Ooooh mini milks I saw a pack in tescos last night and brought it home - tried a vanilla one last night and it was soooooooo yummy AND low fat - where have they been all my life

GracieGirl · 14/07/2009 20:58

Moon I think you're right, a group hug is required.

GracieGirl · 14/07/2009 20:55

Evening all!

My MIL rang today to say she would prefer it if I had a boy not a girl! What an odd thing to say! I just replied that I would prefer it if I got a healthy one this time. Strange woman! As if I get a choice?!!!

Loving the idea of a nice warm greenhouse, with a frezer full of Mini Milks.

I'm getting excited for Jools. I can feel another run of BFP's coming on.

MLS bless your GP! If only we could do that. I thought I'd done tremendously well to wait till day 27 this time! I have no idea how I waited till day 34 last time.

Vjay bag packing - how exciting!

A friend of mine is getting induced at 38 weeks tomorrow (gestational diabetes), was going to send a text message in the morning sending my best wishes, not really sure what to send. Any ideas? "May the force be with you!"

BlueMoon1981 · 14/07/2009 20:54

mls its like you said earlier, i feel a shadow of my former self, i can usually bounce back pretty well from most things life chucks at me, but somehow this time i've lost my fight. it takes all my effort to be brave at work so that by the time i get in the car to go home i just need to cry. but you are right, the ladies here are an inspiration and i really do think i'd have lost the plot by now if it wasn't for all of you.

how are you doing after your erpc? can we have another group hug

MummyLovesSadie · 14/07/2009 20:49

can the men be giving us really good head massages?

MummyLovesSadie · 14/07/2009 20:48

Moon don't beat yourself up about feeling so down, if your af has just come of course you are going to be all over the place emotionally. Plus four weeks ago isn't long at all. What I hate is the fact that at one minute you feel like you are coping & being brave & then the next it feels like you are about to break in half with grief. It's so goddamn hard but the likes of 4ever & Jools prove that we can get through this.

BlueMoon1981 · 14/07/2009 20:47

with men in little towels wondering around

Joolsiam · 14/07/2009 20:44

Sod the foot spas, lets have a jacuzzi in the greenhouse

BlueMoon1981 · 14/07/2009 20:35

hello lovely ladies

at mls gps comment! although i can understand why he said it - i dont know about anyone else but i knew i was pg both time before i took the test, i just did the tests for confirmation. and they were at like 5-6 weeks, i couldnt wait any longer than that!

i think i'm a bit back to front with my mcs! although i was of course completely devastated with mc no. 1, i got through it with ttc again, and the thought that 1 mc is very common. after mc no. 2, because we arent ttc straight away, i feel like i've got nothing to aim for, and i'm just kind of in limbo land. mon night i sobbed for hours uncontrollably, i still feel as if everything happened yesterday, and it was over 4 weeks ago. plus af came today, i am not impressed!

4ever you have been through some crap havent you, like the others have said, i really wish a great big fat bfp on you

vjay i love that you are still here to give us all hope

kate you and your poor dh i hope things start looking up for you soon

curly are you and your bean ok?

big waves to everyone else

mermaidspurse · 14/07/2009 20:18

get a nice nightie, not pink with egg stains down the front slippers are very important though vjay so you are nearly there!
mls yes defo a massage chair, this is begining to sound like the generation game.

VJaybigpants · 14/07/2009 20:13

So my slippers won't be enough. I'm just at the can't be bothered stage, I just hope this 'nesting' instinct kicks in and I suddenly become motivated

mermaidspurse · 14/07/2009 20:10

vjay oh thats the scary bit the bag... I had everything but the kitchen sink, the face spritzer, the socks in case your feet get cold, the muzac, energy tablets and kendal mint cake and those ace disposable nickers (I loved those, just rounded off the look perfectly). never even got time to unzip the bag I totally advocate the tems machine absolutely brilliant bit of kit.

MummyLovesSadie · 14/07/2009 20:08

Mermaid can we have one of those massage chair thingies in your greenhouse too please?

VJaybigpants · 14/07/2009 20:07

2 months even! I'm tired

VJaybigpants · 14/07/2009 20:07

mls your doctor makes a lot of sense, but as if that's ever going to happen, wait 2 weeks , only a male could suggest such a thing

mermaidspurse · 14/07/2009 20:04

jools you are turning me into a nervous wreck so god only knows how you feel Yopu had better get on here pretty sharpish in the morning or you will be able to hear me bellowing test all the way to your house.

mls lol at your dr

VJaybigpants · 14/07/2009 20:03

Fingers are firmly crossed for you tomorrow jools
mermaid I will do my best and that's all I can do. I do have a bucket that someone gave to me, unused, so that's something. I really need to get organised. I got my bag down on Sunday to start packing, so far I've put my slippers in, do you think that will be enough?

Joolsiam · 14/07/2009 19:58

Are you lot psychic !!

I was going to write in my last post that I am testing tomorrow, then deleted it as I thought I'd be better off keeping quiet Why, I don't know

Nausea returned with a vengeance early evening, I'm REALLY dizzy if I get up too quick and things are starting to smell odd. In theory, tomorrow is the first day that a First Response could pick up HCG, so will give it a go as I'm working from home.

Agree with all the comments about the subsequent MC's not being such a shock to the system - my first CP didn't really register, other than to make me determind to really TTC. The second one was the single most devastating thing that ever happened to me and the last one - I hadn't even accepted it as a pregnancy, hadn't got attached and it was a lot easier to move on from.

I wonder what feelings tomorrow will bring Symptoms are stronger than they ever were before the last mc and the nausea I've had today is as strong now as it was at 7 weeks with the previous one

mermaidspurse · 14/07/2009 19:57

I might have to put an extension on the greenhouse then and foot spas I think we need those.

If anyone can make terrys work it will be you vjay you can get those really good liners now and pads to put in as well. But basically you just need loads of buckets and a tonne of bicarb

MummyLovesSadie · 14/07/2009 19:52

MrsKate try not to worry too much, it really is overplayed by the media. I know that people have died from swine-flu which is a tragedy but people die all the time from normal flu & it doesn't make headline news. Also loads of people have recovered from swine-flu, some of them not even realising what they had.

Hoping I felt the same after my 1st mc, even though I didn't think it was going to happen to me, I thought there was no way it was going to happen a second time. I guess we just have to keep trying & hoping (always).

Vjay you should be ok with your trip.... thinking back to having a 6 week old dd, don't they just sleep & poo lots??

Jools, you testing tomorrow? Good luck lady.

Iggy same to you too.

4ever horrible, awful story from you re number 3. Surely it is your turn this month. I'm trying not to think about my 1st edd which is coming up in Sept & will not calculate how many weeks but I'm quietly desperate to be pregnant again before then.

Blue I'm with you on the hard heart after number 1. I hope I can get back to how I was before but at the moment I feel like a shell of my former self.

Right would you all like a laugh?? Of course you would. I went to see my gp today about something non mc related but he ended up asking me about my mc's. He was actually very sympathetic & helpful but said the most mind bendingly stupid thing - he said "Look, just relax & really do yourself favour, don't even think about testing until you have two missed periods, you'll save yourself a lot of heartache." Two..... TWO is he freaking crazy?????

VJaybigpants · 14/07/2009 19:48

Yes it's been raining today...bliss! There are loads of lovely reusable nappies out there but they are so expensive, terrys are cheaper, and I'm determined to make it work.
jools a fridge goes without saying, plus maybe a freezer too for some yummy icecream like the one on the Vicar of dibley, filled with icecream...bugger now I want an icecream...

mermaidspurse · 14/07/2009 19:46

jools still feeling iffy? You must be thinking about testing soon.... maybe... just wondering....

mermaidspurse · 14/07/2009 19:44

vjay hi round lady!
thats brave, classic terrys mind you the shaped ones are expensive. I did get a little ott about mine for a while lovely white nappies on the line, earth mother ltd and then it went a little pear shaped!
I found them impossible when ds started walking cos they were so bulky but I guess you have a little while to go before your bump does that
I bet you are glad its a bit cooler too.

Joolsiam · 14/07/2009 19:42

hmm - needs to be special choc Vjay or it will melt Perhaps we should have a fridge full of rose and choc in there

MrsKate - Mermaid has seen the bright side - perhaps the illness brewing was causing more issues than you realised and once he gets over this, it will all be sorted (fingers crossed)

Thanks for the Barbie update GG I log on to Facebook so infrequently, I completely forgot it was an option for communication !!

VJaybigpants · 14/07/2009 19:34

Plus my greenhouse seems to make my plants very fertile, so there's a plus.
