Vjay at you being the August ante-natal! What pram did you go for in the end? I get all lusty over prams for some reason, like some women are with shoes .

Gracie - no the knicker checking doesn't stop, I still say a silent 'please no' when I go to loo, but that's what 5 weeks of bleeding does for the sanity...

Mondayschmunday x

VJaybigpants · 13/07/2009 18:02

I am on the August antenatal thread, not I am it!!!!

VJaybigpants · 13/07/2009 18:01

Thanks gracie there have been times when I've felt like I shouldn't, but I started this jpurney with you all and I feel like we are all in this together . I will be 34 weeks on Wednesday, so just over 6 weeks to go. I am the August antenatal thread too, but don't post on there as much, this is always my first port of call

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 17:55

Vjay you must be about 34 weeks now. Thank you for sticking with us Emmsys and not abandoning us now you're nearly there, its great to hear all about how you're getting on . You're an inspiration to us all!

VJaybigpants · 13/07/2009 17:44

gracie friday week does seem far at the moment, you'll have to try and distract yourself, not easy though I know, and the between toilet knicker checks are totally normal, well for us mc sufferes anyway

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 17:42

10 weeks today. Next scan a week on friday, which really isn't that far away but feels like months! Poor Vjay I hope you get some sleep tonight. I was hoping i might be able to stop the "between toilet visits knicker checking" at some point soon though! I'm just so paranoid.

VJaybigpants · 13/07/2009 17:34

Hi mermaid and gracie I'm definatly muddling slong today, I'm sooo tired, was up every hour last night, I will be so prepared for night feeds now

gracie the knicker checking doesn't go away believe me, how many weeks are you now?

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 17:28

Hello Vjay! Muddling slong is a great phrase!

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 17:26

Hello Mermaid! Yes I'm ok, just didn't realise how tired and dazed I would be for a few days. I now want to stay in bed forever and I'm trying really hard not to knicker-check every 3 minutes!

mermaidspurse · 13/07/2009 17:26

muddling slong! hi vjay

VJaybigpants · 13/07/2009 17:24

muddling slong, is that some kind of slang I'm not down with mermaid??

mermaidspurse · 13/07/2009 17:08

now everyone else is gone gracie are you muddling slong ok today poor frazzled lady?

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 17:05

Bless *Neeko's DD.

Pleased to see Mermaid is back.

Waves to Iggy and MLS.

MummyLovesSadie · 13/07/2009 16:43

Something to make us all smile - Neeko's dd said today that when she grows up she wants to be a big boy like daddy!

iggypiggy · 13/07/2009 12:52

mermaid x-posted! glad you back! Glad you feeling less pressured

iggypiggy · 13/07/2009 12:50

cupcake and jools you flatterers you can assure you am also usually very scruffy.

MLS I can't help wishing we had started earlier - but there you go...

cupcake I thought this would be your month too - teh AF hormone nightmare is so much worse when you convinced it should be your month - is what I am worried about for this month...

Gracie your FIL sounds v. unhelpful! Luckily we hadn't told MIL about the MC - we were waiting for scan before we told anyone - except my family. My my is a retired A&E sister and my Dad is a Consultant (not retired yet) and they can be v. bad for telling me stuff like that! My mum told me I couldn't poss be needing to wee lots as that only happens at the end bless them tho - they been great... Although I have told them we not trying again for a bit - cos I don't want to be asked..

mls I hope bleeding is last for you too x

jools what day you going to test?

hello everyone else. x

mermaidspurse · 13/07/2009 12:45

afternoon ladies obviously I got lost getting back over the Tamar
gracie you must be utterly wrung out and exhausted. I think that everyone of us would agree that this is the most hair-raisng rollercoaster of a ride. Just take it easy - so easy to write I know, but you know what I mean.

hoping well done for summoning up all that energy to be calm positive and forward looking. Move forward 2 squares and have a bit of chocolate If we have to slide down a snake occasionally we know we will eventually get that lucky 6.

jools I am going to confiscate your white coat and am sending you some of my work to do so that you can't think about symptoms for the next week. Seroiusly though lovely lady I am hopeful.x

iggy you too, fingers crossed. Only very refined ladies can make a hat look that magestic, very impressed.x

cupcake sorry that af caught up with you and hope you are feeling a bit better. At least your mil sounds lovely and understanding

mls there is room in the greenhouse and you are more than welcome. I have cold rose in the wateringcanJust bring a nice comfy chair and some nibbles. Has the bleeding stopped completely now? Hope you are as ok as possible.

kate atta girl hope you are both ok.

4ever blady blah to all those people with their well meaning comments. Horray for your lovely friend and please please please let it be your month.xx

I think we have had a bit of a bug hence all the symptons I had. dh started complaining of a metal taste in his mouth and feeling sick, giddy etc. I still do feel giddy and a bit off in general so humpf.
Don't know what day I am on which is rather liberating actually and I feel like I have removed a bit of pressure. It will be a different story tomorrow

curly hoping you are feeling ok, keeping food down and are ok.x

did I miss neeko going on holiday?

Joolsiam · 13/07/2009 12:37

4Ever - I just can't help myself with the symptom spotting this time - perhaps because I have more symptoms than I ever did with my last mc. I shall try to keep calm and obsess on other threads rather than bringing it in here

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 12:17

MLS I hope this bleeding is the last of it for you. have a big hug from me. x

MummyLovesSadie · 13/07/2009 12:11

I think it must be the planets which are making us all feel so shite.

Cupcake I didn't post with a scan update, I had a tummy one first on Friday & the doctor thought the sac was still there after erpc so did an internal one & then he said it was just blood clots left. I started bleeding again yesterday so hopefully this really is the last of it. Your MIL sounds fantastic.

GracieGirl · 13/07/2009 12:08

Yes MLS FIL is a retired anaesthetic consultant therefore he knows everything!

I was trying to work out when Barbie is back, friday I think. Neeko is away for a week I think from saturday, though I could be wrong, my brain wasn't working on saturday.

Jools promising symptoms.

My friend who's had IVF is testing tomorrow, the poor girl is a nervous wreck.

Waves to 4ever, jools and Iggy. Mermaid is still AWOL.

DH is home and had gone to bed, though he did tell me about one of his patients he's been looking after during the night. He's been banned from telling me any scary or sad stories, only ones with happy endings - I can stress myself out very well on my own without his help! This lady had 7 miscarriages, all investigations normal. She came in last night at 36 weeks with babies foot half way out! All a bit scary during the night as one foot first is definately not the way to go. But now mum and baby both well and happy!

4everhopeful · 13/07/2009 12:03

Gracie what is it with in laws eh? Had some unbelievable chats with MIL.. But thankfully FIL stays out of it & doesnt profress to know what period blood is like! MIL is nice, but just v insensitive, mum of 4 boys from 18, so cant understand whats wrong with me . I feel like a bloody alien.
Once again, hope you are right MLS! Its midday - lets go get pissed merry then!
Jools Id love to jump on board the train to symptomsville but am not gonna torture myself!
Cupcake Im crying at everything too, your MIL sounds lovely..
Just burst into tears on manager & confessed use of MN as internet use is being monitered! Thought id get in there first & said its my counselling, so she said about asking senior manager if I can still use it without fear of comeback!! Im now in our 'internet cafe' using safely... I work in music industry so you'd think they'd be a bit leniant but, no!

cupcakefairy · 13/07/2009 11:54

List update... mermaid did we work out whether you actually had af or not? Wasn't sure which day to put you on...

Cupcake - I'm in the Cardiff area on business every couple of months, so a meet-up sounds like a definite possibility

Your MIL sounds lovely

Iggy - sorry, forgot to say thanks for the pic, and I echo the "glamorous" comment

GG - how the hell does a mere MAN know what period blood looks like

I have a new symptom - I've been feeling quite breathless in the mornings for the last few days and was beginning to wonder if it was hayfever related (I don't suffer from hayfever or asthma though) - googled to find that it is a common early PG symptom caused by rising progesterone levels

Those BOGOF First Response tests from Boots are calling to me, but in theory I shouldn't be testing for week !!!

cupcakefairy · 13/07/2009 11:42

Morning lovely ladies

Gracie, so sooo relieved for you. I'm glad Curly texted me the news so I didn't have to worry reading through the posts from Friday! You must have been beside yourself. I can't believe what you have already been through with this pregnancy you poor thing- the pain, the ectopic scare, the bleeding... you deserve to put your feet up and just stroke your tummy for the next 30 weeks!

Hoping I love reading all your references to Cardiff; it's cool we're so close by... we'll definitely have to meet up and compare bumps once we get there Kittens sound soooo cute too! Am v jealous; desperate for a cat but our flat is too small

IggytheGlamorous (cos you really are in those pics!) I sooo hope you get your holiday baby! Fingers crossed. Speaking of In The Night Garden, it unfortunately reminds me of the mc as DH and I sat in about 3 waiting rooms with it playing on the tele during that time...weirdest experience- all adults in the room sitting nervously watching kids' tv...

Jools sounding so hopeful for you too! Glad you'll be testing early so we don't have to wait!

Neeko I too love the stories of your dd. Hope you're having a lovely holiday.

Moon so glad you are being looked after at work. How are you?

MLS Have I missed an update about your scan? Hope it was ok and they were really nice to you.

Kate YEEEEEAH to the bd improvement Go go go!

4ever so sorry to hear about the hard time at the bbq. Praying this is the month and they can all shush with their questions!

Thanks for your thoughts everyone, I was convinced this would be my BFP month too what with the excessive bd on holiday and being so relaxed about it all but it's not to be...
Had such a hard weekend at in-laws; I was totally low and had to keep dashing to the bedroom to cry. MIL asked me Saturday if I needed a hug which made me cry more. I told her about getting af and she gave me a good talking-to about having to relax about it all. I said I was sorry for being so low and she was really sweet, said she didn't care if I burst into tears.
Af coming has also forced me to do a lot of thinking this weekend. I think I have made a big decision work-wise but a little terrified about it so am still thinking hard this week.

Sorry for the ramble and sorry to anyone I have missed...thinking of you all.
