Here's a shiny new thread named especially for 4ever, let this be the one where we get lots and lots of new BFPs and everyone's pants get bigger

Ever onwards and upwards for all of you lovely ladies

Neeko · 06/07/2009 11:04

sophable remember you are looking for patterns in your cycle. a single temperature means nothing on its own. Have you done the training course on fertility friend. It's very helpful/

cupcakefairy · 06/07/2009 11:04

We don't own the thunder hoping, you can steal away whenever you like sorry AF got you but great to hear you sounding so positive about the next month survival kit to the ready! Get glugging that disgusting lovely grapefruit juice!!

Sophable sorry to hear about the confusing temps too, but try not to worry...sometimes they can just go up and down randomly and it's the general pattern you're looking for so keep going (and yes, as curly says probably keep up the bd!)

Oooh MLS that Mama Mio stuff looks lush, may have to bookmark that for when the time comes...

Mermaid have you caved yet? How you holding up? I've been getting the funniest twinges in my tummy all day yesterday and this morning...but then last month I felt really nauseous and AF came so I think my head is just messing with me! Time will tell...

hopingalways · 06/07/2009 10:30

hang in there sophable sorry to hear you've been feeling so down. We saved you a comfy corner of the sofa so plonk yourself down and know that we're all here to hold your hand.

happy anniversaries to neeko and 4ever! Really hope you're feeling better 4ever, you had such a horrible week last week

ladies, do not attempt the hat pattern. I might be able to knit but I can not count. If this pattern fits your DC I am very sorry because a child should not be shaped like that! I'm knitting up the first one now so I'll correct the pattern as I go along, and translate it from code into long hand so it's legible!

vjay you do not want knitted pants in this weather. seriously. you will only get an itchy bottom. I will knit your DC an extra big hat so it fits them once the weather gets cooler.

I need to update the list - AF finally got me at the weekend this is a moment because that meant yesterday was the first day of the month I make my DH a daddy

Also means I wont be stealing cupcake and mermaid's thunder! good luck ladies!

Curlywurlee · 06/07/2009 09:58

I didn't understand any of that sophable but could you just bd every night till it starts rising again just in case

OP posts:
Heathcliffscathy · 06/07/2009 09:42

guys am in despond. my temps rose but today i've recorded the lowest temp on my chart! I think i ov'd CD13 i'm CD16 now but maybe i haven't ov'd or maybe i am ANOVULATORY!

or maybe i have fallback rise pattern.

poo.

Curlywurlee · 06/07/2009 09:27

Mornin everyone. Due to lack of food staying in my tum at the weekend I now am completely wiped out so have decided to do my fellow commuters a favour and call in sick today rather than collapse dramatically on the train which YAY means I can have a duvet day!!!

gracie you poor love, that sounds awful. How was the stomach pain over the weekend. Are you seeing any improvement? I was wondering whether it would be worth keeping a diary of what you eat in case it is related to certain foods?

4ever I am so praying that this is yours and mermaids month, and that we get lots of BFPs from everyone else too. Your anniversary plans sound wonderful and hopefully you can look back in a years time with your lo in your arms and think that was the day everything became wonderful again

Neeko lol at my future boobs DH was well impressed with the artwork and more than a bit excited at the possibility of even more boob jobs to come

blue I can't believe you waited a whole week after AF to test!!!! I remember a time when I didn't even know when AF was due

Welcome back iggy we missed ya lots. Have you eated any mini milks yet? You'll need them to get through this 2ww. I will behave meself and not ask when you are testing yet

mls sorry couldn't find the garlicky cheese but hope you enjoyed the smelly blue cheese instead. Hmm enough talk of smelly cheese . How are you today honey?

Jools Fab work on operation seduction, and on operation fit into basque. Fingers are tightly crossed for you now

Big hellos to Moon and everyone else.

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 06/07/2009 08:46

haha - found you !!

Welcome back Iggy - sounds like you had a "productive" break

Mermaid and Cupcake - any more symptoms ? Fingers tightly crossed for you - oh and I can cross legs safely aswell now I'm starting the 2WW

A belated Happy Birthday to MLS and Neeko - the party food sounded lovely I'll be 40 in November, so not far behind you.

Sophable - haven't read your thread but am with you on desperation levels - I'm going to be the oldest first time mum at antenatal classes sometime soon !

Hoping - I vaguely remember knitting pom poms and the odd very long, holey scarf but haven't attempted anything probably since the age of 12 Maybe if I could go to a class on how to knit, I could join you, but for now, I'll just sit back and admire your handiwork

Gracie - your matron sounds lovely That cocoa butter doesn't sound good My mum gave me a huge bottle of bio oil last time round - I never got to open it, but it is hidden in a cupboard waiting for next time.

Vjay - do we need an extra category for bursting out of pants

Moon - plod along, head down, one day at a time - that is where I am at the moment, and probably most of the rest of us. We will all get there.

Hope you enjoyed your garlicky cheese Curly and lets hope your shiny new thread is indeed lucky for 4Ever and a few others

Well, a mixed weekend - DP more interested in a late film on Friday, both a little too inebriated and tired on Saturday, failed BD attempt Sunday morning and I'd given up hope, but the black basque (which now fits ) did the trick last night. I felt ov pains yesterday afternoon and again this morning, so am hopeful .

Let the paranoia symptom spotting commence

Just wondering if Barbie is home and well. I did text her as agreed with Mollie's fabulous scan news, but haven't heard back.

Happy Monday to anyone I missed Gotta go and do some work ...

4everhopeful · 06/07/2009 08:34

Morning & belated Happy Birthday to you MLS! Sounds like I missed a fab party here yesterday!

Also Happy belated Birthday & Anniversary to you Neeko! Curly you are such a sweetheart for starting this thread & naming it this! In my honour?!? xxxxxxxx Big hug & kiss to you!

I took Mermaids advice & treated myself to some sparkly rose, does that count? Mermaid Im excited for you & hope you get something sparkly within a couple of days too!

Thanks to everyone for the licence to ramble & being so lovely! I was feeling very oh woe me & I hate being self pitying so apologies, altho I know Im allowed too anytime on here & Im so grateful to you all for that! Big kisses to you lovelies xxxxxxxx A good sleep & some quality DH time helped massively! Madly decided to paint the bedroom before we move back in so another paint splattered weekend for us! Been good therapy tho I think Am half daying it today to go hairdressers, then off tomorrow for our anniversary, we're getting a new TV delivered in the morning, then popping to our church, a wander round our wedding venue garden, & a drive through Richmond park to our wedding night hotel for dinner, cant wait! Hopefully my OPK will be positive today or tomorrow to really mark it with a bang! (Ooops no pun intended!)

MummyLovesSadie · 06/07/2009 07:22

GG Mama Mio is the only way to go. I used it when I was pregnant with dd & didn't get a single stretch mark.

GracieGirl · 05/07/2009 22:14

Yeah found you!

Just a quick post as feeling a bit rough. Someone recomended I start using Palmers Cocoa Butter to prevent stretch marks. Used it yesterday and now my skin is peeling off, horrible nasty very itchy manky looking red rash over whole abdomen. Yuk!

Neeko · 05/07/2009 22:08

Welcome back Iggy We eated lots of mini milks while you were away Fingers crossed for your 2ww.

iggypiggy · 05/07/2009 22:05

hello all!

Am back from Italy and have missed you all. There are do many pages to catch up with - will do properly tomorow - but for now:

mls have been thinking about you while was away - I hope you are as ok as you can be and that your birthday party was good x

to everyone else before my big catch up tomorrow xxxx

My holiday was fab, although sadly lacking in mini milk action, but lots of BD action - so am hoping I ov'd during the week away!

xxx

Neeko · 05/07/2009 21:55

Blue What did you think of the end? i'm having real withdrawl symptoms

Moon Plodding's good. Slow and steady wins the race as they say. Stay strong, lovely lady.

Neeko · 05/07/2009 21:52

Hello! Great new thread (once I'd got over the panic about where you'd all gone! )

Did I miss the food?

DH is wanting on here soon so I'll need to catch up tomorrow.

MLS Remember your body doesn't own a calendar so has no idea how old you are (but your eggs are 22!) happy birhday again, special lady.

Hi to Sophable and welcome back.

Cupcake and mermaid Test! Test! Test!

Curly Loving the (.)(.) - They'll be ( . )( . ) before long! Embrace it.

Vjay I ended up in size 16 maternity clothes before DD was born. I started off in size ten Sending you a sympathetic hug.

See you all tomorrow.

bluesatinsash · 05/07/2009 21:42

Curly - thanks for new thread and lovely ode to 4ever - let's hope it brings lots and lots of BFPs and more importantly sticky beans and growing bellies .

MLS - I like your taste in food!! Really hope you had a lovely day today and 40 is DEFINATELY the new 30

Sophable - just peeked at your other thread and fingers tightly crossed for you on the 2ww.

Moon - can relate to 'plodding' that's exactly how I felt both times, not desperately sad after a couple of weeks had past but slow and distracted.

Neeko - yay! to +opk, I'm all excited for you x

cupcake lol at testing on day 38. I was like that with DS - think I tested one WEEK after AF was late, I mean WTF?! Tested on CD27 this time, how times change .

Vjay - lovely mental image of you slipping into MASSIVE pants that will double up as papoos for baby once he's here .

Anyone watch the tennis?? It was fantastic although I was so wanting Roddick to win as he wears his heart on his sleeve and I quite fancy hime too . Hats off to Federer though he is just sublime.

Babydust to all testing this week, I do feel some BFP's coming on.

Curlywurlee · 05/07/2009 20:57

How about tomorrow mermaid???? or Tuesday? or Wednesday? he he bad curly

Just nipping out to the shop to get some garlicky cheese. Back soon

mermaidspurse · 05/07/2009 20:49

lovely new thread and love the dedication for 4ever that is lovely.

mls I hope you have managed to get through today in one piece, surrounded by loved ones food and drink has got to be a fairly good recipe for a 40th. I just so wished it could have been different for you. Look at it as the new epoch of mls and strut your stuff when you can bear to that is.xxx

omg hoping I just looked at your knitting pattern. Are you by any chance a member of mensa? how on earth can you understand that? Respect

cupcake do you really reckon? Even thinking I maybe could be has made me see how much my dh is really bricking it. Don't reckon he will ever touch me again

sophable hello stranger I will keep all bits of me crossed for you this month. Its hard when you have that growing age gap as well as the ol clock ticking. Its sounding good though girlx

jools stamping my foot for you. They know don't they when we need them! honestly men they make everything far more complicated than it need ever be. Hope you are ok apart from feeling like you may want to wallop him round the head with a wet kipper that is

vjay I fear we may may need a sub catergory for the xtra largest pants? Is your back ok?

curly hello when do you want me to test then

blue a day at a time is fab advice hope your week goes a wee bit better than last.x

The chemist in boots sold me dispersible asprin you get loads for 99p. She said this was better suited for an asprin baby

VJaybigpants · 05/07/2009 20:46

I will be needing the extra large pants after eating all of mls's party food, it sounds soooo yummy

MummyLovesSadie · 05/07/2009 20:37

Lovely, I love olives, hummus & fresh bread. Could we have some really garlicky soft cheese too?

Curlywurlee · 05/07/2009 20:23

lol VJ maybe we should ask hoping to knit you some extra large pants though as it is she must be doing a knitting marathon for us

Moon your mum is right I think. The periods in which you start to feel normal and yourself again get longer, and the sadness gets less. Don't ever feel you should stop grieving, everyone else moves on in RL but this is your sadness. And we've got more hugs than you can shake a stick at whenever you need them xxxx

MLS a big birthday hug for you too. I think we've gone a bit mediteranean with the food selection for your party, lots of olives, fresh bread, hummus and M&S lovelies. Posh wine too and cupcakes yummy cakes

sophable fingers and everything crossed for you.

BlueMoon1981 · 05/07/2009 20:13

hi vjay you are right, you don't ever forget but it becomes a little less painful and a little easier to bear over time.

so what happens when you grow out of your maternity clothes you must have a very big healthy bean in there!

VJaybigpants · 05/07/2009 20:08

hi moon that's sound advice from your mum, my nan said the same thing to me, just take it a day at a time and it will get easier...and it does

BlueMoon1981 · 05/07/2009 20:01

hi curly well done for starting the new thread i am ok thank you, i am 'plodding along' as my mum calls it, she tells me to keep plodding and i will get there one day. things aren't too bad, just feeling very sad, but i can at least think about things without crying now. how are you doing? xx

VJaybigpants · 05/07/2009 19:56

mls forty is the new thirty

VJaybigpants · 05/07/2009 19:56
