A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Well ladies, I thought I'd better start us a new thread

May it bring us all good luck, see us through happier times, and at least two new bundles of joy

Am sure life must be v hectic!!! Try not to stress too much about Christmas - the most important thing is that you have your lovely family round you, and just enjoy them. There'll always be more Christmases!

We're off back to the UK on Tuesday until the 28th then here for New Year. Have just sent back all our pressies with dad in his car which is quite handy!

What are you doing Poppy and Nandos?

Hope everyone is well - it's just started snowing here, so am hoping that by the time ds wakes up from his nap that there might be a bit settled for him to see

I'm fine. Toby five weeks on Saturday. Life hectic x a lot. House a tip. Got soooo much to do before Christmas!

What are you all doing for Christmas and New Year? We're just staying at home this year, taking it easy.

monkeybumsmum · 15/12/2009 16:23

Boo to you too

How you doing?

BeckyBendyLegs · 15/12/2009 16:13

Boo!

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/12/2009 14:03

Poppy not sure how I have coped with DS1 at school and DS2 at nursery. It's been the hardest month of my life so far but we've coped... with sticks holding up my eyes some days.

poppy27 · 11/12/2009 09:51

Wow becky I can't believe Toby is almost 4 wks! It seems to have flown by So glad you are managing on broken sleep. One of my friends had a 3rd child this yr and she has coped immensly well considering the other 2 are both at school, have clubs etc and in the past she had v bad pnd but so far this time seems ok.

MBM Plans are good takes away the feeling of helplessness that you feel when things are not happening naturally. Hopefully now the endo has been removed and you feel something is being done to help your mind will relax a little and ttc will be less stressful.

nandos bet you are looking forward to your first xmas as a mummy

I have promised ds xmas tree will be put up tomorrow. Have spent days looking for new lights as old ones are really past it. V hard now to find nice fairly lights

My friend who has been ill had a bit of a deterioration and ended up bk in hosp but has now begun her radiotherapy and her dd told me that seems to have helped as prob she mentally now feels she is fighting it.
Praying she gets better soon.

Anyway must go as still have rakes of xmas shopping to do (and lights to find!)

Love poppy xxx

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/12/2009 17:10

mbm that is good. My fingers and toes are crossed for you xxx

Enjoy your party!

I can't really rest in the daytime even though Toby sleeps so well as have the other DSs to worry about and entertain - but I feel surprisingly ok on broken sleep. Long may it last (the feeling ok, not the broken sleep that is!!!!).

monkeybumsmum · 10/12/2009 17:04

Hello 4 weeks old already Where does the time go? How are you doing? Great re sleeping, hope you're catching up while he's quiet?

Can't be long as out to work Christmas party in half an hour... How are you Poppy and Nandos? Hope you're both okay?

Had my appt with specialist last night, and am still feeling happy He was sooooo lovely and reassuring - I had pretty bad endo apparently which was all taken out, so he said it's looking good now We've got 6 months to try on our own, and then we are putting a 'plan' into action - I'll go on Clomid or Menopur injections, they'll stimulate ov and do insemination! Am so happy that he's going to take control if we're still trying then... feel like a weight has been lifted!

Anyway, enough about me - I really hope you're all okay, are you all ready for Christmas? Can't believe it's so close!

Have to dash, love to all xxx

Hello guys! How are you all? I'm fine, still in baby fog, Toby is 4 weeks on Saturday. He sleeps all the time!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/12/2009 08:17

Oh mbm big hug to you. I really, really, really want it to happen for you.

monkeybumsmum · 03/12/2009 15:19

Becky So glad things are going well, bet you can't believe he's almost three weeks Hope you're managing to sleep when you can, 4 hours a night must be making you a bit of a zombie! V cute re DS2
BTW, forget about the housework - it'll still be there when you start to emerge from the lack-of-sleep-fog in a few weeks, so tackle it then!

Poppy How are you doing? How's your friend? Must be a very difficult time at the moment
Did you manage to celebrate your anniversary? I hope so! How many years have you been married? Time goes so quickly doesn't it...

Nandos How's your mum? I hope you're okay in what is bound to be a very worrisome time... I'm thinking of you and hoping for the best x

Things are okay here - am finally starting to feel a bit more back to normal after the op. DH accused me of being obsessed about getting pg last night I was v upset. Am feeling really down about it at the moment - you know how all of a sudden it hits you that you're not as happy as you thought you were? I am just desperate for another child, so much so it hurts, and I'm so scared it's not going to happen. Am sure you know exactly how I'm feeling all of you It's just difficult, but am sure will pick myself up in a couple of days and manage to put a smile on my face again.

Hello all

Toby is 17 days today and things are going ok. I'd forgotten what it feels like to exist on 4 hours sleep a night! But we're coping. The DSs are ok, DS2 is very fond of Toby and keeps wanting to kiss him, DS1 is a bit more distant. He's not that bothered really but then I think they both realise that newborns don't do anything and that's boring!

Poppy I feel for you.

Nandos how old is your little baby now? He must be changing so much and so different from Toby!!! I can't imagine being a few months down the line.

I need to do some ironing while Toby sleeps... you should see this house IT IS A TOTAL TIP!!!

monkeybumsmum · 28/11/2009 09:30

Hello!

Becky Good luck when DH goes back... Am sure that you will be fine, although the thought must be pretty daunting. How's the feeding going? How are ds 1 and 2 doing? Are they enjoying being big brothers? Must be lovely to have three, although immense hard work at the moment I'm sure!

Poppy I'm so sorry about your friend Life just is not fair sometimes. Maybe your AF was late due to stress? It must be a horrible time for you, and poor you having to tell the guides. You must've been very brave.
Yes, the op was pretty awful, didn't have a clue how painful it would be, esp my shoulders/neck/diaphragm afterwards. There was one point the day after the op when I really scared dh by basically not being able to breathe for the pain - was crying and making raggedy sounds and he was terrified. Felt awful .
They told me straight away that they took out the cyst, and that they also found 'light' endometriosis and took that away too. I suppose that's got to be positive, but am wondering how 'light endo' can interfere with fertility that much?
Am going back on the 9 Dec to see specialist, so hope to fnd out the next course of action then. Started 'playing chess' again last night as the CBFM says we're coming up to ovulation - was v weird as have still got stitches in - dh was v gentle bless him!

Nandos How are things going with you? Hope your little bundle of joy is doing well, and that you've managed to see dh recently?

M2O Hello if you're lurking, and lots of love x

Right, better go and have a shower now - haven't been out the house for a week, and desperately need to get some cat litter so am off to brave the pet shop! Luckily I have my aunt with me to look after ds - he is a nightmare there, he loves all the animals and normally refuses to leave. At least somebody else will be there to drag him out for me

Have a good weekend all xxx

OP posts:
poppy27 · 28/11/2009 00:21

Glad to hear you are coping becky Cannot believe that 2 weeks have passed so quickly!!!

MBM hope you are feeling less sore today. Laps are horrible procedures! I had one 3 years ago to "check out my infertility" and it was very painful, sore shoulder from gas travelling upwards and very sore tummy from stiches/op. To top it all, after all that they said I was "fine"!!! Which is obviously not the case or I would get pg easily like others do

Have you had the results of your lap yet? Hope it was helpful. Just rest and take your time recovering from it. Allow yourself to be "looked after"

I have had vile week. Friend with tumour took a bad turn last wkend and ended up bk in hosp. She lost all co-ordination etc. Home next day but her dh is hoping the consultant will allow treatment to begin earlier now tumour is having an effect. Am praying radiotherapy will shrink it away. Had the awful job of telling my girlguides on Wed night what her condition is and why she is not coming along. Just awful.

Also AF almost wk late but pmt was raging so knew pg was out of question. Began this morn with a bang so have been feeling awful today.

Got school fair tomorrow so just off to bed now as have to get up qt early and dh and I have just polished off bottle of sparkly wine we got on wed for wed anniv. Also got friends coming round on Sun for luch and catch up so will need to go and buy some goodies and do some baking tomorrow. Was meant to have been last weekend but dh and ds were ill!!!

Hope you all have a good weekend.
Love Poppy xxx

Just a really quick one from me - I had my laparoscopy on Friday, so am feeling very sore still and not really able to do anything.

Becky he's just gorgeous! Please try not to get too upset re the feeding, I know just how difficult it can be You must do whatever you must do, and really, the most important thing is that he's getting fed. It doesn't matter how. Big hugs to you x

Nandos So sorry to hear about your mum, when's the operation to take it out? My goodness me I hope she's okay and the doctor has it wrong. Am sending you a big hug too. How's your little star doing?

Poppy Lots of love to you too - how are things going? Did you see your cousin? Don't blame you if you didn't....

Right, have to go as can't stand up for too long... Op went well but never realised how painful it was going to be.
Will be back soon!

Oh becky lovely to hear from you and so glad all is going well - chaos only to be expected right now but then we usually have a degree of chaos anyway!!

Hope the feeding improves for you soon (I remember those sore nipples!!)it's quite stressful when it doesn't go smoothly.

BeckyBendyLegs · 19/11/2009 13:14

Hello guys

Sorry to take so long to send you a message. I've been in baby fug / chaos since Saturday.

Toby Henry was born at 3.55pm on Saturday (seems ages ago now!) after a 5 1/2 hour labour (my longest yet)! He was born back-to-back so it hurt more than my previous two but I puffed like a mad thing on the gas and air and managed ok with a bit of screaming and 'I can't do this' etc. We were in hospital for two days and came out Monday and I've been feeding him with mixed results - oooh you should see my poor nipples right now. We've been topping him up with formula though to help as he is sooo hungry. He sleeps ok, not brilliant, so in a bit of a zombie state right now and poor DH is suffering! The DSs are too and the house is a total tip!!!

I hope you are all well I will see if I can find the photos DH took as I think they are here somewhere...

nandos · 17/11/2009 17:22

Becky! Congrats to you n your family

Nice name you've given to your baby boy..cant wait to see his pics..

poppy, sorry 2 hear abt your friend. i really hope she recover soon.
i have a friend at work b4 and shes been on chemo for a yr now but recently got a bad news. her stomach cancer has spread n doc has told her to have someone 2 take care of her kid(adopted child) cos theres no hope of getting well am too sad to cry right now cos' it reminds me of my late cousin who suffered the same fate last yr

anywayz i dont want to get too emotional..will stop here or now.

hope everyone is ok.

poppy27 · 16/11/2009 14:24

Huge hugs from me, and can't wait to hear all the details. Hope little Toby is settling in well...
