Ever onwards and upwards for all of you lovely ladies

Great to hear you finally got that bfn MLS though from now on we'll be hoping for bfps for you Sorry I haven't a clue about temping but let us know how you get on with the opks. Best time to do is around 2pm if you can although they should be fine till early evening also

I am singing my stay away evil witch song - DH is going to be pretty sick of this by Monday but if that's what it takes....

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 18/07/2009 13:24

Curly - if it is AF, then I'll have more brown spotting tomorrow and then the main event either tomorrow evening or Monday I think. So, not long to wait, but the hours are dragging !

I seem to have stopped shedding hair everywhere

Off to steam clean the bedroom carpets !

Curlywurlee · 18/07/2009 13:15

Jools you poor thing, this bit is just torture, isn't it? I have everything crossed for you hon. If it is a sign of AF, when would you expect AF to arrive - the next day?

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 18/07/2009 12:51

Who knows MLS {shrugging shoulders} Yes, it could be - I had brown blood at 13DPO last year and nearly didn't take a PG test, but it was a BFP

Every single AF I've had since I've been charting has had a little bit of brown spotting at 12 DPO though ....

I just have to be patient - not easy !!

MummyLovesSadie · 18/07/2009 11:37

Jools implantation??

Joolsiam · 18/07/2009 11:19

Aaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Brown spotting

Heathcliffscathy · 18/07/2009 09:14

jools i don't know!!! i am usually regular 28 days (sometimes in the past have been 29) but this is my first cycle of charting so I don't know when I usually ovulate.

arghhhhhhhh.

Joolsiam · 18/07/2009 09:09

Sophable - do you normally ovulate on Day 17 and have a 28 day cycle ? Ov for me can vary between day 14 and 16, but the time from ovulation to AF never ever varies - it is always 14 days. That means that my cycle length changes depending on OV day. How long does FF say your average luteal phase is ? Perhaps you are in for a 30 day cycle, in which case the temp dip could have been implantation ?

In fact, I've just double checked, and my AF is not officially due till Monday, as I ov'ed on CD15 this time. B*gger ! Got to wait a few more hours to see if pre AF spotting starts.

Heathcliffscathy · 18/07/2009 09:03

hi ladies. i'm in need of some advice: am 11 DPO (ovulated day 17 of 28 day cycle). AF due today. tested this morning with cheap dipstick test BFN. my temp went up again today after a dip yesterday. i thought all preggo tests were accurate from day AF due?? so i'm definitely not preg?

this is torture. I was resigned to new cycle starting today yesterday. now there is a grain of hope in me...it's almost worse!

Joolsiam · 18/07/2009 08:58

Morning all

Buddha - love the new name

Curly - sorry to hear of your scan fiasco, but love Moons interpretation.

MLS - I don't know the answer, but your logic sounds pretty sensible to me

No news here - I am avoiding testing as the miscarriage clinic will be closed so no justification really - will test on Monday if no AF. Cramps and twinges so far, but no PMT and no sign of her - no spotting at all and the pub stank last night - could smell BO on people at ten paces, detect a glass of gin from the other side of the bar and the smell of the smokers coming back in from outside was more repellent than normal

We are off to a BBQ this PM - an annual event - this tme last year, I wasn't drinking cos I was sure I was PG - that ended in a CP 5 days later ..

MummyLovesSadie · 18/07/2009 08:30

Quick question before dashing out - I still had positive hpt on Wednesday, yesterday my temp rose & today finally had negative hpt. What I'm worried about though is that I might have missed my egg . Surely my levels could not have suddenly dropped to 0 & then I ovulated all within two days? I'm going to do an opk later.

BlueMoon1981 · 18/07/2009 00:11

thanks curly there definitely should be a hug emoticon on here, i'm sending a hug your way! if anyone else is around feel free to join in for a group hug. night everyone, hope you all have a lovely weekend

Curlywurlee · 18/07/2009 00:06

Moon I had so many meltdowns, I really didn't know how to cope, and that was without having pregnant women in my office... that must be so much harder Don't be so hard on yourself, just believe it will get better xxxx

Have a lovely time with your Mum tomorrow. Make sure you spoil yourselves

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 17/07/2009 23:54

i am ok curly thank you, just can't seem to get over the sadness this time, which is coming out as anger and frustration on everyone else. and those 3 pg ladies at work, i'm not ever gonna deal with that, especially the one with my edd. i look like some freak watching them intently as they walk past me.

but i am excited now my mum is coming tomorrow, i havent seen her since April so i cant wait

Curlywurlee · 17/07/2009 23:46

Thanks honey. How are you tonight?

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 17/07/2009 23:34

x post curly glad your spirits have lifted a little, well done on the mammoth post (again ). i still have everything crossed for you and your bean, although by the sounds of it normal service has resumed! maybe you were so worried about the scan that the sickness took a back seat and your nerves took over? you will be fine you see

BlueMoon1981 · 17/07/2009 23:29

kate glad things are looking up for you and dh. remember we are always here for you

Curlywurlee · 17/07/2009 23:28

Ok normal service has resumed for curly so sorry about the mammoth post that's ahead I'm feeling much better now especially as today I've been sick as a dog... happy days i think I need help!!!

Moon thank you so much, I love the idea that bean didn't need the scan today you always say the right thing. sorry things are still so tough but hopefully your mum will cheer you up xxx

cupcake you always make me smile too. Thanks for being around today. I can't wait till you get good news (soon soon soon!!!) and I can pay you back with handholding when needed

Jools any sign of that spotting tonight? I can't help getting hopeful for you

great news about the clomid baking

Neeko welcome back for Sunday. Hope stupid AF stays away. She's not welcome round here!!!

iggy I woke up at 5am and thought, oh no I forgot to say hello to Iggy yesterday. I think I'm on MN too much How are you honey?

Where is 4ever today. Hope everything is okay honey?

sabs thanks for the hand to hold today. How are things with you?

kate I'm glad things are okay with DH. I didn't get a strong line with the opks. I guessed that the day it was darkest was the one to go by and didn't actually get to bd after that day as dh was away but it seemed to work anyway so hopefully timing will be right for you too

MLS I'm glad that you got some answers from the doctors. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and sort it out. It's really worth taking acidophulus or something like actimel with antibiotics to stop any side effects like thrush. Hope your tum is better soon too xxx

Barbie it's so nice to have you back, it looks like you, me and gracie will all have scans next week

mermaid happy birthday to your DH. It's funny to hear that he can't relax totally being away from work. I imagine you as such a chilled out person so I guess you balance each other perfectly. Hope you have a lovely evening

Blue I'm so glad it's not just me on the brink of madness. Part of me was really glad today that the private scan didn't happen because it meant I didn't have to go back to the place where my whole world fell apart last year Hope that time flies until your scan and that after that you get to relax and breathe a little easier I can't believe how preggers you are though, it really makes me smile

VJ how are you finding the tiredness these days? Go pack that bag lady. We're expecting our first emmsys baby soon

buddhabelly great name, I just need to keep in my mind who you really are... (shhh). Swine flu is so worrying isn't it. From what I've read the best thing if you get any symptoms is to get the drugs as the risks are less than from the swine flu itself

Big waves to sophable becks hoping Lionstar Annie Scorpio and MM

buddha loving the name

mermaid enjoy dh's birthday

i'm still feeling a crap, just generally low and with everyone and everything. but on the positive side my af is nearly over, only cd4 though, unusual for me to be so light, but im grateful, as my 1st af after last mc was horribly heavy so i was expecting the same this time. my mum is coming over tomorrow, i havent seen her since mc so that will cheer me up

BuddhaBelly · 17/07/2009 17:19

Ladies, I have had to namechange (to protect the innocent) I was Mollie but due to personal circumstances I've had to change.
I have no chance of posting to every individual it's taken me hours to read everything! But I think a huge group hug is in need, lots of chocolate and of course rose in the greenhouse a la mermaid 4ever Special hug for you so sorry about the BFN, it must be so much more frustrating as you're on a time limit which just adds extra pressure
Barbie Welcome back from hols, I'm so pleased you had a good time, 9 wks wow!

I've had a few problems at work this week, we've had people in with swine flu, because we work in a Jobcentre they feel they have to come in or they won't get their money, so they are dragging themselves in and infecting everyone! We've had 2 members of staff go down with it yesterday, so contacted GP and she's written a note to say I must avoid public contact for a bit as management were expecting me to see the infected!! So they've moved me to a screened room (bit like a prison) very lonely but at least they won't know I'm on MN! So hopefully will be able to keep up more
Have a lovely weekend everyone, I'm hoping Jools has just tested too early and will start the BFP run for this month

VJaybigpants · 17/07/2009 16:33

hiya barbie welcome back, glad you had a fab hol.

blue I do hope you are getting your proper breaks, you make sure you look after yourself, at least it's Saturday tomorrow and you can hopefully get a long lie.

curly I'm so cross for you, these people have no idea do they!

mls I do hope the antbiotics clear up everything for you, you go and sit in the massage chair in the greenhouse for a while and relax

jools it's never too late, I too had a boss who put her career first, then started her family in her early forties, it's each to there own, don't give stuff what others think, you just do right by you

Hi sabs I've still not packed my hospital bag yet, so nothing to report there.

Having a nice relaxingish day today

bluesatinsash · 17/07/2009 15:12

Happy birthday mrmermaid - bet you're cooking him up a treat .

Welcome back barbie - was pleased you didn't sneak on here as it shows you were busy having fun!!!

curly - so on your behalf, do they not know how terrified we are pre-scan and counting down sleeps, preparing for bad news etc... You will be fine, you have a very sticky bean who has made you throw up big time...

I know what you mean about previous situations mirroring. My 20-week scan is on 4th August (for the whiteboard mermaid ) when DH and I were due to start our two weeks annual leave. First things I did was change annual leave back a week as both mc happened at the start of my hols last summer/xmas and there was no way I was tempting fate having bad news again at the start of a holiday . It sends you to the brink of madness sometimes.....

MLS - glad your tummy's better and hope your antibiotics shift what's causing your shadow. How did your lunch go with your ttc friends yesterday?

Jools - please don't think your too old. My experience of Toddler groups with DS was that most Mum's were late 30's early 40's to the point it was unusual to see a 'young' Mum in her 20's! They stood out due to springy skin and skinny jeans .

sabs - hi there - been buying anymore baby clobber of the tinternet?

Working v. hard today, this is my lunch break - at 3.10pm! Have been eating steadily though, my keyboard is covered in crumbs .
