Ever onwards and upwards for all of you lovely ladies

Annie - how are you today? I could so picture you in that scan room with the bloody sonographer umming and awwing . Really hope Jool's link put your mind at ease. I've never heard of it before now. God, there are so many things for us to fret and worry about .

MLS - we're all thinking about you today, hope it goes a well as these things can. I know I felt huge relief after mine, like I'd had a good clear out which sounds brutal but compared to weeks of bleeding with 1st natual mc, was so much better emotionally. My hormones rebooted almost straight away too..

Curlywurlee · 08/07/2009 22:59

Hey tattifer welcome to our lovely cave. TTC after MC is terrifying so you are in just the right place. If you are not using them already, I'd recommend you get some opks. DH and I convinced ourselves that we would get pregnant quickly as the previous two times it happened first month but it didn't happen till we used opks and realised we had the timing wrong

Moon hang in there honey. Soon the weekend and you can relax and get away from all these pregnant people in the office. How about you plan something really nice to do this weekend. You so deserve it xxx

Mermaid it only counts as a holiday if you get lots of BD action

MLS I'll be thinking of you tomorrow honey. Please text if you get lonely or worried. Hopefully it will be done fast, it really is quick and before you know it you will be home and tucked up in bed. Once that part is over, we will start on operation getmlsuptheduff xxx

Neeko my boobs are fantabulous... DH still gazes in wonder Fab news about the temp rise, YAY we are on the 2ww. Have some guilt free wine, soon enough you will have to give it up When are you off on hols? Thanks for the group hug. I think we need it today

Annie you poor thing, but that link makes a lot of sense. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about honey, though of course you will. I'll ask my sister who's a baby doc about it and see if I can get more reassurance for you.

Jools nice one finding that link for Annie. I loved your extra long post earlier

Send us your pic Iggy, it's nice to put a face to a name

gracie I don't blame you for being grumpy. This waiting business is so hard. I looked at this mother with her baby on the train today and I felt like screaming why is it so easy for everyone else and so hard for all of us. 9 sleeps till my scan and I'm getting more and more negative about the outcome every day. I wish we could all hire a cottage by the sea and stay there till we're all at week 12, or maybe week 39

Blue lol at you falling asleep. I'm so pleased for you hearing the heartbeat. Is it true that it sounds like a horse galloping?

4ever it breaks my heart that you got to 13 weeks and then lost your lo I hope that you get good news soon to help take away some of the heartache of the past xxx

VJ lol at your dh. Mine loves to get a sneaky peek of what is going on but I don't let him too often in case he learns something he really shouldn't know about

hoping Don't torment yourself honey. Do a test.

kate I am worried about you. I hope you get through tonight okay and get some sleep tomorrow.

gosh another long post. Time for bed again xxx

Moon Don't hold yourself responsible for other people's happiness when you're struggling to cope yourself. MC makes you feel angry, frustrated, sad and full of despair all in one. You're not in control (like the rest of us) and can't account for your actions, far less your thoughts. as Jools says: be kind to yourself.

BlueMoon1981 · 08/07/2009 21:45

mls i will be thinking of you tomorrow too, you've been so strong through all this and you deserve a giant gold star xx

neeko i think i'm just having one of those weeks, i'm very tearful, everyone and everything is annoying me (present company excepted of course), i'm being very quiet in case i say anything to offend anyone, and that poor pg lady i was talking about yesterday hasnt been back to work and i feel awful i hope she is ok

i am up for that group hug

anniebigpants · 08/07/2009 21:42

Thanks for the group hug Neeko, made me feel a lot better.X

Neeko · 08/07/2009 21:31

Vjay Loved the peeing mental image too. You're just like my DD!

Hoping can you test and put yourself out of your misery?

4ever So are we having a testing party?

I'm starting a group hug as there's so many on here needing it!

Neeko · 08/07/2009 21:27

Annie so sorry that the scan has left you more worried than before you went Have everything crossed that your mind will be put at rest soon. You've been so good up to now so try to stay strong.

MLS I'll be there in spirit tomorrow holding your hand. You're nearly at the top of the first hill now and will soon be allowed a few moments to catch your breath. Take care.

jools You made me laugh too. The ups and downs are what I love so much about this thread.

Gracie really glad you're being sensible and staying off. Have you tried the sudocrem?

Moon Are you feeling a little stronger today?

anniebigpants · 08/07/2009 21:24

I,ll be thinking of you tomorrow MLS, big hugs lovely lady.

anniebigpants · 08/07/2009 21:21

Thank you jools MLS Moon and Gracie, you are all so lovely, thinking of me when you have your own worries.

GracieGirl · 08/07/2009 21:07

Evening. Well I've managed to get dressed and went round to mums for dinner.

Annie sorry to hear you are having a worrying time. Jool's thread does sound reasuring but like MLS said I wish I could fast forward things for you.

Becks congratulations on your BFP.

MLS have my hand to hold for tomorrow. Huge hug xxxxx

Just spent the last 2 hours mending my computer after a major system error - I hate it when that happens and you end up messing wth things you really haven't got much clue about when trying to reinstall everything. All looks ok now.

Saw the GP this afternoon, I have another weeks sicknote and he agrees that my manky rash is an allergic reaction and nothing to be concerned about. Its not half itchy though!!! and not getting any smaller!

BlueMoon1981 · 08/07/2009 20:39

well said mls

BlueMoon1981 · 08/07/2009 20:38

annie i hope everything will be ok, i dont have any experience of what you are talking about, but just wanted you to know i am thinking of you and have my hands ready for holding if you need a squeeze xx

MummyLovesSadie · 08/07/2009 20:35

Oh Annie I so wish I could fast-forward things for you just to reassure you that everything will be ok. Jools that link was brilliant. These bloody doctors & sonographers seem to have no bloody idea how much of an impact not only every word but every intonation of every word they say has on us.

anniebigpants · 08/07/2009 20:27

Thank you Jools for that very helpful link. The 3rd newest post was very reassuring. Think i need to stop googling so much and just try and forget about it.

Joolsiam · 08/07/2009 20:22

Annie - I remembered a thread I'd read ages ago and have gone and found it - VERY reassuring - read the 3rd newest post

here

anniebigpants · 08/07/2009 20:18

Forgot to say thank you for all the kind wishes yesterday and today, means a lot to me.

anniebigpants · 08/07/2009 20:17

Evening ladies, well, i had my scan today and ive came away quite worried. Sonographer wasnt too friendly, i had to go into scan room by myself first, sonographer was scanning for ages with the screen towards her and keep going 'hmm', she then asked me what my dates were and said 'ive just got to speak to one of the consultants, i'll be back in a sec', well you can imagine what was going through my mind, she came back into room smiling, i blurted out'is everything okay, is there a heartbeat', she said 'Yes of course, you've got a real livewire in there', then went on to explain that even though the consultant at my 12 week scan dated me as 4 days further on, she shouldnt have changed my dates as the EDD from my 9 week scan would have been more accurate, she couldnt see the kidneys clearly so wants me to go back for a re scan in 2 weeks. What has got me really worried though is she told me baby has CPC,s (choroid plexus cysts) one either side in its head, she told me there is no other 'soft markers' present to indicate there is a problem, and these CPC,s are likely to have disappeared by 22-24 weeks. Of course the first thing i did was google CPC,s when i got home this evening, it is a marker (along with other things) for Edwards syndrome, a life limiting condition, more common in older woman, i can tick that box then.
The rational part of me thinks-'if she was at all concerned she would have told me, and probably suggested amnio' but im afraid i cant think rationally .
DH was so worried, im playing it down, he thinks im cool about it, as i dont want to spoil his holidays, we've had enough shit to worry about this year already.
Sorry for the rambling self obsessed post, i dont really want to talk to any of my friends in RL about this, i know you ladies will understand.

Joolsiam · 08/07/2009 20:11

Well I was kinda hoping it might make you smile

MummyLovesSadie · 08/07/2009 18:44

Jools once again nearly spat my alcoholic beverage over my Mac! We have the same problem which is exactly why we need to find that darned lab!

Joolsiam · 08/07/2009 18:00

Well, if you pardon the pun - its not been that "hard"over here, which is why I'm still TTC !!

iggypiggy · 08/07/2009 17:59

is not chore - but prob is finding the time on some days

MrsKate · 08/07/2009 17:56

bd for me and dh has turned into a chore and and non existant at the mo . why is is so difficult to have a baby . it shoulnt be this hard (pardon the pun )

iggypiggy · 08/07/2009 17:46

i hate ttc

well I like the BD action bit...

but the rest is rubbish

MrsKate · 08/07/2009 17:36

thanks vjay xxxx

VJaybigpants · 08/07/2009 17:35

me again, mls and kate I think one of the hardest things is the waiting....waiting for 1st af after mc, then the bloody 2ww, etc....I just hated the waiting. I really feel for you both, you're both going through such hard but different situations, but we emmsy's are always hear to 'listen'.
