VJaybigpants · 08/07/2009 16:40

hoping just to add to your confusion, when I was pg with ds my af was light, very light for me, so that's why I did a test and it was positive!

hopingalways · 08/07/2009 16:37

ladies will post properly this evening, but going mad and need to be pulled back to reality...

for a few days now been feeling a bit queasy, dizzy, had slightly swollen boobs and odd taste in my mouth...and AF . very light AF, even by my standards [hmmm].

I'm going mad, aren't I ladies? AF is AF, I can't possibly be pg, can I?

VJaybigpants · 08/07/2009 16:30

I can't keep up with you all sorry but I'll give it a go,
meramid has the evil witch got you yet or not?
blue thanks for the papoos link, I'm thinking of getting something similar, but they do look complicated. Lovely to hear the hb too
Welcome to tatfiter is that how you spelt it? You are in the right place for humour and support
annie hope the scanning is going well today.

That's it, I can't remember everything!!!I'm so tired I was up from half one to half three this morning, just wandering around the house burping and peeing....peeing in the toilet definatly tmi there

My dh made me laugh yesterday, he was listening to the radio and a man called Jo was being interviewed about Michael Jackson, and the interviewer asked him 'if he was a fan Jo?' and dh started to laugh. I said what's do funny, and he said Fanjo!!!Men!!! He's obviously peeked over my shoulder a few times cos how else would he know???

4everhopeful · 08/07/2009 16:23

No probs Jools its a pleasure! id rather you embroider some bigpants for me tho please!
Must of been lovely to hear h/b Blue - midwife sounds v reassuring re nuchal & bloods..
Gracie hon didnt realise an anniversary was coming up.. Me too, have a bit of a dark cloud following me cos keep thinking - this time last year - it was my 13week Pgno3, was getting scanned every week & then a trisomy problem picked up on nuchal scan, we spent our 1st wedding anniversary waiting to go back to fetal meds to see what was wrong/could be done & went back on the 15th to see our baby had died.. Its crap when edds or anniversarys come up, thats when you wanna scream at everyone in RL cos no-one possibly understyands, but we all do hon - thank god xxxxxxxxxxx

Off home now to veg in front of our massive new telly... xxxxxx

bluesatinsash · 08/07/2009 15:14

Meant to say Gracie - get some 'Sudocrem' for your tummy. Its for nappy rash/burns etc. but I use it for any rash really and its the business.

Joolsiam · 08/07/2009 15:13

Hello Grumpygracie Maybe we can cheer you up ??

Blue the thought of you falling asleep in a GP waiting room made me laugh ! Here's hoping you weren't snoring or dribbling

"4Ever - I think I'm going to embroider your name on that white coat (well I would if I could sew - you use it to such good effect Thanks for the info (also to Blue* - shall start taking the aspirin tomorrow I think

bluesatinsash · 08/07/2009 15:10

Gracie - we're all allowed grumpy mare days so be easy on yourself girl! Feel for you this week with anniversary of lost bean (I completely lost the plot at 8 weeks as lost both prev. ones then) but remember this is a brand new shiny pg and you already have successful scan under belt. Two weeks feels like an age to wait for a scan but it will be here and your DH will be there holding your hand.

re: asprin, my gynae consultant advised me to take it (one 75mg per day) from one month before ttc. It doesn't cause any side affects on baby as its such a low dose but thins blood enough that if poor blood flow to growing placenta was cause of previous mc, then asprin may be the answer . Even if it is merely a placebo affect, its better than nothing and makes us feel we're doing something positive.

Annie - enjoy seeing you bigger baby today

Just back from midwife appointment and got to hear baby's hearbeat - 170 bpm, quite high and loud and soooo reassuring, well for today! Explained about blood results and not wanting amnio etc. and she did say if I come back high they could move my 20 week scan forward so anything suspicious would be known earlier to give me longer to prepare.

Better get on, was taken late at GP's (I'd actually nodded off ) so out of office for an hour - eek!

4everhopeful · 08/07/2009 15:01

Aww bless Grumpygracie for shunning dressing gown with non matching tie for white coat & positive story for me! Hug for you honey xx You are describing me this time last year I got signed off with pg3 for about 8 wks & spent most of it in dressing gown, slumped about, being unconstructive & hardly leaving the house, obsessing about everything & getting quite down. Think thats when I first started feeding obsession lurking on MN! (took me about 3m to post tho!) You carry on sweetie. You have a bean to protect & worry about so you have a licence to do wtf you like!

GracieGirl · 08/07/2009 14:29

4ever this time I got a pos opk on monday and we BD'd twice on sunday, and once on tuesday, wednesday and thursday and that worked for us. I vote that once more for good luck tonight can't hurt!

GracieGirl · 08/07/2009 14:26

hello everyone, Sorry I've not really been round since saturday I've been feeling a bit grumpy. My rash is still as bad and extremely itchy, and I'm 9 and a half weeks which is exactly the time I had my private scan last time and found the baby was dead. I don't want to go for a scan this week as I'm afraid of history repeating itself, in any case DH is away for a week so I couldn't go without him. Two weeks and 2 days till my NHS scan so going to wait till then I think. After giving my DH grief last time for not being around when I had my ERPC I can't really purposely arrange a scan when he's not around.

I had no morning nausea despite being really disorganised getting breakfast this morning which worries me too.

I've done absolutely nothing today of either use or enjoyment, I haven't even got dressed, which really isn't going to make the time go quick till my scan.

In fact some poor bloke who rang my doorbell about an hour ago trying to sell me new windows must wonder what the hell the thing that answered the door and grumped at him was! Wearing odd socks, dressing gown with wrong tie and none matching PJs, with greasy sticking up hair and a scowl!

Right come on Grumpy Gracie pull yourself together and go and catch up with whats been happening on the thread.

4everhopeful · 08/07/2009 14:21

4ever enters room donned in white coat (hmm quite sexy, could use this later )My NHS consultant prescribed aspirin for my 4th PG & took it about wk 5 but asked my private consultant can I take while ttc & he said no harm - why not, so I am, have been for last month now... It is just one a day Jools (75mg). Iggy you missed the discussions while you were on hol, basically aspirin is given as 'cure' to alot of the recurrent mc causes (sticky blood syndrome etc). Even when you dont have any of these causes (all my tests were negative prior to going to Portland) my NHS doc still advised it, as is apparently standard when no oth reason found... Anything that will help eh girls?

OPK -ive again, looks like +ive was on mon, the one day we didnt BD! (..but did sat, sun & tues morn & night) passes white coat over - do you think that will be OK?

iggypiggy · 08/07/2009 13:50

Whats the deal with aspirin?

Neeko · 08/07/2009 13:37

Snap Jools I bought some the other day too. Just because I was in Boots you understand I'm sure it's just one a day and that starting from your bfp will be soon enough but I'm sure the experts will fill you in soon. Have my fingers crossed for you.

Joolsiam · 08/07/2009 13:31

hehe MLS - shall we get the Barbiemobile out and raid the place

A queston on junior aspirin - wanting to be prepared and getting dangerously excited by my early symptoms, I went out and bought some today

If I do decide to take them, when shoud I start - now, when I suspect pregnancy, or at 4 weeks when if I get a BFP ??

I know someone posted on this earlier, but is it just one tablet per day ??

Neeko · 08/07/2009 13:03

lol MLS I thought about posting something similar when I saw that today. Scary stuff to think that you would only need a man's skin cell to make him a father. I suppose potentially we could then all make babies with George Clooney et al!

iggypiggy · 08/07/2009 12:01

mls am so sorry - I forgot you on my morning message hope the headaches have gone? xx

MummyLovesSadie · 08/07/2009 11:57

Jools & MrsKate I saw on the news this morning that scientists in the uk have managed to successfully manufacture human sperm.... hows about the three of us find out where the lab is & storm it with turkey basters? I'm sure our dh's would probably thank us for it.

iggypiggy · 08/07/2009 11:00

4ever x-posted! Glad you had nice anniversary anyway - bike sounds nice - we used to cycle around Richmond Park - but since we got the dog haven't actually been there for ages.. I hope you right about my holiday Hoepfully you done enough BD for this month and on 2ww now xx

iggypiggy · 08/07/2009 10:56

hola Emmsy's girls

I has just eated some gooseberries and expereice was combination of and may need mini milks later tho..

moon you should always come here and vent at us if you need/ want to. It takes so much longer than you think to start feeling more normal - I kept feeling ok - and then feeling hugely cross and tearful and angry with everyone again. I particulary focussed my anger on the PG woman in my office who has an EDD two days before mine would have been and she had a scare at an early scan that there was something wrong - I thought horrible things then. But am ok with her now. Sorry for rambling - but please come and talk to us whenever you want to xx

kate your poor thing - have a huge hug - and make sure you look after yourself - we are always here for you. x

Neeko um.. symptoms rubbish - but strange feelings not like af... makes me hopeful... but who knows - is bit early - give me a week and I'll have more for you Am so pleased you got your temp rise! Although concerned you thinking of me in conjunction with sex

mollie glad you got reading for bleeding - but shame about the sex ban - or is it a shame?

cupcake that is a lovely pic of you and your DH I don't mind sharing my pic with you lot - but don't want it on the web - maybe will send around the email addresses? Shall I?

annie good luck for your scan

curly sorry you still sick - but is good thing i guess - and well done for toast eating sucess

tattifer welcome

jools oops - have been so busy have only really had time for this thread.. will go back and post now Your symptoms sound hopeful - hope this is your month!

Bluemoon big hugs to you sweetie, its a long process, roll with it, dont knock yourself.. xx
Hoping also struggling hon? Im there, last week was absolute isht for me..

Thanks for anniversary wishes ladies, as it chucked it down all day didnt go to to our wedding night hotel in richmond park, in laws popped a card in & ended up wiring up our new telly so never got out of house til gone 3pm! Went church & venue for a romantic wander & sun even came out for 10mins, then to our fave chinese so was lowkey & not as planned but still lovely! DH got me a bike as present! He got a new one the day he broke his hand which he couldnt ride so its his new toy, & he wanted to share with me! Cue long bike rides in parks etc, tho I did say hopefully will stay in shed for next 9m! More succesful BD but OPK medium colour positive on mon, not sure it was dark enough so didnt think it was, but lighter even since so confused? Done every night apart from mon (shattered) so fingers crossed! I guess im on 2ww

Joolsiam · 08/07/2009 10:18

Morning all

Such a shame if Emmsys Angels has gone - it certainly saved my sanity and was a good stepping stone to here. My first major MC was a very dark and scary place and I was in shock for a long while (the tears start just thinking about it )

Iggy - you are missed on the GFJ thread - your details are out of date

Sorry about the headaches MLS I echo the comments about drinking lots of water. Strangely, the day before my MC in November, I was ridiculously thirsty and drank litres and litres of water - am quite in awe of my body because I'm sure that this was in preparation for (sorry in advance) the world falling out of my bits the next day. I think I'd have been quite seriously ill if it wasn't for being incredibly well hydrated beforehand ...

Kate - thinking of you x x My DP is prone to depression and men clam up and retreat into their cave, lashing out if you try to talk or help them. It can be very upsetting, so look after yourself.

Fingers crossed Cupcake that you will be the first BFP on this thread Love the youthful pic

Good scan vibes to Annie Neeko - phew - DP can stand down

Curly - my posts are usually short and I always forget someone I am in awe of yours and love reading them Glad you managed to keep some food down.

Welcome Tattifer - I think you have to laugh about these things or you would go into total meltdown, and this thread does make me smile Pull up a glass of rose (you've got to add strawberries and join in

Enjoy your day out Mermaid - hope you don't get rained on

Moon - hope today is a better one. You will slowly have more good days than bad.

Hope you had a lovely anniversary 4Ever

Hello to Hopeful, Vjay, Lion HopefullylurkingBarbie, NosexMollie and anyone I've embarrassingly and inadvertantly left out Gotta go do some work soon, and buy a satnav - any recommendations ?

Symptom spotting - lots of creamy cm last night - different somehow to usual but I can't really describe how without going into way too much detail on texture and colour ! Diarrhea again this morning, which is unusual. Mild nausea. Massive appetite - broke my diet last night and had to have pizza who knows !!! Tis going to be a very long 2WW I think
