A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Bad news - the baby has severe chromosomal abnormalities and will not survive. Can't believe this is happening.
Have to go in on Tuesday to be induced because apparently the baby is too big now for me to have a d&c. They said I can have an epidural if needs be, but I think it's going to probably be the most traumatic thing I have ever done.

Love to all, have to go and sob my heart out x

monkeybumsmum · 29/03/2010 15:24

Quicky from me - thanks for your messages ladies... Have only scanned through as still feeling horrific, but wanted to update you.
Got our combined results back today and our risk for something being wrong is 1 in 30 which is really not good. Am having CVS tomorrow so will let you know how it goes.

Helloo..

sorry for not being here for soo long..have been very busy with baby and being sick at the same time so didnt come online that much oh btw twins are abt 14+3 today and both looking well

MBM hope u dont get so worried over the nuchal scan and have a really good rest this weekend. it really helps eating a little but frequently to overcome the morning sickness.

Poppy nice to see u here after a loong time hope u get that dress soon! me still not over with the twins news. am worried sick abt wht will happen during delivery..am too scared of needles and surgery..also dont wanna go thru hellish natural birth as well.
is there any miracle to get the babies out without pain? lol

Becky hows Toby? hope hes not scratching too much. i have very dry skin too esp during winter and trust me u wouldnt wanna see my legs lol looks like someone who got scratched by a zombie ..all claw marks

BeckyBendyLegs · 25/03/2010 13:41

Hi everyone,

mbm try not to worry too much about the nuchal measurement. I know it is easy to say. Pregnancy is one big anxiety. Sorry you are still feeling so sick. It must feel like the sickness is going on for ever.

Poppy good to hear from you and I hope parents' evening went well. We have that joy this afternoon!

I have the health visitor due any minute so I have tidied the house (why do these people make me so nervous?). The last time she saw me I was a bit of a mess, sleep deprived, anxious and all over the place. I am so much better now. Still feel nervous though.

Poppy I hope you can find a nice outfit at the weekend.

Toby is much better but his eczema has flared up again so he's actually more miserable than he was last week, ironically. We all have a family cold too!

poppy27 · 24/03/2010 15:02

Sorry Ive not been on just been v busy with loads of RL stuff.

becky poor Toby! Hope he's feeling much better soon. Chickenpox is vile.

MBM so glad to hear your scan went well, it must have been lovely and reassuring to see your baby moving around.Try not to worry about anything else at the moment it's prob nothing and all it does is increase any anxiety you already have and you don't need that when you are already feeling poorly. Take care and big hugs.

nandos hope you are ok and have got over the shock of twins!

My dad's cousin's daughter who I had psychic dream of pg last year has finally had her baby - a wee girl called Daisy. They are all sooo happy.

My friend's daughter also had her baby daughter 2 weeks ago and she was 10lb 4 and she had a natural delivery and no stiches (ouch). She is absolutely beautiful, got a wee cuddle at weekend.

Was at (nice) cousin's hen night in Glasgow at weekend and stayed over. V good night. Only 2 weeks to wedding and I still have no outfit! Panicking like mad! Hopefully going shopping at weekend and will see something nice. Have tried loads on but not seen anything that suits yet! AGHHH

Must go no as it is parents night tonight.

Love poppy x

monkeybumsmum · 24/03/2010 12:57

V quick as v sick, but just wanted to say hi and that I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth.

Poppy So sorry about your friend, how devastating. Sending you a big hug.

How are you both Becky and Nandos? Hope you're okay...

I had my 12 week scan yesterday, and the baby was moving around loads. The nuchal measurement was just above the normal range (was 3.1) so the dr's have us quite worried that something is wrong. have to go back for a scan at 16 weeks so will know more then.

Really must go and lie back down... Love to all xxx

How is everyone? MBM how are things?? I hope you are ok. You too Nandos with your twins.

Everyone is very quiet.

We've had a bad week. We've had chicken pox! Toby was absolutely covered head to foot it was horrible (see my piccies on my profile). He's getting better now but I've been an anxiety monster and not sleeping well again oh hell. If I do have PND it is horrible. I keep thinking I am much better and then a crisis happens and I am down in the depths again.

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/03/2010 12:50

Hello all, Poppy big, big hug to you for what you've been through, how so terribly sad. That is fascinating about your dream: that just shows how close you were to your friend. I believe strongly in premonitions like that.

mbm how are you doing? Thinking of you.

Toby is doing ok. He's suffering badly with eczema and we've had a few run-ins with our GP who seems unwilling to find the cause 'it could be anything' were her words. Sigh. We're waiting for a referral letter from dermatology and hopefully after that things will start to move quickly. I hate to see him suffering so much, he itches so much.

poppy27 · 09/03/2010 00:01

Hi all sorry not been on for ages but have had a lot of bad things happening just now and just feel so drained by it all. The very worst thing was my lovely friend died last sunday and we had her funeral on sat just past. It was unbearably sad. Church packed to capacity as she was so well known and well thought of. The most bizzare thing happened though last monday with regards to it. Was having a dream where I was getting a chap to park cars for me outside a building when a phone inside the building began to ring. I went in and answered it and a voice said "hello is that poppy?" yes says me, "well I'm sorry" (says voice) "but I have really bad news for you, X is dying". I say "pardon" then voice repeats this. I wake up in the horrors and realise it is 7am in the morning. Then dh says to me that out phone was ringing downstairs. He trots off to answer it and comes back up to tell me it was X's dh on phone telling us she had passed away late the previous night. I was v shocked cos it felt like an awful kind of premonition. Anyway enough rambling.

nandos twins!!! omg. you will cope and it will be wonderful just hard for the first while - but worth it

mbm I am delighted for you. It must be a real relief having such a positive scan. I hope your sickness clears up soon and you are finally allowed to just enjoy being pg. Good luck.

becky hi hows Toby doing?

My friend is about to become a granny agin any day soon. V exciting. It is a wee girl as they have had a very cool 4d scan done and it was amazing to see baby's features. V like her brother.

Anyway take care lv poppy xxx

nandos · 08/03/2010 22:17

Hey girls

poor you MBM, morning sickness really sucks isnt it? Have you got anything to reduce it?

Mine is now getting more regular once every morning and I have a feeling that its going to get worse as time past.
Theres just nothing for me to ELIMINATE it at the moment and i just feel like asking doc/gp to give me anti-vomit pills for the next 6mths
oh btw didnt heard from Poppy for a long time..hope you are well wherever you are..
Oh btw my email for FB is [email protected]

Got to go now as not feeling well now

Hello!

I had a text message from MBM she's in hospital (or was when she sent the message) as she's so sick with morning sickness at the mo. Poor, poor thing.

Nandos TWINS!!!!! You are kidding me! No way! Wow!!!!! That's amazing. And so lucky you not having such bad sickness as it is usually worse with twins. You must be in a state of shock!

You'll cope. It'll be hard but you'll cope and think how lovely it'll be. My best friend has twin sisters two years younger than her. They all got on really well growing up.

Are you on facebook? If so please be friends!

nandos · 04/03/2010 17:48

BeckyBendyLegs · 04/02/2010 17:04

Hi all

mbm how are you doing? How was your appointment? Thinking of you xx

We're all fine here. I'm not taking anything because I'm not sure I have proper PND but the insomnia was making me feel depressed. Trying hard to redress it with hypnotherapy and also trying a homeopathic remedy. Apparently postnatal insomnia is quite common.

Toby is nearly 12 weeks now and a lovely smiley little boy. He's just developed eczema though so has been suffering at night.

Hope the rest of you are ok

Nandos how are you doing?

Poppy hope you are ok too and m2o if you are lurking.
