyway we can hold each other hand messy

neolara · 15/07/2009 20:24

I hope my story gives you some hope. I've had four mc, have two children and now am 32 weeks pregnant again. If it's happpened once, it CAN happen again.

A strong positive at this stage sounds good. Hopefully you'll get through the next few days ok. The next few weeks will probably be horrible but I've found it helpful to just try to take one day at a time. Try and get a scan at around 8 weeks as a heartbeat and a fetus of 8 weeks size corrolates with about a 97& chance of it all going well. (Personnaly, I'd avoid a 6 week scan as even if you see a heartbeat then, the chances of it all going wrong are still relatively high compared to 8 weeks.)

Good luck!

Firstly congratulations wow a bfp that is ace
Secondly you must be dreading the next few weeks I have lost 4 now at various stages from 6 to 12 weeks. I also have a ds so I know I can do it too. See we were clever at some point!
The thought of a bfp is a mixture of pure exhileration and utter terror.

From all the advice from my consultant there is nothing other than what you are doing to do, unless they come up with a firm reason in all your bloods. Mine came back fine, they say that is usually the case. No4 did have a genetic problem however and would never have been able to live full term regardless of what I had done which helped in a weird way.

My consultant said the asprin has been found to have success, who knows if it helps allay some small fear it is worth it. The chemist suggested the dispersable ones and said it was better for 'asprin babies'

If I were you I would go and see your gp and make sure that you have early scans and as much support as your local epu can give you.
I will so be keeping my fingers and toes crossed, good luckxx

No idea I'm afraid, maybe speak to your GP and see what they suggest? Has someone advised the B6 and aspirin?

Keep all my fingers crossed for you

Good luck
