YAY!!!!!! oh thank God; so pleased for her

Heathcliffscathy · 21/07/2009 11:11

fantastic news curly!!!

GracieGirl · 21/07/2009 11:09

Text from Curly "I have a lovely dancing Bean"

Heathcliffscathy · 21/07/2009 11:08

yeah. didn't really want an aries anyway (apols to all arians, i'm only joking of course)...

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 11:08

Iggy at your dh, mine sometimes says "If it happens it happens"..... NO IT BLOODY DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT!!! They just don't get the whole planning & timing issues that go with ttc do they? Regarding the happy families you saw - remember you didn't see them when they got home & kids refused to eat their dinner & then started squabbling with each other while the mother downed glass after glass of wine, lamenting her lost figure wondering what happened to the wonderful man she married as he is slumped in front of the telly scratching his wotsits! Things aren't always what they seam from the outside.

cupcakefairy · 21/07/2009 11:04

Ah, sorry soph I know the feeling of that dreaded temp drop! But it is ever-so-slightly better than seeing a BFN or AF...
Have some rosé and join us in the quest for lovely April babies

Heathcliffscathy · 21/07/2009 10:57

temperature dipped this morning so AF is on the way.

cupcakefairy · 21/07/2009 10:56

Thanks ginger that's exactly what I was saying to a friend at the weekend, I don't want to look back and wish I'd done this while I was in my twenties and still childless.. I know I am very fortunate to have a husband who will support me financially otherwise bills would definitely be coming first for me too! Hope you do get some of the enthusiasm back though
Not really a specific genre no, but mostly write about people/love/family/feelings... all sounds very pretentious doesn't it!

annie yay for huge posts...

anniebigpants · 21/07/2009 10:50

Warning, huge post alert!

gingermumi · 21/07/2009 10:36

cupcake, i have English Degree too but have ended up teaching rather tha writing which i would have loved to do- there are many frustrated writers in our Dept! I was a single parent at the time so paying the bills had to come first and ypu get into a rut and then look back and wonder where all your enthusiasm has gone, so good for you hun, i think it's cool! Do you have a genre?

BuddhaBelly · 21/07/2009 10:30

Curly Thinking of you
Jools Glad you are feeling a little better today
Moon Sending you a huge hug

Just a quickie whilst at work, so big waves to everyone else

cupcakefairy · 21/07/2009 10:29

Oh and jools sorry AF got you but here's hoping for slightly later ov this month!

cupcakefairy · 21/07/2009 10:28

Morning everyone Just lurking for news of curly so thought I'd say hello! Glad you enjoyed HP iggy (though we obviously have to try hard not to focus on all the things they missed out!!)
I think all DHs are the same about not 'deliberately trying'; we girls have to quite cunning as a result
I did an English degree too hope your DH gets to write one day!

Gracie hope Friday comes really quickly for you and you can admit to feeling good in your second trimester.

iggypiggy · 21/07/2009 10:07

MLS muddy cuddle sounds very cute! How you feeling at the mo?

Curly your plan sounds like a good one! Am determined to try the opks this month. I do have one problem tho.. DH is very against deliberately trying, he doesn't want it to stress us out - he says if it happens it happens so i try to make sure we BD around the right time - but don't want to pressurise him... it v. frustrating tho.

Will be thinking of you and your scan today xx

Moon So sorry you still feeling so low, but is totally understandable. Am sure you will have a baby in that room - it's just that the waiting for it all to happen is such a slow process. Glad you had a nice time with your mum coming. Have a huge hug from me. xx

Jools so sorry the evil witch got you too . Sounds like you had the same hormonal day before that i did. x

Neeko If I ever get PG again I reckon my boobs will go like yours - they were bad enough last time! Is all good sign tho isn't it

neeko mm & MLS you are speaking some strange foreign language - I know not of these excting sounding childrens tv things!

4ever thinking of you lovely x

mermaid how are you?

barbie Liking the idea of your cousin it impression!

cupcake The HP film was excellent last night! Writing sounds v. exciting. My DH would like to do that too. He did an English degree. So nice to have that to look forward to and to take your mind off ttc. xx

Vjay how is the packing going now

gracie I wish i had a smaller chest tho - am terrified of big mine could end up!

mrskate hope the cramps etc are a good sign for you x

Sophable have everything crossed for you. x

blue hello - hope you feeling good?

hoping well done on that hat! Am rubbish at creative things like that...

Also waves to Sabs Gingermumi Buddha and everyone else!

Right well - am sure I've missed people off! Sorry if I have.

Am going through slight miserable phase (boring I know) for some reason everything has intensifed this month and I need to chill out and stop obsessing... Am starting to hate seeing happy familes with children (saw loads at the weekend). Need to snap out of it and carry on life as normal.

gingermumi · 21/07/2009 09:50

Aw Bluemoon you sound so sad hun. The others are right though, it doesn't mean it will never be the baby's room. i've had 3mc but also 3 babies, never give up hope . There's a national organisation for mc too and they offer counselling i think. I still feel sad especially as the lo i lost would have been due this week.

Cup cake, thanks for the list- can beleive vj is almost there!

jools

Hope curly ok

GracieGirl · 21/07/2009 09:13

Curly I'm ready for hand holding and looking forward to receiving your happy smiley text later (whilst pacing around nervously waiting for news). Come on Barbie get that scan booked! Mine is Friday at 9am, we're in this together!

Neeko My abdo pain is all gone! It went a few days before I had that bleed last week, so I was more worried about lack of symptoms than pleased the pain had gone. I just need to get to my scan on friday then I might admit to actually feeling quite good now.

Barbie LOL at you walking round the supermarket smelling your hair!

Moon big hug. Maybe counselling would be a good idea, worth a try at least.

Cupcake when you write you first novel I think you should dedicate it to Mini Milks and Mermaid's greenhouse!

Joolsiam · 21/07/2009 09:05

Oh, and another silver lining - my back is really really sore again - well it has been for a few days but I've refused to take ibuprofen, just in case. Now I can pop all the painkillers I want !

Joolsiam · 21/07/2009 09:04

Its OK - I was certain yesterday it was all over, so have got most of it out of my system and am planning the next campaign. Yesterday was a real hormone storm - not usual at all.

Feeling strangely pleased though that my body was not playing tricks on me - I still feel nauseous, a bit dizzy and generally grot, so I think this is definitely a bug.

The silver lining is that a late AF hopefully means that I will ovulate the day after I come back from a weekend away without DP and hopefully he will be pleased to see me, so we can get some well-timed BD in.

barbie1 · 21/07/2009 09:04

jools

You will just have to go down the frozen sperm cubes route to take to the festival with you...

GracieGirl · 21/07/2009 09:00

Jools I'm sorry AF came.

hi girlies, im at work...boo!

Just to say curly im thinking about you today,lm sure you will be fine...your positive outcome might even make me make my next scan appt, something that ive been shying away from in case it isnt good news

moon honey my heart aches for you...please talk to dh or even show him the tread, men dont get the fact that we need to try agqain just to keep us focused and sane....

I have to walk around waitrose sniffing my hair the smell of the food was just unbearable and my hair smells of chanel and shampoo must of looked a right freak through as most of my face was covered as in the style of cusion it

Right back to work

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 07:00

Moon I echo what the others have said, you need to do something proactive. The only thing that is keeping me sane & positive at the moment is the knowledge that as soon as I show signs of ovulation, we will start to ttc. I've not discussed it with dh but I'm sure he knows it is on the cards.

Is there no way you could talk to dh & tell him you are ready to start again? I'm sure your whole outlook on life will be much rosier if you are trying again. Perhaps your dh can see how down you are at the moment & thinks that ttc would not be good for you, but he probably doesn't realise that part of the problem is that you feel like you are stagnating & the only way out of this black hole is by doing something positive.

cupcakefairy · 20/07/2009 22:26

You've all been very chatty tonight
Thanks for the positivity about the writing thing but girls, I highly doubt I will be published let alone rich and famous!!
blue thanks so much, that's a lovely thing to say, made me smile
And for those who asked- I mostly write short stories atm but want to start on a novel. Am looking into doing a distance learning/OU course on it once I leave work to get started.

Curly didn't realise the scan was tomorrow, will be thinking of you and here's another hand to hold congrats to your sister on being pg too... does this mean you'd be having your los around the same time (or are you trying not to think about that?) does she know you are too?

gracie 11 weeks! very exciting.

sophable sorry about the BFN but as we always say, it's not over til TEW sings!

By the way, I am a massive fan of Harry Potter too embarrassingly big fan actually the new film is great.

Moon and 4ever and jools - massive smassive (a phrase we use a lot in our family, no idea why!) hugs to all of you. Moon that brought a tear to my eye reading about you standing in the baby's room I'm so sorry you feel it's taken the joy out of your lovely new house. Please do consider that counselling, I'm sure it would help.
