If yes please join me?? I feel like a rollercoaster, one minute obsessed with an imaginary 3rd, one minute not sure as we're happy with 2??? Im approaching OV now and waiting for some OPK's I know we really want another (ok me really DH has been persuaded) but Im finding it scary. TTC baby 1 was exciting and depressing in equal measure baby 2 happened as soon as we tried and was a shock! This one has been 'ummed' and 'ahhed' over more than anything! Anyone get me?

Hi everyone

We are just about to start TTC no 3, I have a DD 3.5yrs and DS 19 months (waves to Fifi).

Hope everyone is doing ok

tobago04 · 17/07/2009 17:02

Well i've only been off the pill twice in the last 7yrs and that was to have my other two, caught 3rd mth with dd1 and 1st mth with dd2,but do remember the 2 periods before catching with dd1 that my cycles were slightly longer than 28 days,i was always forgetting to take my pill the last 6mths so my body probabley does'nt know whats going on! My fault

chosenone · 17/07/2009 15:31

Welcome Kaylo, roll on September! What are your cycles usually like Tobago? I only ask as mine are bonkers from 28 days to 65!! DS was conceived on CD35!! I regulated a bit after him and DD conceived on CD 20 so I never really know where I am!

Kaylo · 17/07/2009 11:46

Can I join please?

OP - you could be me!!!

We are going to start TTC in the next few weeks - feels like I have been waiting forever but hubby wanted to wait until September (no idea why but he agreed and that was all that matters )

I'm on cd4 ucl 28/29

tobago04 · 17/07/2009 11:27

Bless you chosenone, thats a nightmare when that happens, atleast your tax credits would go up if you have another one,i'm on cd 34 and test this morning was still negative

chosenone · 17/07/2009 08:48

emotions all over the place now!! Tax credits just been reduced from £250 to £40 and me and DH panicked!! Can we really afford/cope with 3? AF due on Monday/Tuesday so we'll see?? ignoring all cramps and boob soreness as even get nautios when AF due!

tobago04 · 16/07/2009 16:23

No.3 seems a harder decision to make does'nt it? It's a bit scarey

2greatboys · 16/07/2009 14:40

Not sure whether or not I'll be joining you guys in TTC #3, but wanted to say hi.

I have 2 DSs 8 and 5, and number 3 has always been at the back of my mind. AF was recently 4 days late which has made me seriously think about adding an extra one to our family. I was quite worried at the time, but when AF finally did show felt quite .

DH was surprisingly calm about a late AF, and said if you are you are!

tobago04 · 16/07/2009 07:16

Welcome fifiboys,
thanks dlamis,i did another test yesterday but it was still negative, will test saturday, getting a bit worried now,i know its only early days but i was always forgetting to take my pill the last few months, mayb i've messed up my cycles?

Dlamis · 15/07/2009 19:53

tobago04 - don't really know what to suggest other than test again first thing in the morning and hold the stick there for ages. Fingers crossed for you tomorrow

fifisboys · 15/07/2009 17:27

can i join in please?
We are ttc #3...first month of trying, tbh we weren't going to strat until march time as we are getting married in june, but have decided to try just this month to see what happens as then the timing wont be too bad before we get married.

I have 2 ds's from previous relationship..ds1 is 3.3 and ds2 19 months..i fell pg in the 1st and 2nd month of trying with them so i'm hoping for the same again..even though i know that every one is different.
I am now on 2ww which is torture and will be testing from 24th onwards

tobago04 · 15/07/2009 10:02

I did a test this morning but it was negative, reread the instructions[as you do] and don't think i held it in wee long enough, not sure if to do another one or am i just clutching at straws? Just want to know one way or another Have'nt had problems with periods before although i think my cycles are longer than 28 days,i'm now on cd 32,my last period[only one ive had since coming off the pill]was heavy and painful and i felt rubbish, wondering if it was mc as was really careless with pill just before deciding to go for number 3,any ideas on what i should do?

nhamilton · 15/07/2009 09:36

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who goes through days of desperately wanting a third (DD almost 3years and DS almost 1) and other times thinking I'm mad.

Am I being selfish? We're fortunate enough to have well paid jobs and could afford another child but I've pre-eclampsia in both pregnancies and have been told it's likely to occur again (renal problems).

I come from a family of 2 and so does husband so it seems like the "right" number - but we love our children so much, surely we could extend that to another?

tobago04 · 14/07/2009 22:45

Completly with you Dlamis,i'm on cd 31 now and am going to test in the morning,my 2dds drove me mad today and now i'm a bit scared at possibility of no 3!

Dlamis · 14/07/2009 21:50

Trying for no.3 here too. We have 2 ds's 3.9yrs and 17 months.

I can definately identify with the conflicting feeling though, on a good day i think it's the best idea in the world. On a bad day i wonder what the hell i'm thinking. It's seems a much bigger/harder decision than dc1 and dc2 were.

Yorky · 14/07/2009 21:28

Hello everyone, can I join in?

Mousemole I'd like 4 too, and have always said that so DH is kind of used to the idea that the next is a when not an if. DD is only 8months atm though so not really ttc actively, but haven't remembered to make an appt with dr for contraception
DS is 2.5yrs so 22months between them but each time took around 6months to fall pg so not too scared about small age gaps yet.

CD1 was yesterday, and he's away for a fortnight with work, hmm interesting timing!

Thank you sweetkitty for saying such lovely things about 3, I found getting used to 2 much harder than I'd imagined which threw my confidence a lot as I thought I'd always wanted to be a mum and ought to be good at it.

cloudydaze · 14/07/2009 20:48

We're TTC no. 3, have two DS's (3 & 1.5yrs) & also trying Shettles method though more as an experiment really as tired it last time for a DD & got another beautiful boy and in some ways quite like the idea of 3 DS's even if it's an exhausting thought!
Whilst there are many reasons we should stick to 2 we just feel that our family isn't complete so we thought we would see what happens & reassess it in 12 months if we're still not pregnant. On good days I am super keen but then when the boys have a bad day I think we're crazy to do it all again!

Bubblebell1 · 11/07/2009 09:56

Hi girls!

im also trying for dc3. i have 2 ds' aged 8 and 2 and have been tryin since oct last year. Dr just perscribed me clomid as it seems i have a problem ovulating.. this came as a shock as i feel first month both times with the boys.

hope ur well...

good luck to those on the 2ww and those in their bd marathon

chosenone · 10/07/2009 11:05

am now on 2ww I think! I found some EWCM on CD 16 (early for me) and we'd had two BD sessions on CD14! My OPK's arrived on CD 16 too and had a linethat day. No line on sticks since? so think I OV'd on CD16 possibly C17 although with my long irregular cycles my body may have been trying to OV but maybe didn't god knows? will keep doing OPK's until AF here just in case! Think we may have BD too early, god I hate this...will try and put it out of my mind! Good luck everyone else

ooh I know but kind of wish I could fast forward time a bit !!

sweetkitty · 08/07/2009 12:47

one at a time mousemile

mousemole · 08/07/2009 08:34

sweetkitty, number 4 ? Wow - good on you. That is my ideal number but can't see past number 3 at the moment

sweetkitty · 07/07/2009 20:55

3 is fab, DD3 was born nearly a year ago and is utterly adored by everyone else, she is an utter joy and we couldn't imagine life without her now

so much so that we are ttc #4

Go for it, imagine yourself in 20 years time will you regret not having 3 children?

DH persuaded me to go for 4

chosenone · 07/07/2009 20:44

Wow loads of posts since I checked! sounds like we're a fertile bunch really (fingers crossed!) My OpK's arrived today so will do one every day as cycles usually around 35 days!! have known them to be up in the 60's but generally better since I had lil ones, am on CD 16 so maybe approaching OV?? thought I saw some EWCM this morn but OPK only faint, will keep trying! as for persuading DH took 6 months and a focus on the future long term not short, luckily he's one of 3 so was ok really! Baby dust to all lets keep each other posted!
