Here's a shiny new thread named especially for 4ever, let this be the one where we get lots and lots of new BFPs and everyone's pants get bigger

Ever onwards and upwards for all of you lovely ladies

OP posts:
Neeko · 23/07/2009 16:30

Afternoon
4ever Hope I haven't missed you. sorry your life is such a big dipper right now. Hope you're feeling better now. Did you try my gran's pee/cry theory since you were in the toilet anyway? Bet you forgot! Hpefully impending AF is making you more hormonal and you're one step closer to the BFP that brings your gorgeous baby. I'm sending you a Kinder happy hippo - yummy!

Barbie what tat did you buy? Loving the nap idea. so glad you've finally sorted your work/life balance. You sound much more content and grounded

Gracie Impressive admin skills with the table. A paperclip drawer would be a waste of your talents! Still find it strange to hear everyone's RL names. Still testing and still have 5 tests left (3 types) so prob won't be stopping soon. I still get nervous waiting for it to work and then have a huge smile/sigh of relief when I get a BFP. Any tips for dealing with the constant fear though?

Blue Ooh fancy dresses sound lovely. Sell, sell, sell stuff on ebay and treat yourself!

Vjay Love your DS1's name Have a wee flutter of excitement everytime I think of your impending graduation.

Ginger Hope you're feeling more positive today.

Big waves to everyone else. MLS's new battle plan is obviously fool proof and all consuming as she clearly has no time to post!

iggypiggy · 23/07/2009 16:16

Afternoon all! Am just back from conference today.

Gracie am well impressed with the table in all its neatness and glory! How are you doing? Will be thinking of you muchly tomorrow.

4ever have been through a restructure in previous job and we going through one now as well - I know is v. stressful time. The uncertainty is the worst. Always vent to us - am sue it will make you feel better

Neeko lovely pics of you and your family - how cute is your DD! I also agree no need for picture doctoring you look lovely.

barbie 3pm finishes sound excellent! Enjoy your brunch!

bakingqueen nice to hear from you - good luck with the clomid!

cupcake I am also worried about jools and mermaid hope they both ok.

vjay love the name conor too

curley how are you? How is sickness?

hoping hello!

blue get the dress - go on!

mls how are you?

Big hello to everyone else!

cupcakefairy · 23/07/2009 14:20

gracie the table is amazing! I am well impressed

barbie did you survive the trip??

bluesatinsash · 23/07/2009 14:03

Afternoon y'all,

When I think of '70's tennis' the poster of the girl playing tennis with the bare bum peeking out her dress springs to mind - Think it was the best selling poster of the 70's, or was that Farah Fawcett . I of course was much too young to remember such things .

Neeko - I class 'Scottish' looking as 1. pale skin 2. high cheekbones 3. dark hair 4. twinkle in eye . The wedding's on the 4th September and have seen gorgous dress in isabella oliver - long, black and grecian empire line but its mega bucks so will see. Going to try and do an e-bay purge soon - got lots of 'stuff' to try and flog.

Vjay - Ben would go lovely with Conor! My DS is Isaac and I really want a name starting with a vowel this time too as it will flow nicely on the xmas cards . Really love Olivia but friend's wee one is called that so no go for me... Oliver on the other hand is still up for grabs .

Gracie and Annie - only one sleep left, will be thinking about you both x

Gracie - well done on the Emmsy's table - see you could do an office job no bother at all . I will email my mobile, couldn't remember it when I sent original email.

Ginger - good to see some regular posts from you!

gingermumi · 23/07/2009 12:55

floating in it

gingermumi · 23/07/2009 12:54

Barbie - had to smile, sounds deligthful. My ex bought some fake Lacoste perfume for dd2 when he was on his hols and it had bits floting in it! She said they were water fleas! it probably wasn't but try not to catch anything itchy!. sounds like it might be fun anyway!

barbie1 · 23/07/2009 12:46

hello girls...couldnt post at work today cos i actually did some work
I do love finishing at 3..its still sunny and it means i can have a nap on the sofa while the birds sing away outside...bliss!

4ever poor you, someone is really testing you at the moment arent they? Dont you just hate it when everything happens at once and no matter how positive you try to be you just cant reach the end of the bloody tunnel...last year was like that for me so i understand the joy and then the crashing back to earth thing straight after. Wish i could help you someway...im trying to send you some sun from this side of the world at least it will light the end of the tunnel for you and you should get to finally see the end!

Im going to a dodgy part of dubai in a minute, we have been invited to brunch (great fun when you cant drink...not ) tomorrow and the theme is 70's tennis....so there is an aread in dubai called the karama which sells cheap tat and designer fake stuff...its horrible, it smells and everyone stares and try to get you into there pokey little store, luckily there are four of us going so i have back up...who know might even pick up a fake handbag

Ill be back soon xxx

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 12:27

Thanks girls once again for saying the exact right things & letting me vent! It is hard.. Thing is I really really love my job! Just as thinking sod em all, I was healthily distracted by request from another dept to chase claims worth £140k for an album by an artist I really like, this is the part I love, lose myself in & get really stuck in, so therapy in itself when I can just concentrate on the job instead of the politics! I shall see what docs say tho & maybe see about time off still

gingermumi · 23/07/2009 12:06

thanks cupcake fairy, wil wait to hear from gracie

cupcakefairy · 23/07/2009 12:02

ginger you should get a lovely email from gracie with all our details in it, and you get to find out everyone's real name then she'll also send your details round to us so you don't need to do a thing!
Once you've got everyone's address you can choose to send round a pic if you like though.

gingermumi · 23/07/2009 12:00

Morning ladies! Have snet an email to the address I was given, now what? Havn't done this before so don't know what I should do next...can someone explain to the technophobic ginger!? thanks

Hoping, thanks for the story about your godmother, so reassuring to know i'm not the oldest mummy in the world (feels like it some times!).

blue, fab news about bloods, excellent. When I has DS they said my risk factor was the same as if i was in my twenties, it was an amazing relief!

Bakingquenn, pants having to do 8 nights- poor you.

Annie- would be same anout swine flu, I'm dreading going back to work in Spetembet - I work in a college with 4000+ students and staff on top of that- it's going to be a great breeding ground got groblies!

4ever sorry you're having a crappy time with work. You have us, so rant away!

VJaybigpants · 23/07/2009 11:50

Morning, just!!!

neeko my ds's name is Conor, so should go nicely with Ben.

hoping you do make me smile, bless you

blue what a relief with the blood tests

Right I'm going to email our emmsys email now....

cupcakefairy · 23/07/2009 11:42

aaaaand breathe 4ever you poor thing. We had a massive restructuring at my work 18 months ago and as a result 3 were made redundant but waaay more people left cos of the upheaval etc. People were so stressed and only now is it beginning to feel a bit more normal, so it must be horrible for you guys but hopefully this will be super positive and by Jan 'the plan' will be fully in action yes, please do take 2 weeks off!!
On a positive note, great that you are getting to know your cycle more that's really really helpful

Hi baking yay for the start of clomid! Hope the nights aren't too horrible, are you a nurse too? I'll look forward to the big catch up on Saturday!

Gracie I can totally understand you crying over the family tree stuff! I had tears in my eyes just watching that show last night; if they were relatives of mine I'd find it so hard eeep to you potentially 'going public' this weekend that's so exciting! I am really looking forward to the day we have more big-panters than little-panters

Am a bit worried about jools and mermaid...hope you girls are ok if you're lurking.

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 11:24

4ever come and have a big hug. Hopefully your manager is wrong and by january you'll be pregnant and blooming and all will go according to your grand plan. You have as many rants as you need, that's what we're here for. Yes book in with the GP and see what lovely stress relieving things they can offer you. Otherwise do you fancy some carrot cake? - I find that always helps.

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 11:13

Had to put my being calm plan into effect immediately after last post - big announcement at work, the dept restructure is now put back to Jan, was meant to be Oct was thrilled as plan is to be preg when happens, then cant commute to diff office, so another lot of pressure off - phew, until manager (who knows am on knifesdge mentally) said well they may still restructure anyway (its highly unlikely & seems she said cos miffed her voluntary redundancy now pushed back). So up to a massive high, 5mins later crashing down to sobbing wreck in toilet for nearly an hour . I do fear my sanity, this is torture for me & 85 oth colleagues, we had this hanging over us for 2yrs, and its been put back about 5 times. No-one can plan their lives, some want to study, change career etc but we are all being left dangling while they tweek this new system that will be managed by a service centre in Poland. On its own this would be bad enough but coping with that, 4mc, ops, tests, expensive treatment is just absolutely torturing me... Will book docs next week for natural stress relief therapies & maybe even a week or 2 off.... I keep trying to bounce back & if could cocoon myself indoors with no outside influences (apart from MN ) id be just fine.... So sorry for mammoth me me me rant... It helps to write it down. Inlaws/friends ect dont realise extent of worry cos all they wanna know about is our sex life treatment!

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 09:57

x post 4ever. Morning to you!

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 09:55

Morning! it is a bit quiet in here today. Only one sleep till our scans now Annie.

I still can't quite imagine going public after my scan tomorrow. That's what people normally do isn't it?? It just still doesn't quite feel real.

Good luck with the clomid BakingQueen. Poor you on an 8 night stretch, I used to do 7 night on a few years ago, they were tough.

Cupcake I know what you mean about Family Tree stuff. I've spent years researching mine and I can't help getting emotional about all those really young deaths, and we don't get to find out about most of the still borns and miscarriages apart from if the mother died in the process too. My mum always thinks I'm a bit odd crying about someone who died over a hundred years ago, but when its relations of mine its sad. We all know lots of children died back then but when you find out the dates, names and causes of death its all a bit more real.

How's things Neeko still testing? I think I did a few days running when I first found out, then when I had to take a urine sample to the GP and then the midwife I tested the sample before I went just to make sure. How paranoid are we??!!

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 09:53

Oh x post cupcake think I ov on day17 so prob due fri, just starting to work cycle out now, always 14days post ov yes?!? Yep will prob turn up when we trek across london to wembley to watch football tomorrow night!

BTW Annie totally understand your worries re swine flu, its scarey isnt it? Stand your ground!

Bakinqueen everything crossed for you this month - bring on the triplets!

Neeko · 23/07/2009 09:50

Sounding laid back 4ever So nice to hear you feeling yourself. AF is just allowing you more time to practise your zen like status.

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 09:46

Morning Neeko!! where is everyone?!? Have they gone looking for my AF? As I said to Iggy yesterday she appears to be playing knock down ginger at the mo...

OMBG Gracie thats freaky & a bit scarey about dodgy mails! You hear of these weirdo's but cant believe they have sent yukky things to our precious account!!!! How very dare they!

(Thats the only time I shall use the face for as long as poss, shall be counting back from 10, visualizing beautiful things, and deep breathing to keep as calm & stress free as poss from now on.... )

Neeko · 23/07/2009 09:42

HELLOOOOOO!

cupcakefairy · 22/07/2009 22:29

Eww to the emails gracie! Do they seem like they're written by an actual person? Cos sometimes these dodgy things trawl sites like MN for email adresses and must have picked up the emmsy one...if it's an individual actually sat there lurking on our thread then writing to you that's a bit freaky

Just been watching Chris Moyles on Who Do You Think You Are?..Was quite sad cos he found out his great great grandmother had lost 10 children, some just a few weeks/months old and two at 9 and 11 years old
