barbie jogs in wearing her tennis kit before retiring to to sofa to catch up with you guys...more than enough excercise for the month day!

Sorry i didnt get back on last night, i missed you all be chatty!

The karama was as every bit as bad as i remembered, not helped by the fact i had on jeans and a t shirt in a bid to cover up to avoid the stares....94% humidity, ended up soaking wet, thirsty and

However for 2 pounds i did manage to get a lacoste tennis dress...a pair of puma soaks and a head band...um nice! If i was pregnant i would of dont the whole bum show thing....after lots and lots of drinking!!!

Dh went the whole hog and bought a huge afro wig, a fake playboy tracksuit top, you know the ones made of the awful material that you snag your nails on all the time? and some shorts for 90p! i will sign up to the emmsys email exchange tomorrow and forward you all pics.....

Good luck today for gg and annie although im sure you wont even need my luck! can you post the scan pics??
Ill be back here about 9 my time so 6 your time, thats the earliest i can find out your news...dh will be comatose (sp?) on the sofa so i can chat as much as i like!

Hello to everyone else, sorry i havent got time to catch up, i promise i will tonight...fantastic post blue by the way

Of to curl my hair into a 70's perm....

big waves to MM

I'm going to drag myself to bed. I might be imagining it but I feel a little better today, still nauseas but haven't been sick

Really late but just popping on quickly to wish annie and gracie good luck for tomorrow. Will be back on tomorrow to see how you both get on.

Big waves to all the rest of you lovely ladies, will catch up tomorrow xxx.

BlueMoon1981 · 23/07/2009 23:23

curly i am hopefully having a lazy weekend, they have recently been too full of visitors - no bad thing but i need some 'me' time now. planning on doing a bit of shopping up town on my own no dp or anyone else to amuse for a few hours! and i think some long dog walks to de-stress me. do you have any nice plans?

Curlywurlee · 23/07/2009 23:05

Hey moon it's lovely to see you and I'm glad you're still lurking. What are your plans for this weekend? I hope you are doing some nice pampering things

BlueMoon1981 · 23/07/2009 22:37

good luck to annie and gracie for your scans, i really hope everything will be ok for you and your beans

curly i love your posts, i know i've said that before but you are so lovely! bless your dh for asking after us girls. i am ok, not really been up to posting, but i am always lurking to make sure you girls are all alright.

and blue lovely lovely post

Curlywurlee · 23/07/2009 22:29

thanks annie please text me. I'll be at work but will be watching for news of yours and gracies scans and can do a sneaky post

Here's my hand now for both of you xxx

OP posts:
anniebigpants · 23/07/2009 22:23

Aww thank you lovely Curly for speaking to your sister for me, thats really reassured me. I,ll text you as well tomorrow if thats okay, incase MLS doesnt manage to get on tomorrow.
Your 11 weeks seems to have gone fast, i bet it hasnt for you though. I promise once you get past 12 weeks time will go past a lot faster.

Curlywurlee · 23/07/2009 22:17

Annie I hope I have caught you before bed. I'm sorry I forgot I promised to speak to my sister who's a neonatalogist about your soft markers. She said really not to worry, it's very common and that if it was edwards the scan would have shown hard markers (you didn't even have any other soft markers which are less likely to indicate a problem) so hope you can get some sleep before your scan tomorrow

MLS I'm so hoping that the 22nd of July is Day 1 for you

gracie glad you don't have to go back to work till next week thanks for sending out the fab spreadsheet of contact details, I was beginning to lose track Thinking of you tomorrow and holding your hand. Is it 9am?

iggy I'm so glad you're feeling better and thank you for your lovely post. Happy times are ahead, i can see a BFP around the corner I'm impressed with the boobage!!

hello lovely cupcake lol at you going into battle I can't believe that guy at work

So happy to see 4ever back. I have become so fond of all of you, i really do worry when you're not on MN for a while. I guess I will never find such a supportive bunch of people again. All of us london ladies will have to meet up some time What a stupid manager you have, and just when you were feeling more relaxed. It's hard to cope with the restructuring hanging over your head Honey, I wish I could give you the biggest hug xxx

blue how are the paperclips looking? love the friends quotes, I could watch that show over and over (and I do ) Fantastic result on the downs

barbie the consultant didn't say anything about dates, it was a bit of a crap scanner, but she said everything looked roughly right for 11 weeks. I get my dating scan next wednesday. By dates I should be 11 weeks now, but I ovulated early so in my case this would make sense

VJ your midwife story really scared me though lol at the projectile milk, what a weapon I totally love the name Ben

baking hope the clomid works wonders this month for you

ginger that's a very brave decision you are considering honey. I agree with 4ever I reckon as soon as you stop trying that bfp will come

Peeko your photos was lovely. What a goodlooking bunch we are!! (says the girl who hasn't been brave enough to send around a pic yet ) I am still beaming about your bfp. Even DH was excited. He sort of knows people as well because I talk so much about you all. He asked how Moon and MLS were doing the other day

Kate hold on a little while longer, it's a wee bit early honey. If you have any spare opks though, use them in the morning instead. It's not as accurate but fun to check if the line gets darker each day

moon how are you doing honey? I was thinking of you today. You've been a bit quiet for a while. Hope this is because RL is busy. Come back soon

Big waves to hoping mm sabs and anyone I haven't mentioned xxx

Thank you lovely ladies. MLS are you going to be around on here tomorrow as i could text you when ive had my scan, and you could let people know for me, as i may not get back on here till tomorrow night.

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 22:00

X posted Annie - I'm thinking of you for your scan tomorrow (its taking my mind off the fact that I have one too! )

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 21:58

Evening! I'm pleased you all liked my table.

MLS well done for thinking on your feet with your DD, where did Horlicks come from?! Its Annie who has a scan at 11am tomorrow, mine is 9am. Barbie's is tuesday next week and Curly's had one this week already!
I'm really nervous about tomorrow's scan, Neeko I have no tips about staying calm and escaping the constant fear, as you can see I'm rubbish at it!! But time does go by if you sit tight.

Blue you describe our lovely thread so well. Its strange how well it all seems to work considering the differences in situation, number of children already, age, etc. I certainly wouldn't have held on to the tiny bit of sanity I have left without you lot.

Hoping your poor little kittens!

Kate the confidentiality for staff isn't that good at work is it! Though when I do go back I'll tell everyone anyway so I don't put myself at any unnecessary risk. I didn't get a phonecall from matron today about my job so I'll ring her tomorrow after my scan. The sister post being advertised isn't mine, its someone else's who hasn't been around for a while longer than me.

MummyLovesSadie · 23/07/2009 21:58

Oh Annie I knew someone else had a scan tomorrow. I will definitely be thinking of you. I'm sure everything will be ok & you will have a huge smile on your face when you come out of the scan room. Remember to let us know as we will all be waiting to hear your news.

anniebigpants · 23/07/2009 21:51

MLS-Bless your DD, that is so funny!

Blue-What a lovely way of summing up this thread.
Re names, my DS is called Oliver, he gets Ollie for short, now he is a small boy, but i wouldnt have people shorten it when he was a baby, my nephew is an Isaac, lovely name too.
VJay,s DS name Conor is one of my favourite names if this babba is a boy.

Thanks for all the well wishes re my upcoming scan tomorrow, i wish Gracie well too. Im just hoping they dont find any more soft markers (please God). My scan is at 11.00am tomorrow.

MummyLovesSadie · 23/07/2009 21:34

Right, back now & my belly is full to busting but I still have a tub of pralines & cream ice cream warming up in the kitchen. Oink oink.

I've been lurking all day yesterday & I kept meaning to post but you lot were bloomin' talking too much! I felt like I couldn't keep up!

Neeko how many weeks is your friend? She must be 20-odd weeks & it is very unusual to have bleeding then unless you have something like placenta previa. Also it is very unusual to lose a baby then, I hope she is ok. I hope you are ok too, it must have really shaken you.

MrsKate you have nerves of steel, I applaud you for having the reserve to not have tested already.

Hoping you just wait until you have your newborn baby & the nurse is sticking a needle in it's little pink heel & one it it's chubby little arm, then you really will be traumatised!

Blue the poster of the tennis player with her bum hanging out came to my mind as well, here it is. Barbie I can see you doing this pose! How did your shopping trip go?

4ever glad you & back & sorry for your work stresses. I'm sure the restructure won't go ahead before January (they are hardly going to do it for your bosses benefit) & I wouldn't be surprised it it was changed again to later next year. Things like that are always happening at dh's company. When do you have your appointment to check if you are still covered with your treatment?

Baking bring on the twins! If you have any spare clomid then send it my way. I'd love to have a multiple birth next time & then I could safely hang up my bd boots forever.

Jools & Mermaid I hope you are having a short break to a lovely tropical island somewhere drinking pina colada's out of coconuts. Come back soon.

Gracie good luck for tomorrow, although I'm sure you won't need it. Yikes to the dodgy emails - I'd still like to read them though! Curly do you have a scan tomorrow too? Sorry if I'm getting confused but you have all blethered so much over the last couple of days.

Thanks Cupcake yes you did get my cd correct on the list.

Well today my gorgeous, sweet, angelic, 21 month old little dd decided she would start saying "Bollocks, bollocks, bollocks" - my blood curdled. I tried to deflect her by saying "No darling you mean horlicks, horlicks, horlicks" but she wasn't buying that, instead we settled for "boil it"!

MrsKate · 23/07/2009 20:38

hi all

just finished work and ate a big fat takaway.

neeko still had cramps and back ache it hhas not gone all day .!!!!!!!

gracie did work phone you up about what to ddo just to let you know a certain manager told a crowded staff room that she had a sister pregnant off sick so more people will know you news . advertising a sister post

Neeko · 23/07/2009 20:31

I know I said I was going but have just spoken to my friend who is due same day i was and she has been bleeding yesterday and today. She's been scanned and told all fine and to carry on as normal. She's fairly chilled about it all but I'm a nervous wreck. Came off the phone and burst into tears Can't believe how much it has shaken me.

Neeko · 23/07/2009 20:14

Channel I am not watching a new perfume

Neeko · 23/07/2009 20:13

Blue You summarise this thread perfectly. Clever girl

MLS Glad you're ok. Dinner sounds lovely.

Hoping Poor you. Hope they have recovered from their trauma.

I'm shattered and in my jammies already. Going to veg out and watch the programme on Chanel 4 at 9 about The World's Oldest Mums - if I can stay awake.
Have a nice night everyone. Catch up with you tommorrow. Annie and Gracie I'm thinking of you both and hope you manage to sleep.

hopingalways · 23/07/2009 19:55

nice table gracie - just can't square people's RL names with their mumsnet names!

just had to worm 4 kittens and a mummy cat...covered in cat hair, worming solution and traumatised from the anguished cries of tiny kittens and terrified mummy cat

and I have to do it again for the next 2 days...

MummyLovesSadie · 23/07/2009 19:55

Blue what a fantastic post I have a tear in my eye. You have totally brought into perspective what we've all been through and are going through & how we feel. Thank God we all have each other through the good times, the worrying times & the truly awful times.

Yes Neeko I am still here! No bd action just yet but it won't be long.

I'm in the middle of cooking a thai green curry (again) after having had Mermaids watercress soup for lunch (again), yes I know I know I'm a creature of habit & I like what I like. I'll be back later.

bluesatinsash · 23/07/2009 19:11

Neeko - I'm afraid the constant fear doesn't leave you. It gets easier as the weeks progress tho'. Just keep busy and have your EPU on short dial in case reassurance required!

I'm also conscious that mermaid hasn't been around. I think its the start of the school hols so she'll be busy with her DS but this thread is tricky to be around sometimes. We're very unique in that we're an amalgamation of three threads normally found in completely different sections of talk; support after mc (bereavement), ttc (conception) and ante-natal(pregnancy).

When I first joined last October we were all recovering from mc, and slowly but surely we started to fall pg again and sadly some of us mc again. Rather than bow out though, we stayed on sharing good news and holding hands. It has been hard at times, I remember announcing my 2nd MMC one hour after Vjay announced her BFP. Sometimes I couldn't post as I was so down but
I kept on here as inspiration to keep trying.

We are all conscious of providing support to those of us still recovering from mc and ttc but at the same time rooting for those getting scans and bigger and bigger bumps. Its a fine balancing act between feeling free to update on all the good news whilst being mindful of the sensitivites of those a few steps back.

What I'm trying to say , is we're unique and strong but sometimes its just a bit too much.

Love to all x

Neeko · 23/07/2009 16:34

Only 2 left - bid quickly!

Sorry Gracie Keep forgetting to offer you my hand for tomorrow although I'm sure all will be fine. Telling everyone will be quite a relief in the end up, I'm sure, and just think of all the RL support you'll have

Annie Here's my other hand. Hope your news is reassuring tomorrow and allows you to enjoy this lo's impending arrival at last.
