Hi 4ever glad you're back, I think it's a good idea to tell everyone you're on a break, then you and dh just keep it between yourselves (and us ofcourse ) it really will take the pressure off.

hoping a green one for me please, how do I give you my address, I will have to join the mobile network won't I , why do I find it so scary?, it's like facebook, scary! Most of my family are on fb even my great aunt bless her. Where are these pics everyone is on about?

blue it's amazing how far the milk goes isn't it? I really struggled to feed ds so the midwife came out to help and she grabbed my boob and gave my nipple one heck of a squeeze and the milk shot out, it still didn't help though. I'm going to try again this time, though without the scary midwife

iggy glad you're feeling better today

Hope everyone is enjoying their Wednesday

barbie1 · 22/07/2009 12:24

jools how is the back hun, my back has started playing up again too, trying not to make too much of it but cant help but worry. I hope you are relaxing, eating chocolate and generally just feeling happier...shme about the sperm ice cubes not being needed, ann summers have 50% off the ice cube trays for summer

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 12:09

4ever I wondered that too we could be neighbours - i also did wonder if you worked for a place that I went for my first job interview - just from something you said... anyway..

Nice that you are happy for your friend

blue might try acupuncture then.. Juts going to hunt for a likely place!

4everhopeful · 22/07/2009 12:02

You're so so so lovely Blue xxxx We need an emoticon with a grin & a tear in eye! Im also a big friends fan & remember that one well! Im Monica - ocd clean freak!

Iggy know we're on the same page hon (& poss same street!!! ). We will get there (repeat 10x per hour!). Good lord woman 34FF?!? I think some of you ladies got my share in the boobies dept! Bless DH tells me he's a leg & bum man, just as well!

My lovely little friend at work just had emergency c sect but now has whopping 71b14 lil boy! Am well pleased for her & no twinge of or nothing! (pats own back!) He shares my nans birthday - she is 80yrs young today!

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 11:08

4ever have been obessing too - and is not a good place mentally for ttc or for living life! Hope cover for treatment is for years. Hypno sounds like good idea too.

talking of boobs - I am 34 FF at the mo... and that's without being PG!!!!!!

bluesatinsash · 22/07/2009 11:05

oh 4ever - its lovely to hear from you and so so pleased you have taken a big fat chill pill and are just going to bd as and when you like and undertake some relaxation therapy. Its so easy to forget who we are in the stress of ttc. I've said it before but you and DH are a special, special couple, always working together, supporting each other. You will make fantastic parents of that there is no doubt .

cupcake - I'm also a quoter of movies/t.v. shows (Friend's when Ross can't decide between Rachel or Julie and Chandler says "oh boo hoo, my diamond shoes are too tight and the 50's won't fit in my wallet - classic series 2!) I can quite 'Grease' ver batem' too but won't

MLS - bang on cycle for you! LOL at 'battle bunker' .

MrsKate - looking hopeful.....

Gracie - hope your meeting goes well today. Least if you get an office job you can sneak onto MN during the day!

Iggy - I had three sessions of acup in March/April - went back for my fourth but registered pregnancy instead so go for it!

Hoping - I'll need to wait til I get home to see your photos as can't access my btinterent from here (the cheek of it!)

Talking of which, back to paperclip tidying x

4everhopeful · 22/07/2009 10:36

Hey Iggy Tshirt sounds fab! Couldnt see hopings pics cos work quarantines mails with attachments Good luck with your BD mission!

AF is about to arrive. Had such long catch up post didnt menation that 2more BFNs & now got pains so know no joy this month. Did meltdown last week, but stepped back, switched off. Havent told anyone but mum yet that not managed ttc within 3month treatment deadline, almost dreading telling MIL & co as much as when we MC . For that reason will maybe say that we are having a break to everyone, then no pressure of constantly being asked. I mean I dont ask other inlaws how often they have sex do I?!? I have been quite positive, kept busy with DH & feeling optomistic, if not slightly relieved that pressure is off.. . Spoke with Portland consultant who confirmed 50/50 as to whether cover from treatment can last a few years even, or if 'top up' needed. We have apt to test our levels on tues to see either way. Decided that next couple of months no OPKs or nothing, BD as & when & take pressure of ourselves, just making that decision takes a big weight off. Manager studied hynotherapy for new career when shes redundant & is gonna do relaxation hypno & self hypno for me, her tutor does hypno fertility, will post link, sounds brill... Def need to take a big chill pill. Had been almost manic & thinking nothing else but ttc & work anxiety & was like a volcano ready to erupt at slightest trigger. Over last week I actually remembered what I was like pre MC and I like that lady so went to find her & slowly trying to step back into her clothes & shoes (tho waistband are all too tight now!)... Anyway - thought Id explain my dissapearance! I feel in a good place, not as good as being PG obviously but did need to regain perspective...

Loving the recent light hearted chat, thats why couldnt stay away! Very at boob comparisons, Im a weeny 36B and wear ultimo gel bras to enhance my fried eggs!

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 10:23

Oh yes - an while I was obsessing yesterday and being a misery - I did what I always do and started looking for solutions online and I found this:

article on acupuncture and fertility

So I looked up the clinic - and is hugely expensive - but you can sign up for a free tips email - which I did. Link here in case you want too: Kite Clinic

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 10:20

cupcake you are right - I may start practicing tonight!

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 10:19

4ever so pleased you back - you have been missed I have a T-Shirt which says Souf London on it - it's very pleasing

hoping meant to say - thanks for your pics - so nice to put face to name - you look lovely

4everhopeful · 22/07/2009 09:47

Hello lovely Emmsys ladies! I'm back! Just had a small holiday to Normalsville but I missed you all loads & came back early! Thanks for your lovely words, you made me feel all warm & snuggly! Ive had a little lurk so have heard the news .. will attempt to catch up with you all now! Apologies in advance for the most mammothest post possibly ever...

Big Emmsys congratulations again to Neeko! Already tx you but am really so chuffed, I had such a strong feeling you were!

Curly so pleased your scan went well & we have another dancing beanie to celebrate! You're whizzing through these 12 wks hon.. Thanks for being lovely as always x

Lovely to see Barbie back too!!! Big hand holding for you (maybe?), Gracie & Annies scans on fri!

Great news about staying off work Gracie and pleased your tummy ache & bloatings subsided - are you around 9wks? Mine was awful each time from wk5-8 then eased! at your big mouthed fb 'friend' !!

Annie you must be bricking it hon, am I right in remembering the 'soft marker' worries? Take a foot to squeeze as well. Praying for you..

Bluesatin such a sweetheart to pray for us all & me too! You're a lovely special lady.

MLS Yay to the return of AF & the resuming of mission BD! We will be cycle buddys..! Love your tattoo hon, not brave enough for that, but got a gorgeous belly bar in Egypt this year, it has one big diamante at the top, and 3 smaller diamantes at the bottom of 3 bars that rest over my belly button, so for me the 4 diamantes represent my babies, the bigger one being my 13 wk one, and its close to my belly so I smile when I see it. Must try & post a pic...

Mermaid hon, if you're lurking - lots of love to you, I believe I saw you on the same bus to Normalsville? Hope you are enjoying the break!

Moon sorry you have been having a shitty time... Cant believe your office also has 3pgs! 2 of mine on mat now (apart from one with same edd in sept who has turned into smug bitch from hell & wont even look at me now ). The lovely one used to sit next to me is in labour as we speak, hoping to hear news today! Also sad for you & your planned nursery, we were same, had one 'undecorated' room ready for 'whatever', in the end, as Curly suggested DIY was part healer, got stuck in 'while we can' was the philosophy, first was 'that' room which we did neutrally enough to change into nursery if/when it happens.. Same great idea as Hopings craft room.

Ginger inspiring to hear of your 3 babies but to hear of your 3 MC too.. Sign there is always hope tho... Hope your EDD is not too awful..

Hoping your posts always make me smile you're very optomistic and positive & your name does you justice!

Hey Iggy my Souf London neighbour! Sorry you also had a down time recently, pleased you feel better now..

Jools crap that the witch came. I can feel her scratching at my door with her freddy krueger nails as we speak - owwww...

You too cupcake damn her damn her! How exciting about your new career - watch out JK Rowling! Yea, a book of our journey? That would be amazing...

Mrskate holding out for you & hope DH is recovering now?

Loving the new name Buddhabelly Big tummy rubs to you & MM, Sabs and Vjay cant believe its nearly your time! One of my best mates edd is 26th Sept & sadly that was my no2 edd so Im pleased the first crop of Emmsys graduates will come then - it will put a positive light on it

No doubt I missed someone and Im sorry! Also hope I didnt mix up anyones stories! Was hard to catch up...

cupcakefairy · 22/07/2009 09:42

Morning ladies DH and I took a trip to Bristol last night for a concert so v sleepy this morning!

Hi curly - almost made me cry reading about you seeing your 'real baby' - it WILL be a real baby

iggy glad you are feeling a little better, and sooo good that you had a good chat with dh, that always makes me feel better. I agree with curly that BD early on in cycle is great - you both feel no pressure and is just a nice bit of practice I think I'm day 13 today so I'm gonna have to stop the practice and go into battle soon!

MLS wow, that was a quick appearance by AF, hooray for moving on

Ha, blue, that cracked me up about being able to 'squirt across the room'!!! That's a neat trick.

hoping loved the pics and how cool your dh writes too! Still super jealous of your little kittens!

neeko yes, I am regularly teased for my TV/film quoting ability...bit sad really!!

mermaid? You are very quiet lately...hope it's just the greenhouse keeping you busy!

Hi moon and 4ever if you're lurking... hugs for you ladies today.

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 09:13

Thanks everyone for your hugs/ thoughts - was just having one of those days - been bit sad since AF started and for some reason was not good yesterday. Feeling much better today tho

MLS am in South London. So sorry you had rubbish day yesterday too - but good news about AF - love the idea it could be day 1 of your next PG... That means I could be on Day 7 and I haven't even BD yet

curly you are so lovely - I read your post last night actually and it made me feel so much better. I decided to talk to DH and explain that I was feeling a bit sad about everything and am so glad that I did. We agreed that it is def what we both want and that we must try a bit harder. I am so pleased that you saw your bean - you so deserve it. All the girls on here do. xx

gracie hope the office job is ok - I used to work for the NHS until 3 years ago actually... Hope you get something good!

GracieGirl · 22/07/2009 09:02

That's good news MLS. I'm really hoping that today is that date you give to the midwife to date your next very healthy and very sticky pregnancy.

I'm just off into work to find out what they plan to do with me instead of a job looking after swine flu patients. Feeling quite nervous about it actually.

MummyLovesSadie · 22/07/2009 07:32

Af arrived today 14 days after erpc, hurray! Normal service can be resumed at the MLS battle bunker & today could be the first day of my pregnancy.

Curlywurlee · 21/07/2009 21:51

Thanks everyone for all the posts, texts and general handholding. I don't know what I would do without you guys especially as DH couldn't come today. Seeing the bean was amazing, it was an actual baby!!! Trying not to get too attached but it was so magic

Let's have some more happy scans this week with annie gracie and maybe barbie

Snap on the boob size barbie hmm that just sounds weird lol at you sniffing your hair.. not something you could explain too easily if anyone noticed

gracie that's so annoying and thoughtless of your colleague. Just ignore, chances are no-one saw it

Jools that stupid cow AF, she was meant to stay away from you this month. Yay for taking some fluffy drugs though, hope your back gets better soon in time for bd'ing

ginger sorry about your EDD this week, it's really hard to think of what could have been Lovely to hear about your three babies though

iggy both DH and I felt like that - we didn't want to ruin what we had by getting too scientific about it. I guess we were also a bit overconfident because we got pregnant so easily twice before . After 5 months of trying we gave up that idea In the end we agreed that we were just going to have sex every couple of days, like in the deanna plan and DH was (very ) happy with that. I kept a sneaky eye on the opks and the minute I saw a stronger line, we bd'd that night and that as they say was that!! It's also good to start earlier than you think you need to as it feels less babymaking related then. I'm sorry you are feeling sad honey. Just hang in there for another little while, we'll be celebrating your bfp before you know it

4ever sends her love to everyone. She says she's doing well, just taking a break from all our chat and having a dose of normality for a while

cupcake how about writing a book about us? And meatloaf's moobs

VJ you are asking for an early delivery!!!! Now go pack the rest of that bag

Neeko pull up a chair and tell us about your day! You're back in the nice cosy cave now

MM thanks for the brownies, they will look lovely next to my icecream (I might just look rather than eat them )

blue I love your random theory - I reckon you are so right

mls are you doing okay? Any sign of ov? Big hugs

annie H cup... wow My DH would probably go into shock with happiness if I got that big I have a hand to hold for you and Gracie on Friday xxx

Moon thank you so much for helping me through today. I clung onto your thought that bean didn't need the scan and it really helped. How are you today honey?

hoping just saw ur email, those photos are gorgeous . I'm beginning to feel positively frumpy Totally love your wriggly bean dance!

mrskate fingers tightly crossed for you

lots of love to all you lovely ladies. I'd be lost without you xxx

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 21:27

MrsKate crampy pain are good, that is what I get when pregnant.

Neeko you didn't tell us about your mare of a day.

Curly where are you? Congratulations, so relieved for you.

right I'm off to bed as I've been up since 5am with dd [frazzled emoticon]

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 21:15

Neeko I always put mine on when dd goes to bed too! We rock!

Hoping whit-wooooo! You look nothing like I expected.

MrsKate · 21/07/2009 20:59

neeko still really crampy just like period pain had it all day. boobs hurt and ate for 4 people today . aswell. i hope im not ijust thinking these syptoms up ????

gingermumi · 21/07/2009 20:51

waves hello to hoping

Neeko · 21/07/2009 20:45

I have the munchies tonight so thanks MM Yum!

Moon How are you feeling today? Have you talked to your DH yet? Think Hoping's idea is a great one. Hope you've managed to pick up a Brownie or two. I've saved my last Fab icelolly for you too.

MrsKate How's the symptoms today?

Gracie Did your "friend" get back to you?

Blue Very impressed by your wire removal!

MLS Hope you're feeling a bit better. I started wearing sleep bras with DD too and now wear the jammies with the hidden support vest tops. M&S do nice ones for bigger cup sizes and they make great lounging around the house clothes too. I'm nornally in mine by the time I've put DD to bed. My DH knows it's been a hard day if he gets home at tea time and I'm already wearing them!

Iggy Hope you're feeling better too.

hopingalways · 21/07/2009 20:16

woo hoo curly I am so pleased to hear that!

moon I was exactly where you are, with the house bought just for baby that never came to be. after mc#2 I couldn't even open the door to the nursery for 3 months. what I found helped was to turn it into a craft room, decorated to be turned into a nursery later without too much faff! what's your favourite hobby? turn it into an art studio/yoga room/tv den/computer lab as a place to spoil yourself until you hand it over to your lo. hang in there lovely, it will get better .

jools gutted for you, it looked so promising!

gracie fb is a tool for evil sometimes. my sil did that to me as well in 2nd pg. I let her off as she was 15 at the time, but your freind should know better!

cupcake you gotta meet my dh - he's on his 2nd novel right now, and technically this is what he is doing until term starts again. actually he is doing housework and decorating out of guilt for making me be breadwinner, but technically he is a full time writer too!

sabs I forgot to post the knits before I went on hols...expect them in a week or so!

vjay green, peach or lilac, what colour hat would you like?

ginger nice to make your aquiantence!

cat's not letting me play with the kittens they keep crying if I pick them up they're soooo cute though, how can I leave them alone!

going to follow iggy's lead and email you a piccie, not technical enough to post photos!

anniebigpants · 21/07/2009 20:03

Cheers for brownies mm, theyve gone down lovely after my spag bol-yummy!

Hugs to MLS and Iggy Gracie-Cant believe someone announced your pregnancy on FB. I would be bloody fuming as well.Hopefully no one has noticed.

Im still in underwired bras, but lady at the shop i bought them from says as long as they are properly fitted so they dont squash milk ducts they will be fine. I went into non underwired ones last time at 12 weeks, i found them so ugly and unflattering, they seemed to seperate my boobs so they were almost at my sides, and make them look pointy.

MrsKate · 21/07/2009 20:00

gracie i saw it and i wanted to delete it for you

i really thought she wouldnt do that and she has not been at work and cant be at work so who has told her ???????

bluesatinsash · 21/07/2009 19:51

Yummy Brownies MM you domestic goddess you

re: wired v underwired - all I did was take the wire out of my bras (all two of them that I rotated ) and had no probs with milk supply - regularly could squirt across the room.

Iggy and MLS - some days are just like this - pants... Wait 'til the mid-cycle hormones kick in and you'll be all a flutter x
